I share this podcast in the midst of my own storm this morning. Our family needs prayers for my daughter Brook. In prayer this morning, the Lord impressed me to do a podcast and give this message about Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego defied the golden idol of FEAR. ICHABOD is a dreadful word meaning “The GLORY has departed!” The glory of God abides with us in the precious Holy Spirit. When sin abounds and is allowed to continue, the Holy Spirit cannot abide with us. People often complain that God doesn't get involved enough with the sufferings of the oppressed because they don't understand how the heart of the Father is longsuffering, even with the wicked. However, there comes a day that God will bring His righteous judgment, either directly, or by placing His Word in the mouths of His people, to cut off, tear down and destroy the authority of the oppressor. The Word tells us He will not hold blameless he who oppresses the poor. This judgment brings relief, joy, resolution and wholeness back into the lives of the oppressed. It is RESTORING to God's people! He is a loving, good and merciful God, even in His judgments. We should desire to see the wrongs made right and seek the throne of Our Father on behalf of our regions, cities, communities and families. God has been doing great things around my household. This is a testimony that has to be shared and told.
