Walking Toward Christ: Protecting Ourselves from the Enemy's Deception | Ephesians 4 Discover how to stay on the path toward Christ in a world full of deception. This powerful message from Ephesians 4 reveals the enemy's most effective strategies and how believers can protect themselves and each other. Paul describes the Christian journey as walking directly toward Christ, with two key practices that keep us protected: speaking truth in love and serving one another as a unified body. Learn why pastors are called to equip believers rather than do all the ministry themselves, and how this biblical model strengthens the entire church. The enemy's tactics haven't changed since the Garden of Eden. His most brilliant deception? Convincing Christians that God is cheating them out of something better by following His commands. This lie manifests in countless ways—from avoiding tithing to ignoring biblical relationship guidelines—all based on the flawed premise that personal happiness trumps scriptural commands. This message includes a compelling real-life example of intervention, showing both the power and limitations of speaking truth to those who are drifting. You'll learn practical applications for identifying areas where you might be believing the enemy's lies and how to build relationships that keep you accountable. Whether you're struggling with temptation, trying to help someone who's drifting, or simply wanting to strengthen your spiritual walk, this message offers biblical wisdom for the journey. Remember: none of us can walk the Christian life alone—we need each other to stay on course toward Christ. Key Verses · Ephesians 4:15-16 · 1 Peter 5:8 · Genesis 3:4-5 · Romans 8:26-28

Death is the universal human experience that raises profound questions about what lies beyond. While philosophers and religious leaders throughout history have offered various perspectives on the afterlife, Christianity presents a unique answer through Jesus Christ, who boldly declared, 'I am the resurrection and the life.' This powerful exploration of John 11 examines the story of Lazarus, who had been dead four days when Jesus arrived in Bethany. Through this miraculous account, we discover what makes Christianity fundamentally different from other faith traditions—a God who sacrificed Himself to defeat death and offer eternal life to all who believe. Why did Jesus weep at Lazarus's tomb despite knowing He would raise him? What did He mean by claiming to be the resurrection itself rather than simply causing resurrection? How does Jesus's exclusive claim to be 'the way, the truth, and the life' challenge our modern pluralistic thinking? The Trinity's role in human salvation showcases a perfect divine plan that was established before creation. God the Father, in His infinite wisdom, chose to create beings with free will and provided a way for redemption, knowing humanity would need it. This demonstrates His incredible foresight and unconditional love for His creation. Jesus Christ, God the Son, fulfilled this plan through His death on the cross, experiencing four types of death that mirror our spiritual condition: separation from God, internal brokenness, broken relationships, and living in a fallen world. The Holy Spirit completes this divine work by convicting people of their need for salvation, enabling genuine faith, and sealing believers as God's possession. When someone accepts salvation, they receive immediate spiritual protection and the guarantee of complete future redemption. This salvation, once received, is eternally secure - marked by the Holy Spirit's seal and protected from internal spiritual attack. While believers may still struggle with sin, their eternal destiny remains secure through God's unchanging promise.

And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed. Then Moses said, “I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn.” So when the Lord saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, “Moses, Moses!” And he said, “Here I am.” Then He said, “Do not draw near this place. Take your sandals off your feet, for the place where you stand is holy ground.” Moreover He said, “I am the God of your father—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look upon God. And the Lord said: “I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows. So I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites. Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to Me, and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them. Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.”' Exodus 3:1-10

'Give ear to my prayer, O God, And do not hide Yourself from my supplication. Attend to me, and hear me; I am restless in my complaint, and moan noisily, Because of the voice of the enemy, Because of the oppression of the wicked; For they bring down trouble upon me, And in wrath they hate me. My heart is severely pained within me, And the terrors of death have fallen upon me. Fearfulness and trembling have come upon me, And horror has overwhelmed me. So I said, “Oh, that I had wings like a dove! I would fly away and be at rest. Indeed, I would wander far off, And remain in the wilderness. Selah I would hasten my escape From the windy storm and tempest.” As for me, I will call upon God, And the Lord shall save me. Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, And He shall hear my voice. He has redeemed my soul in peace from the battle that was against me, For there were many against me. Cast your burden on the Lord , And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.' Psalms 55:1-8,16-18,22

'And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others. But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.' Ephesians 2:1-10
