At Hillsong, we believe every person is called to be a bringer—someone who has encountered the love and grace of Jesus and can't help but invite others into that same life-changing experience. Inspired by Ephesians 4:16 and Acts 1:8, we're reminded that the Church flourishes when each of us plays our part—serving, loving, and reaching out. Like the Samaritan woman who simply shared her story, we don't need a platform, a title, or all the answers—just a genuine encounter with Jesus. It's not about building crowds, but about building lives. As we step out in faith, bringing our world to Jesus, we'll see hearts transformed and His Church strengthened—one person, one story, one invitation at a time.
Ephesians 4:16 (NIV) paints a powerful picture of the Church as a living, breathing body—held together by Christ and built up in love as each one plays their part. At Hillsong, we believe everyone has a place and a purpose. There's no such thing as sitting on the sidelines in the Kingdom of God. You were created to contribute—your gifts, your heart, your worship—it all matters. Romans 12:4–8 reminds us that we're uniquely gifted, and 2 Samuel 24:24 challenges us to bring an offering that costs us something—real contribution is always personal and poured out. But we also know this: apart from Jesus, it's all in vain. John 15:5 reminds us that He is the vine, and we are the branches—everything we do flows from Him. So as we grow together, let's be a Church that loves deeply, serves boldly, and builds the body through every act of faithfulness, because all contribute.
Ps Renaud led us to reflect on the way in which Jesus intended His Church to grow and build itself up in love. Together, we shine the light of Jesus, care for one another, and transform lives through love and support. Each of us has a unique role
In his Easter message, Phil Dooley celebrates the resurrection of Jesus as the central truth of the Christian faith, emphasizing that Easter is not just a date or religious tradition, but a personal, life-transforming encounter with a risen Savior. Through humor and heartfelt storytelling, he reflects on the surprise and emotional rollercoaster experienced by the women at Jesus' tomb, highlighting that God meets us in our fear and grief with love, hope, and presence. He encourages listeners to expect the unexpected from a God who does the unimaginable, reminding them that Jesus stepped down to humanity not to enforce rules, but to offer relationship, peace, and victory over death. Ultimately, the message is a call to live boldly, share the good news, and embrace the love symbolized by the cross.
The message is a heartfelt and inspiring sermon focused on the compassion, power, and presence of Jesus, reflecting on the transformative story in Luke 7, where Jesus raises a widow's son from the dead, emphasizing how Jesus sees us in our pain, is moved with deep compassion, and has authority over death itself. Through personal stories and biblical insights, the message highlights how Jesus doesn't just offer miracles but also sustains us through our suffering. It calls listeners to respond in three ways: to "rise up" and make Jesus Lord, to "sit up" and live differently as temples of the Holy Spirit, and to "speak up" by sharing the good news boldly. Ultimately, the sermon centers on the unchanging love and compassion of Jesus, urging everyone to receive new life through Him.
The message from the “Jesus and” series centers on three encounters at the cross, showing how Jesus offers freedom, faith, and forgiveness to all who believe. Barabbas, a guilty man, was set free in place of Jesus, representing the freedom we receive through faith. One criminal mocked Jesus, illustrating how pride and doubt can keep us from true faith. The other criminal believed, acknowledged his sin, and received immediate forgiveness, demonstrating the grace available to anyone who turns to Jesus. The core message is clear: no matter where you are in life, if you're seeking freedom, faith, or forgiveness—go to Jesus and believe.
Jesus challenges the Pharisees' rigid traditions, teaching that His message brings a new way of thinking that cannot be contained within old religious structures (Luke 5:33-39). He demonstrates this by healing a paralyzed man, welcoming sinners like Levi, and restoring a man's withered hand, revealing that forgiveness heals, includes, and empowers (Luke 5-6). The Pharisees, blinded by pride and legalism, resist this change, but Jesus shows that true faith requires humility, repentance, and surrender. Just as some Pharisees, like Nicodemus and Paul, ultimately embraced Christ, we too must confront our own self-righteousness and allow Jesus to transform us.
Today Mahlatse unpacks the themes of doubt, faith, and the miraculous through the story of Jesus and Theophilus. With a heart for truth and authenticity, he encourages us to bring our questions before God, embrace faith even in uncertainty, and remain expectant for His supernatural work in our lives. This message is a reminder that doubt isn't the opposite of faith—it's an opportunity to lean in, trust deeper, and experience the miraculous love of Jesus in new ways.
As a church we are going to explore the powerful New Testament book together, inspired by Ps Robert Fergusson's book, 'Jesus and...' - where we will be diving deeper into all the characters who encountered Jesus and how we can learn more about Him and ourselves in the process.

Revival is a transformative move of God, marked by a distinct spiritual awakening led by the Holy Spirit. It calls believers to rely on the Spirit rather than just natural abilities, reprioritize spiritual disciplines, and reignite their passion for God's purposes. True revival fosters extravagant generosity, a renewed heart for the lost, and a refusal to grow complacent in faith. Just as the early Church experienced a powerful outpouring on Pentecost, revival today brings freedom, unity, and a fresh season of spiritual renewal for those who surrender fully to God's presence.
Life is a journey of faith, a long obedience in the same direction. Hebrews 12 reminds us to run with perseverance, fixing our eyes on Jesus—the author and perfecter of our faith. Just like Abraham stepped out in trust, not knowing the full picture, we're called to daily obedience, walking in faith one step at a time. It's not about striving in our own strength but responding to the voice of God, knowing He is faithful to complete what He's started. Our faith isn't just for us—it's generational, impacting those who come after us. So let's keep moving forward, trusting that Jesus is leading us, strengthening us, and shaping us for His purpose.
This Mission Sunday, we are filled with faith and expectation for all that God has in store for us in 2025. We believe this is a season of breakthrough, where God is calling us—our incredible church family—to take another step in faith, trusting Him with greater courage and reliance. Throughout scripture, God's people stepped forward in faith toward His promises, and now we believe it's our time to do the same. As we gather across our global locations, we'll hear inspiring stories of faith and see how God is moving powerfully through our church to bring hope and love to the world.
Sometimes in our prayer life, we find ourselves in the midst of unanswered prayers—moments when we pour our hearts out, expecting breakthroughs, yet the answer seems to be delayed or different from what we envisioned. But here's the beautiful truth: even when the timeline doesn't match our expectations, God is still at work. In these times of waiting, we are invited into a deeper dialogue with our Heavenly Father. Just like the prophet Habakkuk, who wrestled with his questions about God's timing, we too can bring our doubts and frustrations before God. He is not intimidated by our questions; in fact, He longs for us to be honest with Him because our struggles refine our faith and draw us closer to His heart. Every unanswered prayer is part of a larger, divine narrative—a reminder that our God is bigger than our plans and greater than our questions. In the midst of our longing, He is weaving a story of redemption, hope, and transformation that we might not see today but will surely understand in His perfect timing. So, keep praying, keep trusting, and remember that even when the answers seem hidden, God's love remains ever-present. Our unanswered prayers are not signs of His absence but invitations to lean into His everlasting arms and discover a deeper, more intimate relationship with the One who holds our future.
Three shifts that we are contending for: 1. Crowds to communities. 2. Consumers to contributors. 3. Collected to the commissioned
Jabez concludes his prayer with a plea for God's protection. He understood that the blessings and purposes of God might bring challenges, opposition, and trials. By entrusting his safety to God, Jabez expressed his faith in God's power to shield him.
Step into the fullness of God's purpose for your life! In this powerful message, we explore the story of Jabez and what it means to live with a heart after God, aligned with His plans and promises. Be inspired to pray boldly, expand your faith, and trust in His faithfulness through every season. Whether you're seeking clarity, breakthrough, or a fresh start, this message will ignite your spirit. Let's journey together as we grow in love, purpose, and devotion to Jesus!
God is closer than we know. He is revealing His glory to us every day. We need to be bold and ask Him to show it to us. He has more for us than we can imagine. He doesn't want you to live through someone else's experience of Him. He wants you to experience Him first hand - it's time to position yourself to experience Him.
As we step into a new year, we're fixing our hearts on Jesus and committing to PRAY FIRST. Just like Jabez in 1 Chronicles 4:9-10, we're crying out, “Oh, that You would bless me!” Jabez's story reminds us that no matter what labels or pain have marked our past, God is able to rewrite the narrative with His blessing and grace. This is our prayer: That we would seek God first, align with His heart, and walk in the fullness of His favor. Let's step into 2025 with faith, declaring that His plans are good and His blessings are abundant. Take a moment to call on Him—He's ready to meet you right where you are. #PrayFirst #JesusFirst #BlessedAndRedeemed

What do we do when we feel like we are in the valley? Is God really there with us? Does He have a purpose for our lives?
God wants to break up the soil of our hearts, so we can reap the harvest that He plants in us. He wants us to dig deep into Him. He wants to soften the ground of our heart so He can speak to us.
There is power in God's anointing, and we believe that it is a significant act we do every year—to take a moment and anoint everyone. We believe that God will have His hand over you in 2025 and that He still has good plans to prosper you and not to harm you.
Do you know that we have a easy access back to God? Our salvation is a beautiful way God made so that we could have eternal life with Him. We are all sinners and not perfect but because Jesus died for our sins on the cross, we now have easy access to God's love and inheritance in Heaven.
Do you ever face some challenges in life where you feel like you struggle to see or feel God working in it? This word speaks all about people in the Bible who faced extreme challenges but only ended up seeing God was there the whole time once they realigned themselves.
God never promised everything will be easy, but what He has given us are tools to equip us to fight every battle we face. We can do the difficult yes, but He can do the impossible. We don't just want to survive or be survivors of our circumstances, but we will stand victorious through Him.
Do you ever feel like you shrink back when fear comes into your life? Pastor David Webster shares a brilliant and encouraging message called "Don't Shrink Back!!!" where he speaks about faith over fear.
Our faith is in a supernatural God, and as a church, we have faith that we will see God move like never before. We are believing for a fresh awakening across our cities, our nation, and our continent. Pastor Sanga encourages us this significant Sunday to have faith for miracles, because we serve a great God who has wonderful things ahead for those who love Him.
Have you ever felt like finances corrupt your faith? On Week 5 of our "I Have Faith for this" we have Pastor Jeff Lestz who is a speaker, teacher and author on all things finances and faith! He speaks about giving in the church and putting God above our finances. We hope you feel encouraged from this word.
Do you have a dream in your heart? Or a vision that God has deposited in your life? But you find yourself in that space between receiving it and seeing it come to pass...and it is hard...what do you do in the wait? What can we learn from the Bible in our waiting seasons. How do we build faith to wait?
We all experience storms in our lives, but how do we keep the faith while in the midst of our storm? Today we learn about how the Lord behaved amidst a storm and how we can learn from this.
Don't you think it's sometimes easier to learn from other people's mistakes than your own? Today we learn from King David's son Adonijah on what faith does NOT look like. If you prayed that prayer at the end with Zeeko at the end of his message we would love to help you further, please click on this link: https://hillsong.com/southafrica/jesus/
We are so glad you joined us today. Today we are starting our I Have Faith For This series, hearing from our Stellenbosch lead pastor, Ilze Hofmeyr, as we head into our Heart For The Mission season. Join us as we raise our faith and come around the word of God.
There is a place in our life we call the sweet spot, the place where we know we will flourish and live the life God has called us to, but how do we get there?
Our God given assignment always begins with a step of obedience. God will always take you to a higher ground because He knows there is more for us, but we need to be bold in our faith and obedience to step out and walk in our God given assignment. Ps Phil speaks a encourgaing and faith rising message on our God given assignment and how to walk in it.
We are called to boldness, because the Godly are as bold as a lion. We need to start being bold in our faith, prayers, our calling, our evangelism, in our walk. We can't do this life God has called us to with fear and timidity, we can only do it with great boldness and a stirred up faith.
Prayer might just be the most important thing about us. But what does it look like to have a life of prayer? And what if we don't see the effects of our prayer as soon as we hope?
In the beginning, the world was deformed and in darkness... but God said, "Let there be light..." and there was light. God can do whatever He decides to do because He controls whatever He decides because He is the Creator. Your life is in His hands because He is in control and we can trust Him.
Have you ever thought 'my life seems pointless' or 'what am I even doing?' Today's message might be exactly what you need to hear then. God has a plan for your life and you have a purpose. Madz Deyzel unpacks the gospel and shows you what God's plan was for you all along.
Our Father is not absent. He is always present and His presence is powerful. He's worked His way to us, and His Holy Spirt now empowers us to outwork the reality of His Kingdom here on Earth. He forms us into the image of Jesus, so we can't take credit for being a good or bad person but simply look to our Father who created us.
