To Teach them what the Bible says about them and who they have been made to be in the promises of God's Word. This changed my life years ago and completely transformed me from a person full of doubt, fear and unbelief to a strong confident Christian that knows I can do anything through Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior. Your Faith Journey - Finding God Through Words, Song and Praise

Year C – Third Sunday in Lent – March 23, 2025 Pastor Megan Floyd Luke 13:1-9 Isaiah 55:1-13   Grace and peace to you from God, our Father, and from our Lord, Jesus Christ, who, together with the Holy Spirit, long for us to live fruitful lives full of abundance. Amen. *** I learned a long time ago that… I can't tell the difference between a trombone and a baritone… or an oboe and a clarinet. Now, if I'm looking at them, then yes, I can tell them apart and would even agree that they sound different… but the quality of their different sounds is not overly distinctive to my ear… so I struggle to tell them apart based on sound alone. It's just not something I have much experience with. I discovered this… tragic failing of mine back in college when I had some elective courses to fill, and I thought it would be fun to take …the History of Jazz. I thought I was taking a history class… I enjoy history… But it was not so… it was apparently a music class disguised as a history class. And I almost failed… A big part of the class involved listening to classic jazz pieces and identifying the parts of the music… not only the instrument but the artist… based on the way they were playing. I was way out of my league. But over the course of the semester, I was able to train my ear just enough to scoot by… and I also think the professor had mercy on me. I know there are people out there who are naturally gifted with hearing and can pick up on subtle differences in sound… but I think most of us have to be trained to do that… …and if we want to keep that skill and build on it, well… then we need to practice. It's very similar to our ability to recognize God's presence in our lives… and to truly listen to God's word in such a way that it shapes our lives toward fruitful living. We have to be taught… trained to recognize God through word and action… and we have to return to God every day… to practice. *** The prophet Isaiah tells us this week to “Seek the Lord while he may be found, call up him while he is near.” It's part of this beautiful invitation to come to the banquet… all who thirst… and all who hunger… Come! Eat and drink… it's all freely given, and it is so much better than the junk food you had before… the stuff that did not satisfy… come… and eat what is good! No one is turned away! The Lord is near… and wants you to truly live! This must have been incredible for the Israelites to hear… it was likely written around the time of Israel's return from the Babylonian exile, around 538 B.C.E. Can you imagine? Returning home after being exiled… returning to God after hardship and struggle… and hearing God's promise anew that God's love covers all. God proclaims… “Incline your ear, and come to me; listen, so that you may live.” Listen. Train your ear to hear… Listen to God's word… and hear the promise that is spoken over you. Listen… so that you may live! And to those who have wandered away… to those who have chosen or stumbled onto the wicked and unrighteous path… let them also listen… and hear God's promise… so that they might also return to God… and God will have abundant mercy on them. Listen… so that you may live! Your God, who loves you, wants you to have the fruitful and flourishing life that you were created to have… God wants your life… to bear good fruit… and through God's word, we are given all we need to achieve it. But we must listen… and return daily to God's word… to practice our hearing. *** There are just a few problems with all this… For starters, this open invitation to all is… well… pretty open… but we humans sure do like exclusivity… we like the V.I.P. treatment… so we struggle with the idea that everyone is invited to this banquet. Also, we like to think there is a hierarchy of sins… but that's our invention… God doesn't seem to play that way. God's offer of compassion and mercy doesn't seem to have the qualifiers that our human systems want to place around everything. And furthermore… sure… God wants us to live a fruitful life… but that's harder for some… for all sorts of reasons… with lots of stumbling along the way. Even if we ignore the fact that many of the struggles some people face are due to the sin of human systems that are designed to keep them down and struggling… Most human… societies or even families… eventually want to give up on those who struggle with bearing good fruit… And yet, like the fig tree in our Gospel passage from Luke 13, God seems determined to give us more chances… to give us more time… to nurture us, and help us grow… God is determined for us to train our ears to hear… to listen… so that we may return to our Lord and live the fruitful and flourishing lives God created us to live! God comes to us in our pain and our struggle… and says… have mercy… give it another year… let us nurture this beloved child and give her more time… Because… thankfully…mercifully…  God's thoughts are not our thoughts… and God's ways are not our ways. Through the prophet Isaiah, God declares that God's love will not be denied… no obstacle is greater than God's word! For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return there until they have watered the earth, making it bring forth and sprout… So shall my word be… it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and succeed in the thing for which I sent it. For you shall go out in joy, and be led back in peace! God is near to you now… and longs for you to incline your ear and listen to the promise found in God's word… to hear that word and repent, so you might return to the Lord, your God, every day. *** Both Isaiah and Luke emphasize the urgency of our repentance… but to be clear… this isn't a transactional experience… Repentance… returning our heart and mind to God… is not a quid-pro-quo… it is not a trade we make with God… we are not trading our remorseful apology for God's grace and forgiveness. Our repentance… is an act of faith… It's an acknowledgment of how much we need God's grace, and it communicates our trust that God hears us, knows us to our core, and still loves us. God offers us grace and forgiveness… and our repentance allows us to receive these gifts… receive them, but not hide them… God's gifts are meant to be shared. Our repentance is an act of faith that opens the way to a life that bears good fruit. …it acknowledges that when we return our hearts and minds to God, and truly listen to God's word with ears that are trained to hear… it will shape us… it will shift our hard-heartedness into compassion and patience… our cruelty into mercy and kindness… and our indifference into empathy and love. Compassion… patience… mercy… kindness… empathy… and love… are signs of a fruitful life… the kind of flourishing that God created us to live. *** But even if we are not quite there… even if we stumble and are not quite as compassionate or loving as we ought to be… God, who is near, tells us to practice our training. Give it a little more time… return to God now and incline your ear to God's word that guides us back to fruitful living. Don't wait until you have it perfect… don't wait until you think you are worthy… return now. God is not waiting for us to figure everything out… not waiting to bestow grace upon us until we have shed all questions and doubt. No… God is already here, speaking to us… speaking a word of light into our darkness… a word of love into our suffering… and so we train our ear to listen, to hear God's word. Like the talent of distinguishing a trombone from a baritone… we learn to distinguish God's word based on the good fruit it produces, both in us and through us. And we return to the Lord daily to be nourished by God's word… and trust that God's word, which is sent out with joy, will not return empty but will be led back in peace. Listen… so that you may live! Amen.

Today we read a most moving and personal prayer of David. It begins, “Incline your ear, O LORD, and answer me, for I am poor and needy. Preserve my life for I am godly.” [Psa. 86] Can we pray as David did? But in what sense are we poor and needy? Many might say this today, but not mean it in the sense we think David did, In his prayer he said, “O God, insolent men have risen up against me; a band of ruthless men seek my life, they do not set you before them.” [v.14]In this the experiences of “the son of David,” our Lord are parallel; we read today in Mark 14 of his arrest when Judas Iscariot, under the cloak of darkness, led “a crowd with swords and clubs” [v.43] in betraying him. The disciples fled, but the time was to come when their eyes were opened to the meaning of it all and their lack of faith was forgiven.It would be then that Psalms such as this one would be most meaningful to them – as they are, or should be, to us. “For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. Give ear, O LORD, to my prayer; listen to my plea for grace.” [v.5,6] Verse 11 has a special appeal, “Teach me your way O LORD, that I may walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear your name.”How often does our heart experience a sense of discord – the world's values and desires pull one way – and divine thoughts pull another! Tragically some give up reading the Bible to avoid feeling this discord.Does the Bible seem unreal in this modern world? Many have that feeling. Well, think, do the attitudes in the world seem real – in the sense of having a purpose and direction for the future? Paul wrote of the attitudes in his day, “ … they did not honour him as God, but became futile in their thinking and their foolish hearts were darkened.” [Rom. 1 v.21] In contrast, may we say with David, “I give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart …” [v.12]

Do You Have a Personal Relationship with God and Pray Directly to God, the Creator of the Universe, for the Needs of Others MESSAGE SUMMARY: Will you come before God with your prayers, and for whom will you pray? We can and should come before God on behalf ourselves and others -- intercessory prayer. You and I are given the privilege of following Moses' example when he prayed to God on behalf of his people in Psalms 102:1-2: “Hear my prayer, O LORD; let my cry come to you! Do not hide your face from me in the day of my distress! Incline your ear to me; answer me speedily in the day when I call!". Because of what Jesus has done for us, we can exercise this privilege of praying directly to God, the Creator of the Universe. You come before God by talking to Him with your prayers and in a personal relationship with Him. For whom and what do you pray?   TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord, I now take a deep breath and stop. I seek not a long life, but a full one, like you Lord Jesus - Jim Elliot John 4:14 But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.” Ephesians 3:17b - 19 NIV - And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord's holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. They sang and danced for joy with tambourines and cymbals. 7 This was their song: “Saul has killed his thousands and David his ten thousands!” LIDS Mark 6:1-3 - Jesus left that part of the country and returned with his disciples to Nazareth, his hometown. 2 The next Sabbath he began teaching in the synagogue, and many who heard him were amazed. They asked, “Where did he get all this wisdom and the power to perform such miracles?” 3 Then they scoffed, “He's just a carpenter, the son of Mary and the brother of James, Joseph, Judas, and Simon. Then I'll never be thirsty again, and I won't have to come here to get water.” 16 “Go and get your husband,” Jesus told her. 17 “I don't have a husband,” the woman replied. Jesus said, “You're right! You don't have a husband— 18 for you have had five husbands, and you aren't even married to the man you're living with now. You certainly spoke the truth!” Isaiah 55:1-3 ESV - “Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. 2 Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which does not satisfy? Offering Up Our Flesh (audio) David Eells 1/19/25 Bearing Our Cross Will Save Souls Sean Lynch - 07/01/2009 (David's notes in red) In a dream the Lord showed me about a coming crucifixion for the brethren. In the dream, I was in either a hotel or some type of big castle. During this dream, there were many events going on, but the Lord is only bringing certain things to my remembrance. In one of the events, I remember I was outside of the hotel and I heard a loudspeaker tuned to a secular radio station and I heard David's voice. He was preaching the gospel to the world. I thought this was awesome because now David's message was going to the whole world and was reaching many people. (Representing the David Man-child reformers.) The next event I remember, I was inside this hotel and I saw a group of people approaching me. Then the fire of God fell upon me with holy boldness because I started preaching the Word with boldness and no fear like the early apostles did when the Holy Spirit fell upon them. (Normally I'm very shy and not bold. The Lord has been working on me with this and I believe He has shown me that He is going to make me speak with boldness. “God's power is made perfect in our weakness”. However, these people did not receive the message of the gospel, as they started laughing and scoffing and went their own way. The next scene I remember, I was in a long walkway with doors on both sides. I believe I was with another brother in Christ. Suddenly, a mountain of a man with long hair, appeared very strong and who looked like a professional wrestler, walked in to pummel whoever got in his path. The other brother took off and both doors shut and I was left alone with this man. (The Lord was forcing me into crucifixion.) I decided I was going to preach the gospel to him which, at the time, seemed crazy because this man looked like he wanted to rip me from limb to limb; however, I felt holy boldness rise up in me and went and stood by the man and preached the Word with boldness to him. After I was done preaching, he just stood there and looked at me and then proceeded to beat me up very badly. I did not strike back but let him pummel me. I do not know if he had killed me or not but I knew the Lord was showing me to turn the other cheek. I then was taken to another scene where I saw this same man was changed because I did not fight back. He was now a fire-breathing gospel evangelist and was preaching to other people. Next I remember him preaching to a group of people and then he was beaten, as well. I do not know if he was killed. (The Lord had shown me that because of my testimony of turning the other cheek and going to my cross how this man was saved and was allowed to go to his cross.) I remember being deeply touched by this brother who had gone to his cross. I remain touched even now as I'm writing this because the Lord is truly showing me how to lay my life down for the brethren and what is meant to go to our cross. The Lord has shown me that there are many brothers and sisters in the world who will come into the kingdom as a result of our willingness to turn the other cheek and overcome evil by laying our lives down. Please read our book, How Shall We Die     Why Die Walking After the Flesh? SG - 03/01/2011 (David's notes in red) I asked the Lord for a dream and He gave me a very good one. In my dream, there was a woman whose name was Delilah (meaning “weakened, uprooted or impoverished”) who had lost her son. (She was weakened and uprooted because she lost her spiritual man or fruit of the womb of her heart, as in the parable of the sower. How can we lose our spiritual man or fruit? We are shown in Jude 12 Twice dead plucked up by the roots. Jesus said in Joh.15:2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit, he taketh it away.) Some Christians gathered to pray about finding the boy. (Praying for her to find her fruit again.) They were waiting for me to finish washing my teeth. Son.6:6 Thy teeth are like a flock of ewes, Which are come up from the washing; Whereof every one hath twins, And none is bereaved among them. Each tooth has its opposite so that a person may be well fed spiritually. Gen.49:12 His eyes shall be red with wine, And his teeth white with milk. The teeth must be washed with the milk of the Word. In this way, clean teeth mean partaking of clean spiritual food of the Word.) My son began to pray a mellow prayer and I felt that prayer wouldn't do it. I started to pray with power and faith. We finished and went on the search. I think the boy's name was Elijah (Meaning “my God is YHWH”) and his father's was Onesimus, a carpenter, who was a very good father. (Onesimus was the runaway slave who met Paul and became “profitable or helpful”, as his name means, when he brought forth the fruit of the spiritual man, his son.) I found an old man who was attaching a boy to a pallet. (The “old man” had taken the spiritual man captive. It's called walking in the flesh. A pallet is for moving merchandise around. So the old man makes merchandise of the spiritual man, much like false ministers do.) I went over to him and took the boy off and grabbed him. I put the old man on my side like carrying a baby. (We must take the old man where he would not go, as Jesus said to Peter.) I asked him, “Where is the boy and who do you work for?” He wouldn't say. I said with a firm determination, “I will win”; then he said, “You already won”. (Through Jesus, we have already won against the old man, who works for the flesh and the devil. Gal. 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I that live, but Christ living in me: and that [life] which I now live in the flesh I live in faith, [the faith] which is in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me. And in 5:24 And they that are of Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with the passions and the lusts thereof.) While still carrying the old man, I noticed the empty packaging of what he had been using to attach the boy and I picked it up. I read the label, hoping to trace it to the kidnappers. The price tag read, “Humble Oct. 6-11”. (The Lord paid the price to set us free from bondage above. And the old man will pay a terrible price for taking authority over the spiritual man. What is “Humble Oct.6-11”? This is the opposite of and solution for what happened above when the old man took authority over the spiritual man. This symbolizes the 10th month or book, 6th chapter, 11th verse, which is 2Sa.6:11 And the ark of Jehovah remained in the house of Obed-edom the Gittite three months: and Jehovah blessed Obed-edom, and all his house. A Gittite is a Philistine of the city of Gath. This is the old man of the flesh that dwells in the land. When the flesh is “Humble”ed, as Obed was under David, and serves the spiritual man, who is the ark of God's presence, he is blessed. The very next verse says that the ark was taken to the city of David, which is Zion, the Bride. 12 And it was told king David, saying, Jehovah hath blessed the house of Obed-edom, and all that pertaineth unto him, because of the ark of God. And David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-edom into the city of David with joy. It is the most joyful thing for the ark of God's presence to rest in the Holy of Holies of our spiritual man in the Holy City. In the time of Eli, the ark was taken captive under the authority of the Philistines or fleshly man in 1 Samuel 4-6 and it brought a curse to all their cities so much that they returned it under the authority of the spiritual man, Israel. So when we walk in the flesh, we bring these curses on us but when the spiritual man is in the lead, we are blessed. The moral of the story is so perfectly written in Rom.8:12 So then, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh: 13 for if ye live after the flesh, ye must die; but if by the Spirit ye put to death the deeds of the body, ye shall live. This warfare against the gods that rule over the flesh man and seek to bring the spiritual man under subjection is spoken of in the New Testament text given in this dream, 10th book, 6th chapter, 11th verse: Eph.6:11 Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world-rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual [hosts] of wickedness in the heavenly [places].     Burn the Wood, Hay and Stubble B. A. - 12/22/2012 (David's notes in red) I dreamed I was in a dark chamber of some sort. It was so dark I could only make out very faint shadows of something all around me. I decided to light a match so I could see better. As soon as I lit the match, I could see piles and piles of large stacks of wood, hay and stubble (worthless, no spiritual value) all around me. I thought to myself, “Wow! Look at all the useless junk in this place. I had better put this match out or this dry, worthless stuff is going to ignite like a torch!” Just as I was about to extinguish the match, I heard a voice from Heaven say, “ Throw the lit match on the wood, hay and stubble”. Zec.13:9 And I will bring the third part into the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried. They shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people; and they shall say, Jehovah is my God. 1Pe.1:7 that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold that perisheth though it is proved by fire, may be found unto praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ: Job23:10 But he knoweth the way that I take; When he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold. Eph.5:26 that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word. (In the midst of the fiery trial, when we reject our own thoughts and works to save ourselves, we cooperate with Father in burning up the wood, hay and stubble that represents fleshly things. Therefore, the command to set them on fire represents this. These works will not survive the test of time and trial, if we reject them.) Suddenly, I realized where I was. I was inside my own heart and this was my wood, hay and stubble. I said, “Yes, Lord, I will set this awful stuff on fire right now!” Pro.17:3 The refining pot is for silver, and the furnace for gold; But Jehovah trieth the hearts. Psa.139:23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: Try me, and know my thoughts. As soon as I threw the match onto the largest pile, it immediately shot fiery flames all the way to the top of the chamber. In what appeared like mere seconds, all these piles of useless garbage in the chamber were burning. I thought to myself, “This is the best fire ever!” I just stood, looking all around me, as these beautiful flames were burning off all this worthless junk that had attached itself to the ceiling, walls and floor of my chamber. 1Co.3:12 But if any man buildeth on the foundation gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13 each man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it is revealed in fire; and the fire itself shall prove each man's work of what sort it is. 14 If any man's work shall abide which he built thereon, he shall receive a reward. 15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as through fire. (We are sanctified by the burning up of our fleshly man.) After the flames had subsided, a beautiful, brilliant bright light engulfed my entire chamber and I saw Jesus standing in my chamber with me. Oh, praise the Lord! Jesus had a white garment with Him. He came over to me and put the beautiful, white garment on me Himself. I was so happy because I knew this was a bridal garment and Jesus Himself was giving it to me. Thank you, Jesus!     Tribulations: Tests of Obedience Judy Gregerson - 04/02/2010 (David's notes in red) I was walking around with someone and this great wind storm whipped up. (Walking with the Lord as the tribulation arises. Winds of false doctrine and tribulation are coming to test the saints in whether or not they are obeying the Word. We see here that after knowledge comes testing to see who has built on the Rock of obedience.) Mat.7:24 Every one therefore that heareth these words of mine, and doeth them, shall be likened unto a wise man, who built his house upon the rock: 25 and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and if fell not: for it was founded upon the rock. 26 And every one that heareth these words of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand: 27 and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and smote upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall thereof. ... Eph.4:14 that we may be no longer children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, in craftiness, after the wiles of error.) I was around these huge, old trees and branches started breaking off in the wind. This old growth was not strong; in fact, it looked rotten in these old trees. (The old churches, denominations and ministries that refuse the new growth of the reformation message will die, being revealed as rotten and corrupt by the winds and storms of tribulation now whipping up in the world. Judgments in finances, politics, life, weather, earthquakes, wind, earth, fires and heaven changes, etc. Joh.15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same beareth much fruit: for apart from me ye can do nothing. 6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If these old churches were of God, they would bring forth God's fruit as the nature, character and authority of Jesus. But even though they appear great in the eyes of man; inside they are rotten and dead.) And I kept walking and, finally, two or three small pieces of branches came flying at me. (Representing people from the churches who come against us, especially their leaders, just as they persecuted Jesus and His disciples.) One piece about two feet long hit me, but I felt no pain and wasn't hurt. But huge branches were falling all around on other things. (God's judgment on big church leaders and ministries as they FALL in tribulations.) I was amazed about the old growth. I was looking up in these trees and I knew that this old growth (Christians walking in old traditions and error) was all going to be blown off these trees and hurt a lot of things on the ground, but it couldn't hurt me, even when it came FLYING at me with great power. (The Christians living close to the world will suffer as their false, apostate leadership is broken off and exposed. The falling branches of Christianity will come against and persecute the elect. Act.8:1 And Saul was consenting unto his death. And there arose on that day a great persecution against the church.) Weird, huh? (No, God gives strange dreams so we remember them. He told a brother that one time when he asked Him.)     The Foundation Is Death of the Old Man Jon Knowles - 10/20/2007 (David's notes in red) In a dream, David Eells and I were working on his house and as we did, I began to discover dead, decayed bodies embedded in the floorboards and such. They were old and dry -- skeletal. He didn't seem surprised or concerned. (The foundation of our new house is the death of the old house.) We were pulling something like old cardboard off of the bodies and he was pointing them out to me. For some reason, I actually pulled some of this cardboard off with my teeth and the dust of the dead bodies went into my mouth and I started to spit it out. We went outside into the yard and as I was working on a windowsill and removing some old weather stripping, David pointed out another dead body that was kind of stuffed into an old discarded couch -- strange. As he showed it to me, a police detective drove up in order to question him about the bodies and in the dream I was beginning to wonder if he was a serial killer! He calmly greeted him and started to answer his questions. End of the dream. The foundation of our house is that the old man has to die and be under our feet. Without this there can be no house of God. As the outer man is decaying the inner man is being renewed. We must lose our old life to gain our new life. The true Word should be bringing death to all who make up this house. So, yes, I am a serial killer. :o) All who rest in the Lord's promises (as on the couch) are putting their old life to death. We must spit the old man out and not allow him in the words that we say.     Martyrdom Dream T.M. - 10/04/2007 (David's notes in red) There was a group of us fellowshipping in a room when we were approached by a few people, telling us that we had to come with them and that we were going to be “martyred”. We happily complied and everyone was joyful. They led us out of the room to a table, where we each told our names and were given a card with a number on it. We then were led into another room where tables had been set up around the outside edges of the room. Above each table was a number, for example (2, 3, 16, 23...all the way up to 50). My wife, son, and I had the number 50, which was the largest number available. (I believe the numbers in the dream represent percentages, but I'm unsure what this means.) We all went to our tables within the room, and everyone was happily fellowshipping. End of dream. For many years I have taught what the Lord showed me about this. Jesus taught us that we have to lose our old life to gain our new life. If we lose our self-life before the end, we will not have to die for we are counted already dead. Unless Christians bear enough fruit of Christ before that time they will have to enter life by losing their physical life. This is the first time where I have heard of any percentage put upon this. It appears that unless one reaches above 50% fruit of the 30-, 60-, 100-fold Jesus spoke of, he will have to enter life through physical death. Martyrs who repent should be happy. It is an honor to enter into the presence of the Lord, something only a small percentage of planet Earth does.     Spirit Man in the Image of Christ Cornelius Bosch - 10/25/2007 (David's notes in red) I dreamt of a baby being carried by an invisible man. (The baby is the fruit of Christ in you, manifested in the spiritual man who is invisible.) With them also walked a normal man of flesh and bone who seemed to know the invisible man. They spoke to each other. (They are part of the same body and communicate constantly.) The baby was very comfortable being carried around by this invisible man. The baby had a small round mirror in his hand and when he looked into the mirror, he could see the face of the man who carried him, and they smiled at each other. The spiritual man is coming into the image of Christ as he sees by faith that we no longer live but Christ lives in us.  2Co.3:18 But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord the Spirit. At one point there seemed to be a struggle between the man of flesh and bone and the invisible man. (The flesh lusts against the spirit and the spirit against the flesh.) The invisible man had a long axe in his hand and hit the man of flesh in the middle of his chest and he died. (The sword of the spirit, the Word of God, will put to death the carnal man so that only the spiritual man becomes known in our bodies.) He then seemed to just “step over” and become the same as the invisible man and they were joined by a lot of the same invisible people. (When the old man dies there is nothing to be seen in us by this world but the spiritual man who is then in the image of Christ but walks in the body of the carnal man taking his land.) I also had the distinct feeling that all the other invisible people that I saw in the end were Jews, pointing to the “All Israel” in Romans 11. (Yes, the spiritual New Testament Jews are those who are circumcised in heart and their flesh is cut off.) Those who walk by faith are in this process of Christ coming in the spiritual man through the death of the old self-life.     Cutting Off the Flesh Missy Pollock - 04/14/2012 (David's notes in red) The day that I had this dream was the birthday of my oldest son (representing the firstborn of the flesh who needs to die) who is now 25 years old. (The first-born of Egypt were killed in the Passover, just like our baptism.) He surely was born of the flesh because I got pregnant with him before I was married. When he was in his early teens, he really drove me crazy because of his tongue. I was complaining to the Lord about it and the Lord got my attention and showed me the meaning of his names. Matthew means “gift of God”. The book of Matthew is about the Kingdom and Jesus being our King and Savior. Matthew's middle name is Ryan, which means “little king”. What the Lord showed me is that He gave Matt to me as a gift to save me! I married his father and through a bad marriage, the Lord turned my heart to Him (we are no longer married). His birthday is on the 14th, which means “SALVATION”! (The 14th day of the first month is Passover, when the Lamb was slayed for us -- Exodus 12:2,6.) Also, I believe the main thing that the Lord is showing me in this dream is how my tongue is the cause of so many of my problems. Isn't that so sovereign of God to do that?! I was listening to Power of the Tongue and David said that if you don't let your tongue speak, it corrects your thoughts. This is so true. I've been learning this. Only Jesus in us can bridle the tongue. In the dream, I was in a school, running a race on a track against a boy (boy refers to immaturity because of the flesh). The track was a small circle in a room. (Israel in the wilderness was going around and around the mountain in their flesh and immaturity.) 2Co.4:8 [we are] pressed on every side, yet not straitened; perplexed, yet not unto despair. And 2Co.7:5 ... our flesh had no relief, but [we were] afflicted on every side; without [were] fightings, within [were] fears. Toward the end of the race, the boy tried to cut me off but I cut him off (cutting off of the flesh. Gal.5:17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh... And Rom.8:13 ... but if by the Spirit ye put to death the deeds of the body, ye shall live. 1Co.9:24 Know ye not that they that run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? Even so run; that ye may attain. I thought I'd better run some extra laps because I didn't want to be disqualified after cutting him off. Jas.1:3 knowing that the proving of your faith worketh patience. 4 And let patience have its perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, lacking in nothing. 1Co.9:27 but I buffet my body, and bring it into bondage: lest by any means, after that I have preached to others, I myself should be rejected. (God said they went around and around to make sure all the men who sinned died in the wilderness, so their fruit, their children, could go into the Promised Land.) These laps weren't in a circle, though. I ran back and forth between two points of about 10 feet (divine order). (Obeying the Law of 10 Commandments and running a straight line in the race to bear fruit.) But I couldn't see after I cut him off. As I was running those extra laps, I wondered where the boy was because I couldn't hear him either (not being able to see or hear in the flesh is walking by faith and not by sight). When I finished the laps, I could see (having received spiritual eyes) to run out of the room and into a gym (a place where you can move about freely; freedom from the flesh). (A place to exercise and build our spiritual strength.) There were other people there (exercising to win the race; those who have loved His appearing in them). I asked a man who was keeping a tally of everyone's time a question (Jesus, the righteous judge). 2Ti.4:7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith:8 henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give to me at that day; and not to me only, but also to all them that have loved his appearing. I asked him, “What was my time?” He said, “Five minutes”. (Five is the number of grace.) I said, “I didn't think I could run that long”. (By the grace of God we have the endurance. Mat.24:13 But he that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved.) Then I saw the boy I ran the race against and asked him, “What happened to you after I cut you off?” He didn't answer because he was humiliated. Jas.4:6 God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace to the humble. I said to him, “I'm not trying to boast”. 1Co.15:10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not found vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. But he wouldn't answer. (The old man is dead; he can't speak. Praise the Lord! Our Father sees us already completely reconciled to Him, but we need to work this out by faith, seeing the end from the beginning. The old man needs to be replaced with the new man, Christ. The new man overcomes the old man until all that's left is Jesus! Amen!) I flipped open my Bible and put my finger down twice and these are the verses the Lord gave me to go with the dream. I've been doing this quite a bit and it never ceases to amaze me the verses that the Lord gives me, whether it be for a dream or to confirm something to me. How encouraging this is! If you believe, it surely does work! 2Ki.3:27 Then he took his eldest son (first-born, the flesh) that should have reigned in his stead, and offered him for a burnt-offering upon the wall... (The first-born would reign in our stead, instead of the spiritual man, if not sacrificed on the altar of fiery trials. Esau was the first-born of the flesh who lost his position as head of the house to Jacob, the second-born of the spirit. Ishmael was the first-born of the flesh who lost his position as head of the house to Isaac, the second-born of the Spirit. Saul was the first-born of the flesh who lost his position as head of the house to David, the second-born of the Spirit. If we don't lose our old life, we will not have the new life, as Jesus taught.) And the second verse is: Mal.3:10 Bring ye the whole tithe into the store-house, that there may be food (Jesus as the Word) in my house (through abiding in Christ, we are God's house), and prove me now herewith, saith Jehovah of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, (latter rain anointing) that there shall not be room enough [to receive it]. (The Israelites had to bring the first fruits of their increase and offer it to the Lord, just like the first verse given. This was like the boy, her son, being offered up. This is when Jesus taught, and we begin to receive the abundant life blessings.) This verse I found as a cross-reference to the above verse: Neh.13:11 Then contended I with the rulers, and said, Why is the house of God forsaken? (Contending with the first-born rulers of the flesh.) And I gathered them together, and set them in their place. (Put them in their place under our feet.) 12 Then brought all Judah the tithe of the grain (then the spiritual man brought forth fruit to offer to God) and the new wine (life of Jesus) and the oil (the Spirit) unto the treasuries. Parables are the language of the spirit, God's code speak, that the proud fakes cannot hear or understand Jesus said in Luk.10:21 In that same hour he rejoiced in the Holy Spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou didst hide these things from the wise and understanding, and didst reveal them unto babes: yea, Father; for so it was well-pleasing in thy sight.     Cut Off the Mind of the Flesh Eve Brast - 06/29/2012 (David's notes in red) I had a dream this morning that really concerns me. I don't ever have violent, bloody dreams like this! I prayed Philippians 4:7, just like I do every night over myself and for my brethren. I fell asleep to the Book of Hebrews on my iPod, too. When I woke up, I was thinking about what this dream could mean. I will try to share all the things I can remember from it. I dreamed that I was standing next to a fireplace on my right that had gone out. My dog, Curtis, was lying on the burned-out coals on his left side, next to my grandmother's Dachshund, Penny. (The dog in us must be sacrificed on the altar of the fiery trial. This is the death of self.) Suddenly, a white, plastic lettuce knife that is used to cut heads of lettuce appeared in my right hand. (In real life, a local UBM brother's wife, named Kelly, which means “war-like”, had shown me this lettuce knife the last time we had a fellowship at their house. I had never seen a knife like that before and she was showing me how nice they were to cut lettuce with.) Heads of lettuce actually grow on the ground and would represent the earthly mind of flesh. (which must be cut off to save our heavenly life) (I heard a dream recently about lettuce heads being people's heads and the key interpretation was pointed out in that dream which was “let us”, as a play on words. Self rules in many lives through the mind of flesh. It's a “we will do it, Lord” attitude that we must war against and cut off with the lettuce knife of the Spirit, the Word of God. In the Spirit, taking down the old life and raising up the new is violent warfare against the self-life, as Jesus said. It is bringing the true Kingdom of God in us and those around us. Luk.16:15 And he said unto them, Ye are they that justify yourselves in the sight of men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is exalted among men is an abomination in the sight of God. 16 The law and the prophets [were] until John: from that time the gospel of the kingdom of God is preached, and every man entereth violently into it.) Then, in the dream, I fell into a trance (i.e., in the spirit) and went over to Curtis and cut his neck with the lettuce knife, and saw the blood soak his fur around his neck. (We are to help ourselves and others to lose their carnal life in order to save their eternal life.) Then I moved on to my next target which was a demon-possessed man with a very large head who was addicted to playing violent video games. I hated what he was doing and took the lettuce knife and cut his neck within an inch of severing it completely and stood there watching the blood pool on the ground. His head then slid and twisted off, just hanging by the inch of skin that was left. Then the ugly, green alien-looking demon left his body. It was very angry at me for killing its fleshly host! (We have to get rid of the mind of flesh with the sword of the Word, which is also the renewed mind of Christ. Rom.8:5 For they that are after the flesh mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For the mind of the flesh is death; but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace: 7 because the mind of the flesh is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can it be: 8 and they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 But ye are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you. But if any man hath not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.) I then moved on to my next target which was my mother. But she looked nothing like my mother. She was a small, thin woman with a mushroom-style hairdo that was dirty blonde in color. (The flesh alone looks nothing like our body but is like the dog.) I also cut her neck all the way through at an angle and her head fell completely off. I then moved on to another target but can't remember those details. Luk.14:26 If any man cometh unto me, and hateth not his own father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. [We must hate the soulish life of the mind of the flesh in ourselves and our families if we are to save them.] 27 Whosoever doth not bear his own cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple. 28 For which of you, desiring to build a tower, doth not first sit down and count the cost, whether he have [wherewith] to complete it? [The cost to build the house is cutting off of the old head.] 29 Lest haply, when he hath laid a foundation, and is not able to finish, all that behold begin to mock him, 30 saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish. Jesus said, everyone has a house but He has no place to lay HIS HEAD. His house must have His head.) After this, I snapped out of the trance (or came out of the spirit) and was very remorseful when I realized what I had done! I had been watching myself from the inside doing these things but everything about me was taken over and I didn't feel remorse or stop it until I came out of the trance. (When in the Spirit, we fight against the old man in us and others, although we do it guided by wisdom and grace. When in the flesh, we pity the old man and have mercy on him but we must lose our life to gain our life, as Jesus said. “The mind of the flesh is enmity against God”. Gal.5:16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are contrary the one to the other; that ye may not do the things that ye would.) My 'mother' came back to life as her head reattached itself to her body. I went crying to her and telling her what I had done. (If you don't cut the mind of flesh all the way off, it can grow back. Have no mercy on this enemy of God and your life. But when dealing with it in others, we must be weak to the weak. We must do it for love of their eternal soul.) She immediately started announcing to everyone around, including two army soldiers who were shady and dishonest, “I've just done something. I'm the one who did it!” (Those in the flesh will be the Judases of God's people. The flesh often takes credit for what the spiritual man does. The militant enforcers are those who agree with and encourage the flesh to take credit.) (One of them looked like a carnal person I knew but his teeth were all rotten.) She then went over to a tree and started to dig up an idol that looked like a wooden or mummified Frankenstein that was about a foot tall, and a skull, and placed them on a wooden railing. (Frankenstein's monster was the dead man who was brought back to life through man's evil ingenuity, symbolized by “let us”. This is the idol of self.) Then, as she was still announcing this and claiming responsibility for these actions that I had done, behind me she was skipping and waving a white handkerchief between her index and middle fingers in each hand. (This is “self”, glorifying self. Taking credit for her change. We must humble the flesh or it will destroy the works of God through us because He will not share His glory with the flesh.) When I turned around to look at her following behind me along with the two army soldiers, I saw that she had the lettuce knife in her hand and she was making a stabbing motion at my back, with an ugly face. (The flesh often misuses scripture to attack the spirit man or the righteous, in general.) I then came back over to the fireplace that had gone out where Curtis was still lying and I was so sad for what I had done to him while in that trance! (Sometimes the flesh in us makes us feel guilty and so we mistakenly have pity on the flesh to ease the suffering and let it live.) I got on my knees and petted him, crying and trying to see if he was still alive. One of the army men said, “Look, he is still alive”. The knife had barely cut his neck and he lifted his head to lick my tears. (Those who have pity on the flesh want desperately to see the “old you” come back.) I then got up and went over to an outdoor pavilion with picnic tables. As I was approaching it, the angry alien-looking demon that had possessed the video game addict was slouching on the railing around the pavilion and glaring at me, full of hatred! My 'mother' and the two shady army men then started to come up with a plan to cover up what I had done. The one who looked like my carnal friend was smiling a rotten-toothed smile as he was saying, “No one will ever find out!” (No one will find out that God, through the spiritual man, cut off the mind of flesh, if the carnal man brings one back under submission. Those who go back into the world are just like it.) I asked the Father for a verse for what this dream meant and when I put my finger down, I noticed that my Bible was upside down and my finger was on Luk.17:23 And they shall say to you, Lo, there! or Lo, here! go not away nor follow after them ... (In the context, we are being warned not to follow fleshly men claiming to be the anointed of God with their flesh saving doctrines.) I asked for a second verse and my finger was on 1Co.10:28 But if anyone say to you, This hath been offered in sacrifice, eat not, for his sake who showed it, and for conscience ... (We are not to partake of fleshly offerings sacrificed to idols of self.)     God's Bug Detector B. A. - 10/20/2011 (David's notes in red) In a dream, I saw an ad in a magazine I was reading called, God's Daily. The ad was for a “bug detector”. The ad read God's Bug Detector. Don't need a money-back guarantee, because the suit is free. One size fits all. No batteries or electrical outlets required. Works solely by your thoughts. Try it on and see what happens! I thought, hey, why not? What do I have to lose? So I sent off for this “Bug Detector Suit” The day came and I got the suit. This suit was totally complete. It came with an attachable helmet and face mask to cover the head; it had gloves and boots that attached to cover the feet. Once the suit was on, it conformed to the body and became invisible to the world. I couldn't wait to try the suit out to see if it really worked like the ad said it would. I was shopping in the grocery store when I looked and I saw this woman talking about me. She was pointing her finger at me and murmuring something to another woman standing beside her. I thought, Is she saying something bad about me? All of a sudden, my helmet lit up and the white lights all around the helmet started flashing and I heard, “BUG ALERT, BUG ALERT, BUG ALERT. Push the BIG BUTTON in the center of your chest”. So I pushed the button and it said, “In the name of Jesus, I bind this evil thought and cast it into the pit of hell where it belongs. Thank you, Lord. AMEN!” WOW, I thought, this really does work! On the way home, I was driving along when a truck came from nowhere and cut me off. I thought, Good grief! Is that guy trying to kill us both?! All of a sudden, my helmet lit up and the white lights all around the helmet started flashing and I heard, “BUG ALERT, BUG ALERT, BUG ALERT. Push the BIG BUTTON in the center of your chest”. So again I pushed the button and it said, “In the name of Jesus, I bind this evil thought and cast it into the pit of hell where it belongs. Thank you, Lord. AMEN!” I couldn't wait to witness to people and tell them what this suit had done for me and tell them how they too could get a suit like this. (Well, this “Bug Detector” is also for any thoughts that we would have that are contrary to the Truth and would allow the flesh to live, or listen to and receive any of those fiery darts from the devil against the knowledge of the truth.)     God's Army Is Dressed for Success B. A. - 01/03/2013 (David's notes in red) I dreamt I was in an army barracks (specialized buildings for permanent military accommodations. We, as God's spiritual warriors, represent these specialized barracks. We are specialized temples made without man's hands, as we have been molded and shaped by the Father's hand and hand-picked by the Father Himself for our position in this army.) I was resting on my bunk (resting and abiding in Jesus) with several of my comrades (fellow believers in Christ Jesus). Rom.15:6 that with one accord ye may with one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Then, all of a sudden, the Commander's voice (Jesus, the Word) came across the intercom. (An intercom, talkback or door phone is a standalone voice communications system for use within a building. Jesus, the Word of God, is the door phone in our building. Joh.10:7 Jesus therefore said unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. 9 I am the door; by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and go out, and shall find pasture.) The Commander said, “We are under attack. This is an order: suit up and put on your full armor”. Eph.6:10 Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world-rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Wherefore take up the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 withal taking up the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 with all prayer and supplication praying at all seasons in the Spirit, and watching thereunto in all perseverance and supplication for all the saints. The Commander continues, “Before leaving the barracks, check each other's armor”. (We need to help each other to spiritually prepare for this battle, as we are one in the body of Christ. As David Eells has told us, the Lord said to him when he needed help, “David had an army”. Joh.13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; even as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. 1Jn.3:16 Hereby know we love, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.) So, I submitted to the Commander's order and jumped off my bunk and suited up quickly. (Submit in the Greek is hupeiko, which means “to yield, be weak, to surrender; submit self”. 1Sa.15:22 And Samuel said, Hath Jehovah as great delight in burnt-offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of Jehovah? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.) As I was waiting for the rest of my comrades to suit up, I noticed a soldier heading for the door, and I noticed that he had a crack along the back of his armor (he could not see nor discern that his armor was flawed). I cried out for him to stop and that he had a crack in his armor, but he just grumbled under his breath and ignored me and kept heading for the door. (He was too full of pride and ego to take correction; there's no place in the armor of God for pride and ego.) He hadn't taken but just a few steps outside the door when he was taken out by sniper fire right to the head. Pro.16:18 Pride goeth before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall. 8:13 The fear of Jehovah is to hate evil: Pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, And the perverse mouth, do I hate. 11:2 When pride cometh, then cometh shame; But with the lowly is wisdom. Ecc.4:9 Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. 10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him that is alone when he falleth, and hath not another to lift him up. 11 Again, if two lie together, then they have warmth; but how can one be warm alone? 12 And if a man prevail against him that is alone, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken. WOW! I thought he didn't stand a chance with that big crack in his armor. The Commander knew what He was talking about when He ordered us to check each other's armor. So we all very earnestly started checking each other's armor for any cracks (flaws in our spiritual walk) and thanking and praising the Commander for insisting we obey this order. Obey in the Greek is hupakouo, which means “to listen attentively; by implication to heed or conform to a command or authority, hearken, be obedient, to obey”. Deu.15:5 if only thou diligently hearken unto the voice of Jehovah thy God, to observe to do all this commandment which I command thee this day. 6 For Jehovah thy God will bless thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt rule over many nations, but they shall not rule over thee. 28:2 and all these blessings shall come upon thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of Jehovah thy God. After we had inspected each other's armor and all was well, we headed out the door to face the enemy. We could see the enemy all around the outer perimeter of our barracks. They immediately started firing upon us, but their bullets (or their fiery darts) just bounced off our armor and fell to the ground; their weapons had no effect on us. When they saw that their weapons had no effect, they retreated. Jas.4:7 Be subject therefore unto God; but resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Eph.4:27 neither give place to the devil. 1Pe.5:6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time. 8 Be sober, be watchful: your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour, (9) whom withstand stedfast in your faith, knowing that the same sufferings are accomplished in your brethren who are in the world. As we were turning around to go back to the barracks, I caught a glimpse of a movement over my shoulder. I swung back around just in time to see that evil sniper aim his weapon and lock his red laser beam (evil thoughts) onto my heart. Well, that was a BIG mistake! You see, my armor had already been inspected by order or decree from the Commander, so I knew the sniper couldn't take me out! I fired my weapon right into his laser beam and it drove the red beam (his evil thoughts) from his weapon back at him and took him out! (Gal.6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.) We all began to cheer and praise the Lord for the victory, “HALLELUJAH!” As we were walking back to the barracks, we heard the Commander over the intercom say, “Well done, good and faithful servants”. Mat.25:25 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will set thee over many things; enter thou into the joy of thy lord. WOW! I can't wait to hear those words! Thank You, Father, and thank You, Jesus! A few weeks ago, I had a vision that I believe goes with this dream: I saw the Father sitting at His potter's wheel. He reached down to the ground and gathered a handful of clay and placed it on His wheel and then added some water and started to form a new vessel. As I was standing there observing the Father, I heard the Holy Spirit tell me that this new vessel was my vessel. I was so excited to receive this wonderful news. Suddenly, directly in front of the Father, I started to see the faces of all the believers I knew from UBM; they were all suspended there in front of the Father. Then I saw the Father reach out with His right hand gather all the faces and place them into my vessel. The Holy Spirit told me the reason why the Father did this. He said, “All of these saints had a part in shaping and molding you into a vessel of honor for the Father's kingdom”. WOW! I was so humbled and blessed by this vision; how very true.     Defending Yourself with the Word Bethany Mize - 07/30/2015 (David's notes in red) Last night in service, the Lord gave me a vision. In this vision, I saw myself standing in a deep valley, alone. The ground and sides of the valley were clay-like substances, murky and cracked. As a shofar blew, the Lion of the tribe of Judah walked to the edge of the cliff and kept His gaze upon me. His eyes were so full of love. I was humbled and still in His presence. As I looked into His eyes, the tears began to roll down my face. I bowed my knees to Him. In doing so, the Word of God lay before me and I began to devour it. Beneath the Word was rich, thick green grass but nowhere else but where the Word of God lay. (Peter said, “All flesh is as grass”. Obeying the Word is health and life to our body. Pro.4:20 My son, attend to my words; Incline thine ear unto my sayings. 21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; Keep them in the midst of thy heart. 22 For they are life unto those that find them, And health to all their flesh. When judgments are coming, we need a clear conscience and faith in His provision of protection.) (The name Bethany has a couple of meanings: “house of God” or “house of figs”, which have a very similar spiritual meaning: the true people of God.) As I digested the seed of the Word, small pieces of metal armor began to attach themselves to my shoulders, down my back, and around my arms, until I was completely covered in armor. I knew I was in a time of preparation; it was not to be taken lightly. (Major judgments are coming and many are not prepared to escape for lack of the armor. We must pray for them now.) I stood to my feet, keeping my eyes on the Lion, with no words spoken, but just a knowing, He told me to wave my right arm across the ground. As I did, green grass began to grow wherever the shadow of my hand stretched above it. (With the armor of God's Word on, we have the authority to protect this body.) In the natural, we began to sing in service, “Our sons and daughters shall prophecy”. As I sang this, my three-year-old daughter appeared to my left in the vision, fully armed. I was filled with joy that she rose from her knees, armed, as did I. (Children need to be taught this, too.) Then, in the last verse, we sang, “Let the rivers flow down”. In singing this, I knew it was time to stand firm. Then a large wave of moving water rushed toward us from the right. I grabbed my daughter's hand with my left hand and lifted up my right arm toward the water, like a shield. Then, as I bent my elbow back, the water went over us and crashed all around us but never touched us. My armor (the Word of God) is what kept us in that secret place of the Most High. We were not fearful but full of boldness toward the oncoming water. It was a wonderful sight! (The Lord has had me move my hand in a sweeping motion like a knife to cut off the rain as it stopped immediately.) Later in the service, Jonathan spoke, “When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Lord will raise up a standard.” Just wanted to encourage the brethren with what the Lord used to encourage me. The seed of God that goes into us is what will preserve us. The Lord is coming manifested by Word and the latter rain, as He said in Hosea 6:1-3. He will be manifested in His Man-child ministry at the beginning of the tribulation. The story is in Ezekiel 34 where He will cut off the evil shepherds and will come to feed His flock with His David / Man-children. The Bible says of the Lord's coming in judgment that His recompense will be before Him at least twice. I received this one yesterday: Isa.40:10 Behold, the Lord Jehovah will come as a mighty one, and his arm will rule for him: Behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him. 11 He will feed his flock like a shepherd, he will gather the lambs in his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and will gently lead those that have their young. This is seen again in 62:11 Behold, Jehovah hath proclaimed unto the end of the earth, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him. It appears the recompense is mentioned just below this concerning the Lord's judgment of Edom, the son of Abraham who persecuted his brother Israel as a type of the Church. 63:1 Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, marching in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save. 2 Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winevat? 3 I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the peoples there was no man with me: yea, I trod them in mine anger, and trampled them in my wrath; and their lifeblood is sprinkled upon my garments, and I have stained all my raiment.     Confess Your Sins One to Another Anonymous - 04/28/2011 (David's notes in red) I got a word from the Lord for the body. Please discern. The Spirit of the Lord speaks: Confess your sins to one another. You have confessed them before me but now I'm telling you to confess them to one another. If you refuse, I will come to you and rip your skirts from off of you and the shame of your nakedness will be exposed to the world. You have sought to preserve face by keeping your sins private. Job 31:33-34 If like Adam I have covered my transgressions, By hiding mine iniquity in my bosom, 34 Because I feared the great multitude, And the contempt of families terrified me, So that I kept silence, and went not out of the door-- Jas.5:16 Confess therefore your sins one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The supplication of a righteous man availeth much in its working. Pro.28:13 He that covereth his transgressions shall not prosper: But whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall obtain mercy. He that covereth his transgressions shall not prosper: But whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall obtain mercy. You have confessed them before me but now, even now, I tell you confess them one to another. (This is humbling to the ego and makes us think twice about sinning again.) Psa 32:1-6 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered. 2 Blessed is the man unto whom Jehovah imputeth not iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no guile. 3 When I kept silence, my bones wasted away Through my groaning all the day long. 4 For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: My moisture was changed as with the drought of summer. Selah. 5 I acknowledged my sin unto thee, And mine iniquity did I not hide: I said, I will confess my transgressions unto Jehovah; And thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah. 6 For this let every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: Surely when the great waters overflow they shall not reach unto him. (Confessing our sins will preserve us through judgment.) The Spirit of the Lord has spoken.

"God Wants Me to Be Happy"

All people want to be happy. I have spent a lot of time with people as a pastor, and the majority of couples and individuals who met with me over the years did so because they longed to be happy. It is also true that the motivation for couples seeking marriage or divorce, the desire for a new job or the determination to quit a job, what led to substance abuse or a willingness to break an addiction is all the same: the desire to be happy. In fact, there have been people who claimed to be Christians who sought marriage, divorce, drugs, freedom from addiction, debt, and freedom from debt out of the belief that God wanted them to be happy. How about you? Do you believe God wants you to be happy? Do you believe that the ends justify the means to achieve and experience the happiness you believe God wants for you? Maybe you are asking any one of the following questions: I am unhappy where I live, if I have the means to do so, can I move so that I can be happier? I am tired of driving the same old car, should I buy a new one that will make me happier? I feel unfulfilled where I work, can I look for a new job that will fill my day with a little more joy? I feel ignored and taken for granted in my marriage, my spouse does not meet my needs, I am unhappy, our children are miserable because we are miserable... something needs to change so that we can be happy. So here is what I want to do with the time we have left. I want to show you from the Bible three things: God expects you to seek happiness. God commands you to pursue your joy. Finding your joy/happiness is possible. By answering the above three questions, I hope that you will have a clear and biblical understanding as to whether God wants you to be happy. God Expects You to Seek Happiness (vv. 1-5) Let me begin by stating that in Psalm 95 alone, the word joy is repeated three times in the first two verses: sing for joy..., shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation, shout joyfully to Him in songs with instruments. But Psalm 95 is not the only place where such language is used; consider the language from the Bible: Delight yourself... (Ps. 37:4) Rejoice... (Phil. 4:4) Rejoice always... (1 Thess. 5:16) Let us rejoice and be glad... (Ps. 118:24) But where is it that God expects us to find our joy? Again, consider the same above verses: Delight yourself in the Lord... (Ps. 37:4) Rejoice in the Lord always... (Phil. 4:4) Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus. (1 Thess. 5:16-18) This is the day which the Lord has made, lets us rejoice and be glad in it. (Ps. 118:24) Is our happiness only to be found in God? What about verses like Ecclesiastes 9:9, does it not tell us to enjoy life while we have it? Enjoy life with the wife whom you love all the days of your futile life which He has given you under the sun, all the days of your futility; for this is your reward in life and in your work which you have labored under the sun. Yes and no. Consider the first two verses of Psalm 19 and what it says about creation: The heavens tell of the glory of God; and their expanse declares the work of His hands. Day to day pours forth speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. The heavens are what God created, and like your wife whom you love, like the life you enjoy, and everything else... it all points to the glory of the Creator! The reason why Psalm 95 begins with these words: Come, lets sing for joy to the Lord, lets shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation. Lets come before His presence with a song of thanksgiving, lets shout joyfully to Him in songs with instruments is because He is the giver of all good things! Why should we worship Yahweh? Because Psalm 95:3-5 is true of only Him: For the Lord is a great God and a great King above all gods, in whose hand are the depths of the earth, the peaks of the mountains are also His. The sea is His, for it was He who made it, and His hands formed the dry land. This is why, of the Ten Commandments, Jesus summed up the first four: You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind (Matt. 22:37; see also Deut. 6:5; Exod. 20:1-11). Listen, God expects us to seek our joy, but not ultimately in His good gifts but in the giver who gave those good gifts... namely God Himself. In fact C.S. Lewis rightfully observed from reading his Bible that, Joy is the serious business of heaven.[1] God Commands You to Pursue Your Joy (vv. 6-7) Psalm 95 begins with an imperative, which is a command: Come, lets sing for joy... Why does He command us to pursue our joy? Because we exist for something greater than the good gifts of His creation. We exist because of Him and for Him! The second imperative in Psalm 95 begins with verse 6, Come, lets worship and bow down, lets kneel before the Lord our Maker. Why are we commanded to bow before God? Because He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand (v. 7). The command to pursue our joy is not that we find it in anything, but in the One who made all things. He is God, and by definition there is nothing and no one that is greater than He is. To look for or expect our happiness or joy to be primarily found in anything or anyone else will not only leave you empty and disappointed, but is to worship the gift over the Giver! To worship the gift over the Giver is to expect from the gift the thing that only the Giver, God, can provide. C.S. Lewis wrote in his book, Reflections on the Psalms, something that I have found helpful, so I will share it with you: I think we delight to praise what we enjoy because the praise not merely expresses but completes the enjoyment; it is its appointed consummation. It is not out of compliment that lovers keep on telling one another how beautiful they are; the delight is incomplete till it is expressed. It is frustrating to have discovered a new author and not to be able to tell anyone how good he is; to come suddenly, at the turn of the road, upon some mountain valley of unexpected grandeur and then to have to keep silent because the people with you care for it no more than for a tin can in the ditch; to hear a good joke and find no one to share it with. Do you hear what C.S. Lewis is saying? We praise what we value and care about and our delight is not complete until our delight is expressed. If it is true, that there is no greater beauty, reality, or person than the God who created all that is beautiful and good, true worship cannot be experienced unless it is directed at Him. This is why the Westminster Catechism is right to begin with these words: The chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. But even on this point, C.S. Lewis made the following observation that helps us get a little closer to answering the question as to what kind of happiness God wants for us; here is what Lewis wrote: The Scotch catechism says that mans chief end is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. But we shall then know that these are the same thing. To fully enjoy is to glorify. In commanding us to glorify Him, God is inviting us to enjoy Him. John Piper took it one step further by swapping out the word and in the Westminster Catechism of Faith with the word by: The chief end of man is to glorify God byenjoying Him forever. God does expect us to seek our happiness, and He does command us to pursue our joy, but a happiness and a joy that is rooted in Him. If our happiness and joy is sought in anything other than God, it will not satisfy. However, if the pursuit of our happiness and joy is sought in Him, there will be a joy and happiness that will be rooted in a contentment in Him. This is how and why James 1:2-3 is only true for those who find their joy in Jesus Christ: Consider it all joy, my brothers and sisters, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. Finding Your Joy/Happiness is Possible (vv. 8-10) So, does God want you to be happy? Yes, He wants you to be happy in Him! Does that mean that He wants you to leave your marriage because it does not make you happy? No! Does that mean you should leave your job because it does not make you happy? No. Does that mean you should get a new car because it does not make you happy? No, not necessarily. Why? Because your happiness and joy cannot ultimately be found in anything or anyone except the God who is your Maker. When we come to Psalm 95:8, there is a shift from the command to find your joy in God to Israels rebellion while they were in the wilderness, and more specifically, the Psalm refers to something that happened in Exodus 17:1-7 not long after God saved Israel from Pharoh and his army by parting the Red Sea. While in Egypt, Israel witnessed their God and Maker do mighty deeds that should have left little room to doubt His goodness and love for His people. Even though they had no reason to doubt Gods faithfulness to them, they still struggled to believe His faithfulness to them, so they complained: So the people quarreled with Moses and said, Give us water so that we may drink (Exod. 17:2)! Moses response gives us a glimpse into 40 years of Israel in the wilderness: Moses said to them, Why do you quarrel with me? Why do you test the Lord? Throughout Israels existence, they were known for complaining and faithlessness towards God. Even after 40 years in the wilderness, God said of His people: Be appalled at this, you heavens, And shudder, be very desolate, declares the Lord. For My people have committed two evils: They have abandoned Me, the fountain of living waters, to carve out for themselves cisterns, broken cisterns that do not hold water (Jer. 2:12-13). The great evil that Israel was guilty of was that She traded God for idols that could not satisfy. Consider another example from Isaiah 55:1-3 when God invited His people to turn away from the things that could not satisfy what they really needed: You there! Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and you who have no money come, buy and eat. Come, buy wine and milk Without money and without cost. Why do you spend money for what is not bread, and your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, and delight yourself in abundance. Incline your ear and come to Me. Listen, that you may live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, according to the faithful mercies shown to David. So what happened in Exodus 17? Moses immediately brought Israels complaint before God out of a fear that they might eventually stone him to death. Moses asked, What am I to do with this people? (v. 4). Listen to the way God responded to Israels lack of faith and sin: Then the Lord said to Moses, Pass before the people and take with you some of the elders of Israel; and take in your hand your staff with which you struck the Nile, and go. Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock at Horeb; and you shall strike the rock, and water will come out of it, so that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel (17:5-6). In other words, God said to Moses: Moses, take your staff that ought to be used to strike Israel for their sins, and take your rod and strike the rock I will be standing on so that Israel will not die of thirst. In 1 Corinthians 10:1-4, the apostle Paul said that the rock Moses struck was a picture and example of what God would do to satisfy the thirst of all who desire to be satisfied. The rod of Gods judgment for our sin came down upon Jesus as the rock of our salvation! Paul said of the rock Moses struck: for they were drinking from a spiritual rock which followed them; and the rock was Christ (v. 4). Now, listen to what Jesus said in John 7:37-38, If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. The one who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water. Psalm 95 begins with these words: Come, lets sing for joy to the Lord, lets shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation. Jesus is the rock of our salvation! Again, Psalm 95 continues, Come, lets worship and bow down, lets kneel before the Lord our Maker (v. 6). Of Jesus, the Bible testifies, ...for by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones, or dominions, or rulers, or authoritiesall things have been created through Him and for Him (Col. 1:16). Because the rod of Gods holy wrath came upon Jesus in our place, we are told: And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death: death on a cross. For this reason also God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Phil. 2:8-11) The Psalmist then reminds us that not only is God our Maker, but that He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand. Today if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as at Meribah, as on the day of Massah in the wilderness... (v. 7). Can you not hear the words of Jesus in Psalm 95:7, did He not say: I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.... I am the good shepherd, and I know My own, and My own know Me.... And I have other sheep that are not of this fold; I must bring them also, and they will listen to My voice; and they will become one flock, with one shepherd (John 10:11, 14, 16). Conclusion Is joy and happiness possible for you? The answer is Yes! But it will not come from your car, through your job, or from any other person, but your Maker and the Great Shepherd of His sheep... namely Jesus! If you are seeking your happiness and joy in anything other than Jesus, then C.S. Lewis words serve as a fitting conclusion to this sermon: It would seem that Our Lord finds our desires not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling about with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea. We are far too easily pleased. God wants you to be happy and He wants you to experience joy, but it is a happiness and a joy that can only be found in Him. The joy and happiness that can only be found in God is the kind of joy and happiness that does not dissolve through suffering but sustains the sufferer because of the One from Whom true happiness and joy comes from. All people want to be happy. I have spent a lot of time with people as a pastor, and the majority of couples and individuals who met with me over the years did so because they longed to be happy. It is also true that the motivation for couples seeking marriage or divorce, the desire for a new job or the determination to quit a job, what led to substance abuse or a willingness to break an addiction is all the same: the desire to be happy. In fact, there have been people who claimed to be Christians who sought marriage, divorce, drugs, freedom from addiction, debt, and freedom from debt out of the belief that God wanted them to be happy. How about you? Do you believe God wants you to be happy? Do you believe that the ends justify the means to achieve and experience the happiness you believe God wants for you? Maybe you are asking any one of the following questions: I am unhappy where I live, if I have the means to do so, can I move so that I can be happier? I am tired of driving the same old car, should I buy a new one that will make me happier? I feel unfulfilled where I work, can I look for a new job that will fill my day with a little more joy? I feel ignored and taken for granted in my marriage, my spouse does not meet my needs, I am unhappy, our children are miserable because we are miserable... something needs to change so that we can be happy. So here is what I want to do with the time we have left. I want to show you from the Bible three things: God expects you to seek happiness. God commands you to pursue your joy. Finding your joy/happiness is possible. By answering the above three questions, I hope that you will have a clear and biblical understanding as to whether God wants you to be happy. God Expects You to Seek Happiness (vv. 1-5) Let me begin by stating that in Psalm 95 alone, the word joy is repeated three times in the first two verses: sing for joy..., shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation, shout joyfully to Him in songs with instruments. But Psalm 95 is not the only place where such language is used; consider the language from the Bible: Delight yourself... (Ps. 37:4) Rejoice... (Phil. 4:4) Rejoice always... (1 Thess. 5:16) Let us rejoice and be glad... (Ps. 118:24) But where is it that God expects us to find our joy? Again, consider the same above verses: Delight yourself in the Lord... (Ps. 37:4) Rejoice in the Lord always... (Phil. 4:4) Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus. (1 Thess. 5:16-18) This is the day which the Lord has made, lets us rejoice and be glad in it. (Ps. 118:24) Is our happiness only to be found in God? What about verses like Ecclesiastes 9:9, does it not tell us to enjoy life while we have it? Enjoy life with the wife whom you love all the days of your futile life which He has given you under the sun, all the days of your futility; for this is your reward in life and in your work which you have labored under the sun. Yes and no. Consider the first two verses of Psalm 19 and what it says about creation: The heavens tell of the glory of God; and their expanse declares the work of His hands. Day to day pours forth speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. The heavens are what God created, and like your wife whom you love, like the life you enjoy, and everything else... it all points to the glory of the Creator! The reason why Psalm 95 begins with these words: Come, lets sing for joy to the Lord, lets shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation. Lets come before His presence with a song of thanksgiving, lets shout joyfully to Him in songs with instruments is because He is the giver of all good things! Why should we worship Yahweh? Because Psalm 95:3-5 is true of only Him: For the Lord is a great God and a great King above all gods, in whose hand are the depths of the earth, the peaks of the mountains are also His. The sea is His, for it was He who made it, and His hands formed the dry land. Lewis rightfully observed from reading his Bible that, Joy is the serious business of heaven.[1] God Commands You to Pursue Your Joy (vv. 6-7) Psalm 95 begins with an imperative, which is a command: Come, lets sing for joy... Why does He command us to pursue our joy? Because we exist for something greater than the good gifts of His creation. We exist because of Him and for Him! The second imperative in Psalm 95 begins with verse 6, Come, lets worship and bow down, lets kneel before the Lord our Maker. Why are we commanded to bow before God? Because He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand (v. 7). The command to pursue our joy is not that we find it in anything, but in the One who made all things. He is God, and by definition there is nothing and no one that is greater than He is. To look for or expect our happiness or joy to be primarily found in anything or anyone else will not only leave you empty and disappointed, but is to worship the gift over the Giver! To worship the gift over the Giver is to expect from the gift the thing that only the Giver, God, can provide. C.S. Lewis wrote in his book, Reflections on the Psalms, something that I have found helpful, so I will share it with you: I think we delight to praise what we enjoy because the praise not merely expresses but completes the enjoyment; it is its appointed consummation. It is not out of compliment that lovers keep on telling one another how beautiful they are; the delight is incomplete till it is expressed. It is frustrating to have discovered a new author and not to be able to tell anyone how good he is; to come suddenly, at the turn of the road, upon some mountain valley of unexpected grandeur and then to have to keep silent because the people with you care for it no more than for a tin can in the ditch; to hear a good joke and find no one to share it with. Do you hear what C.S. Lewis is saying? We praise what we value and care about and our delight is not complete until our delight is expressed. If it is true, that there is no greater beauty, reality, or person than the God who created all that is beautiful and good, true worship cannot be experienced unless it is directed at Him. This is why the Westminster Catechism is right to begin with these words: The chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. But even on this point, C.S. Lewis made the following observation that helps us get a little closer to answering the question as to what kind of happiness God wants for us; here is what Lewis wrote: The Scotch catechism says that mans chief end is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. But we shall then know that these are the same thing. To fully enjoy is to glorify. In commanding us to glorify Him, God is inviting us to enjoy Him. John Piper took it one step further by swapping out the word and in the Westminster Catechism of Faith with the word by: The chief end of man is to glorify God byenjoying Him forever. God does expect us to seek our happiness, and He does command us to pursue our joy, but a happiness and a joy that is rooted in Him. If our happiness and joy is sought in anything other than God, it will not satisfy. However, if the pursuit of our happiness and joy is sought in Him, there will be a joy and happiness that will be rooted in a contentment in Him. This is how and why James 1:2-3 is only true for those who find their joy in Jesus Christ: Consider it all joy, my brothers and sisters, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. Finding Your Joy/Happiness is Possible (vv. 8-10) So, does God want you to be happy? Yes, He wants you to be happy in Him! Does that mean that He wants you to leave your marriage because it does not make you happy? No! Does that mean you should leave your job because it does not make you happy? No. Does that mean you should get a new car because it does not make you happy? No, not necessarily. Why? Because your happiness and joy cannot ultimately be found in anything or anyone except the God who is your Maker. When we come to Psalm 95:8, there is a shift from the command to find your joy in God to Israels rebellion while they were in the wilderness, and more specifically, the Psalm refers to something that happened in Exodus 17:1-7 not long after God saved Israel from Pharoh and his army by parting the Red Sea. While in Egypt, Israel witnessed their God and Maker do mighty deeds that should have left little room to doubt His goodness and love for His people. Even though they had no reason to doubt Gods faithfulness to them, they still struggled to believe His faithfulness to them, so they complained: So the people quarreled with Moses and said, Give us water so that we may drink (Exod. 17:2)! Moses response gives us a glimpse into 40 years of Israel in the wilderness: Moses said to them, Why do you quarrel with me? Why do you test the Lord? Throughout Israels existence, they were known for complaining and faithlessness towards God. Even after 40 years in the wilderness, God said of His people: Be appalled at this, you heavens, And shudder, be very desolate, declares the Lord. For My people have committed two evils: They have abandoned Me, the fountain of living waters, to carve out for themselves cisterns, broken cisterns that do not hold water (Jer. 2:12-13). The great evil that Israel was guilty of was that She traded God for idols that could not satisfy. Consider another example from Isaiah 55:1-3 when God invited His people to turn away from the things that could not satisfy what they really needed: You there! Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and you who have no money come, buy and eat. Come, buy wine and milk Without money and without cost. Why do you spend money for what is not bread, and your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, and delight yourself in abundance. Incline your ear and come to Me. Listen, that you may live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, according to the faithful mercies shown to David. So what happened in Exodus 17? Moses immediately brought Israels complaint before God out of a fear that they might eventually stone him to death. Moses asked, What am I to do with this people? (v. 4). Listen to the way God responded to Israels lack of faith and sin: Then the Lord said to Moses, Pass before the people and take with you some of the elders of Israel; and take in your hand your staff with which you struck the Nile, and go. Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock at Horeb; and you shall strike the rock, and water will come out of it, so that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel (17:5-6). In other words, God said to Moses: Moses, take your staff that ought to be used to strike Israel for their sins, and take your rod and strike the rock I will be standing on so that Israel will not die of thirst. In 1 Corinthians 10:1-4, the apostle Paul said that the rock Moses struck was a picture and example of what God would do to satisfy the thirst of all who desire to be satisfied. The rod of Gods judgment for our sin came down upon Jesus as the rock of our salvation! Paul said of the rock Moses struck: for they were drinking from a spiritual rock which followed them; and the rock was Christ (v. 4). Now, listen to what Jesus said in John 7:37-38, If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. The one who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water. Psalm 95 begins with these words: Come, lets sing for joy to the Lord, lets shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation. Jesus is the rock of our salvation! Again, Psalm 95 continues, Come, lets worship and bow down, lets kneel before the Lord our Maker (v. 6). Of Jesus, the Bible testifies, ...for by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones, or dominions, or rulers, or authoritiesall things have been created through Him and for Him (Col. 1:16). Because the rod of Gods holy wrath came upon Jesus in our place, we are told: And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death: death on a cross. For this reason also God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Phil. 2:8-11) The Psalmist then reminds us that not only is God our Maker, but that He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand. Today if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as at Meribah, as on the day of Massah in the wilderness... (v. 7). Can you not hear the words of Jesus in Psalm 95:7, did He not say: I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.... I am the good shepherd, and I know My own, and My own know Me.... And I have other sheep that are not of this fold; I must bring them also, and they will listen to My voice; and they will become one flock, with one shepherd (John 10:11, 14, 16). Conclusion Is joy and happiness possible for you? The answer is Yes! But it will not come from your car, through your job, or from any other person, but your Maker and the Great Shepherd of His sheep... namely Jesus! If you are seeking your happiness and joy in anything other than Jesus, then C.S. Lewis words serve as a fitting conclusion to this sermon: It would seem that Our Lord finds our desires not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling about with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea. We are far too easily pleased. God wants you to be happy and He wants you to experience joy, but it is a happiness and a joy that can only be found in Him. The joy and happiness that can only be found in God is the kind of joy and happiness that does not dissolve through suffering but sustains the sufferer because of the One from Whom true happiness and joy comes from. A Fake Christianity (4) (Audio) David Eells – 1/12/25 Ask for the Old Paths A.F.- 08/21/2007 (David's notes in red) This dream was so strong and memorable that I knew I needed to pay attention. I dreamed my husband and I bought a new house. It was actually a very old house (the house the Lord raised up 2000 years ago). It had been converted to a restaurant (to feed the true Word). We intended to convert it back to a house. (getting back to what was ordained of God: 1Jn.2:24 As for you, let that abide in you which ye heard from the beginning. If that which ye heard from the beginning abide in you, ye also shall abide in the Son, and in the Father.). It was awful. The decor was old and rotten. Full of heavy, dusty drapes and old furniture made from rare exotic wood but now out of date and unappealing (because of a falling away the original house has fallen into disrepair). As we took possession of the house, we started exploring all the rooms. Many rooms had been added on over the years. (Rev.22:18 I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, if any man shall add unto them, God shall add unto him the plagues which are written in this book.) The front porch had been converted to a trinket shop full of tacky crafts and dusty Christmas junk (Since man-made religious systems are not supported by God through the faith of the leaders, they resort to Babylonish merchandising.). When I was examining the porch I pulled back the nasty, rotten carpet and found a good clean wood deck underneath (the old foundation). I made a mental note to rip up the carpet, dump the trinkets and merchandise and restore the porch to a place where you could sit and rest (a place to rest from man's works on God's Sabbath). From the porch, there was a stairway that led to another part of the house that had been added on and I was shocked to see how big the house had gotten (Again adding to the Word brings a curse. It was big but not good or effective, like the mega-churches). This particular wing was like a whole house in itself but it obviously had been used for commercial business offices (the merchants of Babylon). There was one narrow blue (heavenly) tiled staircase in this part of the house that had been closed off (men have closed off Jacob's Ladder [Hebrew: staircase] which represented the true path to heaven [Gen.28:12]. Luk.11:52 Woe unto you lawyers! for ye took away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.). In the dream I knew it had once led to a pool or water source of some kind (to the true source of the living Waters of the Spirit Word). Even though it was roped off I tried to look up the staircase and was startled to see what appeared to be an angel at the top (The ministering spirit angels ascended and descended between Jacob and God. Jesus, the Word, said that He was this staircase, the way to heaven and God's way to us [Jn.1:51].). Then the angel began walking down the stairs, saying the area was closed, and then disappeared (It won't be closed much longer; Jesus is coming in His firstfruits to lead the church back to the water of life.). As I toured the house, making notes about what I would do to renovate it, I had a baby boy with me. Sometimes I carried him; sometimes he toddled beside me holding my hand tightly. I knew he was not my natural child but one that I was caring for and I wanted to keep him close to me (The fruit of Christ in the spirit man coming to those who seek the old house with the “old paths.”). I think the house definitely represents apostate religion. It has been used for business for too long and is now rotten and meaningless. I assume the baby boy is the man-child ministry. (The man-child will lead the true called-out ones back to the “old paths.”). Jer.6:16 Thus saith Jehovah, Stand ye in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way; and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls: but they said, We will not walk [therein]. 17 And I set watchmen over you, [saying], Hearken to the sound of the trumpet; but they said, We will not hearken. 18 Therefore hear, ye nations, and know, O congregation, what is among them. 19 Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words; and as for my law, they have rejected it. Jude 1:3 Beloved, while I was giving all diligence to write unto you of our common salvation, I was constrained to write unto you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered unto the saints. 4 For there are certain men crept in privily, [even] they who were of old written of beforehand unto this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness (a license for self-will), and denying our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. Apostate leaders have denied Jesus the Lordship of His Church.   God Reveals the Apostate Leadership B.A. - 06/21/2015 (David's notes in red) I dreamed I was inside a two-story house (which represents Heaven and Earth) with a family of seven children who were all boys. (The leadership of the seven churches of Revelation, six of whom represent the apostate leadership of the six church types that were corrected by the Lord in revelation. One is the Man-child leadership of the Philadelphia Church of brotherly love that was praised by the Lord and promised to escape the hour of trial. Rev.3:7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth and none shall shut, and that shutteth and none openeth: 8 I know thy works (behold, I have set before thee a door opened, which none can shut), that thou hast a little power, and didst keep my word, and didst not deny my name. 9 Behold, I give of the synagogue of Satan, of them that say they are Jews, and they are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. 10 Because thou didst keep the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of trial, that hour which is to come upon the whole world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. 11 I come quickly: hold fast that which thou hast, that no one take thy crown. 12 He that overcometh, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go out thence no more: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God, and mine own new name. 13 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches.) I was standing in the living room on the first floor (which represents the earth; things that are earthly and not from above or Heavenly). (Col.3:2 Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are upon the earth. Mat.16:23 But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art a stumbling-block unto me: for thou mindest not the things of God, but the things of men. And Php.3:18 For many walk, of whom I told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: 19 whose end is perdition, whose god is the belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things. 20 whose end is perdition, whose god is the belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things. 21 who shall fashion anew the body of our humiliation, that it may be conformed to the body of his glory, according to the working whereby he is able even to subject all things unto himself.) Immediately, I was sent to the basement level (a place of darkness and deceit) of this home where six of the boys had their bedrooms, along with their mother. (Representing the corporate body of the earthly Church.) The father was not home but in the dream; I knew that “the father” was at work. (The Father is at work to reform the six churches and their leaders through judgment.) Joh.1:5 And the light shineth in the darkness; and the darkness apprehended it not. Mat.5:15 Neither do men light a lamp, and put it under the bushel, but on the stand; and it shineth unto all that are in the house. I was allowed to enter into each of the children's bedrooms to inspect the condition of their rooms. (As the Lord did to the six churches in Revelations.) Upon entering each of their rooms, I immediately detected a foul, uninviting odor. (This is the smell of rebellion) Amo.4:10 I have sent among you the pestilence after the manner of Egypt: your young men have I slain with the sword, and have carried away your horses; and I have made the stench of your camp to come up even into your nostrils: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith Jehovah. Their rooms were filthy with dust and dirt everywhere. (Uncleanness represents a lack of sanctification, “without which no man shall see the Lord” [Heb12.14].) I could tell that their rooms had not been cleaned in a very long time. I also opened each of their closet doors and inspected their garments. I wasn't surprised to find filthy, dirty, stinky clothes lying all over the floor. (Garments represent our works.) There were vulgar posters and other disgusting things hanging all over their walls as well. (That which they admire is sin.) I went into their mother's bedroom and it wasn't any better! (The mother reflects the children because they are born from her and are a part of her body.) Also, I was led to go into the basement bathroom that they all shared and it was covered in filth and had a very foul odor as well. I began to pray, as an evil spirit of darkness, like a thick black cloud, was all around me. (The church today reflects nothing we see in the example of the Church in the word.) After this, I was led back up to the first level and found myself in the kitchen, where the mother (apostate church) was preparing food (doctrine of demons) for six of her children. 1Ti.4:1 But the Spirit saith expressly, that in later times some shall fall away from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons, 2 through the hypocrisy of men that speak lies, branded in their own conscience as with a hot iron. I watched as she placed the food she had prepared onto each of their plates. I couldn't help but notice that the food looked and smelled spoiled and inedible to me, and it was amazing to me how none of them could detect the foul odor or see the spoiled condition of this food. (They have even been known to appreciate the terrible spiritual food fed in the churches. Their leadership has eaten it but they also feed it to the children.) (No spiritual discernment whatsoever! 2Th.2:11 And for this cause God sendeth them a working of error, that they should believe a lie: 12 that they all might be judged who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.) What will happen to the false leadership and their followers is history repeated. They are going into captivity to be devoured by the curse, in hope of their repentance. In Ezekiel 17, there were two great eagles, representing two portions of the great eagle of America; i.e., a civil war. One great eagle was D.S. Babylon which was conquering the eagle of Egypt. Representing God's people who were trusting in Egypt, their arm of flesh, to save them from D.S.Babylon that brought them into captivity. The morning I received this dream I also received Zechariah 5, the story of the apostate woman going into Babylonish captivity. This is an answer to what will happen to the woman and her offspring. At the same time, we received Jeremiah 46:19-28, which is Egypt conquered by Babylon. Many people of God had fled to Egypt to escape the Babylonish captivity, which means they trusted in the arm of flesh and were not in right standing with God to escape. In this text, a remnant learned their lesson and returned to their land, as also in Jeremiah 44:11-14. Then we received the same story again in Hosea 7:7-8:7. Some look around and think that the Satanists, communists, homosexuals, leftists, etc. are tearing down the country and they say it's because we have a bad president. No, he was sent by God. God's Word says that because we have bad Christians, “He” has been tearing down the country with bad leadership. The answer is not to fight or run; the answer is to repent. God took credit in the Bible for sending many kingdoms to conquer His people when they were apostates. Why is it they don't see this? It is because of their lack of love for the truth that they are happily fed garbage by the preachers.  God's people forgot how to read.) Then I found myself standing inside the room of the seventh son. (The place of the Philadelphia Church of brotherly love. The seventh is the place of rest; of abiding in Christ, of Jesus, our dwelling place and refuge.) Psa.91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of Jehovah, He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in whom I trust.) Upon entering his room, it had the smell of a room that had just been wiped clean. A fresh and inviting aroma permeated the entire room. 2Co.2:15 For we are a sweet savor of Christ unto God, in them that are saved, and in them that perish; 16 to the one a savor from death unto death; to the other a savor from life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things? 17 For we are not as the many, corrupting the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God, speak we in Christ. I noticed that his bed (resting in the Lord) had been meticulously made. I could see that much care had gone into the making of his bed. (The rest in faith in the Lord's promises is what sanctifies and saves. Those who ran down to Egypt in their own works of the flesh to be saved are in Isa.30:1-3 Woe to the rebellious children, saith Jehovah, that take counsel, but not of me; and that make a league, but not of my Spirit, that they may add sin to sin, 2 that set out to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to take refuge in the shadow of Egypt! 3 Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame, and the refuge in the shadow of Egypt your confusion. He said to them in Isa.30:15 For thus said the Lord Jehovah, the Holy One of Israel, In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength. And ye would not: 16 but ye said, No, for we will flee upon horses (trusting in their flesh of the Beast); therefore shall ye flee: and, We will ride upon the swift; therefore shall they that pursue you be swift. 17 One thousand shall flee at the threat of one; at the threat of five shall ye flee: till ye be left as a beacon upon the top of a mountain, and as an ensign on a hill. i.e., a remnant.) I listened as he was praying for his family below in the kitchen. And as he was praying, I saw food come down out of Heaven and enter into his body. End of dream. Psa.78:24 And he rained down manna upon them to eat, And gave them food from heaven. Joh.6:31 Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written, He gave them bread out of heaven to eat. 32 Jesus therefore said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, It was not Moses that gave you the bread out of heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread out of heaven. 33 For the bread of God is that which cometh down out of heaven, and giveth life unto the world. (The Philadelphia Church is also typed as the Bride, the Church of the Man-child.) Also read confirmations: Church of Brotherly Love Man-child: Born of Philadelphia Church   Vision of Two Rivers Josh Fontaine - 09/01/2015 (David's notes in red) This is a good exhortation. As I looked at this vision, I saw that it was not speaking of two rivers, one good and one bad, but one river which started out clean but was polluted more and more as it passed through man's hands and went downstream. We were all given the Bible from the mountain of God's Kingdom. It is truth, it is pure, but many self-ordained, man-ordained shepherds have perverted it to divide the flock unto themselves. Their walk will not permit them to see the truth and purity. Their idols have deceived them, as in Ezekiel 14. The story of this vision is in Ezekiel 34 and you will notice they had the clear waters in their hand but decided to tweak it to confirm their own evil walk or lifestyles. Eze.34:18 Seemeth it a small thing unto you to have fed upon the good pasture, but ye must tread down with your feet the residue of your pasture? and to have drunk of the clear waters, but ye must foul the residue with your feet? 19 And as for my sheep, they eat that which ye have trodden with your feet (or walk), and they drink that which ye have fouled with your feet. This is saying, don't trust second-hand and third-hand, etc. word; go straight to the head of the river and read the Bible and listen to the Spirit for yourself. Php.2:12 So then, my beloved, even as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Dirty water will not clean the church. Eph.5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for it; 26 that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word, 27 that he might present the church to himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. In July, I received a vision from the Lord concerning polluted waters and bad fruit. Before I share that vision, I would like to say that I love the church! I'm passionate about the church and I'm more convinced than ever that the church is God's answer for the world. Having said that, it is also important to recognize that we aren't where we should be and the Lord is answering with a pure move of His Spirit in our day. I will attempt to share this vision just as I received it and not add any of my own opinions to it. In the vision, the Lord and I were together in a great valley that stretched several miles in each direction from where we were standing. The Lord led me to the banks of this river and it was a relatively wide river with rapidly-moving water. As we approached the banks, I began to notice a horrible smell coming from the water. Once we reached the edge of the bank, the smell was overpowering me and it reeked like severely stagnant water and when I looked down into it, there was no life in this water, other than tadpoles and leeches, but no vegetation or fish. What I was seeing didn't make sense to me because this was an active, rapidly moving river and should have been full of life. I asked the Lord how this water could be stagnant yet moving so rapidly. The Lord spoke to me and said that this water wasn't stagnant; it was polluted. He then took me up the river to the mouth of it. The river was flowing out of the side of a mountain. Located at the corner of the valley and the mountain there was a very large factory. It was surrounded by a very high fence with razor wire across the top. The large door had a sign written across the top of the door that read “The Modern Church”. At all four corners were high watchtowers with armed guards on each of them. The Lord spoke to me and said that these watchmen were looking for an enemy, but I thought it wasn't the enemy. I asked the Lord whom they considered their enemy and He said that they were watching for any man or woman who would dare challenge the practices of the modern church. He then told me that they were highly trained character assassins and they would stop at nothing to silence the voices of those who would speak out and challenge carnal practices of the modern church system. We went behind the factory where the river ran beside it and there was a concrete ramp leading down into the water. There were people dumping barrels of substances into this water. Each barrel was labeled. I saw labels like: humanism, universalism, carnality, lust, sexual immorality, compromise, greed, and fear of man. He then led me down the river and we came upon a large fruit field. We crossed a bridge and approached the trees. These trees were some of the greenest trees I've ever seen, but when I approached them they were either void of any fruit, or the fruit was molded, rotten and infested by insects. The Lord told me that these trees were meant to bear good fruit, but the roots were tapped into contaminated and polluted water. We then moved farther down the river to a village. I saw people walking around this village. The people were very trendy and modern in their style and dress. I walked up to a man with his back to me and touched his shoulder. He turned around and I stepped back because his eyes were whited out and he was zombified. Death was in his face. I began to declare to him that he was dead, but that I could lead him to life. He began to defend his position with all sorts of philosophies and nothing I said was impacting him. I asked the Lord why the man wouldn't hear me and He said because “He wouldn't endure sound doctrine”. The Lord then told me that this man was the product of people eating rotten fruit and drinking from polluted waters. The part that stood out the most about this encounter with this man was the fact that he was utterly convinced he was alive. He couldn't be convinced of his condition. From here, the Lord then took me into the mountain where the river began. He took me past the factory and into a cave where the water was coming out. He took me up into the mountain and the water flowing through this mountain was the clearest, most beautiful water I've ever seen. (The polluted river had one beginning, one mouth, and it was clean. Its beginning is the Word of the Lord in the mountain that represents the Kingdom of God.) This water was living and vibrant. The Lord spoke to me that this river was the pure movement of His Spirit. He told me that this river was where His power and anointing was found. He said that many people are looking for Him in the “valley of man”, but He wasn't found there. He was found in the hill of the Lord. (This reminds me of Ezekiel 34 where the shepherds partook from the pure waters of the Word but fouled it by their own walk. It was their own factory to turn out duplicates of themselves, so God's solution was to depart from them and take His sheep and minister to them the pure water through his end-time David Man-children.) He told me that He was issuing an invitation to His people to come and flow in this river. He said that even though the invitation was to all of His ministers, many wouldn't tap into it because of what was going to be required to flow there. (They would have to take up their cross to lose their old life but their love of the world won't permit it.) He then gave me the following requirements to stay in the pure river: Only say what He says with no fear of man Honor Him and love Him more than the praise of man Abstain from sexual immorality Never prostitute the gift He has given me for money Stay humble Always be a good husband to my wife and a good father to my children He said if I would maintain these things in my life and ministry, He would allow me to flow in His pure river. He then said if I violate any of these things then I would no longer be able to stay in the mountain of God. He then quoted Psa.24:3 Who may ascend the hill of the Lord? Who may stand in His holy place? 4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart; who has not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. 5 He will receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. He said that many ministers begin their ministries in the clean river, but after time, find themselves in the valley. He warned me strongly that once you go down to the valley, though it's possible to make your way back to the mountain, it is almost impossible because many times it will require public repentance and public humility. Many have trouble dealing with their pride in doing that. My prayer in this hour is that the true church of Jesus Christ would rise up with clean hands and pure hearts. There are two rivers flowing. Let's decide to flow where He is flowing.   Satan's Latter Rain Valerie Gleaton - 08/25/2009 (David's notes in red) I wanted to share with you a dream I had in 1996. I told my friend about it the next day because it was a little frightening to me. A few days later, we were at Blockbuster and I ended up renting a film on Nostradamus. (Nostradamus was a false prophet who used occult practices, witchcraft and divination.) I must tell you, I never had an interest in him, nor could I understand why I was compelled to rent this film. I went home and we began to watch the film. I was working on my laptop at the time and really wasn't paying attention to the movie and all of a sudden, I looked up at the TV and witnessed my exact dream unfolding. My friend looked at me and clearly exclaimed, “That's your dream!” I've never shared it with any of my former pastors because I believed they would not be able to help me understand it. It would be great if you could provide me with an understanding of it. This dream is still as vivid to me today as if I had it last night. The setting was an Old English-type. I had exited from this old, stone building leading out to a cobblestone street. (The stone building is God's true Church of old times, for we are the stones of His Church when we “contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered unto the saints”. The stone street is walking on the Word of God.) There was a black full-size car parked across the street next to a two-foot, stacked, stone wall. Just as I reached the rear of the car, I looked up and saw the clouds turn dark gray and they began to roll like storm clouds. (Coming tribulations.) Then they rolled back and black rain began to come down on my children and me. (This is Satan's latter rain of false anointings and doctrines coming to attack the church. Nostradamus was used to symbolize these. He not only was into divination, a false prophecy anointing but was also devoted to Catholicism and its false doctrines. “Catholic Church” means “Universal Church” because it was a unifying of false religions, including apostate Christianity, into a one-world order religion, a type for our day. This black rain is like the Dragon/Serpent of Rev.12:15-16 spewing a river of lies out of his mouth to catch the woman and her children, but the earth swallowed these lies.) Crying with panic, I ushered my children into the car and told the driver to get them out of there. They were crying and did not want to leave me. As they drove off, they were up in the rear window, crying and reaching out for me. (The immature will have to be carried out of this deception to the secret place of the Most High by the mature - Rev.12:14; Psa.91.) I picked up a bicycle and prepared to ride it, as I stood and watched them go down the hill. (Children have to be carried on four wheels but riding a bicycle represents balance, without which one falls, and forward motion, without which one falls.) End of dream. In the film, it was exactly the same, except it was a Caucasian man and his two children, a boy and a girl, whereas I had three children, a girl and two boys.   False Knowledge and the Great Falling Away G.W. - 05/21/2008 (David's notes in red) I had a dream of walking into this beautiful glass building. As I looked into the room, I noticed that there were stacks and stacks of books everywhere in this room. I then looked up into the air of this building and I noticed people falling out of the air on top of these books. They would land on the stacks of books and fall down dead. I then looked up again to where they were falling from and instantly I was on the top balcony of where these people were falling from. I then saw a guy that was about to jump off the balcony onto the books below. I noticed in his hand was the first chapter of Ephesians. I then began to warn him, “Do not jump! You have to look at the Bible that is in your hand!” Without any hesitation, he said, “Oh, no. I'm going to jump.” He then turned around and jumped to his death without any hesitation. I then turned around and I saw this large wooden room that was empty. Immediately I sensed demonic presence all around the room. I began to cast out the presence in Jesus' Name. Immediately I awoke in the fear of God to meditate on the dream and 2 Thessalonians 2:3 came to mind: “let no man beguile you in any wise: for it will not be, except the falling away come first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition”. The very evil heart of the glass house of apostate religion is not hidden from God or man. These people are relying on false perceptions of the sure salvation mentioned in Ephesians 1. They are trusting in all the false knowledge of the books that religious men have written to give them a false justification and eternal security. Their false hope is that this will cushion their fall from grace to spiritual death(?)   Resting in the Midst of Chaos K. H. - 05/20/2011 (David's notes in red) At the beginning of the dream, I was with two other young women in the living room of a one-story white house. (Curt Bryan had a dream that we were all in a white house and I was warning people to stay inside; a fire was outside and it burned everything a foot deep but it stopped at the property line.) Shortly after I realized I was there in the room, I felt in my spirit that we needed to hide because someone was coming to look for us. So, we all crouched down under the windowsill. Then I saw a man dressed in all black with a button-down shirt and nice pants. It looked like a uniform but it had no identifying marks on it. He ran up to the window and looked in the house to see us but he couldn't see us. Psa.91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I noticed that the window was open slightly and there was a screen blocking him from being able to stick his hand in the house but he pulled a long sewing needle out of his pocket and stuck it through one of the holes and tapped the windowsill with the needle. He quickly removed the needle and ran away from the house. As soon as he ran away, I looked outside the house and saw there was chaos like I had never seen in the street. People were running all over the place and there were burning homes and lots of destruction all over the area. I was unsure of what had happened to cause this chaos but I knew it was a judgment from the Lord. As I was looking at what was happening, I noticed a sister from our local fellowship. She was standing outside of her house and looking at what was going on. It struck me because, just like me, she was at peace. (In these times ahead, we will see many things that will be troubling and will cause unrest amongst many people around the world but His children who abide in Him will have peace. Praise God! Joh.14:26 But the Comforter, even the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said unto you. 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful. Then, I saw a group of between 10-20 dark-skinned men running up the street. (Those walking in darkness.) I was surprised to see that their heads were on fire; they had been burning for so long that their brains were exposed. (When I told my mom about their heads being on fire, my mom said, “Coals of fire.” (These are the enemies who have persecuted God's people and are under His wrath for it. Rom.12:20 But if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him to drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head.) This led me to look up Psalm 18 which is about judgment and preservation.) The men ran to a house a few houses away from the house I was at and stopped. One man ran up to the front door and knocked. Reverend Jesse Jackson answered the door. The man asked him, “Why is this happening to us?” He said, “You're toxic!” (And you are in bad shape if Jesse is looking down on you and considers you toxic.) I then was back in the house with the other two women and I had a feeling in my spirit that I needed to go because the uniformed man from the beginning of the dream was coming back with more men to lay siege to the house I was in. I immediately was translated from where I was. (There is no place that God cannot save you. Translations will be very common in the days ahead.) The next thing I knew, I was on a very green mountain top and the sun was shining very brightly. On the right, in the corner of my eye, I saw a large shadow coming and as I looked up I saw that it was huge wings overhead, covering me. (I was reminded of Psa.36:7 How precious is thy lovingkindness, O God! And the children of men take refuge under the shadow of thy wings.) Then I woke up. (It is the Psalm 91 Passover.) Shortly after I woke up, the Lord spoke this scripture to me: Isa.63:8 For he said, Surely, they are my people, children that will not deal falsely: so he was their Saviour. I then read the verses above and below that verse that He spoke to, which says: 7 I will make mention of the lovingkindnesses of Jehovah, and the praises of Jehovah, according to all that Jehovah hath bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he hath bestowed on them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses. 8 For he said, Surely, they are my people, children that will not deal falsely: so he was their Saviour. 9 In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old. The understanding that the Lord gave me about this dream was that there was nothing to worry about in the times to come, just to stay close to Him and trust Him to protect and watch over me and the rest of His children. Thank you, Lord!   Why BUY Strong Delusion? B.A. - 04/20/2012 (David's notes in red) I dreamed I was in some kind of strange church building with no name. (It did not have the name, which means the true nature, character and authority of God, and it was strange because I didn't recognize their Jesus.) 2Pe.2:1 But there arose false prophets also among the people, as among you also there shall be false teachers, who shall privily bring in destructive heresies, denying even the Master that bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many shall follow their lascivious doings; by reason of whom the way of the truth shall be evil spoken of. I saw a long line of people going down to an altar to look into a small bowl (the golden calf). Exo.32:1 And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down from the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we know not what is become of him. 2 And Aaron said unto them, Break off the golden rings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your sons, and of your daughters, and bring them unto me. 3 And all the people brake off the golden rings which were in their ears, and brought them unto Aaron. 4 And he received it at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, and made it a molten calf: and they said, These are thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. On their way to the bowl, there was a large coffer and people would walk by and throw their money into the coffer, then they would proceed on for their opportunity to look inside this bowl. (This is the way that leads to death -- laying up an earthly treasure in an earthly box, trying to buy their way into God's gifts.) Mat.6:19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth consume, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 for where thy treasure is, there will thy heart be also. I watched this for a while and was curious as to what was in that bowl and why some people were giving large amounts of money just to get the privilege of looking into this bowl. Pro.14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man; But the end thereof are the ways of death. I watched as a man in a nice business suit (trying to make the flesh look good) went up to the coffer and put in a large check. I thought to myself, Wow, there must be something really special in that bowl. I decided to go have a look inside this bowl for myself. I didn't have any money with me to put into this coffer, but no one was paying attention to me anyway. (I wasn't trying to buy my way into God's kingdom. Also, I didn't look like them, so they weren't interested in me.) As I approached the bowl (idol), I could detect a foul odor. (Worshipping idols and walking in unholiness is a stench in the nostrils of God. We can be a sweet aroma to God in repentance and cleansing from sin.) (Num.15:3) And will make an offering by fire unto the LORD, a burnt offering, or a sacrifice in performing a vow, or in a freewill offering, or in your solemn feasts, to make a sweet savior unto the LORD, of the herd, or of the flock. It didn't seem to bother anyone else, but as I got closer to the bowl the smell became almost unbearable, like fire and brimstone. I quickly looked down into the bowl and, to my surprise, all I saw was the bottom of the bowl. I thought to myself, What are these people paying for? I don't see anything. (People are pouring money into churches that offer no spirituality in return whereas the Lord gives freely. Isa 55:1-3 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.  2  Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labor for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.  3  Incline your ear, and come unto me; hear, and your soul shall live: and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David. Jesus commanded His disciples in Mat.10:8, “freely you have received, freely give.”) The smell of the bowl was so overwhelming that I had to go outside and get some fresh air (a fresh breath of the Holy Spirit outside the camp where a legitimate sacrifice of flesh should be). I saw a couple of people standing around, so I went up to them and asked them, “What did you see in the bowl?” A woman who was standing in the group with a lot of makeup on her face (apostate church [faking spiritual beauty] and hiding behind their false doctrine), spoke up and asked me, “What did you mean by asking that question?” I said, “Well, I went and looked into the bowl and I didn't see anything but the bottom of the bowl”. She said to me, “If you had spiritual eyes like we do, you wouldn't have any trouble seeing what was in the bowl”. (Having self-delusion and pride will keep anyone from God's gift of true spiritual sight.) Joh.3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Rom.8:5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 2Co.4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. Rom.1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified [him] not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools. And Rom.11:10 Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway. Her words troubled me, as I believe that I do have spiritual eyes to see. There was a bench nearby, so I decided to go over and sit down to think about this bowl and what this woman said to me. As I was sitting there, an elderly man came up to me and asked if he could share the bench with me (a messenger from God). I said, “Sure, there's plenty of room for the both of us”. He said, “I couldn't help but notice your troubled face. I'd like to listen if you would like to share what's troubling you”. So I told this nice man about the bowl and what the woman had said to me. I told him I was concerned because I thought I did have spiritual eyes and didn't know why I couldn't see what they saw. (Those of us who come to the true knowledge of God will not have any problems seeing through the lies with our spiritual eyes.) This kind, elderly man said to me, “Daughter (Jesus?), you do have spiritual eyes and there is nothing wrong with your spiritual eyes”. I said, “Then why couldn't I see what was in that bowl like the other people?” He said to me, “It's their eyes that can't see”. They have hardened their hearts to the truth, therefore, God sent them a strong delusion to believe a lie. 2Th.2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. I said, “I don't understand what you mean. Can you please explain what you mean to me?” He said, “Did you notice that they all had to pay and some had to pay dearly for the privilege of looking into that bowl? That's not acceptable to God”. (The Lord means charging people a tithe by putting them under the law in the New Testament for their bowl of spiritual food is an abomination. If you have to buy it, then it's not true food. God wants a freewill offering from the heart -- 2 Corinthians 9:7. Jesus said tithing was of the Law -- Matthew 23:23-24. Ministers must freely give what they freely received and walk by faith -- [Read Greed and the Tithe.] Because of Jesus' commands they learned to walk by faith. Mat 10:8-10  Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons: freely ye received, freely give.  9  Get you no gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses;  10  no wallet for your journey, neither two coats, nor shoes, nor staff: for the laborer is worthy of his food. Eph.2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. He said, “When they looked into that bowl, each one of them saw what they wanted to see or what they paid to see. The truth of the matter is, there was nothing in the bowl, as you saw for yourself; and because you did not pay to look into the bowl, the Lord allowed you to see the truth.” Mat.6:22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. If your eye is totally focused on Jesus Christ, who is “the light of the world”, then everything that enters into you will be Him and you will be full of Him. When you are full of Him, you are like Him. PTL!   Beware the Flood of the Serpent G.C. - 09/11/2008 (David's notes in red) The living waters that Jesus said would flow out of believers are thoughts, words and ways of the kingdom, which bring life. The waters that the serpent casts out of his mouth in Revelation 12 to destroy the woman are the thoughts, words and ways of the devil sent to pervert and destroy God's people. The strong have been able to use the media of the world in relative safety but it is becoming more and more dangerous as porn is common on TV and even religious TV and radio are imparting demons to Christians. The time will soon come when we should use none of their media and is here already in most cases. The wilderness will become more and more separation from the things of the World. UBM intends by God's grace to create a Christian channel that will be Unleavened Bread to feed God's people. God's people were warned in Exodus 12 that during the last seven days, as types of years, if leaven was found in the people's houses they would be cut off from His people. If a little leaven leavens the whole lump, what will a lot of leaven do from the world? There can be no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness even now. Fellowship is giving and receiving. When we go to the world it should be only giving and not receiving of their thoughts, words and ways. In any relationship with the lost we are not to be yoked to unbelievers. Permission is only given in marriage when the believer is already married to one so that they may be saved through your faith and example. In a dream, I was living a simple existence in the deep woods. Anytime I needed to travel somewhere, I would swim through a deep creek that would take me anywhere I needed to go. This creek was my lifeline to the outside world. I did not have a car or any means of transportation, so the creek was my bridge to the outside. I enjoyed the creek and was pleased to be able to use it. At some point in the dream, I was standing on the bank of the creek with my brother in the Lord, CJ. We looked over to our left and saw a massive wall of floodwater rushing toward us from upstream. The floodwater swept through the area and swelled the creek. After the floodwaters came through, the creek was polluted. The floodwaters had brought massive amounts of large snakes and fish into the creek. CJ and I could see all types of large snakes on the shores of the creek and hanging from the trees, as well as swimming through the water, all of which were brought in from the floodwaters. The creek no longer appeared safe and useful like it had once been. CJ said that he would never get in the creek again because of all the snakes. I told him that I was not afraid of the snakes, and they could not hurt me. I don't know if this was false bravado or confidence in the Lord, but nonetheless I was not about to let these snakes scare me off from using the creek. I told CJ I was going to swim in the creek like I had always done. I got in the creek and began to swim through it. I could feel all the fish and snakes in the water; my feet would brush against them and it would feel strange but I continued swimming. I noticed a lot of snakes but I was not scared, even though many of them seemed dangerous. Then after a few minutes of swimming, I glanced backwards and saw a very large, hideous snake coming toward me. For the first time I began to realize this was not a good idea, and I realized the creek was no longer a safe place. The snake swam up to me and he was two feet around and had rows of razor-sharp teeth like a shark's. He was going to bite me for sure! I straddled him, put my hands inside his mouth, and grabbed onto his jaws to keep him from biting me. To my surprise he could not or would not bite me; he could have easily bitten my hands off but somehow his jaws were frozen. I managed to swim back to shore and vowed never to use the creek again. It was no longer the same useful tool that it had once been; now it was totally overtaken by vile creatures. Over and over I keep seeing the verse, even in the dream this came to mind. The floodwaters that rushed through the area reminded me of it: Rev.12:14 And there were given to the woman the two wings of the great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness unto her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. 15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth after the woman water as a river, that he might cause her to be carried away by the stream. 16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth and swallowed up the river which the dragon cast out of his mouth. I strongly feel that the creek is our connection to the world; it is our comfort zone. It represents habit, ease and easy access to modern society. I was living in the wilderness but I still had this way to the world if I wanted, like a bridge. As Christians, we live in the world but we are not supposed to be like the world. In the past, it has been possible for Christians to do who live amongst society, all the while remaining spotless. But I feel that there is coming a time that if we do not completely and utterly abandon everyday modern habits of interacting carelessly in secular society, we ourselves will become demon-infested. For a long time, God has had grace on many in the kingdom because of the fact that it's almost impossible to completely separate yourself from society and the world. But I feel there is coming a time, and now is, that the world and its members will be so full of evil and demonic oppression that we will have to completely separate ourselves from them, except to give the message of the Gospel. Our whole being will be solely for the Gospel -- nothing else. I feel that once the Serpent's flood comes at the beginning of the wilderness God will totally cut off and curse our bridges to the world. He is doing this because he is cutting off Egypt and He does not want us to swallow the polluted rivers of water that the whole earth is about to drink. There is about to be a great demonic outbreak and God is going to spiritually quarantine us by destroying all those old paths and bridges to the world. God is warning us that He is about to curse Egypt and make a separation between them and His people, to keep us from receiving their plagues. The things that God has had grace on for years are about to expire and He will no longer allow safe passage back and forth from Egypt to the wilderness. If we seek to continue traveling to and fro, from the two worlds like an open border we may very well lose our life.   God Said, “Go! Gather the People!” B.A. - 05/26/2013 (David's notes in red) In a vision, I saw an angel of the Lord come down out of Heaven and give David Eells a scroll-like piece of paper. (David represents the Man-Child company of Davids.) I walked over to David and I was allowed to read the wording on the top of the page and it read, Greater UBM in bold letters and under that on the second line, in slightly smaller letters, it read Member List. (Meaning members of Jesus' body in greater UBM.) The angel of the Lord spoke this message to David: “Go! Gather the people on this list.” I discerned that this was a command from the Lord to His Davids, that very soon they will be gathering His people to go to the feast! (God is going to send the Man-child Davids to gather the Woman company out of Babylon and take them into the wilderness where they will be nourished.) Rev.12:6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that there they may nourish her a thousand two hundred and threescore days. (The overcomers will walk on the highway of holiness and be sanctified.) Isa.35:8 And a highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness (separation from the world); the unclean shall not pass over it; but is shall be for the redeemed: the wayfaring men, yea fools, shall not err therein. (They will be feasting on the unleavened bread, the true word of God for the seven years.) Exo.23:15 The feast of unleavened bread shalt thou keep: seven days (the seven years of tribulation) thou shalt eat unleavened bread, as I commanded thee, at the time appointed in the month Abib (for in it thou camest out from Egypt); and none shall appear before me empty: (They had to bear fruit.) Exo 12:15 Seven days (the seven years of tribulation) shall ye eat unleavened bread (pure truth); even the first day ye shall put away leaven (pollution) out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel. This command to the Man-child ministers to “Go! Gather the people” will be a repeat of history, as the Lord said it would be. Ecc.3:15 That which is hath been long ago; and that which is to be hath long ago been: and God seeketh again that which is passed away. Exo.3:2 And the angel of Jehovah appeared unto him [Moses] in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. ... 10 Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt (the world). Moses was incapable, according to his own witness, to lead God's people out of Egypt and through the wilderness tribulation. Father chose him to prove that His power is made perfect through man's weakness. This is a type for the Man-child ministers who will do the same thing. The wilderness represents a lack of dependency on man and instead learning of our supernatural supply from Heaven. It was a place of testing to weed out the unbelieving mixed multitudes, meaning part Christian and part world. The flesh of Israel died in the wilderness. Their children, representing the fruit of the spiritual man, went into the Promised Land. The faithful Joshuas and Calebs were alive and remained to enter the spiritual land of milk and honey in their body. Eze.20:33 As I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, surely with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out, will I be king over you: (as it was in Egypt before the people went into the wilderness tribulation) 34 and I will bring you out from the peoples, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out; 35 and I will bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and there will I enter into judgment with you face to face. 36 Like as I entered into judgment with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I enter into judgment with you, saith the Lord Jehovah. History will repeat. 37 And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant; 38 and I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me; I will bring them forth out of the land where they sojourn, but they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I am Jehovah. 39 As for you, O house of Israel, thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Go ye, serve every one his idols, and hereafter also, if ye will not hearken unto me; but my holy name shall ye no more profane with your gifts, and with your idols. No more denominations or demonizations among them to distract their allegiance. 40 For in my holy mountain, in the mountain of the height of Israel, saith the Lord Jehovah, there shall all the house of Israel, all of them, serve me in the land: there will I accept them, and there will I require your offerings, and the first-fruits of your oblations, with all your holy things. 41 As a sweet savor will I accept you, when I bring you out from the peoples, and gather you out of the countries wherein ye have been scattered; and I will be sanctified in you in the sight of the nations. 42 And ye shall know that I am Jehovah, when I shall bring you into the land of Israel, into the country which I sware to give unto your fathers.

This Is the Time, in Our Fear-Evoking Events, that Jesus Followers, Like Jesus and King Hezekiah, Need to Get Alone with God and Pray MESSAGE SUMMARY: Immediately, Jesus made His Disciples get in a boat and go on ahead of Him to the other side while Jesus dismissed the crowd. After Jesus dismissed the crowd, He went up on a mountainside, by Himself, to pray. He was alone with His Father. In Mark 1:35, Jesus' prayer life is presented: “And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, He departed and went out to a desolate place, and there He prayed.”. If there is one Christian discipline that is neglected by Christians of today, it is the practice of getting alone with God and having a quiet time to pray -- not you and your computer; not you and a friend; but only you and God alone in your prayer. We can learn a great deal from King Hezekiah, in Isaiah 37:15-17a about his personal relationship with God, through personal prayer, as he is faced with a powerful invasion of Israel: “And Hezekiah prayed to the LORD: ‘O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, enthroned above the cherubim, you are the God, you alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; you have made heaven and earth. Incline your ear, O LORD, and hear.'”.     TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord, in order to be with you, I need you to show me how to “create a desert” in the midst of my full, active life. Cleanse me from the pressures, illusions, and pretenses that confront me today so that my life may serve as a gift to those around me. Amen.         Scazzero, Peter.
