We are in a day when there are so many voices screaming at once, that people are becoming confused about what or who to believe anymore. This is an END TIME TACTIC to cause souls to get confused and take their eyes off of the SIMPLICITY of what Jesus did on the cross. Many new and old false doctrines are being heaved onto social media and preached from pulpits. There is GOOD NEWS in the midst of all this confusion! Salvation is SIMPLE. It's for EVERYONE. It's NOT COMPLICATED and it will always weave you back through the FALSE DOCTRINES and to the LOVE of Christ Jesus. Maybe it's time for YOU and I to get back to SIMPLICITY…the LOVE of the Father and the foot of the CROSS. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/heatherannmiller/message

Born and raised in a small town in Mansfield, Connecticut, Alexa Curtis knew she didn't fit into the “normal social mold”. When she was 7 years old, her father was wrongfully convicted of a heinous crime and put in a maximum security prison. By the age of 12, her father was released from jail but during that challenging period of life, Alexa started writing and expressing herself through fashion to help her cope, starting a fashion blog; A Life in the Fashion Lane which became a platform for her to express her feelings about everything relating to teens, body image, and mental health. As Alexa evolved, her blog naturally shifted from fashion to discussing sensitive topics that teens and young adults face every day. A Life in the Fashion Lane was changed to Life Unfiltered with Alexa Curtis. It became a lifestyle website and podcast for teens & parents discussing topics such as social media and mental health. Not only did Alexa turn her little fashion blog into a full-time lifestyle platform for teens, but through cold-pitching, she got sponsored by brands like British Airways, T-Mobile, Lands' End, and more. Today, on top of helping her consulting clients pitch themselves with her tried and true framework, Alexa is the CEO and founder of Be Fearless and the Be Fearless Summit, a pop-up summit that appeared at Drexel University right before we were in a pandemic lockdown in 2020 and has since premiered at UCONN, Vanderbilt, Central Connecticut State University, and UC Berkeley. Alexa has spoken at numerous colleges; (Northeastern, UConn, Eastern Connecticut, Rutgers) along with high schools – discussing how to be fearless as well as on mental health and social media. Alexa has had the honor of speaking alongside Amal Clooney and Serena Williams at Penn Women and in Sept 2018, she added ‘host' to her arsenal as she launched her own radio show on Radio Disney called “Fearless Every Day” with Alexa Curtis which was the first of its kind and broke new ground for the Radio Disney where Alexa interviewed various guests who shared their journey of overcoming obstacles/challenges and chasing after their dreams. Recently, Be Fearless Summit was acquired by upskilling and mentorship platform GrasshoppHer. Alexa works with the co-founder Heather Miller on their membership model and reinvented career fairs. If you are about to have a significant birthday (aren't they all) and want to be adventurous, listen to this podcast. I'm still determining how I stumbled on Heth's Goes Biking Instagram page, but I'm so glad I did. What a joy to follow someone who decides to move out of her comfort zone and do so in such a humorous way; I encourage you to follow her adventures. Despite being an avid cake eater, Heather Miller decided to celebrate turning fifty with something other than a 50-candle birthday cake. A recreational biker, Heather decided to take her bike adventure to the next level and announced a birthday bike adventure. Cycling 600 km around South Korea started the Heth Goes Biking Instagram page. What have you been saying you want to do but have yet to do? Making changes can sometimes be scary, so if you need motivation, read my book Forward After 50, The Rising Reinventors. After reading, you can permit yourself to dream on a large scale and create a plan of action. The first step to ageing positively is downloading my freebie, The Secret to Ageing Positively, here.
The ML community is rapidly exploring techniques for prompting language models (LMs) and for stacking them into pipelines that solve complex tasks. Unfortunately, existing LM pipelines are typically implemented using hard-coded"prompt templates", i.e. lengthy strings discovered via trial and error. Toward a more systematic approach for developing and optimizing LM pipelines, we introduce DSPy, a programming model that abstracts LM pipelines as text transformation graphs, i.e. imperative computational graphs where LMs are invoked through declarative modules. DSPy modules are parameterized, meaning they can learn (by creating and collecting demonstrations) how to apply compositions of prompting, finetuning, augmentation, and reasoning techniques. We design a compiler that will optimize any DSPy pipeline to maximize a given metric. We conduct two case studies, showing that succinct DSPy programs can express and optimize sophisticated LM pipelines that reason about math word problems, tackle multi-hop retrieval, answer complex questions, and control agent loops. Within minutes of compiling, a few lines of DSPy allow GPT-3.5 and llama2-13b-chat to self-bootstrap pipelines that outperform standard few-shot prompting (generally by over 25% and 65%, respectively) and pipelines with expert-created demonstrations (by up to 5-46% and 16-40%, respectively). On top of that, DSPy programs compiled to open and relatively small LMs like 770M-parameter T5 and llama2-13b-chat are competitive with approaches that rely on expert-written prompt chains for proprietary GPT-3.5. DSPy is available at https://github.com/stanfordnlp/dspy 2023: O. Khattab, Arnav Singhvi, Paridhi Maheshwari, Zhiyuan Zhang, Keshav Santhanam, Sri Vardhamanan, Saiful Haq, Ashutosh Sharma, Thomas T. Is it too early to play Christmas music? Ok, maybe... we will hold off a few more weeks. But that's not going to stop us from getting exciting about the upcoming holiday season! One of our favorite things is downtown McMinnville during the holidays so we thought we would kick off the season with Episode 47: Downtown Girls. This week we chat with McMinnville Downtown Association presidents Dani Chisolm (current) and Heather Miller (past) about what makes downtown so magical this time of year and what we can do to support our local businesses. We realize not everyone may know about the work that goes into keeping our downtown a place that locals and visitors want to spend time in, and we are taking a moment to recognize the sometimes herculean efforts made by the MDA to keep such a vibrant living room for our community. We hope that you're as excited as Chelsey is about the holidays and that we will see you downtown soon!

Religious difference is integral to life in the United States. Each religious tradition and community exists within a mosaic of cultural, historical, social, ethnic, and racial contexts. Trying to find the balance and create an urgency for interreligious pluralism is not a mission that many would choose to take on willingly, but this week we speak with a person who works for such an organization that has made it their goal to do just that. Heather Miller Rubens is the Executive Director and Roman Catholic Scholar at the Institute for Islamic, Christian, and Jewish Studies (ICJS). She is responsible for advancing the organization's vision to build an interreligious society in which dialogue replaces division, friendship overcomes fear, and education eradicates ignorance. The Institute for Islamic, Christian, and Jewish Studies (ICJS) believe engaging religious difference is necessary and transformative. The ICJS works to dismantle religious bias and bigotry to foster an interreligious society in which dialogue replaces division, friendship overcomes fear, and education eradicates ignorance. Through courses, fellowships, online events, and scholarship initiatives, ICJS builds learning communities where religious difference becomes a powerful force for good. “I wish a lot of young people knew that it's OK to be different,” says Alexa Curtis, 25-year-old Gen Z entrepreneur and co-founder of GrasshoppHer. In 2011, at just 12 years old, Alexa started a blog called "Life in the Fashion Lane" as a way to escape the relentless bullying she endured at school. She used this platform to discuss everything from body image, mental health, to teen life. Eventually, she became a Radio Disney Host, before leaving to launch the Be Fearless Summit. Hear what this summit was all about and how it was acquired by GrasshoppHer, an upskilling community for women ages 24 to 37. Co-founded with McKinsey consultant Heather Miller, GrasshoppHer helps other women become fearless founders just like Alexa. Highlights from today's conversation include: It's important to talk to people. Ask them how they do what they do so you can learn to do it in a way that works for you. Figure out the natural extensions of your brand so that you can make more money without putting all your eggs in one basket. Look around you, at what is missing from your life, and build a business around it. Take a risk and go for it. No regrets. Quotes • “At the end of the day, trade shows and getting in front of people, and that face to face connection is really how you build that brand.” (16:17-16:26 | Alexa) • “The the opposite side of not taking the risk is the possibility that it works out. So if you take the risk, and even if it doesn't work out, if you've taken a risk, that's that dramatic, likely something is going to happen to you in your life, that's gonna make you realize it was worth the risk. So I would say, you have to go for it. Because otherwise I wouldn't want to live with that kind of regret.” (22:12-22:33 | Alexa) • “Limit your scrolling. The more that you're comparing yourself to other companies, the more that you're wasting your time not being focused on scaling yours.” (44:53-45:01 | Alexa) • “I don't need to work 24 hour days, that's a me thing. I used to work and wouldn't stop until eight, nine, and I was so tired, and I was still so unhappy. And that was something I really struggled with at Disney. Trying something fun and unique, that's personal or even business related, just makes you a well rounded person.
