Matthew Chapin earned the 2024 MotoAmerica Junior Cup Championship by 81 points after going on a run that included six wins in the final eight races of the season. Chapin was fast, consistent and he always seemed to put himself in the right place. Now, heading into the 2025 season, Chapin has again put himself in the right spot at the right time as he will move up to the SC-Project Twins Cup on a RevZilla/Motul/Vance & Hines Suzuki GSX-8R - the bike that very nearly won last year's title in the hands of Rocco Landers. We caught up with the high school junior to talk about the year past, the year ahead, and much more on this week's Off Track With Carruthers And Bice.Support the show
This should be fun, as i'm stoked to get to talk to Rocco Landers again now that the season has ended. Rocco had double-duty this season yet again, but this time it was Twins Cup and Baggers. In Twins he rode the new Suzuki GS-8R, while in Baggers he rode a Harley Road Glide.. both of these bikes were sponsored by Revzilla / Vance & Hines. All year long Rocco was again proving he can ride just about anything super fast. Enjoy!! Like / Subscribe / Comment / Share..... !!---Sign up for your Next TrackDaz event:---!! We sometimes forget that Rocco Landers is just 17 years old. Perhaps that stems from the fact that the "kid" has been winning in the MotoAmerica Championship since he was 14. And he's done quite well, thank you very much. How well? How about 40 total victories: 29 in Junior Cup, nine in Twins Cup and, thanks to his two wins at Brainerd International Raceway last weekend, two in Supersport. Those wins earned him two Junior Cup Championships and a Twins Cup title before he departed for the intense battles of the Supersport class. We caught up with Landers for this week's episode of Off Track With Carruthers And Bice to discuss this year, the past and the future. In this episode I talk with retired motorcycle racer, author, inventor, entrepreneur and founder of the California Superbike School, Keith Code. Keith and I talk briefly about his early days of motorcycle racing, and then how he came to start training riders in 1976 with his "Keith Code Rider Improvement Program". Keith goes over the fact that no one was doing motorcycle coaching at the time that he started his program. At first he wasn't sure if he could teach others as he didn't consider himself to be a very good student. But after doing the Student Hat Course developed by L. Ron Hubbard, Keith found that he now understood the barriers that people run into when learning and studying a new subject. He also found out that not only could he learn, but that he had actually become a very good student, and that he also now had the understanding and communication skills to teach others as well. Keith personally trained and coached Wayne Rainey, one of the founders of the MotoAmerica motorcyle racing series, and winner of the Daytona 200 and three time winner of the 500cc World Championship. We talk about how Keith taught himself physics and engineering so he could understand the dynamics of how motorcycles work and apply that to help motorcycle racers and road riders improve their riding skills both on and off the track. All of this led to the founding and great success of the California Superbike School. The rest, as they say, is history and now celebrating its 40th year in operation, the school has 100 coaches and students around the world in 13 countries including parts of Europe, the Middle East and Asia, such as India, Scandinavia, Italy, England, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Taiwan, China and the Philippines. Keith has personally trained 130,000 riders and his school has trained 200,000 riders worldwide. In Keith's school, everyone improves, guaranteed. If someone feels they haven't improved, they are given additional training free of charge. Keith's school is currently coaching Rocco Landers who is currently leading the MotoAmerica Liqui Moly Junior Cup series. If you would like to learn more about L.
