Jonathan Gertman Leads The NRP Group's New York City office, originating and overseeing market rate and affordable development. He is responsible for the company's development efforts in New York City, Westchester, Long Island, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Prior to joining NRP, Mr. Gertman worked in New York for Forest City Realty Trust. At Forest City he originated and managed multifamily and mixed-use projects in Philadelphia, New Jersey, Westchester, New York and Connecticut. In that role he worked on the development of 980 units of luxury multifamily housing and ancillary retail. Mr. Gertman started his career with NRP in the San Antonio office, where he was involved with the origination of 900 units of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit projects. He was responsible for the inception of NRP's New York City office in 2016. He is a graduate from the University of Pennsylvania, from which he holds a degree in Urban Studies with a minor in Urban Real Estate from the Wharton School of Business. Mr. Gertman is committed to giving back to the ommunity. He has served as a past president of the Young Leadership division of the Jewish National Fund, sits on the Young Leadership board of the Conference of Presidents in New York, and is a member of the board of the Enterprise Community Partners Gotham Society as well as Neighbors Together, a Brooklyn based food bank.
