A childless old woman who is drunk on wine is about as defenceless and vulnerable as life can get in Old Testament times. This woman who represents the city of Jerusalem has been brought down by her own personal four horsemen: ruin, destruction, famine and sword. She is inconsolable and her children are as powerless as she is, lying unconscious on the ground like an antelope caught in a net and which has fainted from fear. The prophet Isaiah is one of literature's great poets and his book is rich in metaphors like this one.I hope you love it as much as I do.Written and produced by Chas BayfieldMusic by Michael Auld and Jon Hawkins MusicCover art by Lisa GoffSend any comments or feedback to contact@whollybuyable.comX: @WhollyBuyable

(This podcast was previously recorded and published on August 1, 2020) Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of ME, saith the Lord. (Righteous of God because it was God who told you to do this or gave you this information.) Consider those things God told you to do. ***** The servants of God are those who obey God; those who follow the Word of God: Some people who say they are Christians have actually told me they do not follow scripture because they have their own church doctrine. Jesus warned HIS own disciples: Matthew 16 6 Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees. 12 Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees. We have Bibles. Each of us are responsible for the doctrines of the Bible and when those doctrines conflict with that which we hear taught at churches, we must choose Bible. *** I Corinthians 14:27-28 If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret. 28 But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God. 39 Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues. *** James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. *** Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. *** Matthew 7:21-25 Jesus says ... Not every one that saith unto ME, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of MY Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to ME in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in THY name? and in THY name have cast out devils? and in THY name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from ME, ye that work iniquity. 24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of MINE, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. *** 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
At our final Prayer Gathering, Pastor Nick Newman challenges us to pray bold prayers of expansion, preparing our hearts and church for the future God is leading us into. Drawing from Isaiah 54, he reminds us that expansion requires action. This message was recorded live August 31st, 2025.

There's something about jumping into the pool from the high dive that really gets you; If you get up there and you just go for it, then no problem. But if you stand up there and start thinking about it, then the longer you stand there, the harder it gets to jump in. In his message today, Pastor Richard warns you about waiting to get right with God. The longer you put it off, the harder your heart will become. Don't Hesitate. Commit yourself to Him now!
Isaiah 54 is God's love letter to the broken, the rejected, and the weary. He speaks to a barren woman, symbolic of a desolate nation, and promises supernatural expansion, redemption, and honor. God's wrath is momentary, but His compassion is everlasting. This chapter declares:"No weapon formed against you shall prosper""My covenant of peace will never be removed""You will forget the shame of your youth"What was once ashamed will be restored with beauty. What was once oppressed will now be established in righteousness. What was once abandoned will now be called beloved. It's a divine promise that God's people are not forsaken—they are chosen, protected, and destined for increase and peace. Isaiah 54 is God's love letter to the broken, the rejected, and the weary. Do you have a personal budget? Some kind of means to track how much you have to spend on the different things you need, or want. If so, then you know that you can't just take your whole paycheck and spend it on whatever you feel like. You need to buy the essentials first. In today's message, Pastor Richard shares with you an invitation from God not to waste your life on worthless things, but to come to Him, because He has everything you need.
I don't know about you, but I certainly remember receiving my fair share of discipline growing up. Well, if I'm being honest, there were probably a handful of things that got missed. But you know what? As much as I hated it then, I understand that it was for my good. In today's message, Pastor Richard relates the discipline of a child to God's discipline in your life. If God is chastening you, it's because He loves you, and He means it for your good.
A Perpetual Covenant of Peace for all the Gentiles together with the Jew under Christ! This chapter speaks of the glorious New City and how Jesus will be our Husband, protector, and defender, showing us His kindness, peace and Mercy forever...oh yeah...in a city who's foundations are all precious stones like Sapphires, Rubies, and crystal!! I am not a Pastor, and agree with God's word that women are not supposed to be Pastors. However, all people are called to share the gospel. It is perfectly acceptable and Biblical for women to lead Bibles studies outside the church as an ancillary addition to the church, and especially if it is a viable avenue for study of the Word on a daily basis, like I'm doing on this show, and paving the way for all of us to be closer to the Lord and become more knowledgeable of the Bible. Isaiah 54:10 | Annette Santiago-España | June 21, 2025 by Church of the Advent Hope
Trust In Him And Walk In Obedience Isaiah 54:2-5 2“Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. 3For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities. 4“Do not be afraid; you will not be put to shame. Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated. You will forget the shame of your youth and remember no more the reproach of your widowhood. 5For your Maker is your husband— the Lord Almighty is his name— the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; he is called the God of all the earth.

This week we continue in our series in ISAIAH called "DWELL". Today's message from Isaiah 54-57, is from pastor Cole Tawney and is titled “Gathering God”. As followers of Jesus Christ, we must place ourselves in a church culture and leadership that follows and “trusts” the heart of God as one who graciously “gathers” and “gives” to undeserved people.
