We've made it through another round of MotoAmerica. This time, we had quite the adventure with a quick 2-day VIR test (in the wet), a bit of a road trip from there up to Elkhart Lake, WI for Round 3 of Superbike. The rain followed us all the way there, and fortunately stayed away long enough for us to get a couple of dry races in. Richard and Dustin will discuss all of that, and perhaps get a bit technical for this one, so NERD ALERT! hope you enjoy.Get signed up for your next TrackDaz event:http://trackdaz.trackrabbit.comYamaha OEM Oil Filter:https://amzn.to/3CBwpJqFire-Power Full Synth 10W-40https://amzn.to/4hVu23YThe above are Amazon affiliate links.. this means if you click to purchase, we make a commish at no additional cost to you. -thanks for your support **Want a deal on some boxo tools? Unbound has become the epicenter for not just the latest gravel bike tech but also some of the most interesting equipment choices of the year. Alvin Holbrook spent the week in Emporia, Kansas, tracking the race and also tracking down prototype bikes from Orbea, Pinarello, and Specialized. He also found Lachlan Morton's Cannondale Topstone with its water-carrying Tailfin rack and custom front bag, some unreleased rubber from Pirelli, and what most of us would consider a reverse tire set-up that ended up winning the race.

We've made it through MotoAmerica's Round 2 at Road Atlanta out in rural Georgia. This was an awesome time starting with a stop at Yamaha HQ in appreciation for all the great folks who work there. Then we headed to RoadATL for the weekend. This trip wasn't without its troubles, we had issues with the semi, mixed weather conditions, etc.. Pretty awesome weekend, and the team came home with a couple of podiums, Jake P2 on Saturday in the wet, while Bobby P2 on Sunday in the dry. It all happened in qualifying at Monaco - the more so because the new two-pit-stop rule for 2025 also nullified the drivers' ability to manage (or not) the Pirelli tyres. Thus it was a jubilant Lando Norris who won his first Monaco GP, ahead of Ferrari's Charles Leclerc, Lando's team-mate, Oscar Piastri and Red Bull-Honda's Max Verstappen. Sir Lewis Hamilton, who had incurred a three-place grid penalty for impeding, was a distant fifth for Ferrari, ahead of the excellent Racing Bulls-Honda of Isack Hadjar. Is Yuki Tsunoda doing enough to secure his place at Red Bull? Nobody seems to know.Climb the ladder with me on Patreon: https://patreon.com/lawvsYuki Tsunoda's season with Red Bull has been filled with mixed reviews, both from fans and within the paddock. From the costly Imola crash and its impact on the team's resources, to ongoing struggles with Pirelli tyres and the expectations that come with matching Max spec-for-spec, every detail adds to the mounting pressure on Tsunoda to perform. We also take a look at the behind-the-scenes dynamics, media narratives, and whether Red Bull really is giving Tsunoda a fair chance this season. With rumours swirling about future driver lineups and fresh competition from rising stars, Tsunoda's every qualifying session and race result is under the microscope. Does he have what it takes to silence the critics, secure his F1 future and help Red Bull stay ahead of McLaren and Ferrari? While some see Tsunoda as “meh,” others believe this could be his make or break year.Let's talk about Yuki Tsunodahttps://youtu.be/Tb5mMbRPWXY#f1 #yukitsunoda #formula1 #formulaone #f12025 #redbullracing #redbull #maxverstappen #tsunoda #honda #liamlawson #japanesegp #f1rumors #helmutmarko #f1news #f1latest #f1drama #f1updates #formula12025 #japanesegrandprix
Thanks to Disney, Max Verstappen can become THE Lion King. Yes, really. In this Monaco GP preview, we break down the surprise Formula 1 and Disney partnership that's set to transform the grid with Mickey & Friends, ushering in a new era of fan engagement and global reach. Discover how F1's latest marketing move is targeting a younger audience, shaking up merchandising and giving Disney a major platform just as US TV rights shift away from ESPN and perhaps into the clutches of Apple or Netflix OR even Amazon Prime. We also unpack the FIA's latest technical directives and what they really mean for Red Bull, McLaren and the rest of the field as the sport tries to keep the competition tight and the drama high. From fresh Ferrari suits for Charles Leclerc to the latest Pirelli tyre strategy shake-ups, every team is adapting to new challenges ahead of Monaco's famously tricky circuit. We reveal which drivers are poised to shine in Monte Carlo, why Max Verstappen's endurance racing ambitions matter for Red Bull and how social media controversies are affecting the paddock related to Jack Doohan and Franco Colapinto.
Ever wonder what happens when you take a tire from Pirelli, a brand best known for race tires, and throw it into some of the toughest terrain on the planet? Well, I got the chance to find out. I took the Pirelli Scorpion XTM AT for a spin in Death Valley, and this tire had to prove its performance in some of the harshest conditions out there.Real-World Testing in Death ValleyWe didn't stick to any easy, man-made trails (unless you count the road, I suppose). Nope. We put rubber to sand dunes, rocky roads, and everything in between. From Red Rock Canyon to Shoshone and the Badwater Basin – we took the Scorpion XTM AT tire through it all. The ground was tough, the heat was cranked up to 100°F, and the terrain was unforgiving. This was no vacation drive – this was real-world, all-terrain testing.Pirelli Scorpion XTM AT performance: The TreadWhen you first look at the Scorpion XTM AT, you're sure to notice its bold, aggressive tread pattern. It's a sign that this tire is built for traction and stability, especially when you're airing down to handle deep sand or rocky trails. I had the chance to test it out in a Ford Bronco Heritage Edition, a Jeep Wrangler, and a Rivian R1T. Each one performed impressively, but it was the sand where this tire really stood out. The traction felt solid, and I never felt like I was losing control, even in the deepest dunes.Real On-Road PerformanceThis tire was built for the wild outdoors, but I was still surprised by how well it handled on the pavement. It was quieter than I expected for an aggressive off-road tire. I was impressed with how it performed on the road, even after putting it through some of the roughest off-road conditions. The EV Version: Pirelli Scorpion XTM AT performancePirelli also developed a separate EV version featuring the company's "Elect" symbol. It's designed to reduce rolling resistance. That means better range for your EV, so you don't have to compromise off-road capability for efficiency. And both versions are built with chip-and-chunk resistance, so they'll last longer, no matter where you drive.Off-Road Guidance from Emily MillerWe didn't just test this tire on our own. We had some serious off-road expertise from Emily Miller, founder of the Rebelle Rally, helping us navigate the trails. Emily's been behind the wheel of some of the toughest vehicles out there, so I was thankful to have her in my ear for this one! Tire Review: www.tirereview.com Hunter Engineering: www.hunter.com

We've made it through MotoAmerica's Round 1 at Barber Motorsports Park out in Alabama. What an adventure for sure. The team had some pretty big success over the course of the weekend, and this show, I speak with the Attack Performance Progressive Yamaha Racing team owner Richard Stanboli to go over what happened, what they learned, along with the adventure of the weekend. Being that I was in the pits all weekend as well with the team, perhaps I could provide some of what I saw too -LOL.Get signed up for your next TrackDaz event:http://trackdaz.trackrabbit.comYamaha OEM Oil Filter:https://amzn.to/3CBwpJqFire-Power Full Synth 10W-40https://amzn.to/4hVu23YThe above are Amazon affiliate links.. this means if you click to purchase, we make a commish at no additional cost to you. -thanks for your support **Want a deal on some boxo tools?
Jill and Tom opened the show addressing the industry confusion brought on by the recent implementation of federal import tariffs. Tom ran down a list of known carmaker reactions to the regulations. Tom followed up the tariff talk with a brief review of the 2025 BMW M35i Grand Coupe, which he described as “delightful,” but noted several tech glitches which cut into the fun. Still in the second segment, Jill share her impressions of the all-new Pirelli Scorpion XTM off-road performance tires. In the second segment the hosts welcome Matt Smith of CarGurus.com, who shared some pointers for consumers trying to decided between buying a gas, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, or electric vehicle. This is an excellent primer for folks considering some level of electrification in their next vehicle. In the last segment Jill is subjected to a “best-selling cars by state” quiz. Tom followed the quiz with the results of an X poll he recently conducted regarding what folks listen to in the car.
You know how we sometimes promise we won't talk so much about tires? Well, we lie! You might have heard about Pirelli moving in and replacing Michelin as the official tire of MotoGP in 2027. And maybe you wonder how much influence a single change like this could possibly have. After all, they're just pieces of rubber - shouldn't we have basically perfected the art of the tire by now? Well, imagine it like this. Here you have a MotoGP bike, pure metal and technology that just wants to go fast. It's powerful. It's very, very powerful. And underneath it is the hard and unforgiving tarmac. The only thing inbetween the two, and the only thing that translates that raw movement into something workeable, is this little bit of rubber called the tire. And it really has a mind of its own, sometimes. So join us this week as Mat and Peter discuss the impact of this change. Not just on the technology, but also on the riders and their strategies. It's fun! It's educational! It's hot and sticky! It's all yours! Cheers!Want more? Visit our website or support us on Patreon. Jim and Rich start of this episode with some listener feed back. Seems The guys missed the fact that American Rossi Moor has signed to ride in the Junior GP Moto2 class this year (link below). Next Jim and Rich tackle the news starting off with Pirelli becoming the sole tire supplier for the entire MotoGP paddock in 2027. They discuss the Ogura disqualification and chat about the X rant that people are becoming bored with the sprint races. Lastly they cover all the action from Argentina. Piqueras opened his winning bank account with a somewhat controversial win in Moto3. What does the rule really say about touching the green paint on the last lap? Inquiring minds want to know. British pride was on full display in Moto2 as Jake Dixon took a commanding win and moved into second in the championship chase. Lastly MotoGp and what can you say about Marc's incredible start to the season. The result may have been the same as last race when Marc battled his brother for the win, but how we got there this time is completely different. The guys also wonder when Marc will actually loose a race.
