Have You Heard This is a comedy podcast that lets the listener in on the hilarious conversations comedians have with each other in the process of creating and perfecting new material. In each episode, host Aaron Hertzog is joined by a guest comedian or writer who brings a topic, premise, or not-yet-finished idea to kick-start the conversation for an hour of free-flowing talk, jokes, stories, and more. They’ll discuss the origins and inspiration for the idea and what compels them to talk about the topic, but mostly they’ll follow any and every path that leads them to laughs. The goal of the show isn’t to dissect comedy, but to create it. (An Offer I Can't Refuse) People are always telling me "I can't believe you haven't seen [insert name of some incredibly popular movie here]?" and "how can you be a screenwriter if you haven't seen (some other movie that has no real interest to me)" or "wait, you don't know that quote is from (some movie where a violent robot from the future talks in short, stagnated sentences?)" It happens to me every day. And it's annoying AF. So now, I've decided I'll watch these movies if...they make me An Offer I Can't Refuse (by agreeing to come onto this show to have a nuanced conversation about how I feel now that I have finally watched it...and perhaps making a donation to offset any problematic content or issues surrounding the movie.) Hosted by screenwriter Stephanie Mickus and stand-up comedian/screenwriter/"Stephanie's well-socialized emotional support human" Aaron Hertzog, An Offer I Can't Refuse aims to have conversations and how socialization, gender, and other socio-economic factors affect what movies we are drawn to.
