Ep 15 | Monday Message With Frantzces The Beauty Of Perspectives

Play Episode Listen Later Apr 27, 2020 7:00

Perspectives help us to reframe the challenges in our lives. It's the subtle shift in perspective that allows us to understand what's happening in the world around us. It's a conscious decision that we must decide to make. It's times like this that urges us to change our perspectives, to reframe how we used to look at things, and to reframe how we currently are looking at things. What other perspectives could we adopt during this critical time in our lives, so that it creates more healing?  It's the old adage that says two people could be standing in the rain and one person could be miserable while the other person is beaming with gratitude. One person is upset that it's raining while the other person, is grateful the Earth is being watered. Everything is a matter of perspective. In which ways could you alter your perspective in ways that empower you versus it disempowering you? This takes a bit of practice and once you begin it will seep into our subconscious. Once that happens, our worldviews will ultimately change. Ps: Join Frantzces’ coaching program The Liberated Creative: Own Your Time & Reignite Your Joy. The storms in our lives are seasonal. Some may think that storms come to disrupt our lives but really, storms come to do many things, such as clear our paths for deeper connection and clarity. Dr. Myles Munroe is a pastor and motivational speaker. Frantzces came across his sermon from 2011 about how to live above the storms of life and found it relevant to our current state of time.  Unfortunately, Dr. Munroe is no longer with us, but what he has left behind was this incredible passion for the human will. Frantzces shares key messages from the sermon. Understand that a storm is a metaphor for life’s unpredictable and sometimes hurtful nature.  Everyone faces a storm, a hardship and some kind of struggle, which is a common connection throughout humanity. But storms are seasonal. If we’re on top now, that’s a season, and if we’re at the bottom now, it’s also seasonal. In other words, it’s all temporary. No matter what we go through it can’t last, nothing remains the same. And the key is to outlast the season.  Ps: Join Frantzces' coaching program The Liberated Creative: Own Your Time & Reignite Your Joy. On today's Monday Message Frantzces talks about the phrase "I can't." It's a phrase that the minute you say it you cut your human potential the same way you cut a tree. You don't know your fullest potential until you find yourself living outside of your comfort zone on a regular basis. And remember your words are powerful, so the more you say it the more it becomes part of your value system. A part of the way you make decisions. It becomes a way of life. You have to teach yourself to stop saying I can't. You have to practice it so instead, I can, becomes a part of who you are. So, listen as Frantzces explains the impact of that phrase on our lives. There's this idea that being rejected by something or someone is a bad thing. In this Monday Message, Frantzces explores what this means. When we accept the story of rejection we create more suffering in our lives. It makes us feel unworthy when that indeed isn't the case. We often carry that story on with us for years to come when we're rejected. It goes as far as childhood and into adulthood. As a result, our relationships suffer and our purpose becomes mangled with despair. It's crucial to begin to reframe what this means for us in our lives. The sooner we accept the perspective that rejection is a gift, the quicker we can live beautiful and fulfilling lives. So tune in! Would you like to continue the conversation? Episode 136 | Monday Message With Frantzces Transforming Your Pain

When you're in a lot of pain it's kind of hard to think about how to transform it. Especially, if at first, you haven't accepted pain as part of the human experience. Pain is inevitable, however, suffering is optional, says the Buddhist quote. Suffering is the idea of prolonging a painful experience and holding on to it. But, by holding on to it for extended periods of time isn't useful. Elizabeth Gilbert says, "Never waste your suffering. If you don’t transform your pain, you’ve suffered for no reason." What does this mean? This quote encourages you to take a look at your pain through a different lens. A lens that helps you to manage and transform your pain in ways that are beneficial and useful. Pain is powerful because it creates wisdom and helps you to strengthen your resiliency. So as much as many of you want to eliminate it, that's not possible. As much as you want to ignore it, it'll still be felt. Knowing this to be the case, what are you going to do now? So tune in! Would you like to continue the conversation? Toxic work environments are a real thing. Are you in a toxic relationship with your job? If you're at a job that's causing you chronic stress then it's time to decide whether this is something you can continue doing. Chronic stress in your life causes a whole host of mental and physical health issues. Stop working in environments that don't value you. Stop working in environments that you don't feel safe enough to speak up. Stop working in environments where there is no trust. Did you know that levels of depression and anxiety among people who are unhappy at work were the same or greater than those who were unemployed? "Those who feel they have more control, who feel empowered to make decisions instead of waiting for approval, suffer less stress. Those only doing as they are told always forced to follow the rules are the ones who suffer the most. Our feelings of control, stress, and our ability to perform at our best are all directly tied to how safe we feel in our organizations." Simon Sinek So tune in!
