A podcast for those who have chosen (or are considering) a childfree lifestyle. MomofNone.com
Restaurants are not having it! In recent days, several articles have come out about extra fees some restaurants have started charging for bad behavior.
I found a letter to Dear Abby from an older woman who wanted advice on getting her 5 adult children to call and visit her. Tune in to hear what if I and Abby agree on what this writer should do. As a childfree person, how do you prevent turning into the lonely older adult at the pharmacy?
Have you ever been asked to switch seats on a plane to accommodate a family who wants to sit together? On today's episode, I talk about ways you can say no to switching without feeling guilty. I also talk about other travel related issues, messy and screaming kids!
Earlier this year, a restaurant in NJ instituted a new policy to restrict children under 10. Nettie's House of Spaghetti in Tinton Falls, NJ implemented this policy in March. One of my most popular episodes is Episode 3: Should children be allowed in places traditionally marketed to adults. In that episode I talked about kids at spas, breweries and bars. And the consensus of the childfree community is NO, they should not be in spaces that would be considered adults only. In this instance it's a restaurant that previously welcomed all children but changed their policy to restrict children under 10. Needless to say, parents were not happy.
After a hiatus, the Mom of None podcast is back with a brand new season, and in this episode, I talk about a hot topic for childfree couples: babysitting. What happens when one partner agrees to babysit a young family member, and the other sees it as a threat to their decision not to have children?
Since my episode on advocating for yourself at the GYN was so popular, I'm back with stories of women who have been successful in getting permanent birth control. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

I'm often asked if I regret not having children. I don't. I have made the best decision for myself with the information I had the the time. But what if I wanted to change my mind? If I thought it was the best decision for me, I would. You always have the power of choice and it's your choice to change your mind and live the life you've created for yourself to the fullest. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
Vivica A Fox was asked if she would consider adoption because she doesn't have children of her own. Well, this set off a firestorm and once again, being childfree is questioned as a realistic choice for women. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

Recently Tamron Hall started a series called “Candid Conversations” and the first episode was about what defines womanhood and for some womanhood means motherhood. There was a panel of women, 2 married moms and two SINKs along with Iyanla Vanzant. For me it was a very unbalanced conversation. Drop your comments at momofnone.com

Kamala Harris recently accepted the nomination for Vice President of the Democratic Party. Since she doesn’t have children of her own, I wanted to know if she was #TeamNoKids or #MommyMafiaAdjacent. This podcast does not endorse any political party nor candidate. This podcast does endorse voting. I don’t care who you vote for as long as you vote. momofnone.com
