Enjoying the second installment in Kemper Donovan's ghostwriter mystery series "Loose Lips"! Hi! My name is Terry J. Aman, marking my 99th episode of VideoFuzzy, reporting the progress I've made in cataloging thousands of VHS transfers and digital recordings. This set covers discs 1726 to 1750 in my Classic Collection. For my Fuzzy Feature I pulled up the third, fourth and fifth season finale episodes of "Psych," featuring Ally Sheedy as Mr. Yang. Under Cross Connections I trace appearances by Martin Short, Garret Dillahunt, John Mahoney, Devon Gummersall and Golden Thread Jeri Ryan. In my Book Report (around the 20-minute mark if you're looking for it specifically), I review the second installment in auther and fellow podcaster Kemper Donovan's ghostwriter mystery series, "Loose Lips." Authors, egos and personalities clash when a literary symposium set aboard a cruise ship turns deadly. Love it! Copies available here: https://bit.ly/3C11ENN In my Classic Collection, I go into a little more detail about the "Psych" episode Jeri Ryan appeared in, the pilot episode of "Grey's Anatomy," and then I talk about the pilot episodes of "Sons of Tucson" and "American Dad," which showed up in this set.   Finally, in What I've Been Watching, I finally get up to speed with the back catalogs of "Bridgerton" and "Stranger Things." Both are phenomenal shows and I'm very glad people recommended them to me. Very enjoyable use of my downtime watching them; looking forward to the next seasons. TOP TWELVE: Here's a "Top Twelve" episode guide for people looking for a quick read-in on this blog and podcast effort: https://videofuzzy.libsyn.com/about. Enjoy!

The "Dirty Sons of Pitches" are examining the 2000s decade year-by-year, and they've worked their way to 2002, and now they're discussing Robin Williams' dark comedy directed by Danny DeVito, the kids TV satire, "Death to Smoochy," and the inexplicable college sex comedy involving two rephrensible men cloning a lady and then training her to be their "perfect woman/sexual partner," the little known, and for a reason, "Repli-Kate" starring James Roday, Ali Landy, the "Doritos girl," and the requirement for every sex comedy in the 2000s, Eugene Levy. Oh, it's bad on many levels, especially as a condemnation of men.  Available on Apple and Spotify Episode 374 includes: -Oscar recap! Hooray for "Everything Everywhere" and hat it means going forward.  -"The Little Mermaid" trailer debuts... during the literal Oscar telecast. -Ben is bored by "65" and deliberates all the ways it could have been better. -By the Decade -- 2002 -- "Death to Smoochy" / "Repli-Kate" -Ben still feels "Death to Smoochy" hits a special place for him, while Nate finds it to be too clunky and obvious and redundant, but both guys dig into the many many ways that the National Lampoon "Repli-Kate" comedy defies consent and feminism and good thinking.

What the Heck is a Line Producer with Sevier CrespoI've been asked by the tribe to do a show on what the heck is a line producer. Ask and you may receive. Today's guest is Line Producer Sevier Crespo. Sevier is line producer that works in the indie film world. He knows how to handle lower budgets and get the most out of them.According to Wikipedia: a line producer is a type of film producer who is the key manager during daily operations of a feature film, television film, or an episode of a TV program. A line producer works on one film at a time. They are responsible for human resources and handling any problems that come up during production.I wanted to have Sevier on the show to really go over how a good line producer can help you on your productions. He's been around the biz for years working with legends like Jerry Bruckheimer, Michael Mann, Ridley Scott, Tony Scott and Joe Petka to name a few. Here's some info on today's guest. Producer Sevier Crespo, p.g.a., is a dynamic force in film and television production, known in the industry as the man who conquers impossible circumstances to bring projects in on schedule and on budget. Accolades for his projects include BEST AMERICAN COMEDY at the NY International Film Festival, TV GUIDE's Hot List (the only web series to make the list), a Parents' Choice Award, and a Mom's Choice Award. And it's no wonder since he learned the ropes from heavyweights, Jerry Bruckheimer and Michael Mann.Crespo may have cut his teeth on sequels to “Bad Boys” and “Chainsaw Massacre,” but $5-million-and-under budgets are where Crespo really shows his prowess. He developed, created, wrote, produced, line produced and acted in “Jackers” with a budget of $50k. The feature film grossed $500k in its first quarter and has taken in over $5 million since. Crespo also saved a film that was $60k in the hole (with a budget of $225k) and brought it in on budget and on schedule. And when he delivered an NBC pilot (starring Mandy Moore and James Roday) on time and on budget too, he was not only praised for an LA/NY shoot with the micro-budget, but also literally shocked a network exec over the project, who looked him straight in the eye and said, “How the fuck did you manage to do that?”Crespo studied production at UCLA and learned the ropes under the tutelage of Robert Townsend and director Sam Bayer at Ridley Scott's RSA USA, Inc. He's since worked with such global brands as Adidas, Coca-Cola, Nike, Marlboro, Mitsubishi, NBC, and Netflix – to name a few. Tapping back into his latin roots, Sevier worked alongside Danny Trejo in the comedy “Pendejo” and the upcoming feature “Deceived” (2017).Enjoy my conversation with Line Producer and Producer Sevier Crespo.LINKS AND RESOURCES MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODESevier Crespo - IMDBSevier Crespo - WebsiteTwitterFacebookSPONSORSHollywood Film & Television Directing Masterclass (30% OFF)Directing Actors Master Course – (30% OFF – CODE: HUSTLE)Get Your Film on Netflix, Hulu & Amazon & Keep 100% off the Revenue - DistribberHollywood Camera Work: Mastering High-End Blocking and Staging (30% OFF – CODE: HUSTLE)Werner H

Rodriguez was born in San Antonio, Texas, as James David Rodriguez.[1] He attended Taft High School in San Antonio.[3] His father, Jaime "Jim" Rodriguez, is of Mexican descent, and his mother, Deborah Collins, is of English, Irish, and Scottish ancestry. Rodriguez's father is a retired Air Force Master Sergeant and used to be the regional catering manager of Taco Cabana.[4][5] At New York University's Experimental Theatre Wing, Rodriguez studied theatre and earned a bachelor's degree in fine arts.[6] At the age of 22, he selected the professional name James Roday. In a July 2020 interview, Rodriguez explained the decision was mainly driven by producers and casting directors feeling his Caucasian appearance clashed with his Spanish-Latino family name. The characters he read for up until that point either were not written with a Latino background or required a non-white "Mexican" appearance. In order to book his first job, he legally changed his middle name, David, to Roday (from an Anton Chekhov play), and omitted Rodriguez from his screen name. In the same interview, he stated regret that he "sold out my heritage in about 15 seconds" and announced that going forward he was going to use his full legal name of James Roday Rodriguez.[7]

Disillusioned with a barrage of social media posts about Shout Factory's Friday the 13th Boxed Set, I tried to think of ways to share my feelings on the subject without just complaining or shitting on F13 fans ... In fact, I have no real problem with Friday the 13th, I just had no interest in giving more money to Sean Cunningham's company for continuing to wring nostalgia from the teat of a franchise while trying to cheat the original screenwriter out of fair compensation. Suddenly, it dawned on me. Use the money that might have gone toward the boxed set and, instead, spend it on low budget, indie genre films! Brilliant! So that's what I did, and I decided to dub it #BYOBoxedSet (as in "Build Your Own Boxed Set"). It was a lot of fun, and I might do the same thing the next time a big viral boxed set gets popular! Please join me as I talk in more detail about this journey and my reaction to these films (some of which I have yet to see, and some I saw for just the first time). Parallax Views initiates the #HalloweenPodcastMassacre, a series of episodes devoted to celebrating the Halloween season, by highlighting the brand new horror movie The Good Things Devils Do, a wild ride of gory vampire hijinks set appropriately on All Hallows' Eve, with the film's director Jess Norvisgaard and director of photography James Suttles. Boasting a a cast headlined by a trio of horror icons in the form of the Emmy Award and Lon Chaney Award-winning Bill Oberst Jr., scream queen Linnea Quigley, and the Friday the 13th franchise's Kane Hodder (aka the man behind the hockey mask of the machete wielding maniac Jason Voorhees!), follows in the footsteps of such fright flicks set on or around October 31st as James Roday's Gravy (2015), Patrick Lussier's Trick (2019), the anthology of terror Tales of Halloween (2015), and Michael Doughtery's Trick 'r Treat (2007) in vying to become a cult classic regarded as annual viewing for the spooky season. Taking its cues from such ghoulishly gory fear features as Kevin S. Tenney's Night of the Demons (1988), David DeCoteau's Witchhouse, and Dan O'Bannon's The Return of the Living Dead (1985), The Good Things Devils Do offers up a mix of wicked dark humor and dark humor. At the same time, however, Norvisgaard's first feature length effort may offer a bit more than just blood-soaked gore and B-movie camp thanks to some truly emotion-stirring moments that conjure chills, thrills, and maybe even a sincere tear or two. Provided below is a trailer for The Good Things Devils Do and a plot synopsis by the director himself, Jess Norvisgaard: Richard, a small-time gangster is retiring. Before he can, he must take one last job: to steal money from a rival gangster's house. Miles apart, Melvin is a reluctant family man who has dreams of becoming a famous curator for his Museum of the Macabre. His newest acquisition? The remains of the notorious Masquerade, a vampire born from the embers of hell, slain centuries ago. On Halloween Night, their paths will collide and they'll be forced to work together to fight centuries-old evil with everything on the line. Week 5 Recap: Big performances, and are the Panthers really better without Cam Newton?

You want to talk about big performances, look no further than Week 5. In the latest fantasy football podcast, Liz Loza and Matt Harmon recap those outings, and much more, and they’re joined by Psych and A Million Little Things alum, James Roday! We can’t talk about big performances without talking about what Christian McCaffrey did to the Jacksonville Jaguars (1:30). Run-CMC racked up a whopping 237 total yards and three touchdowns on 25 total touches. Those are video game numbers. But after another monster day by McCaffrey, the Panthers are 3-0 during the Kyle Allen era. So, it begs the question: Are the Panthers — Matt’s ex-lover — a truly better team without Cam Newton?Minshew-Mania stumbled against McCaffrey’s Panthers, but there were fantasy goodies to be had on the Jaguars side of the ball, too. Gardner Minshew (26/44 for 374 yards and 2 TDs), Leonard Fournette (137 total yards, 1 TD), D.J. Chark (164 yards, 2 TDs) all provided great days. You’ll remember last week, the frustration about the Vikings passing had boiled over, especially with their two stud wideouts, Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs. Well, the coaching staff heard — sort of. Adam Thielen and Kirk Cousins had good days; Diggs, not so much. Across on the other side of the scoreboard, the Giants lost Wayne Gallman to a concussion. And while Saquon Barkley continues to build evidence of his inhuman nature, Liz and Matt discuss Vikings/Giants and whether Jonathan Hilliman is now on the fantasy radar (11:30).Before the Sunday night clash between the Kansas City Chiefs and Indianapolis Colts, Teddy Bridgewater was the third-highest scoring fantasy quarterback. Yes, that Teddy Bridgewater, thanks to 314 pass yards and four touchdowns — so maybe this offense isn’t as in trouble as we initially thought after the Drew Brees injury (19:30).Back to the AFC South, the Will Fuller explosion happened, as the wideout turned 16 targets into 14 catches, 217 yards, and 3 TDs. His quarterback, Deshaun Watson, had a day too, throwing five touchdowns and totaling 473 yards through the air and on the ground (28:15).Have to shout out Josh Jacobs too, who, going up against the vaunted Bears defense and playing overseas, went off for 143 total yards and two touchdowns (30:30)Aaron Jones decided to put on his best Christian McCaffrey impression against Dallas, going off for FOUR touchdowns and over 180 combined yards (35:45). On the other side of the spectrum, Amari Cooper turned 14 targets into 11 catches, 226 yards, and a touchdown. Big, unexpected performances indeed. Please remember to rate, review and subscribe on your podcast provider of choice and send us your questions for future episodes on Twitter @YahooFantasy.Follow Liz @LizLoza_FFFollow Matt @MattHarmon_BYBCheck out the rest of the Yahoo Sports Podcast family at https://apple.co/2Abi8jk or at yahoosports.com/podcasts See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

On the latest episode of the Talkhouse Podcast, friends and fellow actor-writer-directors James Roday and Karen Gillan sit down for a chat at The Grant, James' bar-to-be in Los Angeles' Eagle Rock neighborhood. Roday and Gillan, best known as Shawn from Psych and Nebula from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, respectively, got together to discuss Roday's second feature as writer-director, the slowburning horror, Treehouse, which debuted March 1 on Hulu as part of Blumhouse's yearlong Into the Dark series. To the faint sounds of construction workers finishing The Grant, the two pals chat about Treehouse, Gillan's directorial debut The Party's Just Beginning, their mutual love of horror movies and Lynne Ramsay, Roday's obsession with Highland cows, that time Gillan wrote a letter to Michael Haneke, and much, much more. Accolades for his projects include BEST AMERICAN COMEDY at the NY International Film Festival, TV GUIDE’s Hot List (the only web series to make the list), a Parents’ Choice Award, and a Mom’s Choice Award. And it’s no wonder since he learned the ropes from heavyweights, Jerry Bruckheimer and Michael Mann.Crespo may have cut his teeth on sequels to “Bad Boys” and “Chainsaw Massacre,” but $5-million-and-under budgets are where Crespo really shows his prowess. And when he delivered an NBC pilot (starring Mandy Moore and James Roday) on time and on budget too, he was not only praised for an LA/NY shoot with the micro-budget, but also literally shocked a network exec over the project, who looked him straight in the eye and said, “How the fuck did you manage to do that?”Crespo studied production at UCLA and learned the ropes under the tutelage of Robert Townsend and director Sam Bayer at Ridley Scott’s RSA USA, Inc. He’s since worked with such global brands as Adidas, Coca-Cola, Nike, Marlboro, Mitsubishi, NBC, and Netflix – to name a few.
