jQuery(document).ready(function(){ cab.clickify(); }); Original Podcast with clickable words https://tinyurl.com/2emsyw9k Contact: irishlingos@gmail.com Over 10,000 people living in emergency accommodation. Os cionn 10,000 duine ag cur fúthu i gcóiríocht éigeandála. It is estimated that over 10,000 people are living in emergency accommodation in various parts of the country, the highest number in two years. Áirítear os cionn 10,000 duine a bheith ag cur fúthu i gcóiríocht éigeandála in áiteanna éagsúla ar fud na tíre, sin an líon is airde le dhá bhliain. According to the latest information from the Department of Housing, there were 10,049 people living in emergency accommodation during the week between 18-24 April. De réir na faisnéise is deireanaí ón Roinn Tithíochta, bhí 10,049 duine ina gcónaí i gcóiríocht éigeandála i gcaitheamh na seachtaine idir an 18-24 Aibreán. This figure includes 7,105 adults and 2,944 children, including 1,308 families. Cuimsíonn an figiúr seo 7,105 duine fásta agus 2,944 leanbh, 1,308 teaghlach san áireamh. 9,825 people were in emergency accommodation in March. 9,825 duine a bhí i gcóiríocht éigeandála i mí an Mhárta. Mike Allen of the charity Focus Ireland said the Covíd-19 pandemic had made great strides in providing the right accommodation for the homeless but that things were going from strength to strength at the moment. Dúirt Mike Allen ón gcarthanas Focus Ireland go ndearnadh an-dul chun cinn maidir le cóiríocht cheart a chur ar fáil do dhaoine gan dídean i gcaitheamh na paindéime Covíd-19 ach go bhfuil cúrsaí ag dul ó rath go tréan faoi láthair. Speaking on RTÉ, Mike Allen pointed out that since the middle of last year, more people have been evicted from their homes for two reasons. Ag labhairt dó ar RTÉ, thug Mike Allen le fios go bhfuil níos mó daoine á gcur amach as a dtithe ó lár na bliana seo caite agus go bhfuil dhá chúis leis sin. First, he argued, more landlords have been selling their homes since social restrictions came to an end. Ar an gcéad dul síos, a mhaígh sé, tá níos mó tiarnaí talún ag díol a gcuid tithe ó tháinig deireadh le srianta sóisialta. Secondly, he said, more people are in arrears because the amount of money given to them under the Housing Assistance Payment is not enough. Ar an dara dul síos, a dúirt sé, tá riaráistí ar níos mó daoine mar gheall nach leor an méid airgid a thugtar dóibh faoin Íocaíocht Cúnaimh Tithíochta. The long-standing solution, says Mike Allen, is to build more homes. Níl de réiteach ar an scéal i bhfad na haimsire, arsa Mike Allen, ach tuilleadh tithe a thógáil. In the meantime, he said, there is a need to ensure that people are not evicted and to that end the Housing Assistance Payment needs to be increased. Idir an dá linn, ar sé, caithfear a chinntiú nach gcuirfear daoine amach as a dtithe agus chuige sin ní mór an Íocaíocht Cúnaimh Tithíochta a mhéadú. Pat Greene of the charity Clan Simon said the Government should buy, renovate and make available to the homeless a large number of vacant homes across the country. Dúirt Pat Greene ón gcarthanas Clann Shíomóin gur chóir don Rialtas an líon mór tithe folmha ar fud na tíre a cheannach, a athchóiriú agus a chur ar fáil do dhaoine gan dídean cuí. In a statement, the Department of Housing said the large number of people living in emergency accommodation was a cause for concern. I ráiteas, dúirt an Roinn Tithíochta gur údar imní an líon mór daoine atá ina gcónaí i gcóiríocht éigeandála. The statement also said that the State is to provide 11,800 social homes this year as part of the Government's strategy to tackle the crisis. Dúradh sa ráiteas freisin go bhfuil 11,800 teach sóisialta le cur ar fáil ag an Stát i mbliana mar chuid de straitéis an Rialtais le dul i ngleic leis an ngéarchéim. That's a significant increase, it was said, from last year, when 9,183 social houses were provided, up 17% from the previous year again. Sin ardú suntasach, a dúradh,

Troy has been in the music business for quite a long time but he did not start there. Troy goes into pretty cool detail about how he made the climb to success in the music industry as well as how he got into some pretty awesome adventures along the way!I would say that from our days of touring with Florida Georgia Line we had our ups and downs and even butted heads about how we thought the show should travel down the road but through it all we remained friends.
