Car cleanliness was never a priority for me, especially after having kids, and I always blamed the obstacles I faced: the lack of convenient car wash facilities and my jam-packed schedule. However, after inheriting a nicer minivan and discovering a convenient car wash service, I managed to make car cleaning a regular habit using my special formula. I delve into that formula, explaining how attaching new habits to existing ones and providing positive reinforcement can help make these habits stick, and encourage you to identify areas in your own life where they can prove your old self wrong and embrace the possibility of transformation. Seroj Terian is an independent mechanic and vintage bike enthusiast. He recently built and sold a very well executed R100 scrambler that sold on BaT—(we've got a link to that for you) so we'll dig into that bike and discuss his work and experience with old bikes, in general and the volunteer work he does, which is quite remarkable, as well. For 10 years, a black dog named Rusty spent every day chained in a backyard in North Carolina with a doghouse. But once members of PETA learned about Rusty, they made it a point to visit Rusty nearly daily to offer him cheer and company and delicately finally convinced Rusty's owner to surrender him to PETA. That's when Rusty's life changed for the better. In this heartwarming episode, Oh Behave show host Arden Moore talks with PETA spokesperson Rachel Bellis and dog lover Hannah Caldwell from south Florida who adopted Rusty and is dedicated to making sure he is treated to lots of love and adventures every day. EPISODE NOTES: Tune in to Learn About the Amazing Rescue of A 10-Year-old Dog Named Rusty!
The Old Dogs ramble about the big folk revival of the early sixties. We learn about a rat problem that has one police department clearing out its evidence shelves. We hear from Suzanne Savoy about that whole business of sex. Paul once again tries to stump the older Old Dog. And we mourn the passing of Peter Yarrow. The Old Dogs Conversation is with Dennis Sullivan. A geriatrician whose focus is better treatment for the aged.
Let's face it—sometimes life smacks us upside the head, and all those “healing tools” we've heard about feel as helpful as a soggy paper towel. In this refreshingly honest episode, we're tackling the messy, unpredictable journey of healing together. Spoiler alert: it's not all bubble baths and journaling. But with some small, intentional steps and a dash of self-compassion, we *can* turn those curveballs into a half-decent game plan for growth. We'll get into: • Why growth and healing are basically a package deal with discomfort • What to do when your usual coping tricks go MIA • Grounding techniques for when life feels like a dumpster fire • How gratitude (yes, gratitude) can rewire your brain without the cringe factor • The secret power of vulnerability (don't roll your eyes—it's legit)

On this episode of Vinyl Verdict, Bell, Jamie and Adam listen to Bell's next pick, Mac DeMarco's "This Old Dog". Released in 2017, it was his third studio album. Some of the themes of the album are Mac's relationship with his father, aging, and relationships. On the album, Mac plays every instrument himself, while also handling production. Reviews for the album were overwhelmingly positive, with most critics praising the musicianship, tone and writing. But what will the boys think? Will they complain about "One More Love Song"? Come along and find out!

Writer/artist Declan Shalvey joins the show to talk about his rather considerable mix of projects. Shalvey discusses his busy dance card, the value of time, putting out fires, why he wanted to work on Mystique, cool versus good, writing and drawing an X-Book, what Mystique started with, how he's handling the character, how Old Dog Operations came together, what it's about, the creators of the project, what's next for Old Dog, the Thundercats explosion, becoming a licensed guy, the stigma around those titles, what he's missing, and more, before we close with a conversation about John Cassaday.

We're talking about Old Dog and ThunderCats today on the Cryptid Creator Corner as I welcome Declan Shalvey to the podcast. I was lucky enough this past March to celebrate my 45th birthday in Ireland and as part of the celebration go to Dublin Comic Con and meet Declan. I knew once I was back home I had to get Declan on the podcast to chat about comics. We discuss his early days in comics, Dublin Comic Con, plus some of his work like Savage Town, Bog Bodies, Time Before Time, Old Dog, and ThunderCats. It was great hearing about Declan's approach to storytelling, both writing and art. I could have chatted with Declan for another 2 hours, but Penny came upstairs while recording to tell me the laundry room "smells like burning" and I had to wrap things up to investigate. Be sure to check out Declan's website and sign up for his very excellent newsletter. I've been very lucky recently to chat with some of my favorite creators working in comics right now and I think you're going to enjoy listening to this episode as much as I enjoyed recording it. Thundercats from the publisher: Fleeing through space to escape their dying home world, the ThunderCats were attacked en route by their mortal enemies, the Mutants of Plun-Darr. After diverting their damaged flagship to a planet called Third Earth, the surviving ThunderCats now strive to rebuild their society in harmony with the new world's natives. But the Mutants, determined to possess the ThunderCats' mystical gem, the Eye of Thundera, have tracked them down - and they've also forged an alliance with Mumm-Ra, the devil-priest of Third Earth! Now the ThunderCats, led by an inexperienced Lion-O, must band together as never before to protect their legacy from this combined enemy. But will they be able to withstand the onslaught of Mumm-Ra the Ever-Living, once he sets his eyes upon them? The triple-threat talents (writers, artists, and ThunderCats superfans) of DECLAN SHALVEY and DREW MOSS join forces to bring this exciting new entry in the ThunderCats canon to life! Old Dog from the publisher: Jack Lynch was a once-promising CIA operative. On the eve of retirement, looking back at a failed career, he is tasked with one final mission...that goes horribly wrong. He wakes years later to a changed world and deeper changes within him. When a shadow group offers Lynch a second chance at a life of adventure, he's paired with the last person he could ever imagine. In order to adjust, this old dog will have to learn some new tricks... OLD DOG is a striking new spy-fi series by DECLAN SHALVEY, the accomplished and innovative creator behind books such as Moon Knight, X-Men Unlimited, INJECTION, and TIME BEFORE TIME.
