It rained all right - exactly at the time of the scheduled start of the Belgian GP. This being 2025 F1, however, we didn't get a wet race. Instead, the drivers sat around for 75 minutes or so before starting behind a Safety Car on a rapidly-drying track. The pole of McLaren's Lando Norris then disappeared in the time it took for his team-mate, Oscar Piastri, to tow past Lando on the main straight on the first racing lap with an 11kph speed advantage - and thereafter it was Oscar all the way, helped by a slow pit stop for Lando plus two time-consuming Lando errors on hard-compound Pirelli slicks. Charles Leclerc finished a valiant third in his low-downforce Ferrari; Max Verstappen's wet rear wing settings left him a sitting duck on the dry track and a frustrated P4; George Russell finished fifth for Mercedes; and Alex Albon drove beautifully for Williams-Mercedes to hold off Sir Lewis Hamilton's Ferrari for P6-P7. Peter in this podcast looks back at the three days in Spa - at the Sprint pole for Oscar; at the Sprint win for Max; and then the Qualifying pole of Lando. There's lots of detail, too, about the upgrades to the cars as we go into the first part of a double-header before the August break. Spa is calling, and we're breaking it all down in this Belgian Grand Prix Preview episode of the FORMULA America: F1 Podcast. We dive into the new Pirelli tire compound shake-up, which could open the door to bold pit strategies and a few surprises on race day. With mixed weather in the forecast, tire choice might just decide the podium. For the first time ever, Red Bull hits the grid without Christian Horner on the pit wall. How will that impact their race weekend—and is this a sign of deeper instability in the reigning champs' camp? Meanwhile, Lando Norris is red hot, chasing a potential third straight win after dominant performances in Austria and Silverstone. Can McLaren keep the streak alive? And don't sleep on Ferrari—new rear suspension upgrades could give them the grip they've been missing and launch them back into the fight at the front.
After this past weekend's Czech GP at BRNO, there's a ton to talk about. Fortunately we've got Eli Block joining Ricky-Bobby and Dustin this time to talk about all the "Key Feetchazzz" of the GP, and specifically the win of American Rider Joe Roberts in Moto2. this should be fun, and we hope you enjoy.Get signed up for your next TrackDaz event:http://trackdaz.trackrabbit.com**Want a deal on some boxo tools?

Wow, the Ridge was quite the adventure for sure. The Attack Yamaha team had some ups and downs for sure. They were drawn into the closing laps with different teams, in different cars, via different strategies. With 15 laps to run, though, it was never closer: only five seconds covered George Russell (Mercedes), Max Verstappen (Red Bull-Honda) and Kimi Antonelli in the other Mercedes. Then came the two McLaren-Mercedes of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris. Nothing seemed certain...until... Unbound has become the epicenter for not just the latest gravel bike tech but also some of the most interesting equipment choices of the year. Alvin Holbrook spent the week in Emporia, Kansas, tracking the race and also tracking down prototype bikes from Orbea, Pinarello, and Specialized. He also found Lachlan Morton's Cannondale Topstone with its water-carrying Tailfin rack and custom front bag, some unreleased rubber from Pirelli, and what most of us would consider a reverse tire set-up that ended up winning the race.
