In this episode of Brag On Ag, I recap the year and talk about some of the lessons I learned throughout the year! Thank you all for supporting me all this time, without your help I wouldn't be here today! Lastly Merry Christmas and Happy New Years!

Morgan Anderson is the current National FFA Eastern Region Vice President, the 2021-2022 Ohio FFA Vice President, and a former chapter officer for the Amanda-Clearcreek FFA Chapter located in Fairfield County, Ohio. Morgan is no stranger to the world of CDE's/LDE's, as she is an Ohio FFA state champion in 6 different competitions, and a national runner up in Prepared Public Speaking along with being a competitor in Creed Speaking (2018), Agricultural Issues Forum (2019), Employment Skills (2020). Morgan is currently a junior studying broadcast journalism at Ohio University, where she works at a TV Station in Southeast Ohio with the plan of becoming a TV reporter one day!

Amara Jackson is the current National FFA President from Corunna, Michigan. Back home in Michigan, she was the Chapter President, Regional President and State President. She loved competing in Prepared Public Speaking and her Supervised Agricultural Experience is Equine Science and Agricultural Sales. She is a current junior at Oklahoma State University, studying Agricultural Communications and Agribusiness. Upon graduation, her plan is to attend law school, where she will focus on farm success and estate planning.

Camille Sonnier is serving as the 2023-2024 Louisiana FFA State President. Camille loves to compete in Gulf of Mexico Speaking, Livestock Judging, and her favorite, show dairy cattle. She has placed 1st in the state in the Dairy Production Proficiency area and is a former Area lll Treasurer. Camille is a senior in the Lacassine FFA Chapter and plans to attend Louisiana Tech University to major in Agricultural Business.

Hey listeners! I am so excited to be back recording another episode for y'all! Today's episode is going to be a special treat. I have with me some awesome guests (Kayla Poling, Garrett Case, Aubrie McEndoo, and Cora Sullivan!) that are excited and ready to rock and roll! We are going to talk a little bit about our experiences at the second session of the first annual Oklahoma FFA LEAD 360 Conference and some other leadership activities we have attended! This is going to be a little bit of a different podcast episode, so just stick with us as we chat, have a good time, and Brag On Ag!

This episode is going to be a little bit different. Within this episode are four guests who are each very experienced veterans in the area of livestock exposition. I am very excited for this new concept I am starting and hope all you listeners truly enjoy it as well! Thank you!!

Paisley Nelson is a member of the North Platte FFA Chapter in Dearborn, MO. She serves as Chapter President and the Area I 2nd Vice President. She has exhibited cattle across the country and has had success on the local, state, and national level. Most recently being named Reserve Grand Champion Steer at the Missouri State Fair. Trevor Lucas is the Oklahoma FFA Executive Secretary, a former Oklahoma FFA State Reporter, and a former Agricultural Education instructor in the great state of Oklahoma. He is an employee of the State of Oklahoma, serving in the Agricultural Education Division at the Oklahoma Department of Careertech in Stillwater. As Executive Secretary of the OKFFA, he is one of the seven professional staff members who work full-time for Agricultural Education and the FFA. Together, they provide leadership for 29,213 Oklahoma FFA members, 483 Agricultural Education Teachers, and a total of 366 high school programs.

Cooper Kline is the current North Rock Creek FFA Chapter President, a member of both the 2023-2024 American Farmers and Ranchers Youth Advisory Council and the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry Youth Council, a member of the 2023 Oklahoma FFA Foundation Intern Program, the Vice-President of the 2022 Central Area Colt Conference Opening and Closing Ceremonies team, as well as being a certified Oklahoma Bred Association Premier Chester Breeder. Along with these accomplished, Cooper is a 3 time state champion in prepared public speaking at the AFR/OFU State speech contest and a 2 time state finalist in public speaking at the OKFFA State Speech contest, the 2021 state runner up in commercial cattle grading, a State Finalist in the Sheep Production Proficiency Area and the 2022 Oklahoma State Fair Youth Extemporaneous Champion. As for his exhibition record, Cooper raises Chester White show pigs, and has been a 2 time Night of the Stars OYE Gilt Sale Qualifier as well as winning Reserve Grand Champion at the Oklahoma State Fair with his vegetable exhibit.

Clara Duncan is the 2023-2024 Oklahoma State FFA Reporter, a two time land judging nationals qualifier, a top 3 individual land judging at state, and a lover of Jesus, people, country music, and FFA. She is a graduate from the Chickasha FFA Chapter and will be an upcoming freshman at Oklahoma State University this fall. You can find her on Instagram @clara.renee

Paige Cruse is a State Finalist in Public Speaking, a State Finalist in the Ag Comm. Proficiency area, a State competitor Livestock Judging, a 7th generation cattle rancher and the owner of her very own Ag Comm SAE Project known as Front Paige Ag! She is a junior at Fort Pierce Westwood high school in the great state of Florida.

Esther VanOverbeke is a National FFA Champion and National Finalist in the Agriscience Fair, a two time State Champion in the Agriscience Fair, a state competitor in Opening and Closing Ceremonies, a competitor in Prepared Public Speaking, and a competitor in the Meat Evaluation CDE. Jason Holland was the 2022-23 Missouri FFA State Vice President, a State Champion and National Silver rating in the Ag. Communications proficiency award, and a member of the 2019 National Runner Up for Conduct of Chapter Meetings team. Jason is also the Founder and Owner of My FFA Experience, which has been featured on RFD-TV and their show FFA Today. He is the former Chapter President of the Eldon FFA Chapter, in Eldon, Missouri. Jocelyn James is the 2023-2024 Latta FFA President, a state finalist in prepared public speaking and FFA Creed Speaking, and is a 3 time AQHA L1 all around state champion. Blake Weeks is currently the Meeker FFA Vice President he has exhibited many Showpigs projects including the reserve champion Berkshire gilt at OYE in 2018 , The breed champion Berkshire gilt at Tulsa State Fair in 2018,2019,2020 and 2022 as well as being the champion duroc barrow at Tulsa in 2021. During his Tulsa run he has brought home two consecutive bronze medallion titles . He also dabbles into livestock judging and has offers ranging anywhere from Canada to Mexico. Alec Anderson is the 2023-2024 Oklahoma FFA Northwest Area Vice-President, a multiple time champion and reserve champion with Wether Lambs at OYE and Tulsa State Fair, a numerous time state competitor in public speaking, and a 2023 Oklahoma Foundation of Excellence Academic Allstater. He is a graduate from Ringwood High School and will be attending Oklahoma State University this fall. And lastly, I almost forgot to mention, HE HAS GOT THAT DAWG IN HIM! Colton Roy is the 2022-2023 Missouri FFA State President, the 2022 National FFA Committee Chair, a State Finalist STAR in Agribusiness, a Two time state proficiency finalist and is a graduate from the Trenton FFA Chapter in Northwest, Missouri. Kylee Falasco is the 2023-2024 Oklahoma FFA SW Area Vice-President, a member of the 2023 state champion Agricultural Communications CDE team and the state runner up Agricultural Communications CDE team in 2022, a multiple time competitor in the Vet Science CDE and Livestock judging and a competitor in public speaking. She is a multiple national finalist and state champion with proficiency awards, a state finalist in the greenhand quiz, and a swine exhibitor. Pedro Valles is the 2023-2024 Oklahoma FFA State Secretary, a state champion in the Agronomy CDE, a state competitor in prepared public speaking, a sheep exhibitor and an attendee of the Washington Leadership Conference. Neilee Guinn is a state competitor in Meat judging, public speaking, and the greenhand quiz, the 2022 NE Area COLT Conference Opening and Closing Ceremonies Reporter, and a numerous time swine exhibitor at the Oklahoma Youth Expo. Heath Laubach is a multiple time state finalist in prepared public speaking, the third place state finalist in Greenhand Quiz in 2021, a former delegate at the National FFA Convention, the 2022 Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association Essay Contest Winner, a multiple time member of the Woodward District Livestock Show Social Media Team, and a competitor in Farm Business Management and Ag Communications. Colton Conley is the current Louisiana FFA president, a two time state champion and National Silver Emblem Finalist in Extemporaneous Public Speaking, a state finalist in the Beef Production Proficiency area, and a former Area II Secretary. Windsor Godfrey is the current Texas FFA State President, and a multiple time competitor in creed speaking, public relations, poultry evaluation and cotton classing. She is a former Texas FFA Area 4 officer and is a former member of the Bryson FFA Chapter. She will be taking a gap year to Agvocate for leadership and agriculture to schools across Texas. Reese Mitchell is the current Arkansas FFA State President, a former Chair for the National FFA Committee, a National Silver Finalist in the Swine Production Entrepreneurship Proficiency award Area, a competitor in numerous CDE's and LDE's such as veterinary science, farm business management, discussion meet, Parliamentary Procedure, Prepared Public Speaking, and many more! She is a senior at Emerson High School and will be an incoming Freshman at the University of Arkansas this fall majoring in Animal Science with Pre-Professional Concentration and Agricultural Communications! Ashlee Purvine is a cattle showman, a multiple time State competitor in Prepared Public speaking, a competitor in livestock judging, and is a Junior from the Thomas-Fay-Custer FFA Chapter in the Southwest Area of Oklahoma. For the first official episode of 2023 I knew I needed to go above and beyond with this episode. My guest is one of my best friends, and someone I call a brother. Caleb Horne is the current Oklahoma FFA Northwest Area Vice-President, the 2022 National FFA Prepared Public Speaking Champion, a former National FFA Creed Speaking finalist, a four time state champion in prepared public speaking, a state champion in the Agriscience fair, and a state proficiency award finalist. Jaylee Buck is the president of the Kiefer FFA Chapter, a state competitor in public speaking, and had the breed champion Duroc Barrow at OYE in 2019. She has been showing pigs for nine years and is currently a Junior in high school. You can find her Instagram @jayleebuck

Wyatt Morrow is the current Secretary of the Fairfield FFA Chapter in Ohio and has been able to represent his chapter in the past as the 2021 Highland County Fair King and compete in CDE's such as Job Interview at a state level. Recently he and his friend McKinley Cox have created a platform titled “Convention Conversations” where they interview future agriculturalists on different matters. They were interviewed about their platform by the National FFA at the National Convention this year. His goal is to have him and McKinley take their platform to a state and national level to get the voices for future agriculturalists heard. Kaden James is a freshman from the Wellston FFA Chapter in the central area. He is a multiple time state competitor in numerous CDE's, including OCC and the Greenhand Quiz. A lover of public speaking, Kaden recently placed runner up at the AFR/OFU Speech contest. Addyson Schneberger is Sophomore at Carnegie high school and is currently her FFA chapters Vice President. A lover of all things livestock, she has been showing livestock for many years now and has been very competitive. Addyson has won the Oklahoma Youth Expo and the Tulsa State Fair market goat show twice. Recently she exhibited the Reserve Grand Doe at the Tulsa state fair and showed the 3rd overall Wether dam doe at Louisville. She is also very involved in public speaking, having won multiple state titles, including the 2022 Oklahoma FFA State Creed Speaking contest. After which she qualified for the national contest and competed in Indianapolis at the National FFA Convention and was a semi-finalist. As well as winning the state creed contest this last spring, she was also a part of the Oklahoma FFA State Champion 9th grade quiz bowl team. Destyn Emerson is the National FFA high individual in Livestock judging, High individual in the Judging Pro National Contest, was the 3rd high individual Hutch Winter Classic National contest, was the 3rd high individual at the Tulsa State Fair, 4th High Overall Individual National Western Stock Show FFA Livestock Judging Contest, and the 4th high individual State FFA Livestock Judging Contest. Alongside all these, Destyn is also a member of the first place team at the 2022 National FFA Livestock Judging contest, and numerous other first place livestock judging teams. Not only does she judge livestock, but she also exhibits goats, having won both the Wether and Doe goat showmanship at the Tulsa State Fair. She is the president of the Tuttle FFA Chapter. Jarrett Davis is from Shawnee Oklahoma. Jarrett owns and operates JD Showpigs with his wife Alli and daughters Jadie and Tatum. They raise crossbred and purebred show pigs and breeding stock that have won shows across the county. Jarrett graduated at Oklahoma State University, and went on to be an agricultural education teacher and FFA advisor for 6 years. Dr. Marshall Swafford is the head of the Department of Agriculture and Tourism at Arkansas Tech University. He was an amazing guest to have on, and has been one of my favorite guests so far!

Leaundre Delonia is the state runner up in the OKFFA Chapter Secretary contest, a competitor in the Tulsa State Fair with both indoor and livestock exhibits, a state competitor in the Agriscience fair, a competitor in both meats and livestock judging and a competitor in public speaking. Kass Newell is the Executive Vice President of the Oklahoma Youth Expo. As a native of Orlando, Oklahoma, Kass grew up showing cattle and goats at OYE and across the United States. As a graduate of Oklahoma State University, member of OALE Class XI, she came to the Youth Expo as the livestock data coordinator in 2015. Today, she serves as the show manager, coordinating the logistics of OYE, is responsible for day-to-day office operations and works to ensure every exhibitor's experience is superior in every way possible. Peyton Burns is a National semifinalist in Parliamentary Procedure, a multiple state champion in meat judging, high individual in meat judging, state competitor in livestock judging, team member of the 2nd place overall livestock judging team at the National Western Stock Show, and a competitor in public speaking. He is both a State and American FFA Degree Recipient, an intern for Senator Inhofe and Congressman Lucas's office, and he will be an incoming senior at Oklahoma State University this fall. Libby McEndoo is a former Oklahoma FFA state officer candidate, multiple time state competitor in the agriscience fair, and a competitor In prepared public speaking, ag issues, and livestock judging. She exhibited show cattle, and played volleyball while in high school. She is a graduate from the Stillwater FFA Chapter, a state FFA degree recipient, and is an incoming freshman at Oklahoma State University where she will be double majoring in animal science and agriculture business. Brett Hoffman is a former State competitor in sporting clays, a competitor in numerous CDE's, and was a competitor in both prepared and extemporaneous public speaking. He is a graduate from the Poteau FFA Chapter in the Southeast Area of Oklahoma, is a former officer of his FFA Chapter, former State Officer Candidate, owns his own herd of Cattle, raises hogs, works at local chicken houses as part of his continued SAE. He is going to be Double Majoring in Food Safety and Meat science and will also be a part of the Collegiate Meat Judging team at Eastern Oklahoma State College this upcoming fall. Rhett Laubach is a former Oklahoma State FFA President, he works with associations, corporations, and student organizations interested in developing leadership potential. Cole Baerlocher is the former Washington FFA State Officer, the current National FFA President, and is a state champion in Prepared Public speaking. He was a state competitor in Livestock evaluation, employment skills, Conduct of chapter meetings and is a high placing individual in employment skills, and a high ranking team member in potato evaluation. He is a graduate of the Colfax FFA chapter in Southeastern Washington, and is a State FFA and American FFA degree recipient. He will be an incoming Freshman at Texas A&M this upcoming spring. Karstyn Cantrell is the former Oklahoma FFA State Officer, a National FFA Officer Candidate, multiple time state finalist in Prepared Public speaking, and a former member of both the National FFA Advisor Roundtable and OKLAHOMA FFA Convention social media team. Larahmy Blakely is a former Cattle and hog showman, multiple time State champion in proficiency awards, Ag Issues CDE, a national finalist for proficiency awards, a competitor in the agriscience fair, sorted livestock and was a state competitor for prepared public speaking. He is former president of the Oologah FFA Chapter, a member of the American Jr Maine board of directors, serves on the AFR Youth council, a member of the Oklahoma Junior Cattlemen board, and is the 2022 Oklahoma FFA State Star Farmer. He is a graduate from the Oologah FFA Chapter in the NE Area of the state, and is a state FFA Degree Recipient. Braden Heisler is the former Oklahoma FFA State Officer, a state champion in Prepared Public speaking, a two time member of the National FFA band, and a state competitor in the agronomy CDE contest. He is a graduate of the Waukomis FFA chapter in the Northwest Area of the state, and is a state ffa degree recipient. He will be a sophomore in college this upcoming fall. Garrett Case is an Hog showman, a multiple time State competitor in both Prepared Public speaking and livestock and a senior from the Skiatook FFA Chapter in Northeast Area of Oklahoma. Today my guest is Courtney Blagg from Oologah, Oklahoma. Courtney is a goat showman, a multiple time State Champion in the Agriscience fair, a competitor in Prepared Public speaking, and is a Junior from the Oologah FFA Chapter in the Northeast Area of Oklahoma. She is currently the Chapter Reporter, owns her own cake making business, raises show goats as part of her SAE, and has competed multiple times in the Agriscience fair. Today my first guest is Brody Wallis from Allen, Oklahoma. Brody Wallis is a former cattle showman, a multiple time State competitor in Prepared Public speaking, and a graduate from the Allen FFA Chapter in the Southeast Area of Oklahoma. He was the former President of his FFA Chapter, former State Officer Candidate, owns his own herd of Cattle and raises show calves as part of his continued SAE. He is going to be Double Majoring in Animal and Meat science and will also be a part of the Collegiate Meat Judging team at Eastern Oklahoma State College this upcoming fall.
