A number of guests of the Catch and Shoot podcast have had close ties with NBA legend Allen Iverson. His coach Larry Brown, former teammate Todd MacCulloch and radio voice Tom McGinnis all share their stories of "The Answer."
Todd MacCulloch is one of the most entertaining basketball personalities anywhere. He started at center in two straight NBA Finals, battling Shaquille O'Neal both times. His career was cut short by injuries and he is now a professional pinball player. His stories about Allen Iverson, Shaq, and comedian Dave Chappelle are insightful and funny. His story about how he ended up in one of Chappelle's skits is classic. Todd also describes what it was like guarding Yao Ming and accidentally catching a bald eagle ... while fishing! Todd is guaranteed to make you smile and his story telling skills are outstanding.
The term "Keepin' it Real" is overused and frequently inaccurate. Not so in this shortened version of Catch and Shoot with Adam Stanco, Noah Coslov, and Todd MacCulloch. Todd's brief but memorable NBA career was cut short by a painful nerve condition in his feet at a the age of 27. But his spirit, sense of humor, and incredible self awareness have gotten him through some difficult times. His story is interesting, memorable, inspiring, and at times hilarious. And did we mention he is also a professional pinball player?
Todd MacCulloch had a brief but eventful four year NBA career, playing in the NBA Finals in 2001 and 2002. After having his career cut short by a nerve disorder that caused extreme pain to his feet, he worked as a broadcaster and then became a professional pinball player. In this visit with Noah Coslov and Adam Stanco, Todd shares great stories about Allen Iverson, Shaquille O'Neal, Jason Kidd, Steve Nash, and how he reacted when the Nets signed him to a $34 million dollar contract. Todd's stories are frequently "laugh out loud" funny and he is one of the most self aware individuals you'll ever hear.
Todd MacCulloch joins Chuck and Buck to discuss the news of Kawhi Leonard going home to the Los Angeles Clippers.
Slickhawk and Bucky are joined by Todd Macculloch to discuss would you rather have a Super Bowl or the NFL Draft in Seattle.
Former UW Husky and NBA player Todd MacCulloch discusses his Final Four, National Champion, and predicts how far the Huskies will go in the tournament.
