In this week's episode of In Totality, I'm back with my girl Dinorah Peña for Part 2 of our conversation. We talk through the moments after the “yes”, when obedience is heavy, sanctification feels slow, and trusting God isn't as simple as it sounds. We share about the struggle of delighting in the Lord, turning away from pride, and depending on the Holy Spirit during times of anxiousness. This conversation is full of raw truth for anyone in a season of obedience without clarity. If you've ever asked, “Why is this walk still so hard?” Or felt alone in your becoming, we pray this reminds you:You're not behind. You're being refined. What does it truly mean to make disciples? In this powerful four-part conclusion to the Commands of Christ series, we explore the Great Commission as the crescendo of all that Jesus commanded. Rooted in Matthew 28:18–20, this series calls us to move from inward transformation to outward multiplication. As we have spent four years treasuring, meditating on, and living out Christ's commands, we now step into the command to teach others to observe all things He has taught us.Have we allowed the commands of Christ to shape our lives so deeply that we are compelled to pass them on to others? What legacy of discipleship are we leaving behind for the next generation? As we conclude this four-year journey through the commands of Christ, we are invited into the very heartbeat of discipleship: to go, to teach, and to pass on what we've received. The Great Commission is not the end—it's a beginning. Jesus calls us to treasure His commands, not only in our study and meditation, but in our obedience and our sharing (Matthew 28:18–20). We've discovered that these 51 commands are not mere rules but revelations of Christ's character, windows into His heart, and pathways into deeper relationship with Him. From abiding in Him to receiving His power, from denying self to awaiting His return, each command has formed a beautiful mosaic of what it means to follow Jesus. Now, with full hearts, we pass the baton—encouraging every listener to continue in the Word, to keep treasuring His commands, and to go make disciples. Let us walk forward with boldness, knowing that Christ goes with us, and let us live in such a way that others see Him clearly through our lives. This is not just a podcast series—it is the ongoing call of Christ. May we hear it and follow Him faithfully.Want to go deeper in studying this command of Christ? In this special year-end episode, Pastor Karl and the Flipside Church staff share their personal “Five Good Minutes” reflections on what God taught them throughout 2025. Tricia Cheshier speaks on trusting God and saying yes, overcoming fear to step into full-time children's ministry and watching her entire family grow bolder in faith. Michael Rondon reflects on a year of change, learning to be available and say yes upfront—discovering how one reluctant yes to coaching soccer became an answer to a former student's family's prayers. Alli Stemple shares about choosing joy amid uncertainty and witnessing God's providential will as closed doors led to unexpected open ones. Jeff Stemple unpacks the importance of understanding God's assignment, realizing that divine favor rests on the task God gives rather than on the person. Heather Botwright vulnerably recounts a difficult year of family health crises, yet celebrates God's faithful presence through His people and the strengthening of family bonds.Pastor Karl closes with his own lessons: returning to the bedrock of Scripture, leaning into God's sovereignty and providence, and remembering that Jesus builds His church. The common thread running through every story—saying yes to God, trusting His plan, choosing joy, and faithfully doing the job He assigns—leaves listeners challenged to reflect on 2025 and step boldly into 2026.A heartfelt, honest look at real faith lived out in real life.Watch all our sermons on our youtube channel "Flipside Christian Church"Join us in person 8:00am 9:30am & 11:00am every Sunday morning.37193 Ave 12 #3h, Madera, CA 93636For more visit us at flipside.churchFor more podcasts visit flipsidepodcasts.transistor.fm

As we have spent four years treasuring, meditating on, and living out Christ's commands, we now step into the command to teach others to observe all things He has taught us.Have we embraced Christ's call not only to follow Him, but to help others do the same? Are we treasuring His commands in such a way that our lives overflow with the desire and ability to make disciples? As we reflect on the journey through the commands of Christ, we now arrive at the climactic call to make disciples—a commission that encapsulates all we've learned and lived out. Rooted in Matthew 28:18–20, this command is not just about going, but about going with the authority of Christ, filled with His Spirit, and teaching others to observe—to treasure and guard—everything He has commanded. Discipleship is the natural fruit of our own walk with Jesus; we cannot lead others where we ourselves have not gone. As disciplined followers who abide in His Word, we are called to multiply that life in others, knowing we do not go alone—He is with us always. In a world often content with conversion, Christ calls us to spiritual maturity—to shape lives that are rooted, trained, and transformed. His commands, covering every area of life, are His heart expressed, and to teach them is to lead others into deeper fellowship with Him. Let us walk worthy of this calling, empowered by His presence, faithful in His Word, and committed to the mission: making disciples of all nations.Want to go deeper in studying this command of Christ? This command, rooted in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18–20), is not merely a call to evangelize, but a lifelong invitation to teach others to observe—to guard, treasure, and live out—all that Christ has commanded. Discipleship is not about producing spiritual converts alone, but nurturing disciplined followers of Jesus, shaped by His Word and empowered by His presence. We are reminded that the authority to go comes not from ourselves, but from the risen Christ who sends and stays with us. True discipleship begins in the quiet places of worship, overflows from a heart that treasures His Word, and is sustained by the power of His Spirit. The Fear of God stands as a foundational virtue in Christian ethics, appearing throughout Scripture as the beginning of wisdom and knowledge. Dave Rich examines this essential attribute in lesson 10 of his Christian ethics series, demonstrating how The Fear of God shapes believers' lives through faith, obedience, and trust. This biblical virtue appears in over 300 verses commanding believers to fear God while rejecting the fear of man or circumstances. The Fear of God leads to life, produces humility, and turns believers away from evil. Rich explores the profound connection between this virtue and anxiety, showing that worry reveals misplaced fear and denigrates God's providence. Therefore, believers must cultivate The Fear of God as the soul of wisdom, casting all anxiety on him who cares for them. This teaching illuminates how proper fear of God eliminates improper fear of everything else, grounding Christian living in eternal perspective rather than temporal concerns.Download Notes | Download Presentation ★ Support this podcast ★

As we have spent four years treasuring, meditating on, and living out Christ's commands, we now step into the command to teach others to observe all things He has taught us.What does it truly mean to make disciples, and how are we living out the commands of Christ in a way that impacts others? Are we treasuring His Word so deeply that it overflows into discipling others? As we come to the final command in this rich four-year journey through the words of Christ, we are brought to the heart of it all—making disciples. The Great Commission is not just a call to proclaim salvation, but an invitation to walk with others as they grow in their relationship with Jesus. We are reminded that discipleship is more than teaching facts; it is guiding others to observe—to treasure, guard, and live out—the commands of Christ (Matthew 28:18–20). We do this not in our own strength but under His authority and in the power of His presence, promised to be with us always. True discipleship begins in the quiet place of worship, flows from hearts that are first surrendered, and continues as we share with others what we ourselves have received. Like disciplined athletes pressing toward a heavenly prize (1 Cor. 9:25), we are called to pursue Christ, to be shaped by His Word, and to multiply that life in others. Making disciples isn't a burden but a joy, an overflow of love for Jesus and for His people. Let us go with confidence—not in ourselves, but in the One who calls and empowers, who is always with us, even to the end of the age. Want to go deeper in studying this command of Christ? Today we're trashing feminism some more, because it obviously deserves it. Feminism is not only unbiblical, it's extremely destructive for all of society. We'll talk about why Christian podcasters like Allie Beth Stuckey shouldn't defend their feminism while claiming to follow Christ, and why Christianity itself is a patriarchy, by God's design. It's time for biblical men to stop waiting for permission from feminists and take back the authority God gave them. We'll also discuss more of the Trump administration's mistakes, including this ridiculous new 50-year mortgage idea that proves how far from wisdom our leaders have fallen.
