What was behind his feud with Donald Trump, and why were some Trump supporters trying to have him canceled? How did the man who wrote "Ohio" end up stumping for Ronald Reagan? It's a good one! **CONTAINS ADULT LANGUAGE**Join Kenny, Arnaz, and Del as they delve into the debate of whether or not DIE HARD (1988) is a Christmas Movie. For over a decade, fans of the film Die Hard have argued over it being a Christmas movie. That debate came to a peak in 2018 as the debate grew to included analytics, scientific polls, interviews of the movies creators and stars, and more. In late 2018, even the Die Hard's writer and lead actor went head to head on opposing sides. So just for fun and a little theater, The Brothers take their own twist on the debate with a little something extra from Kenny. They even polled their social media community and included some of their comments in the debate as well. If anything, this episode is gonna be fun, if they can remain friends after all the smoke is clear. It's a podcast crossover! Ronnie Martin of The Happy Rant joins us in-studio in exotic Indianapolis to talk nostalgia, Christmas and romance novels, and trying to read theology. And by "in-studio" I mean "in the hallway outside the exhibit hall at TGC." Listen in as we discuss: Why Ronnie enjoys romance and Christmas novels What's really nice about writing for kids If the name "Joseph" is cult-y What are the boundaries of Ronnie's Christmas season? Is there a mindlessness to Christian living and theology books? Can you reach a saturation point with a type of book? Why Ronnie is anti-self-publishing A few of the books we shared this time around: The Best Gift Ever Given by Ronnie Martin The Broken Road by Richard Paul Evans All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr The Pursuit of God by A.W. He’s covered machine gun collector conventions, written award shows for Chinese television, and answered the phone for a parapsychological research organization. His novel, Horrorstör, about a haunted IKEA, has been translated into 14 languages and is currently being developed into a television series.
