Was macht man, wenn man sich eigentlich drauf eingestellt hat, dass der Sender die eigene Serie abgesetzt hat, das Finale bereits im Kasten ist und plötzlich ein anderer Sender mit einem Vertrag für eine weitere Staffel an die Tür klopft? Richtig: Dem alten Sender mal so richtig den Stinkefinger zeigen. Blöd nur: Gabs schon vorher kein Geld für die Serie, gibts jetzt mal so richtig kein Geld. Mit dreimarkfuffzig und 4 Seiten Drehbuch in der Tasche muss halt was gezaubert werden. Aber wir wissen ja schon aus Erfahrung: Not macht manchmal sehr erfinderisch und meine Güte, hat der gute JMS da weit ausgeholt und erzählt den episch...äh...minimalistischen Handlungsbogen von der Hochzeit der Sheridans (Heißt Delenn jetzt eigentlich Sheridan mit Nachnamen? Und welches Familiengericht ist für eventuelle Sorgerechtstreitigkeiten zuständig?) bis zum Ende des Univer....unserer Sonne. Und während man in der Hochzeitsnacht darüber sinniert, ob das tausendjährige Reich wenigstens dieses Mal länger hält als 12 Jahre bekommen wir auch schon die Auflösung: Ja. 100 Jahre Frieden (abgesehen von irgendwelchen Drakh-Seuchen, Telepathenkriegen und einem Kampf um Centauri Prime) liegen hinter uns. In nicht vorhanden Kulissen diskutieren also Studierende des soundsovielten Jahrhunderts bedeutungsschwanger über Sheridan und Delenn, als selbige höchstpersönlich erscheint, um das Mikro zu greifen und selbiges nach ein paar nichtssagenden Worten demonstratitv zu droppen. Und weiter geht die wilde Fahrt durch Zeit und Raum. Und zwar zu künftigen Space-Nazis. Der Dackelkrawattenträgernachfolger besinnt sich auf Tradition und will für den bösen Zweck ein paar gute Fakten schaffen. Unter zuhilfenahme modernster Holo-Videoschnitttechnik. Garibaldi beobachtet das Ganze von der Bande und lässt sich vom Standartenführer (Ja, er wurde zwischenzeitlich befördert. Und nein, wir mussten die Dienstgrade erstmal nachlesen und haben die nicht im Kopf) der Space-SS erst in seine Pläne einweihen um den Rechten dann zu linken. Treppenwitz der Menscheitsgeschichte ist quasi, dass Garibaldi damit den Krieg ausgelöst hat, der die Erde fast vollständig vernichtet. Insofern passts wieder. 500 Jahre später sehen wir das Ergebnis von Garibaldis Verhandlungskunst: Glühende Landschaften und eine Infrastruktur, als hätten die Verantwortllichen der deutschen Bahn das Kommando gehabt. Nämlich nicht vorhanden. Bis auf ein kleines unbeugsames Kloster. Und das Leben ist nicht leicht für die römischen Missionare, die als Besetzung in den befestigten Lagern Blablarum, Aqualium, Laberium und Kleinbudgetum liegen. Am Ende stellt sich sogar die komplette Folge als einziger Dia-Abend heraus. Der Mensch als Proto-Vorlone hat offenbar (genau wie Raphael während der Folge) Probleme mit der DSL Leitung und muss deshalb persönlich (oder besser: Energetisch) zur alten Heimat rollern, um dem Backup-Rechner einen Tritt zu verpassen. Quasi so wie 90% unserer Generation zu Weihnachten zur Geburtsstätte zurückkehert, um die heimischen IT-Probleme der Eltern zu lösen. Apropos. Dem Rechner, der den Menschen 3.0 gerendet hat, hätte man vielleicht einen RAM-Riegel mehr spendieren können. Denn da war offenbar wieder kein Geld da und wir fühlen uns bei dem Anblick an Musik-Videos der 90er Jahre erinnert. Die Folge schreit quasi aus jeder Faser "Geldmangel!" und die vom neuen Sender gekürzte Drehzeit tut auch ihr Übriges. Sie ist schon im Rahmen der 5ten Staffel entstanden und irgendein zwischending aus nix halbem und nix ganzem. So wie ein Doctor Who Neujahrsspecial nur mit einem 100tel des Budgets. Aber obwohl die Folge größtenteils aus Leuten besteht, die in mäßig belichteten Kulissen mäßig sinnstiftende Dinge sagen (Kleiner Tipp: Hör Dir auf der DVD mal den Audiokommentar zur Folge an. Da stellen die Produzenten mehrfach selber fest, dass jetzt wieder geredet wird) bewundern wir doch die Selbstsicherheit, in der das Ganze präsentiert wird. Und man sieht den Mangel rechts und links der Straße so sehr, dass man das ein oder andere Schlagloch verzeiht und unter "rustikaler Charme" verbucht. Raphael vergibt sogar seinen "Fetisch-Penis", sein "ganz eigenes Ding" wie er sagt. Und was immer er damit meint. Wir wissen, dass sich an dieser Folge die Geister scheiden, aber wir können nicht anders, als 4,5 von 6 Penissen zu vergeben.

Aloha, liebe Eiswürfelk(n)acker und Prophetendiskutiererinnen! Wir sind heute hier versammelt, um dem epischen Ende des Schattenkrieges beizuwohnen. Beenden wir also nun den zweiten Weltallkrieg mit einer lustigen Diskussionsrunde: Die Vorlonen zeigen die eiskalte Schulter und Delenn darf inzwischen Selbstgespräche mit den Schatten führen. Es kommt heraus: Vorlonen und Schatten sind wie zerstrittene Eltern, die jeweils für sich in Anspruch nehmen, genau zu wissen, wass das Beste für ihr Kind ist, während das Kind schon die Koffer packt. Also die der Eltern. Denn Sheridan und Delenn haben keinen Bock mehr auf das kindische Gezänk der Alten und setzen sie kurzerhand vor die Tür. Das kam unerwartet. Und dialoglastiger, als man es sich vielleicht erwartet hätte. Aber es passt: Denn es ging ja darum zu beweisen, dass die jungen Völker Verantwortung übernehmen können und sich eben nicht mehr die Köppe einschlagen, wenn Mami und Mami mal nicht gucken. Das ganze mit Diskussion statt Geballer zu beenden zeugt eben von genau jener Reife, die man den anderen beweisen will. Auch auf Centauri Prime wird derweil ein straffes Programm durchgezogen. Londo hat den eisernen Besen von Dr. Axel Stoll ausgepackt (ein promovierter Wissenschaftler!) und fegt damit einmal kräftig im Palast durch. Erst bringt Londo die Begleitschatten im Raum um, dann zündet er nicht nur die Expositionsbombe, sondern gleich mal die ganze Insel der Schatten. So. Schatteneinfluß auf Centauri beendet, eine gute Gelegenheit, eine Flasche Sekt zu köpfen. Und noch was anderes :) Tja, das kam unerwartet: Krieg vorbei, Schatten weg, Vorlonen Weg, Imperator weg, Centauri und Narn wieder frei. Und die Podcastcrew vom grauen Rat einer Meinung: Wir vergeben die Höchstnote 6 von 6 Penisse

Hallo und herzlich willkommen zur Gottkaiserdämmerung! Denn heute erfolgt der Finale Scherenschnitt für den nicht wirklich guten Cartagia. Der gute Londo hat sich nämlich im Attentatsbedarf seines geringsten Mißtrauens eine mit Klebeperlen verzierte Mord(s)waffe besorgt und ist auch bereit selbige einzusetzen. Londos Plan: G'Kar soll aus seinem Schauprozess einen Hau-Prozess machen und dabei ein bißchen Chaos stiften, während auch Londo stiften geht und dann den Stift unbemerkt in des Imperators Brust drückt. So hat er sich das jedenfalls ausgemalt. Das sind diese Momente, in denen wir der Serie ein deutlich dickeres Budget gewünscht hätten. Mit einen HBO-Etat zum Beispiel. Wir sagen ja immer, dass "Babylon 5" das "Game of Thrones" der 90er war, allerdings mit einem 20er als Budget. Versteh uns nicht falsch: Babylon 5 ist oft über sich hinaus gewachsen, eben weil jeder Cent umgedreht werden musst, aber hier hätte man sich wirklich mal gewünscht, dass JMS mit vollen Händen das Geld raushauen könnte. Trotzdem kann G'kar für Wirbel am Hofe sorgen, während Londo mit dem Imperator durch einen Kugel- Narn- und schallsicheren Vorhang verschwindet, um dann mit selbigen zu ringen. Also mit dem Imperator, nicht mit dem Vorhang. Am Ende ist es der gute Vir, der den Auslöser betätigt und den Imperator ins Jenseits befördert, was uns eine tollen Szene bringt, in der Vir von seinen Gewissensbissen geplagt wird. Londo wird zum Premierminister ernannt und gibt das Hanf..äh..Narn frei, was die Narn gleich zum Anlaß nehmen, den Palast auseinanderzunehmen. Bis auf den Thron. Auf selbigen wollen sie G'kar setzen, der das kichernd ablehnt. Auf der Station hat man inzwischen erkannt, wo die Vorlonen als nächstes zuschlagen werden. Und die Schatten haben auch ein neues Spielzeug: Das Genesis-Device aus Star Trek II. Nur, dass es Tot erschaffen kann, wo Leben ist. Sheridan hat deshalb eine Idee: Er will nicht nur eine aussichtslose Schlacht gegen die Vorlonen schlagen, sondern die Schatten sollen ihm auch noch in den Hintern treten. Sehr zur Freude der restlichen 99 Kriegsminister (Streichholz und Benzinkanister?) schickt er den guten Walther auf eine Selbstmordmission. Die er aber offenbar jederzeit hätte absagen können, wenn er nur rechtzeitig geheiratet hätte. Wir verfolgen am Ende der Folge, dass Ericcson Spacestaub schluckt und die Schatten den Köder und mit einem prophetischem letzten Logeintrag endet die Serie. Ach nee, wir sind ja grade erst bei der fünften Folge der vierten Staffel. Und mein Gott, hat die an Fahrt aufgenommen. Wir erinnern uns: Die ersten beiden Folgen verbrachte man ja größtenteils mit Diskutieren und philosophieren am Lagerfeuer. Und jetzt ist man offensichtlich schon so (zeigt winzige Lücke zwischen Zeigefinger und Daumen) kurz davor, sowohl den Schattenkrieg als auch die Handlung auf Centauri Prime zu beenden. JMS stopft jetzt alles rein was geht, weiß aber auch, uns an den richtigen Stellen mal kurz durchschnaufen zu lassen. Wenn man der Folge also etwas ankreiden möchte, ist es die leichte Tendenz zur Stopfgans zu mutieren und der etwas zu billo inzenierte Tyrannenmord. Aber das hat ja die oben erwähnten Gründe. Deshalb können wir wieder mal im oberen Bereich unserer Wertung bleiben und vergeben 5,5 Centauri-Penisse. Und es ist wirklich erstaunlich, welchen Eindruck der Cartagia-Darsteller hinterlassen hat, obwohl er nur eine Handvoll Folgen überhaupt zu sehen war. Grade bei den Nebendarstellern hat JMS ein Händchen beim Casting bewiesen, denn auch Bryan Cranston sagt mit seinen Blicken mehr, als tausend Worte. Und wir können uns nur wiederholen wenn wir sagen: VERDAMMT NOCH MAL CHRIS CHIBNALL! SO SCHREIBT MAN GUTE DIALOGE! VERDAMMT NOCHMAL!

Liebe besorgten Ausserirdischen, legt Eure gelben Westen bereit und macht schonmal Streckübungen mit dem rechten Arm, ihr werdet beides noch brauchen. Denn "das Volk" murrt. Delenns Pläne, eine große Armee zusammenzustellen und damit den schattigen Heimatplaneten anzugreifen stößt nicht unbedingt auf Gegenliebe. Und so trifft man sich zur Montagsdemo auf dem Zocalo. Um den rhetorisch ungelenken Ansprachen der Agitatoren zu lauschen und eventuelle Gegner der mehr als wackeligen Thesen zum Schweigen zu bringen. Allerdings hat die SpaceGida ihre Rechnung ohne den FöhrSheridan gemacht, der gleicht mal das Mikro übernimmt und eine Blut, Schweiß und Bodenrede hält, bei der selbst dem kritischsten Zusschauer ein begeistertes HEILigs Blechle, der Mann hat Recht(s) entfährt. Seltsamerweise betrachtet aber auch so gut wie keiner zwei elementare Dinge, die WIR schon ganz gerne abgeklärt hätten: Wurde Sheridan (wie ALLE anderen, die vorher auf Za'ha'dum waren) irgendwie umgepolt, gehirngewaschen oder zur Marionette der Schatten? Und wer zum Geier ist dieser riesige Typ mit dem Krönchen auf dem Kopp, der dem Captain auf Schritt und tritt folgt?!? Die Stimme der Vernunft ist erschreckenderweise Garibaldi, der Opa Goldauge mit dem gebotenen Mißtrauen gegenübertritt. Moment. Garibaldi? War der nicht verschwunden? Ja, stimmt. Aber der hat sich dank Frischhaltefolie wunderbar gehalten. Und auch des Chiefs Rückkehr wird mal nonchalant zwischen Krankenbett und Hangardock abgefrühstückt. Zwar fragt sich Franklin mal kurz, ob Garibaldi eventuell Gehirngewaschen war, allerdings kann sich Michael kraft seiner eigenen Kompetenz (Pruust) mal eben schnell selbst gesundschreiben und tritt seinen Dienst an, weil (und das wird wirklich so gesagt!) Die Sicherheit nicht genügend Personal hat, um ihn wieder in die Krankenstation zu bringen. Die Vorlonen haben das Zuckerbrot weggeschleckt und die Peitsche rausgeholt, wie Susan und Marcus zufällig bei einer dieser Typischen Sex-Gespräche bei Weltraum-Missionen entdecken. Stellt sich raus: Die Vorlonen haben es satt, nach den altbekannten Regeln zu spielen und die ganz dicke Wumme rausgeholt. Nach und nach wird jetzt einfach mal alle Welten ausgelöscht, die irgendwie Kontakt zu den Schatten hatten (und ja, den Plural haben wir nur für diesen billigen Reim gewählt). Ob das wohl Ärger für Centauri Prime bedeutet? Davon können Londo und Vir in ihrem lustigen Ränkelspiel am Hofe natürlich noch nichts ahnen, denn erstmal muss ja der Imperator weg. Mit Hilfe von G'Kar. So war jedenfalls der Plan, aber leider hat der Imperator einen Narn an dem Narn gefressen. Und wir? Schreien wir vor Glück? Wenn nicht dieser riesengroße gekrönte Elefant im Raum säße und etwas mehr Mißtrauen gegenüber der zurückgekehrten Fachkräfte herrschen würde UND am Schluß nicht dieses zeitliche Wirrwarr um Susan gewesen wäre, dann hätte die Folge auf jeden Fall die Traumnote verdient. Aber auch so weiß sie zu gefallen. Londo ist Londo und Cartagia herrlich crazy. Die Vorlonenflotte ist wieder mal einer dieser WOW!-Momente in der Serie und wir ahnen: köchelten die Fäkelien bislang auf kleiner Flamme vor sich hin, sind sie jetzt mal so richtig am Dampfen. Nach 2 Folgen Selbstfindungsphase sind jetzt alle auf ihren Positionen und wir erwarten die epische Schlacht zwischen Vorloren, Schatten und Allianz. Das ist ja schließlich ein Konflikt, der mit einem Knall enden muss, oder? Ich meine, sowas lässt sich doch nicht einfach wegdiskutieren, oder? Jedenfalls zucken die Tentakel schon voller Erregung und wir vergeben 5 von 6 Centauripenissen

Heute krankheitsbedingt mit nicht ganz so ausufernden Shownotes, sorry. Trotz gefährlichem Männerschnupfens und anderer Wehwehchen haben sich 3 Herren zusammengefunden, um sich den Wolf zu reden. Ach nee, noch ne Kleinigkeit: Vielen Dank an den Schreihalzz, Oehrk und Lara für die tolle Weihnachts Vertretung beim Podwichteln! Kommen wir nun also zügig zur Handlung: Susans Vorgesetzter wird vermisst und sie kann sich nun ungestraft einen Vodka nach dem anderen hinter die Binde kippen. Und weil einen im Suff die besten Ideen kommen, schnappt sie sich die Power-Telepathin Lyta und den weißen Stern 2.0 um auf Z'Hadum einfach mal nachzusehen. Stellt sich raus: Die Aktion hat nix gebracht, ausser schwarze Augen und schauspielerischen Untalent im Doppelpack. Was niemand ahnt: Unten kriecht eine Gestalt herum, hat sich irgendwie eine Decke und eine Feuerschale besorgt und schmeißt mit Captain-Rangabzeichen herum. Es wird doch nicht? Doch! Aus irgendeinem Grund hat JMS beschlossen, das Geheimnis um Sheridans angeblichen Tod schon in der ersten Folge ins Lagerfeuer zu schmeißen. Obwohl wir uns natürlich fragen: Wer ist dieser geheimnisvolle Buffy-Dämon der sich - Zitat - an ihrem Feuer wärmen - Zitat Ende - wärmen möchte. Knickknack Das eigentlich spannende passiert unterdess auf Centauri-Prime. Im vielzu vollgeproptem Mini-Thronsaal inklusive total unechter Säule... Gregor: "Man fühlt quasi die Rollen, auf denen diese Säule steht. Die vermutlich nicht viel höher ist als der Bildausschnitt" Aber auch Londo ist zur Salzsäule erstarrt. Er erfährt nicht nur, dass Morden noch lebt (wenn auch etwas knuspriger als er ihn in Erinnerung hatte), sondern dass die Schatten eine Basis auf Centauri Prime einrichten und dass Imperator Cartagia nicht wie erwartet bekloppt, sondern RICHTIG verrückt ist... Gregor: "Uh..der ist verrückt." Alex: "Also der ist schon mehr als Avery Brooks verrückt!" Gregor: "Verrückt sein macht einfach mehr Spaß, wenn Du Macht hast." Alex: "Oder ein Klavier" Aber da Londo perfekt auf der Klaviatur der Macht(TM) spielen kann, holt er sich den guten Vir zur Seite und schmiedet auch schon seinen Plan: MerkelDer Imperator muss weg! Selten gingen die Meinungen zu einer Folge weiter auseinander. Erstseher Alex ist relativ beeindruckt von der Folge, während Gregor und Sascha feststellen, dass die rosarote Retroperspektivbrille mal wieder neue Gläse braucht. Rechnen wir also zusammen und erhalten 4,5 von 6 Penissen

Heute bestreitet der Hauptcharakter die Nebenhandlung, die schnell erzählt ist. Garibaldi erzählt seinem Chef von einem geheimnisvollen grauen Sektor, in dem manchmal ganze Decks verschwinden sollen. Ach nee, von ganzen Decks war doch keine Rede. Keine Ahnung, wie wir darauf kommen. Egal. Sheridan war früher offenbar begeisterter Geocacher und macht sich sofort auf die Suche. Im grauen Sektor findet er aber keine Dose, sondern nur einen toten Markab (ein Zeichen für die kommende Folge?), der ihn mit einem Energiewesen ansteckt, das ab sofort im Captain wohnt und ihn mit schlecht animierten Visionen quält. Aber unser Captain ist zwar auf den Kopf gefallen, aber nicht blöd, zählt 1 und 1 zusammen und bringt das Energiewesen nach Hause: In Sektor 14, da wo mal eine Station namens Babylon 4 verschwunden war. Urzo hat nämlich Probleme zu Hause. Die müssen bei ein bis 50 leckeren Brivari geklärt werden. Londo vergisst allerdings, seinen alten Kumpel nach Details zu fragen und wendet sich ausgerechnet an den MenschCentauri, der jenem die ganze Sch...ande eingebrockt hat. Wir kriegen heraus: Refa kocht sein eigenes Süppchen auf Centauri Prime und geht dabei über Leichen. Und eine weitere wird sich gleich dazugesellen. Denn Urzo fordert seinen Fecht- und Zechkumpanen zum Duell auf Leben und Tod. Alles in allem eine sehr durchwachsene Folge. Man könnte auch sagen: ein zweischneidiges Schwert, höhö. Auf der einen Seite die total generische "Der Captain ist bessesen" Handlung und auf der anderen zwei unserer Lieblingscharaktere im Duett und Duell. Wobei diese Geschichte mit Kampf auf Leben und Tod und Meine Ehre ist größer als Deine inzwischen ganz schön - Achtung! - totgeritten ist. Und so schaffen es selbst Londo und Vir nicht, die Folge über den Durchschnitt zu hieven und wir vergeben 3 von 6 Penissen
