Hey! First of all, don't attack me for slacking, God knows how bad I've been feening to record but life has just been so hectic! I won't promise to upload on a rigid schedule like I did last time (whoops) but I will try to be more consistent with these because I really love doing this. In today's episode, I decided to focus on one's identity, and more specifically the role your name has on your identity. Personally, this is something that I have struggled with for quite a while and I could really rant about it for days so I decided to make this the first official episode. Because one's identity is something that we can go so in-depth towards I will definitely make multiple parts to this topic. I hope y'all enjoy listening to this as much as I enjoyed recording! One Love, Marielys
May I know your name? May I have your name? Could you please tell me your name? I feel honoured to meet you, may I know your name? 你多大了不只是 how old are youHow old are you? Do you mind telling me your age? When were you born? What is your Chinese zodiac? 你今年多大了既可以说 when were you born,也可以用 what is your Chinese zodiac. I was born in the year of the dog, what is your Chinese zodiac? 1、used in polite questions to ask a person s name2、the good opinion that people have about a person or thing中国是礼仪之邦,因此中国人在问名字和年龄的时候,喜欢用一些敬语。 英语里的 good name 也是个礼貌的说法,may I have your good name 就是能告诉我您的大名是什么吗? This scandal damaged the good name of this director. This athlete was a household name after becoming national champion.
St. Paul understood that the faith can be complicated because life is complicated. Good relationships are the foundation from which any ministry can take place. This is Fr. Kyle White's first weekend as pastor of St. Leo. Before we dream about where we want to go together, let's start with names.
Have you ever thought about how to name your children? Well, Cyliane and Ralph have. Expecting a baby, they are just about to find out all the things to consider when naming a human being. In the third episode of Season 1, we will not only explore different cultural aspects of names, we also talk to Natalia Barbican about her bureaucratic and emotional journey of changing her surname when moving from Russia to the UK. Obvious the podcast is an international production by Sasha Tyan, Astrig Agopian and Theresa Mainka and is officially supported by Are We Europe, a new media that gives you a new perspective through its border-breaking stories.
Kelly is the worst at remembering his coworkers names. Wood calls him out on it today. We have an awesome happy hour story about Barstool Sports helping out a St Cloud business. Wood's trials on getting a dog continue. And more from today's show. Thank you for listening and for sharing!
This week, Thom gets a partner in his efforts to troll Anthony, while Julia gets another woman to balance out the gender dynamics on the podcast, when April Ryley returns to join the elves in covering Netflix's 2020, original holiday musical film, Dolly Parton's Christmas on the Square! While all four are huge Dolly Parton fans, and three of the four really enjoyed Dolly Parton's Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love, does this overly cheesy and overly stuffed riff on It's a Wonderful Life live up to the standards that they expect of Queen Dolly? Or are Dolly and Christine Baranski not even enough to save this musical full of questionable tunes? Also discussed this episode, the time Anthony and April met in New York, Julia's upcoming Disney vacation, and Thom's Thanksgiving! We also learn more about Jewish culture thanks to April! This is one fun, laugh-a-minute episode you want to be sure not to miss, so settle in beside the Christmas tree with your favorite holiday beverage and enjoy!

Hey!
This podcast is broken into two separate parts. Part 1 sets up the historical context and part 2 applies it to a special verse about Jesus. The name of God is so special and so holy (kadosh קדוש) - meaning set apart, special, distinct. The rabbis in Jesus' day and even before even made up a new law - don't say God's name so you won't break the commandment that says do not take HIS name in vain. Therefore, in Jesus' day the tetragrammaton, yud hay vav hay יהוה, was not said. Other words were substituted like Adonai meaning ""Lord" or HaShem meaning "the Name." So one might say God's name, יהוה, I pronounce it "Yah Vay," is a name so above other names, so beyond other names, separate and set apart or kadosh קדוש - God even says this about His name. This is the historical context we need to understand when we read the New Testament. Religious Jews who followed Jesus as Lord, as Savior, as God, knew this. It was part of their everyday culture. Thus, the verses Phil 2:5-11 take on a whole new meaning. We then ask Jesus, "What is your name? What is your REAL name?" Here are links to the articles I referenced in these podcasts.
