Chuck Powell and Bucky Jacobsen are on the air weekdays from 6 a.m. until 10 a.m. talking all things Seattle Sports

Tuesday's show was full of Mariners talk, draftmas and more with guests Rob Rang and Everett Fitzhugh!

The Mariners swept the Astros and it seems to have calmed some of the panic we were seeing from some M's fans. Next up it's the Padres and Mason Miller… luckily we have a game plan for that guy. Bryce Miller is headed for his rehab assignment, but we have no long how long that will last and then what happens with this pitching staff? :30- Miracle on 34th Pick- what miraculous scenarios could come to life if the Seahawks trade down to the 34th pick? :45- We close out the show with one last thing!

It's time for Draftmas Stocking Stuffers! - Some of the draft strategies are starting to be revealed by teams; according to Albert Breer picks 3-7 are all unhappy with where they're at. - Now everyone is jumping on the Mike Washington Jr train… - Could Denzel Boston fall to 32 and if so, does it make sense for the Seahawks to get him? - So many draft rumors, so little time! :30- EVERETT FITZHUGH (Kraken Audio Network PxP) With only two games left in the season, is it more important for the Kraken to go out on a high note or improve their draft positioning? What does Everett think about Tod Leiweke's comments last week? If it weren't for all the losing after the NHL trade deadline, that Bobby McMann move would have been the best ever? :45- Has golf become too predictable? Rory took home his 2nd Green Jacket and 4 of the last 5 Majors have been won by McIlroy or Scheffler. Do we need more variety?

ROB RANG (Fox Sports/LockedOn Seahawks) This draft is being underhyped, but Rob thinks it's perfect for the Seahawks needs. Will the Hawks address all three areas of need in this draft? There are some interesting RB options… Who makes the most sense if the Seahawks do hang on to the 32nd pick? Where does Rob see Denzel Boston going on Thursday? What teams and players intrigue Rob the most in this draft? :30- ABC's of the Mariners - D is for Dawdling or Delaying: What's going on with Bryce Miller? - E is for Emerson: Yeah, the Mariners are right to wait on bringing Colt Emerson up. - F is for Friars: bring on the Vedder Cup! :45- The NBA has some problems, including the fact that they don't want to actually address their problems.

The Mariners sweep the Astros and just like that, the team is one game below .500. Yes, we realize that Houston is struggling, but the M's needed this to get back on track and even the big 3 have started to warm up a bit. :30- The Mariners got their 4th win in a row and handed Houston their 8th loss in a row and yesterday it was all about George Kirby and Josh Naylor who both had fantastic games. Naylor got his first extra-base hit and it was a big one; a three-run homer. He followed that up with a two-run homer and a sigh of relief. :45- The WNBA loves Draftmas so much that they held their draft last night and it sure seems like the Storm won the night.

RYON HEALY (Mariners TV) Ryon is making his Mariners TV debut this Friday! Is this team officially out of their rut and what changed? When does the panic start to set in for a veteran player? Does Ryon believe that the WBC could have had anything to do with the slow starts? Is ABS affecting the at-bats possibly? :30- Draftmas Stocking Stuffers - Rueben Bain Jr was involved in a fatal car accident in 2024 and it's come up during this draft process. He seems to be handling it well and all organizations seem satisfied with how he has answered their questions. - Daniel Jeremiah is floating out a trade idea and Jets fans are rattled. - More rumblings about Jeremiyah Love going 3rd in the draft - Will Ty Simpson last into the 2nd round? Matt Miller sure thinks so! :45- We close out the show with one last thing!

:45- ABC's of the Mariners - A is for Arozarena: Arozarena deserves some credit for his play over the weekend. - B is for Broken Bat: The Ichiro statue was unveiled on Friday and the bat broke when the cover was pulled off, because… of course it did. - C is for Close Calls: Brendan Donovan has to get his throws to first right. He is putting Naylor in jeopardy and we can't have that. 8AM- Time to pull out the Draftmas Catalog! :30- The WNBA Draft is tonight, and there's a story out there that no one's talking about. Azzi Fudd could be the #1 overall pick to the Dallas Wings, the team her girlfriend Paige Bueckers plays for. Could having two people in a relationship on the same team be an issue or does this happen more than we know without a problem? :45- Masters Sunday was a treat!

RHETT LEWIS (NFL Network) It's mock draft time and we chat with Rhett about his mock draft. Is there any chance Mendoza doesn't go to the Raiders? How high will Jeremiyah Love go? Who does he have the Seahawks picking at 32? :30- No, we still aren't panicking about the Mariners, but if you want to, that's fine! :45- We close out the show with one last thing!

MARK MCLEMORE (former Mariner/Rangers broadcast team) What's happening in the Clubhouse when the team has high expectations and you get off to a slow start? With Ichiro being honored this weekend, we ask Mark about playing with the legend and what that was like. What was it about that 2001 team that made them so damn good? When Mark and his teammates get together and talk about today's game, what are they talking about? The approach? The money? :30- It's time to check out Santa's back sack and today we are talking running backs. We revisit Rob Rang's thoughts on Jadarian Price and Hugh Millen's thoughts on Mike Washington, two RB draft possibilities for the Seahawks. :45- Yesterday the Kraken announced that Ron Francis will step down as the President of Hockey Operations at the end of the season. The timing was a little odd, but the move makes sense as the Kraken season was disappointing for everyone.

Headlines and Draftmas Catalog Today, we're taking a look at some of the wide receivers available in the draft. Will any of them draw the Seahawks' eye? :30- ABCs of the Mariners Chuck is using the ABC's to propose a trade… X is for Expectations: The Mariners have expectations to go to the World Series this year and they aren't letting a 4-9 start get in the way of that. The Chicago Cubs also have eyes on the World Series prize, but they have a lot of injuries to their starting rotation and that could make them excellent trade partners. Soooo, Chuck is trading Luis Castillo and Victor Robles for Ian Happ and Javier Assad or Ben Brown. You keep your pitching depth and improve your defense in left field. Y is for Year: Happ only has a year on his contract, but that could work in your benefit. Z is for Zen Garden: no increased payroll (actually decreases), frees up Hancock and adds depth to bullpen, potential starting depth if needed as well. You've improved your defense and eliminated a platoon, plus you free up money for next year when Anderson and Sloane might come up. :45- Draftmas Stocking Stuffers - There's rumors that there will be a lot of trade activity in this draft. It is a down year, so wouldn't that heighten the opportunity to package some picks up and trade for that one special player? - The Seahawks are being linked to Chris Johnson, a CB out of SDSU.

The Mariners skid continues as they get swept by the Rangers. It's an ugly start to the 2026 season and not at all what we expected, but we aren't panicking. Now, if you think that Cal, Julio and Naylor went from all-star to dud over the offseason, then you can certainly panic, but we don't think that happened. :30- Mariners Morning After The Mariners have now lost 5 straight and the lack of offense and sloppy defense were the issue yet again. Bryan Woo pitched well, but the team couldn't help him out of a jam and the offense couldn't step up to overcome the deficit. :45- Mike MacDonald joined Softy and Hugh yesterday, so we revisit some of the conversation with the Seahawks head coach.

It's Masters Eve and time to green jacket draft our Masters picks as we preview the tradition unlike any other. :30- AL KINISKY (KAN color analyst) Maybe we could talk BBQ instead? It has been a rough stretch for the Kraken as the team is on the brink of playoff elimination. What happened since the Olympic break and how disappointing is this? The team needed to play their best and instead they're playing their worst. Does Al think Lane Lambert will stay and should he stay? :45- We wrap up the show with one last thing!

BRADY KANNON (Golf.com, CBS Sports, SportsLine, SportsGrid) What are some key indicators to help us narrow down the Masters field? JJ Spaun and Cameron Young have been making headlines- how confident is Brady feeling in these two at Augusta? What's the latest on Collin Morikawa? Should we be worried about his health? Who wins and how does Brady see this thing going? :30- Draftmas Stocking Stuffers.. rumors from the NFL draft - Jadarian Price is being heavily mocked to the Seahawks. - Maybe the Jets aren't as into Arvell Reese as it seemed and they may want David Bailey… or maybe they're messing with the Cowboys. - As for Jerry Jones, he says Dallas is absolutely looking to move up in the draft. - Fernando Mendoza will not be attending the NFL Draft and no, it's not a sign that the draft isn't what it used to be. :45- Sup? It's time for our listeners to ask whatever they want and we answer… most of them!

Headlines and 12th Man News with GREGG BELL (Tacoma News Tribune) Where do the Seahawks feel more need- cornerback, safety or a combo of the two? What's the plan to fix the hole at running back and are the Seahawks worried about it at all? A look at John Schneider's history of trading draft picks, including the one that ruined the O-Line for years. :30- ABC's of the Mariners - U is for Unbelievable: You really know things aren't going your way when Luke Raley misses 1st base and has to go back on what should have been a double. - V is for Vexed: Can George Kirby figure out how to let things go when they don't go his way? - W is for Wisdom: Patrick Wisdom is a vet down in Tacoma and apparently he's hitting a home run every night, but calling up isn't going to fix the Mariners. :45- It's time to get Reckless at Breakfast! A lot of people were upset that the Mariners signed Colt Emerson to an 8-year $95 million deal last week when he hasn't had an MLB at-bat. Yesterday the Pittsburgh Pirates one-upped the M's and signed their phenom, Connor Griffin to a 9-year $140 million deal, further proving that the Mariners did the right thing with Emerson and signed him before they had to try and beat other similar contracts.

We start off the show with the Draftmas catalog because we are busy today! Let's take a look at the linebackers available in the draft- there are some very intriguing options if the chips fall correctly. :30- Mariners Morning After Another game, another loss as the Mariners fall to the Rangers 3-2 for their 4th loss in a row. The offense got some hit, but couldn't turn them into runs and George Kirby threw an excellent game aside from 2 mistakes. That combo led to the loss and it seems when things aren't going right, they really aren't going right. :45- A former KJR employee (adjacent) made headlines with a current NFL head coach!

We grabbed the best moments of Tuesday's show, including our guests Rob Rang, Jedd Fisch and Everett Fitzhugh.

Michigan wins the Natty and the turnaround happened quick for their program. That's the new age of college sports; so how far away is UW basketball? It's not just the Huskies who keep struggling, the Kraken are too as it looks like they will miss the Stanley Cup playoffs once again…although they aren't mathematically out of it. :30- ABC's of the Mariners - R is for Rivas: a utility guy filling in for an injured player can't make the little mistakes that Rivas keeps making and he needs to have his challenge rights revoked. - S is for South Paws: the pressure is on M's right-handed hitters to prove they can come through against lefties. - T is for Trout: the Angels are angry about how the M's were pitching to Mike Trout over the weekend. :45- We wrap up the show with one last thing!

Husky head football coach, JEDD FISCH joins the show to talk spring ball and Dawgs in the NFL draft. - What's the latest with Jordan Washington's health and how does the running back room look right now? - Can we expect Jordan Washington to be “the guy” in Washington's backfield this year and if not, who might jump in? - Would Coach Fisch like to see spring ball moved or removed all together? Are we close to a decision on this? - How is Demond doing and what does Coach think he learned from the whole LSU ordeal? - It's time to turn Coach into a draft analyst and we get his thoughts on the Husky draft prospects Denzel Boston, Jonah Coleman Tacario Davis & Ephesians Prysock. :30- EVERETT FITZHUGH (Kraken Audio Network PxP) Is Everett surprised by how poor this team is playing and how this season is coming to an end? This team has to be better at doing things that don't require talent… What is it going to take for the Kraken to get back to the playoffs in the years ahead and how difficult is it to find a Connor McDavid-type? :45- Miracle at 34th Pick! We go over a scenario in which the Seahawks move down the 34th pick and the possibilities are endless. Do you believe?

Headlines and our first official visit from Jolly Ol St Pickolas, ROB RANG (Fox Sports, LockedOn Seahawks) - Where's the buzz on this draft? - What does Rob see the Seahawks doing with the 32nd pick? - Should we be worried with he Seahawks lack of draft picks this year? - Does he have any questions or concerns about Fernando Mendoza? - Who is Rob most excited to talk about? :30- The Mariners are off to a slow start again and it's frustrating to be talking about this year in and year out, but we think they will pull out of this and get right. :45- UNC stole some of the shine from the National Championship by announcing they hired Michael Malone as their new head basketball coach. This hiring further proves that with the state of college sports, “the elites” aren't the same jobs they used to be.

A hat tip to the National Champion Michigan Wolverines! (and a thank you for beating Dan Hurley) UConn made it a close game and neither team played particularly well, but the better team won in the end and 2026 is the year of the Big Ten. :30- Mariners Morning After Another game, another disappointing offensive performance from the Mariners. We didn't expect things to be easy against Jacob deGrom, but with Cal's 1st home run of the season coming early in the game, we had some hope the bats would be going. Unfortunately, that and one other hit were all the offense the Mariners could muster. :45- It's time for Draftmas Stocking Stuffers! - We have a big fat trade rumor! The Cardinals may be looking to trade out of the #3 spot. - Carnell Tate rumors are swirling- is his draft stock actually rising? - Peter Shrager is mocking Price to the Seahawks at 32.

The Mariners are off to a 4-6 start and we can absolutely be critical, but we can't hit the panic button right now! :30- Draftmas Stocking Stuffers - There's a lot of rumors out there that the Jets have made up their minds about the 2nd pick. - The Miami Dolphins have 11 draft picks this year and they look like they want to get rid of a lot of them in 2026 and move into the 2027 draft. - The Maxx Crosby trade rumors are not dead yet. - The Cardinals and Jets- who really likes Ty Simpson? :45- We close out the show with one last thing!

HUGH MILLEN (aka Hughkon Cornelius) is making his Draftmas debut this morning and he's here to help us take a look at the running back possibilities for the Seahawks in the NFL Draft. - We start with Jadarian Price, the Notre Dame running back who a lot of people have on the Seahawks short list. - Could Washington's Jonah Coleman be the answer for the Seahawks? - A lot of people have Arkansas' Mike Washington mocked to the Seahawks; how would he fit? :30- Hugh is back to give his thoughts on the hole that losing Ken Walker has created for the Seahawks. How big of a deal is it? :45- It's Masters Week and there may never be a better time of year in Ashley's house!

It's time to haul out the Draftmas catalog and take a look at some O-line options for the Seahawks in the draft. Would we prefer a guard or center? We look at both. :30- ABCs of the Mariners - O is for Out-of-Context: JP was taken out of context on Friday. No, he isn't mad at Colt Emerson. - P is for Pen: Because of the extra innings and Castillo's poor outing yesterday, we're going to need Logan to deliver tonight. - Q is for Quit: Leo Rivas did not have a great game yesterday and he needs to be better. :45- We have to take a minute to talk about the performance from Jo Adell on Saturday.

The Easter weekend delivered some great weather… the sports… not so much. We were expecting a top-3 matchup between Arizona and Michigan and it was nothing close. Meanwhile Illinois and UConn played a closer game, but boy was it sloppy. On the Women's side, Friday's semifinal matchup was also expected to one for the ages and South Carolina's collapse in the finals against UCLA should show Michigan exactly what they can't do in the men's finals tonight. :30- Mariners Morning After Yes, it was a frustrating weekend for the Mariners in Anaheim as they lost the series with the Angels. When things are off with a team nothing works right- either your pitching steps up and the bats are cold or the bats heat up and the pitching can't hold anyone. Tonight the team heads to Texas and it might be tough for the big three to get going as they face Jacob deGrom. :45- We are embarking upon week 2 of Draftmas!

We wrap up the first week of Draftmas! It's our best of Friday show!

QUINCY PONDEXTER (UW Basketball) Quincy joins the show to give us his thoughts on UW basketball and the Final Four. How far away from a tourney run are the Dawgs? How difficult is it to be watching the Final Four and not being one of the teams in it? What makes these four teams so special? Does he think a Big Ten team will be cutting down the nets? :30- Draftmas Stocking Stuffers- a look at NFL draft rumors - We start with Ty Simpson and the Orlovsky effect, which has now made Simpson polarizing and has him dropping in the draft. - Cleveland is trying to move down in the draft, or at least that's the rumor, but that's what this is all about. - There are a lot of teams in the wide receiver draft discussion. :45- We close out the week and the show with Booze News. Get the Nog!

We cover the top 8 sports stories of the day in the OCHO! 1. Draftmas is here! 2. Seahawks have a long wait on Day 1 of the draft 3. Kraken loss makes playoffs look bleak 4. Final Four is tomorrow! 5. Mariners in Anaheim 6. Colt Emerson's new deal- when will he be called up? 7. Sounders at Dynamo 8. KJR sports weekend :30- Yesterday we caught up with Angie Mentink and talked to her about the struggles of the Big 3; is the WBC to blame at least a little bit? :45- We are wrapping up week 1 of Draftmas and the spirit of the season is flowing!

Headlines and our Draftmas Houseguest has arrived! IAN FURNESS joins the show to share his Draftmas wishes with us. First off, we have to address last night's Kraken loss- what the heck happened and is it over? Obviously Ken Walker leaving left a hole in this Seahawks roster, so where does Ian see the Hawks looking for a running back in the draft? How would Ian draft from a priority standpoint if the Seahawks keep their first three picks? Does Ian have a running back in mind for the Hawks? We've seen two championship teams- one built by Pete and John and one by John and Mike; were Pete and John ever as locked in as Mike and John seem to be? :30- ABCs of the Mariners - L is for Lefties: yes, we're facing another one tonight - M is for Munoz: can we see him in various situations, not just when it's a save? - N is for Naylor: Josh is off to a 1-27 start, but we guarantee he's not worried about it and we shouldn't be either. :45- The Final Four is tomorrow night and these two matchups are very exciting, but can we all agree that we are rooting against Dan Hurley?

We start with the Draftmas Catalog right out of the gate! Why? Because it's the only place we could fit it. We take a look at Edge Rushers today and while we are focusing on options for the Seahawks, we can't ignore some of the best players in the draft. :30- JP Crawford has re-joined the Mariners after dealing with a shoulder injury and while we are excited to have him back, we do have some reservations given what we saw last year. Can he get back to his form from two years ago? :45- Are the Kraken's playoff hopes dead? Last night's 6-2 loss to Utah sure seemed to deflate the playoff balloon. Do the Kraken have it in them to pull off a miracle run?

ANGIE MENTINK (Mariners TV) It's our first visit of the season with Angie! What does she think of newly added Brendan Donovan? We have to address the elephant in the room- what's going on with the big 3? How about that Sunday performance from Emerson Hancock? What is Angie's outlook for the season and is a 3-4 start deterring her? How does NFL Match work? No, seriously? :30- Draftmas Stocking Stuffers- NFL draft news and rumors - How high will Jeremiyah Love go in the draft and he could he land in the NFC West? - The Detroit Lions may be looking to protect Goff - Will the Eagles be drafting a wide receiver? :45- We close out the show with one last thing!

Colt Emerson watch is on as we wait to see when the top prospect will get the call up. We don't want to rush him, but we expect him up fairly soon as it appears there's just one more box to tick. :30- We always introduce a new element to Draftmas and this year, it's Santa's Backsack! Santa's sack is filled with backs… of the running and corner variety. :45- The Final Four is Saturday and these two matchups provide a lot of excitement.

Headlines and ERIC EDHOLM (NFL.com) Eric is ready for the Draftmas season and joins us to talk mock drafts and more. What does he make of the news that Kirk Cousins has signed with the Raiders? Does he have any real reason to believe that the Raiders won't take Fernando Mendoza with the first pick? He's got the Seahawks trading down and not using the 32nd pick and we tend to agree. What about Ty Simpson, could the 32nd pick be a perfect spot for him and work out well for the Seahawks to trade out? :30- Sup? We answer questions from the listeners! :45- ABC's - J is for Judgement: maybe we shouldn't be so quick to rush to judgement on the offense just yet. Let's look at the competition… - K is for Kirby: they're going to have to let George challenge some pitches.

The Draftmas season is a special time of year and Mike MacDonald and John Schneider are a special kind of duo. While the Seahawks draft picks might not be that exciting, we can't wait to see what these two do with them. :30- Mariners Morning After Well, it feels weird to say this, but the Mariners need a day off and they get one today. After 7 games, the Mariners are 3-4 after yesterday's 5-3 loss to the Yankees. And yes, the big three are still struggling, although Cal did have a hit and 2 RBI yesterday. :45- Demond Williams has a new look this spring as the UW QB has switched his number from 2 to 1.

Get out your Draftmas Catalogs as we take a look at the quarterbacks available in this year's NFL draft. We know the Seahawks don't need a QB this year, but we still need to take a look at the shiny toys and maybe there's a fit somewhere in there. :30- AL KINISKY (KAN Color Analyst) The Kraken ended the roadtrip on a tough note with a shutout loss in Edmonton, are they starting to stress about the push to the playoffs? How do we get a Connor McDavid and would Kraken fans want to go through the dark years to get there? How devastating would it be to this organization to miss the playoffs this year? Is the schedule favorable for the Kraken to go on a run to close out the regular season? Up next, it's the Mammoth- how good of a hockey team are we facing? :45- We close out the first day of Draftmas with one last thing!

Draftmas Stocking Stuffers- news and rumors surrounding the NFL Draft. - Dan Orlovsky is getting a lot of (warranted) heat after claiming that Ty Simpson is better than Fernando Mendoza and not being able to back it up with actual facts. - Makai Lemon made an ass out of himself at the NFL combine and when given the chance to explain himself, he didn't make it any better. :30- The Mariners signed superstar-prospect, Colt Emerson to a 8-year deal and it has some M's fans worried about paying him before he's ever been called up. No, this isn't an Evan White situation; White was signed before he'd ever really been evaluated. This averages out to about $12 million a year, that's how much Mitch Garver costs. :45- The ABS system; does it make umps look as bad as it seems it does?

Headlines and GREGG BELL (Tacoma News Tribune) Gregg helps us kick of the Draftmas season with a look at where the Seahawks might be focusing their draft plans. The synergy between the scouts, Schneider and MacDonald and how it's improved over the last two years. What was the reaction from the VMAC about being picked for Hard Knocks? :30- ABCs of the Mariners - G is for Gilbert: Logan has given up 8 earned run in his first two starts - H is for Heart of the Order: it's still too early to worry about the struggles of Naylor, Cal and Julio - I is for Impossible: do Justin and Jerry just need to throw their hands up in the air and say finding a guy that dominates left handers is impossible? :45- It's time to get Reckless at breakfast… kind of. A few years ago, this would have been a lot more reckless, but talking about an 18-game NFL season today is just an inevitability. An 18-game season and no preseason games? Possibly. Two international games? Also a possibility.

It's Draftmas time!! We kick off the Draft season with all of the festivities and merriment as the countdown to the NFL Draft begins. :30- Mariners Morning After Last night wasn't one for the books as the Mariners were up against Max Fried in game 2 against the Yankees and this game was all Yankees. Logan hasn't looked as good as we'd hope and Cal still seems to be off. Can the team rebound for a series W this afternoon? :45- Tiger Woods rolled his car over the weekend and announced that he is going to be taking some time away to seek treatment for what we can assume is some sort of substance issue. Why do we give a pass to super successful athletes vs everyday people in these situations?

ABC's of the Mariners - D is for Donovan: Brendan Donovan will ultimately settle into the 3rd base spot and ultimately, he'll cool off a bit as well at the plate, but even with his mistakes, he's a net positive. - E is for Emerson: Colt Emerson made some cash today as the M's agreed to terms on a new deal. So, when can we expect the young superstar to be called up and how will the team make room for him? - F is for Finances: with today's 8-year, $95 million deal we know we don't have worry about the future of Colt Emerson in this Mariners organization and we know that when he's ready, they'll call him up. :30- Hard Knocks came calling and the Seahawks answered the call. Congrats HBO, we'll be locked in! :45- We close out the show with one last thing.

GENE STERATORE (CBS Rules Analyst) Gene is not only a former NFL ref, he also refereed college basketball, so we get his thoughts on March Madness and how much more difficult the sport is to officiate now? We know Gene was never an umpire in MLB, but we have to get his thoughts on the new ABS system and how tough it would be for the umpires to now have every call scrutinized. How did he deal with the increased scrutiny when NFL implemented instant replay and how will these umpires deal with the pressure now put on them? What's Gene's outlook on the future of officiating? :30- EVERETT FITZHUGH (Kraken Audio Network PxP) The Kraken wrap up a long road trip with a game in Edmonton tonight and Everett gives us the latest on the road trip and what he's seeing. Let's look at our scoring leaders compared to Connor McDavid- how badly does this team need someone in that realm? With 10 games to go, what has to happen in order for the Kraken to get into the playoffs? :45- Emerson Hancock wowed on Sunday and has left lot of people wondering if the Mariners will explore a 6-man rotation.

Headlines and Breaking News! The Mariners have agreed to terms on an extension with Colt Emerson that could earn him up to $130 Million over 9 years. Smart business move by both parties or no? Sean McVay is clearly still bothered by that two-point conversion and he's making sure to let people know, including Mike MacDonald. :30- The ABS system is getting a lot of attention in this first week of the 2026 season and last night was no different as the Yankees challenged 5 pitches and got all 5 challenges right. Yankees manager Aaron Boone had words with the Homeplate umpire after that and the Yankees never challenged a pitch again. How did the umpire get better with that stress? :45- The final four is set and the research shows that the Michigan/Arizona matchup on Saturday is the 3rd best matchup ever and it's not even the Championship!

The Mariners walk it off and Big Dumper gets the job done! The big three have been slumping big-time, could this be what Cal needed to get out of the slump and how concerned should we be about their struggles since it's still so early in the season? :30- Mariners Morning After Luis Castillo spun a gem and the Mariners and Yankees were tied at 1 in the 9th. Cal had the day off, which seems unusual so early in the season and while his first pinch-hitting at-bat was ugly, he stepped up and delivered the game-winning hit when it was needed most. HIGHLIGHTS ATTACHED :45- The Seahawks are going to be featured on Hard Knocks this summer… no, it's not a joke. The NFL changed the rules last year, so yes, playoff teams and even Super Bowl-winning teams aren't exempt anymore. How are we feeling about our team being the focus of the HBO show?

RYON HEALY (MLB Radio/Mariners TV) - Does Ryon wish he would have had the ability to challenge calls when he played and how does he feel about the debut of the ABS system? - Let's talk about Emerson Hancock and the very tough decisions the Mariners could have created for themselves. - Would it make sense to go to a 6-man rotation or will that cause more problems? - Brendan Donovan's debut was terrific offensively, but he had one bad throw on Saturday; how difficult was the play and how tough is it for him to try to become an everyday 3rd baseman? - Did the WBC screw up our best players? - The Yankees are in town starting tonight- have the roles reversed? - Does Castillo still have it in him to be great again and do we need him to be great? :30- With the possibility of NBA expansion on the horizon; will the league adjust their expansion rules to make it a little easier for the two new teams to succeed? :45- We close out the show with one last thing!

Mariners Opening weekend gave us a lot to talk about. The ABS system debuted and it adds a new wrinkle and added drama to the game. Emerson Hancock threw 6 no-hit innings yesterday and could leave the Mariners with a small problem once Bryce Miller is healthy. It was only one start, but if Hancock continues on this path, could the Mariners explore a 6-man rotation? :30- It's the debut of the ABC's of the Mariners in 2026! - A is for ABS system, which made it's debut and already has a lot of people talking. - B is for Bronx Bombers- the Yankees are in town starting tonight. - C is for Catalyst- newcomer Brendan Donovan has some work to do at 3rd and he admitted that, but offensively he is making a lot of Mariners fans very happy. :45- The Final Four is a good mix- not too chalky but no great outliers. It's time for a green jacket update!

Headlines and MLB opening weekend with the ABS system. :30- The Final Four is set and that UConn game winner was one of the best shots we've ever seen in the tourney. Are we drawing too fine of a line when a miracle shot can have one fan base questioning their coach's future? :45- We are only two days away from Draftmas; the catalog has arrived and the Schneider bucks are already burning a hole in our pockets.

Chuck is back and Bucky's out for the week.
