This week Brett and Austin jump into some games from Xbox Game Pass. We play the Ninja Theory game Bleeding Edge that came out earlier this year. It's a surprisingly fun fighting game that feels awfully similar to Overwatch that didn't make the name for itself that it should have. It's full of great characters, lots of fun and a great soundtrack. We also jump into the 4 player co-op game State of Decay 2 that came out in 2018. We were hopeful for the idea and some of us like it and others don't.The big news story this week is Epic Games released its own payment system within its Fortnite game and Apple pulled the app due to it violating their policies. Google did the same. Fortnite was prepared for this and released an ad parody of the Steve Jobs 1984 ad and followed up with a lawsuit against Apple and later Google. We'll see what happens next. We also discuss the cool Call of Duty ARG reveal for the new Black Ops as well as the Night City Wire #2 featuring life paths and gun customization or Cyberpunk 2077.In our discussion, we go through the delay of Halo Infinite making it no longer a launch title for Xbox Series X. We're unsure the reason behind the delay but it's pushed to sometime in 2021. We talk about what this means for the Xbox next-gen launch and the future of Xbox as a whole as they prepare to navigate this new future for the platform.Special thanks to Crazzie Pro Gear. This time we are back to discuss the trader legacy guide. This is our 3rd in the legacy guide series with the Warlord guide coming sometime in the new year. Derreck first discusses a lot of news about what is to come for the State of Decay community as well as the podcast in 2019. This goes a bit longer than usual since it is the last episode of the year and serves as a small amount of wrap-up for the year. However, this time is a special episode recapping the biggest community event we have had yet...Undead Trials 2! Derreck and Falldown go over all 7 game types featured in Undead Trials and talk about what worked and didn't work for some of them. In the midst of talking about them they also talk about some of the experiences they had throughout the tournament in these games and how they used strategy to advance further in the tournament, what might have went wrong in some of their failures, or even just how close some of these games actually were. We of course give shout outs to all the amazing refs and people who helped with the event along the way. And we also talk about how some of the referees got very innovative and created new versions of some of the games. Then we of course get into how the championship match worked before we end the show. In today's episode, Derreck gets into the massive Patch 5.0 Update that happened to the game. There was new content released called Zedhunter which we will go over more in detail next week, and alongside this content there was a giant patch with lots of fixes. I have broken this up into 2 episodes and there is a reason for this as explained in the episode. Derreck talks all about the updates in Patch 5.0. There are some really key updates in here that change the game. Some of these changes make the game slightly harder by forcing you to do more work and some of the changes make things easier or more intuitive for players. In the news, a dad and his son get in a fight over Pokemon GO with someone, Gamestop is considering a buyout, PUBG brings in their new map and From Software is super busy with new games. In our discussion, we talk about achievement hunting. We explore the history briefly with how it got started on Xbox, what type of achievements exist and what some of the hardest achievements are for games.
