I start my conversation with award winning filmmaker, Victoria Negri, with a bang by asking her how she deals with imposter syndrome. We discuss the problem of freedom - do people thrive when they have endless choices or are restricted. Victoria tells me about the themes that are of interest to her in film-making, the inspiration for her award winning film Gold Star and her upcoming feature Ultra. I ask her about what it was like to direct herself and the planning period for Gold Star. Victoria and I then dive off the deep end and talk about how growing up with older fathers affected our psyche. She shares with me how the mentality she took from her father was brought into her film ventures and life in general. I ask her about the costs of film making and how you ever find the money to produce even a small budget film. In the last part of my chat with Victoria I ask her about how anyone makes a living from film making when they aren't already a super star. She tells me about the misconceptions people have about film making and the 2 most annoying questions she gets over and over again. We transition into the challenges we face in running and how some of those things lead us to serendipitous events in our lives. Shop the Solpri store at https://solpri.com
