God's rescue plan is unlike any other — through the humility, suffering, and death of Jesus, we find eternal life and victory. Isaiah 52–53 reminds us that Christ bore our sin, took our punishment, and brought us hope.
Genesis 6 reveals profound truths about God's character through Noah's story. God's judgment of a world filled with violence and evil demonstrates His perfect justice flowing from His holiness. Yet in the midst of judgment, God initiates rescue by providing detailed instructions for the ark. This pattern of creation, de-creation, and recreation foreshadows God's ultimate salvation plan. The ark itself symbolizes Christ - with one door representing the single path to salvation, its pitch covering pointing to atonement, and its security reflecting our safety in Christ. At the cross, God's justice and mercy perfectly meet, offering us salvation not through our own efforts but through taking refuge in Christ.

if he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by burning them to ashes, and made them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly; and if he rescued Lot, a righteous man, who was distressed by the depraved conduct of the lawless (for that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard) – if this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and to hold the unrighteous for punishment on the day of judgment. This is especially true of those who follow the corrupt desire of the flesh and despise authority. Bold and arrogant, they are not afraid to heap abuse on celestial beings; yet even angels, although they are stronger and more powerful, do not heap abuse on such beings when bringing judgment on them from the Lord. But these people blaspheme in matters they do not understand. They are like unreasoning animals, creatures of instinct, born only to be caught and destroyed, and like animals they too will perish. They will be paid back with harm for the harm they have done. Their idea of pleasure is to carouse in broad daylight. They are blots and blemishes, revelling in their pleasures while they feast with you. With eyes full of adultery, they never stop sinning; they seduce the unstable; they are experts in greed – an accursed brood! They have left the straight way and wandered off to follow the way of Balaam son of Bezer, who loved the wages of wickedness. But he was rebuked for his wrongdoing by a donkey – an animal without speech – who spoke with a human voice and restrained the prophet's madness. (2 Peter 2.6-16, NIV)

Hebrews: The True and Better - Hebrews 2.10-18Jobey McGintyIt may not be possible for us to fully understand the depths of our sin, but even a surface level comprehension should bring us to our knees. God, of course, sees our sin for what it is and knows that it requires a rescue plan that is beyond our comprehension or capability. And God's Word says that it was “fitting” that God would come up with a particular plan to exonerate us, and the plan would be preposterous. He Himself would stand in our place. And God called this “fitting." It is necessary that something/someone as amazingly perfect should be what satisfies the justice of God, because sin is itself amazingly treacherous. And because Jesus has become a human and endured all that we have, He has become a perfect, sympathetic, and faithful High Priest who ministers to us and for us.
Pastor Lee brought an inspiring message titled "God's Rescue Plan." Be sure to check it out and share!
In this powerful message, we're challenged to embrace our role as witnesses for Christ. The central theme revolves around Luke 24:36-49, where Jesus appears to His disciples after the resurrection. This passage reminds us that we, who know God, are called to make Him known to others. Just as Jesus sent out His disciples, He's sending us out into the world to share His love and salvation. The message draws an intriguing parallel between the recent rescue of astronauts from the International Space Station and God's cosmic rescue plan for humanity through Jesus. This comparison helps us understand the urgency and importance of our mission as believers. We're reminded that our faith in the resurrection equips us to handle life's challenges and empowers us to change the world. When we truly grasp the reality of Christ's resurrection, we can face difficulties with peace and purpose, knowing that our ultimate hope lies beyond this world.

A focus on Ephesians 2, particularly the stark contrast between humanity's fallen state and God's redemptive love. Pastor Osborne describes the first three verses as among the darkest in Scripture, detailing humanity's spiritual death through sin, cultural bondage, and Satan's influence. However, the message pivots on the powerful phrase 'But God,' highlighting how God's rich mercy and great love provide salvation through Christ despite our deserving of wrath. The message emphasizes that while we are dead in our sins and under God's wrath, God's love and mercy lead Him to make us alive in Christ. This redemption comes through Jesus taking our sin, death, and God's wrath upon Himself, offering His righteousness in exchange for our sin.
Perhaps in no previous time has it become more obvious that boys are struggling. Their mental health challenges have become severe. Boys are behind girls in education and maturation. Screen time and social media have become an affliction. Many of our sons grow up courting violence. Many others live in quiet desperation. While arguments about the politics of masculinity abound, there is little help today for parents, schools, and communities to raise, educate, and nurture boys. In this podcast we interview Michael Gurian, PhD talks about how to connect with our boys and addresses differences in the neurology and overall psychology of our boys to better understand their needs.Michael Gurian is a marriage and family counselor in his thirty-fourth year of private practice (michaelgurian.com) and the New York Times bestselling author of thirty-six books. The Gurian Institute, which he cofounded in 1996, conducts research internationally, launches pilot programs, and trains professionals (gurianinstitute.com). We did it OOBTers! We've made it to the last chapters of Leviticus! Let's be honest: Leviticus is the book where most Bible reading plans go to die… but not us! We stuck it out, and these final chapters (24-27) are packed with powerful reminders of God's holiness, His rescue plan, and His desire to walk among us. So good. In this episode, we're breaking it all down: Why honoring God's name matters and what happens when people don't. The concept of Sabbath and Jubilee years—where debts are canceled, slaves are freed, and the land itself gets to rest! (hello, freedom and restoration!) A big if/then moment—God lays out the blessings of obedience and the tough consequences of turning away. But even in the warnings, His mercy shines through! AND THEN, in the final chapter, we see a call to full dedication because everything ultimately belongs to God. Through all of this, we see that these laws aren't just ancient rules—they point straight to Jesus and God's ultimate plan to redeem and restore us. So beautiful. It's Witness Wednesday! Todd Friel is at Gainesville State University in Gainesville, Georgia and discusses physical blindness vs spiritual blindness, wavering faith, and how to share your faith most effectively. Segment 1: • Sight vs. Insight: A blind student reflects on how losing his vision helped him see the world differently. • Honest Self-Examination: Despite claiming to be “good,” admits to breaking God's laws, including lying and dishonoring parents. • Gospel Reminder: Salvation is not about being “not bad”; it's about trusting Jesus, who died for sinners. Segment 2: • Facing the Judge: A candid student fears what God might say about his life but admits he hasn't followed Him fully. • The Disconnect: "I do everything for me," he confesses, highlighting the gap between claiming faith and living it. • A Clear Choice: Understand who Jesus is, and either reject or embrace His offer of mercy. Segment 3: • The Honesty Test: A robe-wearing student grapples with lies, theft, and lust, admitting, “I'm not living like a Christian.” • A Savior for the Bad Restaurant: Illustrates how Jesus saves not the “clean” but the broken and sinful. • Why It Matters: Until we see how bad we are, we can't fully appreciate the depth of Christ's sacrifice. Segment 4: • Laser-Focused Gospel: Avoid distractions and present the gospel as forgiveness for sin, not a fix for life's problems. • Grace Over Effort: True salvation comes from trust in Jesus, not personal performance or “earning” God's favor. • Daily Freedom: The gospel isn't just for salvation—it's for daily living in the assurance of God's unchanging grace. ___ Thanks for listening! We like to be self-reliant, but at times we need help, so we need a rescue plan. I got stuck in the mud a few days ago. I had been driving my small truck in the countryside and decided to do a u-turn. I crossed over the road and on to the soil and I got stuck in the mud. I hadn't realised that it was so wet and mucky. I instantly stopped, as I knew that if I kept trying to get out, I would just dig myself in further. Read further here Support Turning the Page. Give

The Babylonian Exile was a dark time for the Israelites. Jeff Cavins chose the color for this time period in the Bible Timeline because of the "blues" that the Jews were experiencing in exile, distant from God's presence in the Holy Temple. In this episode, Fr. Joseph Taphorn joins Jeff Cavins to explore the various ways in which modern Catholics may find themselves or their loved ones in a state of spiritual exile. Whether grappling with addiction, seeking deliverance and healing, or confronting the challenges of children straying from the Faith, Fr.
