We've hit the 300 mark on 3PP, pretty crazy, but we are thankful for all the support! On this week's podcast in the Prep Spotlight we wanted to have a couple area coaches on, Matt Weigl from Chesaning and Tim Beebe from Laingsburg to talk about their boys hoops teams' seasons and making a run to Breslin in March. Also, listeners of our podcast know we love our alma mater Corunna, and this weekend our own Ted Fattal was honored at an event hosted by the Corunna Athletic Club as the school's first Golden Alumni. We recap the first class event and plenty more on Ep. 300, take a listen and hit us up @3pointpod! Montserrat is a culturally important place with a lot of stories. This episode focuses on three to show its importance as a religious center, as a strategic military location, and finally, as a place that has been home to political protest. In July 1588 the Spanish Armada sailed from Corunna to conquer England. Three weeks later an English fireship attack in the Channel—and then a fierce naval battle—foiled the planned invasion. Many myths still surround these events. The genius of Sir Francis Drake is exalted, while Spain's efforts are belittled. But what really happened during that fateful encounter? For this episode of the podcast, Dan welcomes back distinguished professor and historian, Geoffrey Parker. They deconstruct the many legends to reveal why, ultimately, the bold Spanish mission failed.‘Armada. The Spanish Enterprise and England's Deliverance in 1588' will be published in October 2022.Produced by Hannah WardMixed and Mastered by Dougal Patmore See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
