(This podcast was previously published on April 3, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   As we love the Word of God and do the Word of God we will find that God often plants HIS own desire into our hearts, giving us the desires of our heart.   Psalm 37   1 Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.   2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.   3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.   4 Delight thyself also in the LORD (in the Word); and HE shall give thee the desires of thine heart.   5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in HIM; and HE shall bring it to pass.   6 And HE shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.   7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.   8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.   9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.   When we see those who do evil, know that God will judge that evil doer ... and God will judge us too!   Know, in hope, that judgment will come from God and when that is the case it will be just.   Therefore keep your trust centered in God.  And don't allow yourself to be swept away with the iniquity.

His research underscores the idea that stem cells undergo a preparatory phase for differentiation, highlighting the critical balance of intrinsic and extrinsic factors that govern genetic expression and cellular outcomes. We also talk about Dr. Basu's current research trajectory, focusing on enhancing imaging techniques to study gene dynamics in tissue contexts relevant to developmental biology and disease states. He illustrates a vision for future projects that integrate advanced imaging tools to investigate transcription factor dynamics and chromatin interactions in live cells and embryos, furthering the understanding of decision-making processes in cellular contexts. Greetings! Today we begin our 21-day journey through Psalm 37! Our theme is “Learning to Love God More.” We will go verse by verse and allow the Lord to speak to our hearts and minds. In addition to myself, other contributors include Patricia Hudson, Stacy Williams, Min. Bertha Fields, and Pastor Lee Rob. I will be writing the majority of the lessons, and I deeply appreciate the contributions of these fellow servants of God. Lessons will be posted by 5:30AM each day. Key Thought: Anxiety over evil drains the soul more than evil itself. Prayer: “Lord, quiet my spirit and anchor my trust in You.” It is no exaggeration to say that we are witnessing, in real time in our nation, workers of iniquity. This is not something new, but rarely has it been on full display at a national level among national political leaders. We are seeing despotism and dictatorial tactics in a nation where the Constitution says that “We The People” are the basis of our form of government—what Abraham Lincoln described as government “of the people, by the people, and for the people.” I share this because we have to be very mindful of not allowing ourselves to fret when we consider what is going on. Here in our state of Indiana, we are seeing situations that are harmful to people, especially the most vulnerable among us. As we are dealing with many grievous situations in our world, those of us who will not be silent must maintain balance. We must remain vigilant and active. At the same time, we must avoid strife or becoming obsessed with the deeds of evildoers. The Scripture plainly says, “do not fret.” As a matter of fact, in Psalm 37 the words “do not fret” appear three times. The third mention, in verse 8, states: “Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; do not fret—it only causes harm.” So while we who will not be silent, as many others are, must stay engaged. We also have to draw closer to God and keep our hearts clear of wrath, strife, and fretfulness. One way to do that is what we are doing right now—spending time in the Word, in prayer, and allowing the Holy Spirit to minister peace to our hearts. Jesus said in John 14:26–27, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” Through this peace, we can steady our troubled hearts, and we will not fear the actions of ungodly people. Psalm 37 provides a Discovery of our nature: it is natural to boil over with anger when we see wrong. However, the psalmist tells us to not let ourselves get this way. This starts with five things we must do in Dependence on God: trust in Him, commit/roll away our burden onto Him, Delight in Him, and cease from anger. In episode 46, we review two expansions: The White Castle: Matcha published by Devir and Wyrmspan: Dragon Academy published by Stonemaier Games. But, first! We chat about what is bringing us joy: Yokai Septet, 12 Chip Trick, Sausage Sizzle!, and Galileo Galilei. The White Castle: Matcha introduces the tea ceremony to the game and a new means to influence the court with new members of your clan: Geishas. This includes taking actions in order to proceed along the Path of Tea; progress far enough along this path, and your Geisha will earn a spot in the Tea House, granting your clan additional influence within the court of Himeji. This expansion incorporates a suite of new game spaces, cards, player boards, and workers. However, one of the pivotal changes that Angela isn't a huge fan of is the addition of another die, bringing the total actions a player takes from three in the base game to four in a round.Wyrmspan: Dragon Academy introduces more of everything from the base game, from caverns, to dragons, to guilds, to objectives. However, the most appealing changes (in our homie opinions) are the addition of the round tracker and fledgling dragons. When a player passes out of a round, they get a choice of bonuses to take into the next round, rather than the flat 6 coins you previously got in the base game. Fret not, as there is still an option for those 6 coins if you get there early enough, but the others provide resources and one fewer coin, which may be just what you need to entice that dragon. As for the fledglings, they are a fifth type of dragon that lack any abilities from the start but can transform with enough care from your trainer (often in the form of providing different resources.) They also increase in score the more you attract to your caves. Two worthy expansions!
