It's February 29th, the extra day, and in its honor Gia and Keisha are a bit...extra. So is Sonny! Keep it together, man! Will Dex return to Port Charles to help him/keep Joss warm? Is that a good idea? And speaking of extra, Drew. Poor Carly. She probably threw up a little bit in her mouth. Both Lois and Tracy can be a little bit extra, but they struck a nice balance for Brook Lynn's sake. And thankfully she won't have to wear that pile of satin on her special day. [TRANSCRIPT] [click, static] Breaker, breaker, this is Whiskey calling out for— [click, static] Well, I'm not sure, actually. I thought…I thought Birdie had started transmitting again and even though things sounded a little different to me, I didn't think much of it, thought maybe the signal was just getting weaker, except… Birdie has never sent me numbers before. Let alone a string of them without any other information. And listening to them over and over again, trying to understand what they mean…it's hard to deny that something is different. I thought I'd just gotten so good at translating morse, but you—whoever you are—you're transmitting slower. I'm sure of it now. Which begs the question…how long have you been transmitting? When was the first time I noticed things sounding a little different? When is the last time Birdie sent me something? I have all the messages written down, so I'll go back through and see if I can pinpoint… Okay. But first: 4640 10052—those were the numbers you sent through. And I'm damned if I have any idea what it means. It's not a phone number, or a zip code…it might not even be two separate numbers, though there was a significant gap between them. Math has never been my strong suit. So if you want to give me a hint, mysterious stranger… [click, static] God, you really are a stranger, aren't you? There's someone else out there. I—I can't believe it. If this is Birdie and you've just changed the style of your transmissions, please tell me? I can't bear to get my hopes up. [click, static] And if this is Harry messing around somehow, I will come back to Pennsylvania and destroy all your paintings. Whiskey out. [click, static]

Come Follow Me: Mental Health Insights with Dr. David T. Morgan
In this episode we'll talk about the Book of Ephesians. Different than some of Paul's other writings, the Book of Ephesians seems to be a little more general in nature. The concepts within apply to all followers of Jesus Christ. We'll talk about Paul's discussion of the armor of God and how it can protect us against temptation. We'll review how we similarly protect ourselves against mental and emotional struggles by adopting and implementing protections. We'll also discuss some recent teachings by church leaders that can help us improve our mental and emotional health. (See below for links to the referenced teachings). In this episode I step aside from clinical talk, and revisit a phone call I had with listener Chauncey.Last week I had a great conversation with Chauncey. We discussed the challenges a new marketer can face when working a territory for the first time.In this episode I discuss the difference between referral sources that provide a lot of referrals versus the ones that only provide a few or have never provided a referral. I call these crock pot referral sources and microwave referral sources.During the episode I discuss the importance of creating a consistent and repeatable process that will help referral sources build a certain level of expectation.I talk about developing a balance between selling hospice philosophy and hospice services.Towards the end I explain that all of hospice is really about trust and relationship. These two things are the foundation for which every hospice should be built upon. ==============================As always, don't forget to call, text or email to leave feedback! I mean, I've seen a few dogs since I got on the road. Stray cats, deer, squirrels, a couple of raccoons and possums…animals really are the only thing I do have to look out for when I'm on the road. But today I saw a dog that looked… [click, static] I don't know how else to describe it, but it looked loved. It wasn't mangy or dirty or underfed. I could see a collar around its neck. My brain didn't quite process it at first. It was…what's the word— [click, static] incongruous. Didn't make sense. Almost an entire minute passed before it clicked in my brain. (huff of laughter) I turned around so fast. Drove slow, keeping my eyes peeled for it. When I finally saw it, I barely threw the car into park before jumping out. I'm not sure what my plan was exactly, but I just…ran at the thing. It was walking along the side of the road, sniffing the ground, and I guess I thought—well, a dog looking like that, it must have some kind of human taking care of it, right? If it could…take me to its owner then maybe… [click, static] I know. But I did say that planning was never my thing. It raced off, of course. And I like to think of myself as being pretty in shape—I guess all those years of not smoking has made it easier to run—but there was no way I was going to catch up to what I'm pretty sure was a border collie. [click, static] Despite my plans, I've ended up right back in the flat. I'm in Kansas now and given the other option was Texas, I guess it was going to be flat either way. But maybe it's not a bad thing—if the land stretches as far as the eye can see when I'm driving, I might pick up on something in the distance I wouldn't have otherwise noticed. I'm gonna drive up and down the same road tomorrow, I think. Just in case I can catch sight of that dog again. [click, static] It's strange, you know? Seeing something treated with such care. I don't know much about dogs, but it seemed…happy. Even though it was all by itself, god knows how far away from its home or the person who's looking after it, it looked happy. I guess that's what being cared for does. It makes it so that even the loneliest parts of life seem surmountable. When you're accustomed to the feel of a warm hand, the night chill doesn't seem so bad. When you've got someone to brush you down each night, or clean your collar, it doesn't matter that you're getting your feet dirty on a dusty road. [click, static] I know I'm not a dog, but sometimes I— [click, static] It'd be nice to be cared for. Or to have something to care for myself. The absence of love…erodes you. It compounds, over and over, until even the tiniest moment of self-aware solitude feels like a knife sliding between your ribs. [click, static] But the reverse—the slightest bit of care—is a bulwark against so much. Loneliness is a bottomless pit with sides you can't get a grip one and love is a ladder you can always use to climb your way out, even if there isn't anyone at the top. (huff) God, that's maudlin. Here I am, jealous of a dog. It looked soft. [click, static]

In this episode of "Chatting With The Lightkeeper," your host Edward delves into a thought-provoking and informative discussion surrounding the sensitive topics of unsolicited explicit images, the fundamental principles of BDSM, and crucial red flags within the BDSM lifestyle. With a focus on maintaining a respectful and educational tone, Edward addresses these subjects with the intention of fostering understanding and promoting healthy communication. The episode begins by addressing a contemporary concern in the digital age: the rise of unsolicited explicit pictures. Edward sheds light on the importance of consent, respect, and personal boundaries, emphasizing the significance of treating others with dignity both online and offline. Drawing upon the concepts of consent central to BDSM dynamics, Edward explores how these principles can be applied to digital interactions, encouraging listeners to consider the ethical implications of their actions. Transitioning to the core of the episode, Edward introduces listeners to the four pillars of BDSM. He provides a comprehensive overview of each pillar, discussing their psychological and emotional aspects, and highlighting the importance of trust and open communication between consenting adults engaged in BDSM practices. Through this exploration, Edward aims to demystify misconceptions and encourage a deeper understanding of the lifestyle. In the latter part of the episode, Edward shifts the focus to red flags within the BDSM community and lifestyle. Drawing on his research and knowledge, he shares key warning signs that listeners should be aware of when engaging in BDSM relationships or activities. By emphasizing the significance of informed consent, mutual respect, and emotional safety, Edward empowers listeners to recognize potential signs of abusive behavior and make informed decisions to protect their well-being. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/chattingwiththelightkeepr/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/chattingwiththelightkeepr/support

Nowhere on the Suffolk Coast holds as much allure for the lover of the strange than the ruins that were Old Dunwich. Once a thriving seaport, and vital to the nation's wellbeing, it tumbled into the sea through bad weather and bad planning. Rumours sprang up that Dunwich did not lie easily though, and some said the bells of the churches under the water still pealed out. It was until recently that science showed the extent of what remained, and came to a shocking conclusion. Do you preach Jesus or a moral idol made in the image of religion? The Pharisees had God all figured out. They observed (rather poorly I would add) the 10 Commandments and added another 600+ rules on top of those for good measure. After all, whoever has the most rules wins right? What ensued was a moral standard, weaponized by the law, that not only reinforced surface level cleanliness and behavior modification, but it also created the needed separation between those who “kept” the law and those who didn't. When Jesus arrived on the scene, He challenged the moral idol that religion had built and revealed Who God had always been. Jesus had to systematically strip away the veil of the law which had built a great delusional chasm of distance and separation. Emmanuel showed us what it was like to truly be loved, seen, cared for and accepted without any performancism needed…ever. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/thekingdom4everyone/support

The Ghosts of Harrenhal: A Song of Ice and Fire Podcast (ASOIAF)
Jon and his wildling friends take cover from a storm in a ruined village and discover an old man. The men hear voices coming from the old tower in the lake. Jon refuses to kill the old man, and when a direwolf attacks the group, Jon flees on the man's horse. Simon and Mackelly think maybe they heard "Hodor" coming from that tower.Chapter Review:Jon Snow, Yigrette, and the wildling raiders ride south through The Gift, to avoid Night's Watch patrols. The wildlings are amazed by the occasional “castle” that are actually nothing more than watchtowers. Jon and Yigrette debate the pros and cons of stealing women before Jon confides in Yigrette that the wildlings stand no chance at winning this war. The statement makes Yigrette concerned that she's backed the wrong horse, vouching for him as a fallen crow.Jon knows he has to beat this group to Castle Black or his brothers will be in serious trouble, as the castle has no defenses on the southern side. However, he worries about what will happen to Yigrette if he escapes. When a bad storm rolls in, the group takes refuge in an abandoned village next to a lake. The lake has a ruined tower sitting in its middle. The wildling scouts find an old man occupying the village. Jon knows the man will die and leaves the scene. He tells Yigrette the history of the tower in the lake, and Yigrette tells him some men have heard voices coming from it. She thinks it's ghosts.Jon is called back to the old man and told to kill him to prove his loyalty to the wildlings. Jon refuses, so Yigrette does the deed. At that moment, a direwolf attacks the group and Jon uses the chaos to jump on the dead man's horse and escape. Later he finds an arrow in his leg and wonders if it's Yigrette's. He cleans the wound and rides for Castle Black.Characters/Places/Names/Events:Jon Snow - Bastard son of Ned Stark. Member of the Night's Watch.
