NEW! "The 40's Stretch" - A new season from Stretch Marks PodcastWe are stretching - this time into our 40's.So let's drop our shoulders and take a breath – and welcome Suzanne Kane back to the pod. Suzanne is a broadcaster on 98fm, a mother of 3 and 6 months ago she opened up here on Stretch Marks podcast about her perimenopause era. The response was a collective sigh of relief and gratitude from the thousands of women that had the same symptoms and had no idea what was going on for them. Suzanne inspired so many women in their 40's to book those appointments and to stop waiting for the stereotypical symptoms of hot flushes to appear. Anxiety was a big enough sign. 6 months on and a rollercoaster of HRT, she's back to fill us all in. Listen to part 1 hereSupported by Key For Her - Their two-step supplement includes two unique blends to support your daily wellness and help naturally alleviate the symptoms associated with menstruation, perimenopause and menopause.Use the discount code STRETCH for 20% off your first order across all products on keyforher.com "The 40's Stretch" is a Stretch Marks Production,Hosted by Sinéad O'Moore, produced by The Brand Story and sound edited by Alan Breslin.Contact: stretchmarkspod@gmail.comhttps://www.instagram.com/stretchmarkspodcast/ Hosted on Acast. Ok this one is either incredibly relevant to where you are at now - or trust me, it will be sooner than you realise. Suzanne Kane is a 98Fm presenter, a very busy mam of 3 kids and a great friend of mine. For Suzanne her postpartum at 40 just blurred right in with perimenopause and now she's here to say the things that we do not hear enough about and won't have a clue about when it's our turn. And it will be every women's turn. We need to know more about the mental, emotional and physical symptoms of our early perimenopause because too many women lose too many years to feeling so low and anxious long before a period is missed. You can connect with and Suzanne and her work at @suzanne.fm on instagram And we deserve better. We deserve to live with joy. Choose your joy! And book a date with your GP or with one of the specialist clinics supporting women through these hormonal years. Thank you to my NEW sponsor Dove Advanced Care Body Wash for bringing their support and for creating a body wash with 24 hour moisture straight from the shower. #adHosted by Sinead O'Moore - hit to follow me on insta.Get in touch at @stretchmarkspodcast I'd love to hear from you. Joining us this week is one of the most popular and requested guests we've ever had on the podcast, PJ Gallagher. A national treasure and a man responsible for bringing laughter to millions of people, we're always delighted to catch up the man himself. We talk about dogs, Sex and the City, what makes a dickhead, and we take an unexpected and deep turn when talking about PJ's childhood. Don't forget you hear PJ on Radio Nova, weekdays from 6-10am and you can subscribe to the hilarious Dubland Podcast which he hosts along side the amazing Suzanne Kane.
Joe Macrae is back on the show with us from Macrae, and we have another voice with us as well, Suzanne Kane. We've got a great topic in front of us as well, in terms of the talent that law firms want in 2021.We'll also get into the conversations firms are having in terms of recruiting through the lens of diversity, inclusion, belonging, equity and equality. Plus, how law firms and people in the legal industry have changed their approach to work due to Covid-19, and what they think is going to stick with us post-COVID as well.Bonus: Joe tells us about how he held a Zoom meeting while sitting in a princess tent.
My guests on this episode do NOT hold back, and rightly so. Let's face it, there's a lot to get off our chests these days and what better way to help the nation vent than to get Joanne Riordan, podcaster and star of No Limbs No Limits, and broadcaster Suzanne Kane around a virtual table to sound off about some of the things we're all talking about these days – like the Dail circus, movie awards on zoom, iPhone Memory videos from a time we could eat, drink and be merry, Claire Byrne Live's crazy reconstructions, and so, so much more.Ive also got a whole new type of sketch for you, perhaps very different to what you're used to. I had a lot of fun making it and I hope you have fun listening to it. After you've listened to the panel, feel free to get in touch with an email, tweet, facebook, message, even a voicenote would be brilliant! In December 2019 Suzanne heard those words she never expected to hear “there is no heartbeat”. Bruised with sadness she did what many of us do and put on a brave face, suppressed all that emotion, pretended it didnt happen and didn't dare dream for another chance. But in the midst of all that went wrong in 2020, something went very very right and as Suzanne explains, Sadie, the measure of her dreams was born. Here, in Suzanne's very warm honest and witty way we talk about how she felt through her grief, and her joy, her pandemic pregnancy & birth and the love upon meeting her gorgeous girl at the end of her rainbow. Welcome to episode seven where Sara chats to broadcaster and presenter Suzanne Kane. Suzanne has recently celebrated her seventh wedding anniversary and welcomed a gorgeous baby girl Sadie to her family in December. Suzanne looks back on her wedding day when she married Joey Donnelly. The path to true love was exactly instant according to Suzanne but she said it wasn't too long before she fell head over heels. The wedding day she admits included many stresses including the priest actually forgetting to marry them! Suzanne recalls this and the many other mishaps of the day but as she advises - it really doesn't matter, you are there to marry the person you love and that was all she was focused on! (Wobbly cake, cancelled hairdressers and broken nail stories included!)

American indie pop band Foster the People released Pumped Up Kicks as the group's debut single. Despite it's upbeat melody, the lyrics describe the homicidal thoughts of a troubled youth. The lines in the chorus warn potential victims to "outrun my gun" and that they "better run, better run, faster than my bullet." Today FM's Suzanne Kane joined Mario for Mario's Sunday Roast, to delve into The Story Behind The Song. [audio mp3="https://media.radiocms.net/uploads/2020/08/05174254/MSR-TSBTS.mp3"][/audio]

After a short review of the previous episode, Suzanne and PJ move on to discuss PJ's total lack of social life. This leads to his interaction with his good-looking neighbour. Which of course leads to talk of him moving house, and more mortgage chat, and then a mid-episode plea to a financial expert (a future episode). Everyone in Ireland knows someone who knows someone else who lives in Ireland. This isn't the case in the UK or other big countries. Suzanne raises her fears of the countryside again (it's dark)... there's some stuff about same sex marriage in Ireland, including a Hero of the Week. There's an upcoming General Election in Ireland, of course this sets the Dublanders off. There's a new Suzanne Kane, she doesn't give a toss, and PJ is a big fan! Oh there's also talk of a "hot" candle.
On this week's episode Niamh Maher and Denise Curtin are finding out how they can be more breast aware for Breast Cancer Awareness month. They also head out to talk to the Weekend AM team, Paul Ryder and Suzanne Kane, who are raising much needed funds for breast cancer research

Today, you’ll meet Suzanne Kane, whose voice you might know from the very popular Dubland podcast, and her years as a DJ on a well-known Irish radio station. You might also have seen her on TV3, where she’s a regular contributor at the weekend. Now 37, Suzanne has lived all her life in Dublin and lives here still with her husband and two young kids. She explains why Dublin has SUCH a special place in her heart and I must say, she picks one of the best “favourite Dublin words” we’ve had so far. I knew Suzanne would be a great guest for HODCast because she’s written openly about so many important events in her life on her blog. We talk about her experiences of her father’s sudden death, about finding love, becoming a parent, and some of the hard stuff that life throws at you. I also ask her why she has chosen to be so honest and vulnerable – while so many others remain stuck on the surface, presenting their perfect “Instagram life.” There are some topics we cover in this chat that might be upsetting for you, so it comes with my occasional warning to be careful where you listen to it in case you shed a tear. Don’t worry though, I think you’ll also laugh out loud to balance it out. After such a gap since my last episode, I was a bit rusty, and regular listeners will notice that I forgot to ask my 2 standard closing questions, but Suzanne gave so many great answers, I think you’ll be able to forgive me :-) Stick around to the end for a great clip from the Dubland podcast that I mention during the episode. __________________________________________ HODCast is a regular podcast where Derek chats with people from Dublin (or living there!) about Dublin, about themselves and, ultimately, about what it means to be human. www.HODCast.com www.facebook.com/HODCast www.twitter.com/HOD_Cast
