In November of 2001, Jennifer Blagg and her 6-year-old daughter Abby disappeared from their upscale Colorado neighborhood. A pool of blood and overturned purse were left behind. The crime scene baffled investigators. They'd never seen anything like this before.

Predators I've Caught With Chris Hansen

Corye Blagg, 22 years of age at the time, began chatting with a decoy who said she was a thirteen-year-old girl. Blagg was considered a "fast mover." He transitioned from introducing himself to the decoy to requesting to meet and continuously asking for the address to the sting house in the first six minutes of the chat. Blagg suggested that he could take the decoy's virginity in the hot tub after she revealed that she was a virgin and owned said hot tub. Blagg said he would bring chocolate-flavored condoms when the decoy inquired whether he would bring condoms. Blagg drives an hour and 45 minutes to the sting house. He starts conversation with the decoy, but is then met by Chris.   This is another Hurrdat Media Production. Hurrdat Media is a podcast network and digital media production company based in Omaha, NE. Alicia Blagg: Olympian, National Champion, Commonwealth Gold medalist, future detective and mental health advocate. It's an extensive CV already at just 23 years old. For most athletes, competing at the Olympic Games is the pinnacle of their career. For Alicia Blagg, involvement in the Games was achieved at just 15 years old when she competed at London 2012 in the diving. Success came even earlier for Alicia, when at 13 she became England's youngest ever double national champion. Competing on the big stage and being thrust into the limelight at such a young age is a difficult challenge, and while Alicia successfully dealt with the intense pressure at the time, on reflection she admits it took its toll mentally. So too did horrific injuries to her wrist and shoulder which ultimately forced Alicia into retirement earlier this month at just 23. The nature of diving contributed to her mental struggles too; it is is a psychologically demanding sport, with such fine margins for error. Tom Daley is another diver who has spoken openly about his mental health after suffering from PTSD following the 2012 Olympic Games. It's not just diving though and there is a huge mental health problem throughout sport. However, it is rare to find athletes willing to discuss their mental health, and so we are grateful to Alicia for being so open about her experiences in session #8, and we hope that the discussion will help other athletes who may be struggling. Welcome to this week's episode of The Mindset Mentor Meets Podcast which hears Angela interviewing Matthew Blagg, CEO at Criticaleye. About our guest A true entrepreneur, Matthew's experiences setting up businesses, advising firms on strategy and corporate development and sourcing senior executives for boards have shaped his role as CEO of Criticaleye. His acute understanding of the challenges facing today's leaders means he is well positioned to advise individuals in these roles. Matthew believes that executive collaboration needs careful framing and management so that senior executives get the most out of sharing information and ideas. He also thinks that in an increasingly complex landscape where leaders ‘don't know what they don't know', CEOs should be seizing the opportunity to learn and gain insight from the wider business community. Before Criticaleye, Matthew founded a strategic consulting firm. In this role, he advised firms across a diverse range of sectors, from venture capital to telecommunications, and took responsibility for the international operations of a UK listed business services company, establishing and maintaining its relationships across Europe, the Middle-East, Central Asia, North and Latin America. In 1990, he founded a successful mail order business which he sold in 1995. Matthew has extensive chairing experience having facilitated a variety of events on topics from strategy implementation to emerging economies. Recently, he has broadened these chairing skills to include the facilitation of intensive strategic sessions for the boards of leading UK organisations. He also continues to be a well respected sounding board for several Members within the Criticaleye Community, having established a trusted reputation for sharing both honest and practical insights. He is also a Member of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra's Development Board and a keen sportsman.   About this show Matthew is just amazing. Angela loved this conversation and Matthew shares how he built and sold a business by the time he was 24 and went on to build a further 3 companies including his current one, Criticaleye. He believes working with people brings a richness to his life and being curious about people keeps him feeling full of life. He didn't go to university and describes himself as 'academically useless.' His exposure to all aspects of business from leaving school, has meant this hasn't mattered at all. He felt the fear in those early years and was often a swan swimming, yet this feeling of being uncomfortable has helped him build resilience that means new experiences don't phase him. He prides himself on not having a visible ego and believes hard work and facing insecurities has contributed to his success. This half hour really is a joy. The invention of dialysis -- essentially artificial kidneys for people with kidney failure -- revolutionized medicine. It also started a debate about medical rationing and ethics that rages to this day. Producer Cam Steele brings us a story about the God Squad, the group of lay people and doctors tasked with deciding who lived and who died in the early days of dialysis, and how it has informed every debate about medical rationing since. Learn about all this and more, plus a new #AdamAnswers in the latest episode of Bedside Rounds, a tiny podcast about fascinating stories in clinical medicine. Part two of my talk with comedy writer and producer Alex Blagg.

Alison Rosen Is Your New Best Friend

Alex Blagg is the kind of overachiever who makes you feel as if you aren't doing enough with your life/career, but in a completely charming way. In addition to being the co-creator and executive producer of @midnight, he writes for Workaholics, helms (along with two partners) a successful production company, writes feature scripts and is raising twins. And he doesn't even seem stressed. We talked about what brought him to this point: growing up the son of "cool Jesus" parents, moving around, renouncing the fratboy path he was headed down in favor of film and literature, doing comedy, working as the managing editor for the Best Week Ever site, taking a job in LA that was ultimately demoralizing and then inadvertently turning his own life into performance art/parody as a social media and tech guru also named Alex Blagg. We also talked about his addiction to flossies, how he met his wife, getting sober eight years ago and more. Plus we took your questions over Twitter and did a round of Just Me Or Everyone.
