College soccer is unique to the American sporting culture. Much of youth soccer's growth has been built around the promise of earning a college scholarship to play the sport, an attribute that is unique to both the game and higher education in the United States. Often, that puts it at conflict with the development pathways most commonly used to build strong national team programs in other countries. And, yet, college soccer itself doesn't generate significant revenue or fan interest. That leaves college soccer in the unenvious place of having a misunderstood identity. However, in 2014, Jordan Morris emerged on the senior national team scene while still playing at Stanford. He stayed and helped lead the Cardinal to an NCAA national championship, just months after scoring his first USMNT goal against Mexico. His national team popularity brought attention to mens's college soccer like never before. Jeremy Gunn coached Morris during his time at Stanford and joined the show to talk about the players impact on the program and soccer in America. He recounts how Morris caught the attention of Jurgen Klinsmann during a scrimmage between the national team and Stanford, and the call-up that followed. Gunn reflect on the reasons Morris stayed at Stanford when he could have left, and so much more. Two veteran political journalists Jim Asher and Dale Eisman who have investigated and analyzed Washington power for decades discuss what they saw in watching the Trump Inauguration and what they think it portends. It was a weird day from the guest list to the richest man in the world making a Nazi salute and it's likely to get more weird, they agree. James Asher, now retired, was a veteran investigative journalist and Pulitzer-Prize winning editor. Over his career, he worked as reporter and editor at five newspapers on the East Coast, including the Philadelphia Inquirer and The Baltimore Sun, In 2002, he moved to Washington as national investigative editor for The Knight Rider company. He later ran the Washington Bureau for the McClatchy Co., which bought Knight Ridder in 2006. Under his leadership, McClatchy set a standard for independence in Washington, winning numerous national awards for journalistic excellence. In 2017, he shared a Pulitzer for his work on the global Panama Papers document leak about off-shore tax havens. In all, he managed and edited four other projects that were finalists for a Pulitzer, including two for McClatchy and two for The Sun. After leaving McClatchy, he worked for Injustice Watch, a nonprofit focused on criminal justice reform, and he helped The Associated Press with its coverage of the Mueller investigation of Donald Trump. A native of Utica, NY, Asher holds a B.S. and a M.S. from Syracuse University and did postgraduate work in finance, economics and accounting in Temple University's MBA program. Dale Eisman is a veteran journalist who capped a 37-year newspaper career in Virginia and Washington DC with an eight-year stint advocating for good governance as a writer and editor at Common Cause. He's covered trials in state and federal courts and campaigns for offices from city council to the Virginia statehouse to the US House and Senate. He's also been catapulted off aircraft carriers and tracked sailors, soldiers, airmen and Marines in the US, Europe, and the Middle East. Now retired, he lives in Surf City, NC.

But Alayne has a way with him (1 part matronly no-nonsense, 1 part tolerating kissing and groping). He agrees to get out of bed. They descend to Sky via the chain winch. It's scary but rapid. From there Mya Stone guides them by mule down the remainder of the mountain. Alayne rides with Randa Royce, daughter of Lord Nestor. Randa is chatty and kind but Alayne was told to be wary of her.At the Gates of the Moon after a long, cold journey, Alayne finds her father LIttlefinger. He reveals that he's brokered a betrothal for Alayne. She needs to woo Harry the Heir a ward of Lady Waynwood. Not the heir of the Waynwoods, but the heir to the Vale itself. We've been talking about it more, the whole “Junior is already dead over there” thing. And we can't think of any other explanation than the one we first came up with—that he must have died over in the original timeline, the “correct” timeline, whatever you want to call it, and that…because he no longer exists there, removing him here would allow our timelines to merge. But I need to know, is that…right? I mean, I know that that's been the solution for a while—or at least we've been operating under the assumption that that was the solution—but does he really not exist in that other timeline anymore? Is there nowhere for him to go if we—if we did fix it? Through some other means? (sighs) I don't know. There are plenty of things in this world that can't be fixed. Time can't be turned back on itself—at least, I don't think it can, but, god, after everything I've learned this past year, who knows what's possible— I can't think about that. There's only so many insane hypotheticals I'm willing to humor. Harry wants so badly to fix it. Even knowing that it was me killing—that it was Billings' dying that brought us here I think she…I think she heard me when I talked about where the blame stops. And I don't mean just heard my broadcast, I think she really…heard me. I think she understands that I can hate myself for what I did and be furious with her for putting me in that position in the first place. In all these years, she never—she never called me a murderer for what I did. She knew that sometimes the guilt would fill me up so much I'd start to drown and she…she never held me under. I don't know if she judged me for it—judges me for it. If it changed the way she saw me—she never gave any indication that it did but finding out that Pete messed up and killed—I mean, it changed her perspective on him enough to rat him out, destroy his life. Destroy all our lives. Maybe it's because it was an accident or self-defense but neither of those things ever made me feel any better about what I did, so… Maybe Harry sees killing Junior before he can kill us as some kind of self defense but I don't think it is.
