In this exclusive Race Industry Week interview, Michael Printup, Chief Operating Officer of Parella Motorsports Holdings (PMH), reveals the strategic vision shaping the future of SpeedTour and the Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) — from schedule refinement and competitor-focused planning to the evolution of what “vintage racing” means in a modern motorsport landscape.Under the SpeedTour banner, SVRA now shares the paddock with Trans Am, Formula Regional Americas, Formula 4, and GT racing, creating one of the most diverse motorsport environments in North America — a true “moving museum” with a professional racing event feel. For 2026, PMH has refined its national calendar to focus on quality over quantity, cutting SpeedTour events from 24 to 17 while delivering more meaningful track time, clearer planning tools, and fully published minute-by-minute schedules for every race weekend.

Whether you're wrenching on a hopeless Craigslist find or prepping for ChampCar, Lucky Dog, SCCA, NASA, or Lemons, you're in good company here.In this Wedge Ep 413 Tim sees his ENTIRE family and makes memories, Chris tells you how to destroy a bridge in Kansas and Chrissy likes people in CO while Mental rejects a meeting with F1 star Alex AlbonReally it's our annual hippie thankful episode as we reminisce on great and cool people, places and experiences we had this year! Come with us as we take a deep dive into a full season of amateur racing: the victories, the disasters, the questionable decisions, the creative themes, the friendships, and the laughs that made 2025 unforgettable. We open with the classic E1R humor and Mopar nerdiness: the legendary 413 Max Wedge engine and why “the wedgie wins again” still makes us giggle Then we jump into a whirlwind of stories from the road and the paddock:F1 qualifying in Las Vegas and sneaking into better seats because track workers weren't enforcing anything Judging at Road America, NOLA, Buttonwillow, New Hampshire, and more, including Barbie-themed chaos, airplane costumes, and the infamous “...just $30 a day will keep Greg drunk…” signs Being part of a massive amateur-racing community where listeners reach out for help with everything from roll-cage builders in DFW to Mazda3 parts lists, and how this community of listeners has grown enough that we can connect racers across the country We also reflect on:Seat time wins, broken flip flops, and hobby-horsing through the paddock at Pitt RaceOff-the-grid trips to remote campsites, ghost towns, and the “tippy-top” of Maine where even Starlink barely kept us alive How aging racers adapt — glasses, hearing aids, sensible eating, and the humbling moment when Mental was reminded he can't keep up with Tim all weekend anymore This episode is a celebration of what makes grassroots motorsport magical:

In this episode of “The Logbook” - John Yasenko recounts the discovery and historical significance of a unique 1935 front-wheel-drive speedster created by Benjamin F. Harris III. Initially found in a neglected state in 1987, the vehicle's unusual design and Harris's innovative contributions to automotive history intrigued John and his Brother, leading to an extensive pre-internet research endeavor. Ben Harris, an early industrial designer and motorsport architect, was deeply involved in the development of American road racing and SCCA's national organization. He collaborated with notable figures like Harley Earl and Jim Kimberly, and played a pivotal role in the establishment of the Road America race track. John presents us with rich with historical insights, personal anecdotes, and acknowledges the extensive research and supportive collaborations that uncovered Harris's legacy, culminating in his posthumous induction into the SCCA Walk of Fame in 2020. John Yasenko's purchase of the remains of the 1935 Harris FWD Speedster decades ago led him into conducting 36 years of research into the car and its creator, Benjamin F. Harris. John's objective has been to document how Harris was a key figure in postwar racetrack design and development, and in transforming the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) into a national organization. John is a lifelong car enthusiast, business owner, restorer and historian, automotive show host, and all-around jack of all trades. ===== (Oo---x---oO) ===== 00:00 Discovery of the Harris Speedster 01:15 Ben Harris: The Man Behind the Machine 02:54 Innovative Design Elements of the Harris Speedster 03:33 Harris's Collaborations and Achievements 05:27 Racing Legacy and Contributions to Motorsport 09:36 Involvement in SCCA and Road America 17:29 Advocacy for Safety in Motorsport 24:29 Legacy and Induction into the Walk of Fame 29:15 Conclusion and Acknowledgements ==================== The Motoring Podcast Network : Years of racing, wrenching and Motorsports experience brings together a top notch collection of knowledge, stories and information. #everyonehasastory #gtmbreakfix - motoringpodcast.net More Information: https://www.motoringpodcast.net/ Become a VIP at: https://www.patreon.com/gtmotorsports Online Magazine: https://www.gtmotorsports.org/ This episode is part of our HISTORY OF MOTORSPORTS SERIES and is sponsored in part by: The International Motor Racing Research Center (IMRRC), The Society of Automotive Historians (SAH), The Watkins Glen Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Argetsinger Family - and was recorded in front of a live studio audience.

The IndyCar Series took on legendary Road America this past weekend, and our resident open wheeler Conor Daly was once again in action. He joins co-host Chase Holden this week on Speed Street to discuss his struggles throughout the weekend and how a penalty sunk his efforts at a decent finish. Conor explains that the new hybrid continues to be difficult for his team, as the added weight has caused everyone in the paddock to go back to the drawing board for setups and balance. Ultimately, a design difficulty in the aero screen caused Conor to misread an IndyCar official's hand gestures, which led to him receiving a stop-and-go penalty, effectively taking him out of contention.Road America pole sitter Louis Foster joins the race to celebrate his first ever series P1 start and how he and his team were shocked to have found so much speed throughout the qualifying session. He and Conor share thoughts on the search for consistency throughout a season, and how it can be frustrating competing against the better funded teams who seem to have things together week in week out. Louis speaks on the viral clip of his mustache shaving from the past weekend and how out of the car storylines are good for IndyCar fans to get to know the drivers better. The guys also touch on Louis' major crash in St. Louis, changing team culture and the upcoming test at Iowa.
