TECH CLUBBERS PODCAST W/ SABINE HOFFMANN Sabine grew up in Berlin. Her first years of life she spend in East Berlin. Early 2000's She discovered her passion for spinning vinyl, when she was first exposed to electronic music. She plays a deep blend of techno and house music in all their different genres. Besides club music, she is also available for Ambient sets. But regardless of the style, you will always find Sabine playing vinyl only sets as she prefers the warmth of analog sounds and the classic feel of turntables. She has played at almost all the leading clubs in Berlin such as About Blank, Tresor, Heideglühen, Salon zur wilden Renate, Berghain Kantine, Suicide, Griessmühle, IPSE, Farbfernseher, Golden Gate, Arena Club and the list goes on. Her international profile has been steadily increasing, she already played in Tiflis, Paris, Baku, Yerevan, Krakow and Thessaloniki to name a few. Since 2016 Sabine works at the well known OYE record shop in Berlin. She is taking care of all OYE club events and also all Instores happening at one of the record shops. Since January 2023 she is hosting the OYE Podcast series. Sabine is the founder of "Frauengedeck". It´s an event series focusing on an all female line up. She wants to support and present female DJs. She has held many events at different clubs throughout Berlin like Wilde Renate, Griessmühle, Farbfernseher and Beate Uwe. The first international events outside of Germany, were held in Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia. Her newest project is "Dub Nation". An event series brought to life by good old colleagues and friends Sabine Hoffmann and Kenneth Christiansen. Both share the unconditional love for the deeper and more dubby side of Techno and House. She finished her Audio Engineering studies at SAE. Inspired by her gained knowledge, she started putting her focus on music production. The first result, a collaboration with No Mad Ronin is available on the label Zaijenroots. De mirador en mirador, la comarca se deja ver. De mirador en mirador, cada semana aquí aparece Xan Ramírez en "Rutas sin GPS", en este espacio que cierra nuestro programa de los viernes y nuestra emisión a lo largo de la semana aquí en Voces de Ferrol. Xan, ¿cómo estás? ¿Qué tal? Buenos días. Xan Ramírez: Estoy... estoy estupendamente como todos los viernes a esta hora, esperando ya que prácticamente es la hora de comer, incluso a lo mejor algún... no sé si tocará un vermutcito previamente. Ya se acabó la jornada laboral, viene un fin de semana regular, regularce te, pero yo creo que mañana va a abrir una ventanita ahí que me va a permitir disfrutar con las... con las raquetitas en los Ancares. Entonces, ¿que cómo estoy? Estupendamente Isidoro. Isidoro Valerio: Bueno, vuelves a Ancares por tanto. Oye, el fin de semana pasado lo clavamos, ni que fuéramos los hombres del tiempo, porque hubo nieve en O Caxado, que era lo que... lo que decíamos. Xan Ramírez: Hombre, hombre, el departamento climatológico de Radio Voz en esta sección... raro que... que a 24 horas por lo menos no lo clavemos. Y decíamos de que la gente no... no fuera al Caxado este fin de semana porque casi seguro que venía nieve y así fue. Ya viste las fotos que había en la prensa escrita, que efectivamente pues estaban los coches por allí con la nieve. No tenemos esos problemas pero, a ver, dijimos son 750 metros de altura y quieras que no, pues esa Sierra de la Faladoira pues siempre es un pequeño problemilla de humedades y demás. Así que lo clavamos. Oye, y te voy a decir una cosa, llegué el lunes al trabajo y un compañero de As Pontes me dijo: "Oye, no sabía yo que aquello era un radar, yo pensé que era un repetidor normal y corriente". Y dije yo: "Vaya hombre, estamos informando a la gente, qué maravilla". [01:21 - 01:46] Memes and Weather Isidoro Valerio: Bueno, está muy bien. Oye, por cierto, que han surgido con esto de que no para de llover, cientos de memes. A mí el que más me ha gustado es: "Quien haya molestado a la Virgen de la Cueva que le pida perdón o algo". Xan Ramírez: (Risas) Hay uno de... hay uno de Davila, este... este que es increíble también, que nuestro Señor se aparece a Noé y le dice que le va... van a llover 40 días y 40 noches, que se haga un acta... y la vieja que está al lado con el paraguas dice: "40 días y 40 noches, ¿dónde hay que firmar?". Isidoro Valerio: Claro, claro. Bueno, en fin, dicen que mañana no llueve, así que a ver si puedes disfrutar tú con las raquetas en Ancares. [01:46 - 04:39] The Route: Mirador da Miranda (Cariño) Isidoro Valerio: Pero hoy nos vas a llevar a la zona de Cariño, a un mirador que tenemos justo encima de Cariño. Xan Ramírez: Pero justo, justo, justo. Porque si... si casi casi si saltas, estás viendo que está Cariño allí casi... lo que nosotros decimos en cartografía "las curvas de nivel", eso que representa la gráfica del terreno, de la pendiente del terreno, es una pendiente tremenda porque está pues en la práctica casi... casi encima. Con lo cual, este tipo de miradores (es lo que pasa, a ver, tenemos la pendiente de la Garita de Herbeira que también yo siempre lo pongo como ejemplo de lo que es la altura sobre el nivel del mar), este tipo de miradores que están casi cortados, pues te da una sensación de muchísimo más de lo que realmente... de lo que realmente son, ¿no? Porque estamos hablando de que bueno, tampoco son tantos metros de altura y sin embargo son sobre 400, 400 y pico metros de altura, que es mucho para estar justo ahí al lado del mar. Y el Mirador de Miranda desde luego es una... una virguería. Isidoro Valerio: Mirador de Miranda, que yo no lo conocía y cuando me has enseñado las fotografías del lugar que hoy nos vas a recomendar, me he quedado impresionado porque la vista es muy, muy, muy bonita. Pero muy bonita, de... probablemente de lo más bonito en miradores que tenemos aquí en la zona, ¿no? Porque estamos... bueno pues en una costa que... que tiene así muchas entradas, que es así como... con muchos vericuetos y la verdad que además por la vegetación que tiene toda esa zona es realmente bonito. Xan Ramírez: Sí, y además es de los sitios que además encima también es accesible en coche, que es otro de las cosas que decimos, ¿no? Que bueno, que a veces hacemos caminar un poquito al oyente de Radio Voz, pero que en estos casos pues te puedes acercar. También es cierto que ojo, que son las carreteras, estas pistas asfaltadas de la Sierra de la Capelada, estamos en esta zona de Geoparque, en ese Cabo Ortegal y quieras que no... pues siempre. Pero que vaya, que no necesitamos grandes esfuerzos para acercarnos hasta ahí. Y sin embargo, pues son esos sitios que son pues prácticamente desconocidos y que sin embargo están... Yo siempre dije que había que hacer una gran guía de miradores de toda nuestra comarca, ¿no? En su día se hizo... se hizo una pequeña donde había participado yo, pero realmente nos falta poner en valor esos sitios, ese landscape que dicen esos los ingleses, ¿no? Ese horizonte, esa vista brutal, porque es lo que podemos vender. O sea, si no vamos a vender nuestro paisaje, no vamos a vender nuestra lluvia. En Santiago sí que la lluvia es arte, pero nosotros aquí la verdad es que no. Xan Ramírez: Y es que se llega fácilmente porque todo el mundo yo creo que conoce esa carretera que va desde Cedeira a Cariño, de San Andrés, que pasa por encima de San Andrés y que baja hacia Cariño por esa canteira enorme que hay allí. Y que me parece que debe ser como la provincial 2205, una cosa así. Pero bueno, y que además si vamos desde Cedeira pues no hay pérdida porque la sigues toda. Pero si vamos desde Cariño, pues o sea... en este caso sería desde Mera hacia Cariño, en ese lugar tan conocido como es "A Pedra" (ya sabe todo el mundo que para ir a Cariño hay que pasar por A Pedra, dice el refrán), pues ese lugar de A Pedra tiras para arriba por esa carretera que... que es absolutamente la misma. Y allí a medio camino, en el kilómetro más o menos 9, tenemos allí dos cruces, uno para la derecha y el otro para la izquierda. Y si venimos... no sé, nosotros tendremos que coger hacia el sur. Estamos metidos en la Sierra de la Capelada, acabamos de pasar por esa cantera de dunita y estamos aquí inmensos en estos... en estas vaguadas tremendas que hay, estos regos en esta zona. Y que bueno, coges esa pista asfaltada que te va llevando por cierto entre mamoas, es decir, entre mamoas e incluso hay algún castro en la zona. O sea que es una zona que siempre estuvo habitada por el ser humano y nos vamos acercando, como punto de referencia, ese punto alto que además tiene un montón de antenas encima, tiene un montón de repetidores, con lo cual pues tampoco tenemos mucha pérdida. Y además encima al llegar allí lo que tenemos pues es un área recreativa de estas tipo merendero, con mesas y demás. Con lo cual pues... a ver, estos días con lo que llueve a lo mejor no es la mejor recomendación, pero la gente que se lo apunte en el podcast y desde luego cuando empiece a despejar un poquito el tiempo es lo que dices tú: la vista es interminable. Isidoro Valerio: Interminable, porque es una vista 360 grados, se ve... bueno, yo la verdad que estoy alucinando porque no sabía de este lugar, pero se ve desde a Serra da Capelada, el puerto de Cariño que queda allí justo como... como si tiras una piedra y cae yo creo que en el puerto, ¿no? Estaca de Bares, el puerto de Espasante, incluso Ortigueira, ¿no? Que lo vemos... lo vemos todo pero con una claridad... Hay que decir que las fotos que luego compartiremos supongo que están hechas en verano, ¿no? Xan Ramírez: Sí, en estos días creo que no hay esa... Porque además, sabes que en la Capelada se mete ese... ese neboeiro, lo que le llaman "o vento da Capelada" y realmente pues se pone aquello horrible y no hay quien aguante porque además encima es un sitio tremendamente frío; al estar tan pegado al mar la humedad te corroe. Y pero sí, o sea, las fotos que adjuntamos ahí a las redes sociales de Radio Voz pues están hechas... bueno, cualquier día de primavera o cualquier día de otoño también pueden ser, evidentemente. Pero la vista es la que dices tú, ¿eh? O sea, estamos colgados justo encima de Cariño, justo encima de ese... de esa zona de A Pedra. Vamos a tener, si miramos hacia Cariño, hacia nuestra espalda vamos a tener todos esos parques eólicos de la Sierra de la Capelada con la Garita de Herbeira justo detrás de nosotros. Hacia el sur vamos a tener toda esa zona de Campo do Hospital que va hacia allá y la zona... hay otra zona también de mirador, bueno no es tanto mirador pero también es una altura, que son "Os Penedos", que también se ve... se los vamos a ver, es uno... unos penedos grandes que hay en esa zona de la Capelada que están más hacia la zona de San Adrián de Veiga, más hacia la zona de Mera. Y luego hacia el norte desde luego tenemos todo el Cabo Ortegal, o sea es una auténtica barbaridad. Que por cierto, si en el cruce ese, en vez de desviarnos para aquí, nos hubiésemos desviado hacia el otro lado, hay una pista de tierra que se mete hacia la costa, es un poquito más ya... más complicada, esa sí que habría que caminar, se puede dejar... se puede ir por tierra hasta un curro que hay allí, una especie de curro para meter el ganado, pero que sales justo al lado contrario de este mirador de Miranda que estamos contando. Estaríamos en los cantiles de Olimo, de toda esta zona del Cabo Ortegal que es Olimo, y que bueno, alucinas también, ¿eh? De pasar alguna foto porque tanto para la derecha como para la izquierda tenemos todos esos farallones del Cabo Ortegal que... que bueno, estás ahí también estás allí cortado a pico sobre el mar en esta parte del Atlántico y alucinas por colores. O sea que es que podemos hacer un día que haga bueno, podemos hacer un entero incluso para pasear con críos y demás que sin problema ninguno quedando alucinaditos con lo que tenemos por allí. [04:39 - 05:05] Closing and Wrap-up Isidoro Valerio: Bueno, terminamos... terminamos ya. He estado, mientras contabas todo esto, leyendo un poquito comentarios que hay en redes acerca del Mirador da Miranda y algo en lo que coincide mucha gente es que la carretera es muy estrecha y está llena de baches. Yo no sé si tú has ido recientemente y esto es así, pero bueno, lo advertimos por si acaso. No creo que sea esta la mejor época para subir allí, ¿eh? Xan Ramírez: Eh... no, evidentemente ya lo decíamos. A ver, carreteras estrechas, ya dijimos que era una pista asfaltada como todas estas que hay por la zona de la Capelada. Todas las carreteras... A ver, también es cierto que la gente que sube a estos sitios es gente tirando un poquito a dominguera... lo de las carreteras estrechas a los que tenemos una conducción en ese tipo de sitios no se nos hace un poquito igual. Y que esté lleno de baches pues ya sabes que depende de cuándo sean las elecciones. Isidoro Valerio: Bueno, pues listo. Ahí queda la recomendación. El que la quiera tomar, que la tome y el que no, pues que se lo pierde. Mirador da Miranda en Cariño, nuestra recomendación de esta semana. Comenzamos recordando al cantante Celio González. Junto al Conjunto "Jóvenes del Cayo", el Conjunto del pianista Luis Santi y el Conjunto "Casino" ganó prestigio en el ambiente musical de los primeros años 50. En 1955 paso a integrar la delantera vocal del conjunto "Sonora Matancera" en la cual se mantuvo hasta comienzos de los años 60. A continuación la sonoridad de los jazz bands cubanos a través de tres obras del gran Bebo Valdés. La orquesta "Riverside", bajo la conducción del saxofonista Pedro Vila, nos trae de vuelta las antiguas emisiones de la CMQ RadioCentro y las producciones de la etiqueta independiente "Puchito" de mediados de los años 50. Los títulos: "Ritmando chachachá", "Güempa" y "Oye como gozo mama". De La Habana a Nueva York nos vamos con el son capetillo del tresero Arsenio Rodríguez. Presencia del conjunto sonero cubano en la banda sonora de la gran ciudad gracias al talento del ciego maravilloso. If you don't like it, the road works two ways. "Fine! I'm outa here!" She said stomping off toward the jeep. She climbed into the front seat and turned the key, the jeep lurching forward before coming to a stop again. "What's wrong with this thing?" "It's a stick shift." I said with a frown as I turned and walked back into the cabin. "Okay. So I don't know how to make it work," she said quietly as she came in and closed the door quietly behind herself. "Not surprised. Come eat." I said, dishing some chili from the pot on the stove into two bowls. I was starved, having not gotten any lunch and it was already half way to dinner. I sat down and dug into my bowl, ignoring her. She slipped gently into the seat across from me and meekly apologized. "I'm sorry," she said barely above a whisper. "Forgiven." I said simply, pushing a bowl of chili across the table toward her. "Better eat." She looked at the bowl cautiously. "Is it organic?" "Nope. Just plain cow and beans and spices." I answered. "I don't eat much meat," she said quietly, looking at the bowl as if it might bite her. "Well, then you're probably going to be hungry a lot of the time, because I didn't bring a whole lot of vegetables and crap like that." I said, reaching out to hand her a spoon. She took the spoon and gingerly scooped a small bite from the bowl, lifting it to her lips and tentatively tasting it. A few moments later the spoon was emptied and headed back for another trip. "This is good," she said with a little surprise in her voice. "Thank you." "You made it?" "Uh huh." "I didn't know you could cook." "You never asked." I answered with a shrug. "I don't know how," she said quietly. "Guess you're going to have to learn." I answered her, looking at her face pointed down at the bowl almost as if she were ashamed to admit she couldn't cook. "Not to worry. I won't let you starve. Eat up now. Maybe I'll teach you how to fish." She looked up at me curiously and then back down at the bowl, scooping another spoon of chili. "Adam. Why are you doing this?" "Doing what?" I asked between bites. "This. Here. Me?" I sighed and leaned back in my chair. "As a favor to Amy." "You like her, don't you?" "Yeah. She's nice. Not interested in me, but nice just the same." "She might be interested in you. She talks about you. I've heard her say your name when she comes." I looked at her in surprise. "Huh? She does what?" I shook my head, leaned over my bowl and finished the last few bites. I cleaned up both our dishes, put the food in what served as a refrigerator in the small cabin, and then dug into my gear, pulling on some shorts and a shirt and then getting out my fishing gear. It took me about ten minutes to get my rods put together, threaded and my artificial baits organized to go fish. I saw her sitting on the shore, still naked, looking out at the lake as I walked to the little boat. I flipped it over, put the little electric motor and the oars in the boat and then went back to the cabin for the battery. I lugged the fifty plus pound battery out to the boat, settled it into the back and then attached the cables. She was still sitting against the tree as I pushed off and headed out onto the lake to fish. It was dark by the time I came in. The moon was already up, and while not full, it provided plenty of light for me to make it to shore and then to the cabin. I pulled the lantern down from the hook on the porch, pumped it up, having checked to be sure it had fuel in it before I left. I held the lighter to the hole in the side of the lantern and it puffed to life, the yellow flame quickly changing to blue and then bright white as the mantel did its job converting the gas flame into a more refined reaction. I picked up the lantern and walked into the cabin, the light filling the small cabin and illuminating Kim sitting in one of the three chairs in the room, wrapped in a blanket, her knees pulled up to her chest with the blanket wrapped around herself. "You're back," she said barely above a whisper. "Uh huh. You could have lit a lantern." I told her. “The lone skylight I installed over the table had ceased to illuminate anything, this late in the day. "I didn't know how," she said with a frown on her face. I said, stepping to the fireplace and pulling open a box of wooden matches, sitting on the mantle. “Gawd, this fur rug is huge! What animal was it,” she asked. That’s Uri. He’s the grizzly whom my dad met outside the cabin, one morning. He stood about 15 feet tall, when Dad dropped him 10 feet from the door, with a rifle bullet to the heart. We skinned him and stretched the hide. The meat was rather tough, but we quartered his carcus and took him to the meat market It’s a nice cozy rug when you’re cold and trying to warm up in front of the fireplace. I set the lamp on the table by the lantern and took the glass globe off, striking the match and touched it to the wide wick. The flame slowly grew and threw light of its own, though dwarfed by the bright gas lantern. "I have to deal with my fish. You can come outside if you want. If not, you at least have some light." "You caught some?" "A few." I answered as I turned and walked out of the cabin with the lantern. She followed behind, wrapped in the blanket and followed me to the boat and then to the metal-covered table, screwed down to one side of the end of the dock. "So that's what this is for?" She asked as I laid the three fish on the table to clean them. "Yep." I said as I used my pocket knife to cut the lower jaw and the belly, pulling the guts out and tossing it into the water by the dock. It only took a few short minutes to completely clean and rinse the three rainbow trout that I had caught. "Breakfast." I said, holding up the three fish in one hand and picking up the lantern with the other. "So what now?" Kim asked as she followed me into the cabin, closing the door behind us. "Well. Usually I'd just go to bed." I answered as I put the fish in the ice box and set the lantern on the counter. "So early?" "It's probably past eight." I said with a shrug. "Are you hungry?" "I snacked on some crackers, but I wouldn't mind something," she answered meekly. "I would have made something, but I didn't know how to make the stove work. I turned the knobs but the flames never came on." "Yeah, gotta light it with a match." I told her as I walked back to the icebox and pulled a Ziploc bag out. I walked to the stove and lit two burners, dug out two cast iron pans and put them on the flames. I dug in my food box for a container of oil and poured some in each pan. Putting away the oil I pulled out two large potatoes and quickly sliced them, dropping the white slices into one of the pans and then laid two marinated chicken breasts from the Ziploc into the other pan. It only took a few minutes to cook the potatoes and chicken breasts, ladling the fried food onto two plates. I set the pans aside to let the oil cool and then set the plates on the table. "Might as well come eat." I said as she stood near the wall watching me. "I'm not supposed to make you cook for me," she said quietly. "I know. But I did. So come eat." She walked to the table and sat down, carefully taking a few bites of the food. "Damn this is good," she mumbled as she began eating quickly. "I don't get much fried food. Not good for my figure, but this is so good." I chuckled. "Thanks." Kim was finished long before I was, and sat curled up in her blanket across from me, watching me eat. "Are you good at other things? Besides cooking and fishing and flying I mean?" "I think I'm pretty fair at a lot of things. What in particular are you asking about?" "I don't know. I mean most of the guys I know couldn't figure out which end of a fry pan to hold, let alone cook something good like this. But it seems like you know how to do everything you try. I mean you drove that jeep up here, you know how to fish, it's like you're a mountain man on steroids, or something." I laughed quietly. "No. Just learned when I was young how to camp and handle myself in the woods. Come on. We'll go get water and I'll show you how to be Jane of the jungle. You can do the dishes." "Sounds fair," she said, getting up and standing expectantly next to the table. "Here." I said handing her a plastic bucket. "We have to get water." I picked up the lantern and walked out of the cabin with her following behind. She followed me to the dock and dipped the bucket into the water. I smiled to myself as she struggled to carry the bucket and hold the blanket, but didn't offer to take it for her. I showed her where the big pot was, and let her fill it with her bucket and start it heating. We both sat in the chairs, waiting for the water to heat on the gas stove. She got up, walked to one of her suitcases, sitting against the wall and open, pulled out a rather slinky looking robe and slipped it over her still naked body. "Use another pot to scoop water out into the wash pan. You want to save some of that water to wash yourself with." "Wash myself?" "Yeah. Unless you want to wash in the lake." I chuckled. "Oh. Hadn't thought of that," she said as she headed for the sink. I took the blanket and threw it back on the bed, stripped my clothes off and climbed into bed, in the corner. "I'll go to sleep if you want some privacy to clean up. Just make sure to shut the lantern all the way off before you come to bed. I'd hate to waste the fuel, there's only so much." "Okay," she said quietly. "Adam?" "Yeah?" I answered without looking over at her. "Thank you." "For what?" "Being different," she said, as if that explained it all. I was still awake almost half an hour later when the cabin went dark. Kim climbed into bed with me, smelling of flowers as she slipped under the blanket with me, her back bumping against my back as she climbed into the full size bed. "It is small, isn't it?" "Uh huh. Cozy for two." I answered her. "I don't mind," she whispered. "Do you always sleep like that?" "Like what?" "Naked." "Yeah, actually." I answered in a whisper. "I don't have to, if it bothers you." "No. Not if it's how you usually sleep." "Okay." I answered sleepily. "Go to sleep now." I woke up with the sun, not completely surprised to be spooned up against Kim. I said as I pulled another pan from the cabinet and lit another burner. I spooned a couple teaspoons of hot oil into the other pan before laying the two of the fish from last night into the hot oil. The fish sizzled and spit in the pan as it cooked, the skin crisping in the hot oil as the fish cooked through. I flipped it over after a few minutes to let the other side cook and then cracked some eggs in the second pan. In only a few minutes I had two plates of breakfast ready to eat, fresh fish and eggs. Couldn't ask for a better breakfast in the woods. "When you wash the dishes, don't use soap in the cast iron. It'll ruin it." I told her before I got up to head out of the cabin. I loved fishing early in the morning. Working a small fly along the weed banks on the far end of the lake where the four small springs trickled into the lake was one of my favorite spots on this lake. The rainbow trout came up from the cold deep waters to feast on the small bugs and minnows that inhabit the weeds, making my flies an inviting target of opportunity. By lunchtime I had six nice fish on the stringer and was ready to head back into camp. Even from half way across the small lake it was obvious to me that Kim was waiting along the lakeshore. Tu nombre ya no es más el nombre que tenías antes de que nacieras de nuevo. Te deshiciste del primer nombre cuando celebraste el pacto con Jesucristo. Para apreciar completamente lo que ese cambio significa, tienes que pensarlo a la luz de lo que sabemos del pacto de sangre. Cuando alguien hace un pacto de sangre, se entrega por completo, deja de ser dueño de sí mismo. Y sus posesiones y deudas, así como sus virtudes y defectos, le pertenecen para siempre a la persona (hermano de sangre) con quien hace el pacto. Cuando estableces un pacto de sangre con alguien, adquieres el nombre de esa persona; éste se convierte en tu nombre para siempre. No puedes escaparle―bueno o malo―es tuyo. Cuando recibiste a Jesucristo como Señor y Salvador, Él tomó tu nombre; el cual era pecado, debilidad, temor, pobreza y todo lo que heredaste de Adán. Jesús te quitó esos nombres y te dio Su Nombre a cambio. ¡Eso es cierto! En Efesios 3:15, dice que todo el Cuerpo de Cristo ha sido llamado en el en el cielo y en la Tierra. Eso significa que ahora tienes el nombre de Jesús y la autoridad que conlleva ese nombre. Tan solo piensa de quién has tomado tu nombre nuevo: Jesús, Dios Fuerte, Sabiduría, Libertador, León de la tribu de Judá, Palabra de Vida, Abogado, Proveedor, Yo Soy, Consolador, Salvador, Príncipe de Paz, Admirable, Consejero, Cordero de Dios, Jehová de los ejércitos, Raíz de David, Autor y Consumador de nuestra fe, Camino, Sanador, Hijo de Dios, Verdad, Piedra angular, Rey de reyes, Luz del mundo, Gran Pastor, mi Fortaleza y mi Canto, Juez Justo, Sol de Justicia, Resurrección y Vida, Alfa y Omega. ¡Alabado sea Dios! Esos nombres abarcan toda necesidad que puedas tener, y el poder de Dios se encuentra en el Nombre de Jesús para hacer de ese nombre una realidad en tu vida (Hechos 3:16). Ya no puedes llamarte a ti mismo "desanimado". No debes responder cuando el diablo te diga: "Oye, pobre hombre"; ése no es tu nombre. Jesús te ha despojado de esos antiguos nombres. Medita en los nombres del Señor; todos y cada uno de ellos están incluidos en el nombre de Jesús, el Nombre sobre todo nombre, y a ti te ha sido dado ese nombre ¡con todo el poder y la autoridad que éste conlleva! En esta charla, la gran pintora e historiadora Beatriz González Aranda repasará la estética humboldtiana del paisaje, con un análisis de Humboldt y el paisaje colombiano del siglo XIX, los apuntes del viajero, las versiones elaboradas luego por destacados pintores y grabadores, la presencia de lo pintoresco y del paisaje heroico que Humboldt consideró importantes, más allá de la observación científica. Veremos la influencia de Humboldt entre los pintores, algunos de los cuales recibieron instrucciones directas de él o ilustraron importantes crónicas científicas para los periódicos. No te pierdas esta narración privilegiada en la que González reconstruye la red de artistas que convirtieron las observaciones de Humboldt en imágenes: desde Joseph Anton Koch y sus paisajes “heroicos”, poblados por hombres de “pocas necesidades y nobles principios”, hasta los viajeros pintores que siguieron instrucciones para representar el paso del Quindío, el Salto del Tequendama o los precipicios andinos. El himno interpretado por el grupo de Infantería de Marina, mientras se desplegaba una bandera gigante de España en el Bernabéu, con imágenes de la UME dejándose la piel durante la dana o durante los incendios que sufrimos el pasado verano, ¿no? Mira, bienvenido sea el homenaje cuando es merecido, como es el caso, aunque a veces tenga que venir de otro que nos recuerda que, mira, defectos tenemos todos, pero que hay cosas intocables por las que sentirnos orgullosos. Poco queda por decir del gran Beny Moré. Una de las voces eternas de la música popular cubana. Con un grupo de grabaciones lo recordamos con la banda que fundó en La Habana en agosto de 1953. Seguidamente una cápsula "lunática" con la Orquesta Aragón, el Conjunto Casino y la Sonora Matancera. Las piezas: "Oye, me voy para la luna", "Luna cienfueguera" y "Luna yumurina" fueron éxitos editados por las etiquetas RCA Víctor, Maype y Seeco, respectivamente. Los tesoros de la banda sonora cubana los reservamos aquí para ti. Volvemos a la sonoridad de la charanga eterna: la "Aragón" justo para recordar a su cantante Pepe Olmo. Ajustado bolerista, así lo queremos recordar. El flautista, arreglista y compositor José Antonio Fajardo ocupará los siguientes minutos del programa con una vieja creación: el "faji mambo". Notable instrumentista incidió positivamente en la evolución de las charangas cubanas. Radicado en el Nueva York de los primeros años 60, se integró activamente al movimiento artístico musical latino de la gran ciudad. El sabor del Conjunto "Estrellas de Chocolate" con su cantantes Arístides Balmaseda, Filiberto y el Chino Lahera, nos permitirá despedirnos. Columbié al piano, Niño Rivera en el tres.

Leopoldo Fernández y Aníbal de Mar en las pieles de sus famosos personajes "Pototo y Filomeno", con el apoyo de la orquesta "Melodías del 40" del maestro Regino Frontela Fraga, comenzaron el programa con el son montuno de Félix Cárdenas: "Yo pico un pan". Grabación producida por la etiqueta "Puchito" hacia 1955. Muy a propósito del aniversario 113 de este compositor, tresero y guitarrista matancero, será un gusto retomar algo de su riquísima producción autoral. "Quiero un sombrero", otra de sus composiciones, llega a la manera del gran Orlando Guerra "Cascarita". Lo acompañan en esta grabación registrada a mediados de los 40 por RCA Víctor, la orquesta "Casino de la Playa" con un descollante Pérez Prado al piano. La señal de la antigua CMQ de Monte y Prado, foco artístico importante de La Habana allá por 1945, nos trajo la sonoridad de la veterana jazz band "Hermanos Castro" con su cantante Orlando Planas. "Revoltillo", guaracha de Félix Cárdenas, antecede a otro de sus éxitos de esos años: "El cuento del sapo", un son montuno que grabó con la orquesta del trompetista Julio Cueva otro olvidado cantante cubano: Reinaldo Valdés "el jabao". Desde el son al guaguancó, la guaracha, el montuno y el bolero, entre otros tantos géneros, el legado de Félix Cárdenas indiscutiblemente contribuyó a la evolución de la música popular. Nació en Matanzas el 6 de noviembre de 1912, y la mejor manera de celebrar su vida y obra es escuchando algunas de sus creaciones. "Ya Mantilla se botó", un guaguancó de Félix Cárdenas a la manera de Faz, Espí y Vallejo con el Conjunto Casino de 1952. Despedimos este breve segmento con el bolero "Oye una canción para tí" y el son montuno "A bailar monte adentro". Cantan Beny Moré y Juan Antonio Jo "El Fantasmita". Arribar a los 95 años con la increíble lucidez vocal de Omara Portuondo, es sin lugar a dudas, una suerte inmensa para la cultura cubana. Seguidamente una selección de grabaciones históricas nos permitirán celebrar la respetable carrera de "La Novia del Feeling". Así volverá a deleitarnos aquella simpática mulata que, finalizando los años 40, iluminó los escenarios integrando los fabulosos cuartetos "Loquibambia" de Frank Emilio, y los de los también pianistas y compositores Orlando de la Rosa y Aida Diestro. La voz del feeling que, luego de 50 años en los escenarios, como parte del proyecto "Buenavista Social Club" logró darle un nuevo y definitivo aire a su ya extensa trayectoria, volviendo a los clásicos cubanos. Con cuatro piezas, que igualmente representan importantes momentos de su carrera como solista, celebramos los 95 de Omara: "Llanto de luna" de Julio Gutiérrez; "Nada para ti" de Enrique Jorrin; "Como un milagro" de Juanito Márquez y "No me vayas a engañar" de Osvaldo Farrés. De Artemisa para el mundo. El 6 noviembre de 1949, hace 76 años nació Arturo Sandoval, una de las grandes leyendas de la música popular y el jazz cubanos. En esta última categoría, muy especialmente, no ha dejado de destacar este valioso músico. Sincronía de alma y grandeza su encuentro con el gran Dizzy Gillespie, así como la conjunción con otros importantes músicos de su generación que luego de integrar la Orquesta de Música Moderna en 1967, cinco años más tarde diera paso a la aparición de la banda más influyente de los últimos tiempos: "Irakere". Multifacético e incombustible, ha dejado una copiosa discografia en la que maravillosamente ha reflejado su virtuosismo así como el infinito caudal de referentes de la música clásica, lo popular y bailable cubano, y el jazz norteamericano.   «No se engañen. Dios no puede ser burlado. Todo lo que el hombre siembre, eso también cosechará» (Gálatas 6:7) Si te sientes bajo presión, recuerda que no eres el único. Satanás está presionando a más personas ahora que en cualquier otro tiempo. Nos está presionando de toda forma posible: mental, económica y emocionalmente. Existe tanta presión en todas partes que los gobiernos, las empresas y compañías no saben qué hacer. Las familias y las iglesias tampoco lo saben. Pero, alabado sea Dios, ¡Jesús sí sabe! Él dice que dar puede librarnos de cualquier presión que el diablo esté poniendo sobre nosotros. El dar es siempre la salida de Jesús. Siempre que hay una necesidad, Él siembra algo. En Marcos 4 Jesús dice que el reino de Dios es semejante a una semilla. Piensa por un momento en la importancia de las semillas. Todo ser viviente en esta Tierra proviene de una semilla. Tú viniste de una semilla. Después, volviste a nacer de nuevo de la semilla de la Palabra de Dios. Jesús mismo fue la semilla sembrada por Dios. El Señor lo sembró en sacrificio, y luego al resucitarlo, se multiplicó en muchos hermanos. Cuando Satanás te presione, acude a Jesús para que Él te diga cómo y dónde sembrar. Si sigues las instrucciones, esa semilla crecerá hasta que rompa el poder de las tinieblas y de la necesidad, y te librará de la presión que el diablo ha estado ejerciendo sobre ti. He visto esto en la práctica. Cuando Jerry Savelle comenzó a trabajar en mi ministerio, lo único que tenía era un traje, una camisa y un pantalón. Él se ponía el traje una noche, y el pantalón y la camisa la noche siguiente, y así alternaba su atuendo noche tras noche en todas las reuniones que teníamos. Él no tenía dinero para comprar otro traje. ¡Podríamos decir que estaba bajo presión en esa área! Un día, Jerry oyó del principio de la siembra de fe y la cosecha. Se fue al centro de la ciudad donde estábamos teniendo una campaña, buscó a un hombre pobre en la calle y le regaló ropa. De inmediato, la gente empezó a regalarle ropa a Jerry. Todo empezó en esa campaña y han estado haciéndolo desde entonces. Hoy en día, hay muchos pastores en África que llevan puestos los trajes de Jerry Savelle (aunque las mangas y los pantalones les queden muy cortos). Jerry sigue sembrando y recibiendo la cosecha de ropa más grande que yo jamás haya visto. Si el diablo te está presionando, no entres en pánico… por el contrario, ¡siembra! Siembra tu tiempo. Siembra tu dinero. Siembra la ropa que llevas puesta. Y después que Jetro oyó hablar de la maravillosa liberación de los israelitas de Egipto, visitó a Moisés en el desierto, y le llevó su esposa y sus hijos. "Y Moisés salió a recibir a su suegro, y se inclinó, y lo besó; y se preguntaron el uno al otro, cómo estaban, y vinieron a la tienda, y Moisés contó a su suegro todas las cosas que Jehová había hecho a Faraón y a los egipcios por amor de Israel, y todo el trabajo que habían pasado en el camino, y cómo los había librado Jehová. "Y se alegró Jetro de todo el bien que Jehová había hecho a Israel, al haberlo librado de mano de los egipcios. Y Jetro dijo: Bendito sea Jehová, que os libró de manos de los egipcios y de la mano de Faraón, y que libró al pueblo de la mano de los egipcios. Y tomó Jetro, suegro de Moisés, holocaustos y sacrificios para Dios; y vino [vinieron] Aarón y todos los ancianos de Israel para comer con el suegro de Moisés delante de Dios". Gracias a su perspicacia Jetro pronto se dio cuenta que las cargas que recaían sobre Moisés eran demasiado grandes, puesto que la gente le traía todos sus problemas, y él los instruía con respecto a los estatutos y a la ley de Dios. Dijo a Moisés: "Oye ahora mi voz; yo te aconsejaré, y Dios estará contigo. Está por el pueblo delante de Dios, y somete tú los asuntos a Dios. Y enseña a ellos las ordenanzas y las leyes, y muéstrales el camino por donde deben andar, y lo que han de hacer. Además, escoge tú de entre todo el pueblo varones de virtud, temerosos de Dios, varones de verdad, que aborrezcan la avaricia; y ponlos sobre el pueblo por jefes de millares, de centenas, de cincuenta y de diez. Ellos juzgarán al pueblo en todo tiempo; y todo asunto grave lo traerán a ti, y ellos juzgarán todo asunto pequeño. Así aliviarás la carga de sobre ti, y la llevarán ellos contigo. Y despidió Moisés a su suegro, y este se fue a su tierra" Moisés no estaba fuera del alcance de las instrucciones de su suegro. Dios lo había exaltado mucho y había obrado maravillas por medio de su mano. Sin embargo no adujo que Dios lo había escogido para instruir a otros, que había realizado maravillas por su intermedio, y que por lo tanto no necesitaba que nadie lo instruyera. Escuchó de buen grado las sugerencias de su suegro, y adoptó su plan puesto que era sabio (La historia de la redención, pp. 138-139). 

Se fue julio y algunos están diciendo:“Este año no hubo vacaciones”    En el proceso de  planificar  las finanzas personales de mis clientes, he visto, cómo en algunos presupuestos al momento presente, las vacaciones no deberían estar en la lista inmediata de metas, aunque sí pueden estar a largo plazo.Hola! Mi nombre es Mabel y si esta es la primera vez que me escuchas, gestiono la planificación financiera, los ahorros, seguro de vida y cuentas de retiro a familias puertorriqueñas. Me radico en la Isla del Encanto, estoy autorizada con mi licencia del Comisionado de Seguros de PR y comencé este proyecto hace 3 años.    Quiero explicar esto  de las vacaciones con detalle porque ir de vacaciones es lo mejor que nos sucede cada año. Las vacaciones representan, un descanso, principalmente, que pudiste sacar un tiempo para salir de la rutina,  Significa que te das la oportunidad de descansar, de explorar cosas nuevas, que visitas alguna persona o lugar que te place y te renueva.  En vacaciones se puede reflexionar, despejar la mente y activar los procesos creativos. Son todas esas razones por las que estamos dispuestos a gastar lo que no tenemos para ir de vacaciones.  Oye y tampoco es que ese tiempo de vacaciones hay que tomarlo en verano obligatoriamente pero igual, el tema es si te las planificaste. Pero cuando las vacaciones no están presupuestadas, te crean un problema,  y digo…hay personas que viven diciendo el famoso refrán: “Sólo se vive una vez”  y es que por un lado, ven o quieren ver con indiferencia el endeudamiento y por el otro quieren tener ese espacio para escapar.   Levanten la mano por favor, los que se sienten identificados hasta aquí. Yo levanto la mía, Sin juicios…  Mira tu realidad.   Ahora! Si me escuchas hace un tiempo, debes saber que es momento de organizar desde hoy, esos gastos de consumo para tener el privilegio y la oportunidad de disfrutar de vacaciones el próximo año; ya sea que quieres sacar ese tiempo en unas vacaciones de forma económica, digamos que puede ser, a quedarte local, hacer roadtrip a un pueblo con costa o a una vibrante ciudad cercana, quedarte allí un par de noches, comer rico y regresar.  O ya sea que, quieres visitar otro país, con todo lo que eso conlleva.   Quise grabar este episodio inspirada en una familia que visite esta semana en donde me dicen que van de vacaciones y también me dicen que no tiene deudas…, bien, pues cuando entramos más profundo en la conversación me dicen también que poseen 5 tarjetas de crédito a las que le pagan el mínimo cada mes. Pues, ¿se podrán imaginar cómo quedé? Más aún, porque es que no son los primeros que me topo con el tema de “No tengo deudas”. Tengo episodios aquí en donde tu puedes aprender como bajar esas deudas de consumo, tengo episodios en los que repito y repito la importancia del ahorro, de estar enfocado en esa meta de saldar para ahorrar y moverte hacia adelante.
