A testimonial and part instruction giving the believer in Christ an idea on how to witness in everyday life. In this case when you are at the store. Going verse by verse we see the Lord's instruction, encouragement, and warnings as he sends out the 12 disciples now called apostles to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. We can glean practical tips for our evangelism today.
Taken from Mark 5:1-20 we look at one of the first evangelists recorded in the Gospels. It is the demoniac that Jesus delivered and put in his right mind. When wanting to follow the Lord he was
As promised by the Lord through Paul everyone makes it to shore alive. Paul ministers to the people of Malta and prays for many healings. The island people of Malta showed them much kindness and gave provisions for the ship's refugees. After three months on the island they boarded a ship that had wintered
Paul is handed over to Julius, a centurion, who would conduct Paul and other prisoners to Rome. Paul had found favor with Julius. They found a ship bound for Italy and started sail first stopping at Fair Havens. It was recommended they continue to sail against Paul's advice hoping to reach Phoenix and harbor there for the winter.
After a short introduction Paul begins his testimony with his pre-conversion life growing up as a Jew of all Jews. He gives several statements about the resurrection as he tells of his persecution against the Christians. Paul now moves into his conversion on the road to Damascus and ends with a description of his calling to preach the Gospel explaining some main points.
he rich man and Lazarus whom many consider not to be a parable but it is in parable form. This story was for the benefit of the Pharisees who had just derided Jesus after he gave a previous lesson on, “you cannot serve God and Mammon”. The Pharisees who were lovers of money and
Festus takes over and has a meeting with the Jews. The Jews come down to Caesarea for a hearing accusing Paul. Festus, wanting to do the Jews a favor, tries to convince Paul to go up to Jerusalem for a trial.
Topical Teaching Episode 23 as requested to discuss the content of a Gospel presentation, and in particular, for street preaching. Using multiple texts we will look at what the Bible has for a straight forward Gospel message. Can there be such a thing
Episode 22 in a Topical Teaching Category teaching on what I believe to be the correct interpretation of 1 Cor 15:29 which talks about being baptized for the dead. Most commentaries think it is talking about a pagan ritual or a practice used by modern-day cults. You will have to watch or listen to the episode to find out what I think it is. A clue is that
Episode 77 - A social stereotype saying meaning; “I don't want any solicitation”. This was also a man's response when given a Gospel tract in Seattle several years ago. Evangelist Bob quipped back, “you gave nothing, Christ gave it all at the cross”
The Jews come down to Caesarea with great accusations against Paul having a “hired gun” named Tertullus. After their false testimony before Felix Paul has his turn to state his case. Paul, as he refutes the charges, takes opportunity and testifies to the Gospel during his discourse. Felix holds over his decision until Lysias the commander comes
Episode 44 - After His arrest Paul is brought before the Jewish Council. He perceives that one part is Pharisees and one part is Sadducees. He claims he is being held for believing in the resurrection of the dead. This in turn divided
After leaving Athens Paul arrives in Corinth where he stays for a year and a half after getting encouragement from the Lord. While there he meets a couple who become his partners; Priscilla & Aquila. After preaching in the synagogue
I borrowed this question from a book written by Francis Schaeffer by the same name. Since Christ came, was born, and ultimately died on the cross for our sins, life should be different.
In Luke there is an overview of their return to Nazareth. Luke does not include the many portions we find in Matthew chapter 2. Matthew gives us some detail of how they left Egypt
A tragic result of two things: Herod the Great was an egomaniac driven to maintain his power at all costs. Viewing Jesus as a rival to his throne, he tried to find out where he lived
Joseph is warned in a dream to take the young child and flee to Egypt because Herod is seeking the young child in order to kill Him. They stayed there until the death of Herod and when they
We learn from our text that the 3 wise men or “Magi” didn't show up on the night the Christ child was born as tradition has led us to believe. We also discover it doesn't say how
Perhaps the only portion of Scripture that has some questions about how after leaving the temple in Jerusalem they went back to Bethlehem instead of going to Nazareth at that point. We discuss this,
The Word of God recorded by Luke takes us on a treacherous journey as we see Joseph and Mary make the difficult trip from their hometown of Nazareth to Bethlehem. This is the place of their registry and where Mary
We cover three main announcements; first to virgin Mary, secondly to Joseph the husband of Mary, and thirdly to a group of shepherds in a field nearby the birthplace. This did not come with great pomp
A brief overview of angels in general and then in the Old Testament. After that we move to the New Testament with a list of appearances in the early church before sharing details of their role
Our main text is Isaiah 7:14 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” This is nothing less than a biological miracle
As tedious as these may be they are very necessary. In this case it is to be able to prove you are the Messiah. The Jews kept excellent records even during their captivity in Babylon.
A general rundown on the major prophecies concerning the birth of Christ. This will set as a foundation for each future section and will give more detail then. One of the reasons for these is to tell us
The Christmas Series starts off with an introduction (Episode #1 or #74 in radio broadcasts) of 13 separate topics related to the birth of Christ. These topics focus on the different aspects to the birth taken from Matthew and Luke although we start of with OT prophecies.
The chapter begins with Paul, Silas & Company entering into Thessalonica and as their custom preached in the synagogue. Some were persuaded while others rose up in opposition.
False brethren came in adding circumcision to the work of Christ and causing division. Paul and company were sent by the church in Antioch to Jerusalem to confer with the leaders over this matter. After debate, testimony, and Scripture they send a decree by letter back to the church in Antioch. Several brethren, one of which was Silas, return with Paul and his party. The letter was circulated and everyone was set straight on the issue.
Paul & Barnabas on the move preaching and making disciples. They get strong opposition from the unbelieving Jews and Gentiles. A man is healed in Lystra as the crowds initially think the team are gods decide to stone them a short time later. Paul returns to the city alive before leaving for Derbe.
Paul's Preaching in Detail After an invitation by the synagogue leader Paul gives a Gospel presentation beginning with the history of the Jewish nation transitioning into the death and resurrection of Christ. He leaves them with an appeal and warning. Most of the Jews reject but the Gentiles are soaking it up and hear with joy. Many are saved before the guys are kicked out of the region. As always practical instruction given verse by verse. 33rd in a series from the Book of Acts - Acts 13:16-52 recorded in home studio Midtown Sacramento, California. 10/10/21 http://www.sharingyourfaithradio.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Acts-13_16-52.mp3 Acts 13:16-52 Download |:mp3 | File Size |:69.37 MB | 13 times

Missionaries Sent Out From Antioch I spend a lot of time in the first 3 verses going over the different aspects of leadership. Then there is fasting and laying on of hands which could be topical studies themselves. Paul & Barnabas, along with John Mark start out on a missionary journey proclaiming Christ. They first encounter a sorcerer before a government leader is saved. After that they move on to other areas preaching in the synagogues first. 32nd in a series from the Book of Acts - Acts 13:1-15 recorded in home studio Midtown Sacramento, California. This chapter becomes pivotal as we see less of Peter, while Paul becomes the dominant apostle throughout the rest of the book. Persecution is prevalent as James, brother of John is killed. Although Peter is arrested with the same fate in mind, he escapes prison by the aid of an angel. An angel also kills Herod at the end of chapter. We also discussed the ongoing theme of the church multiplying (V 24) and how in the early church there were miracles, visions, healings, and numerous
Starting with Peter recounting his experience from chapter 10 and finishing with Barnabas going to Antioch and then searching for Saul of Tarsus. We are introduced to Agabus the prophet and finally Saul, Barnabas, and John Mark taking financial aid to Jerusalem.
After a long absence from recording these Bible studies through the book of Acts we pick up where we left off. Peter begins preaching the Gospel to Cornelius and all his friends and family. The Holy Spirit falls on the crowd and they all get saved. This is evidenced by them speaking in tongues. After that Peter suggests they get baptized in water.
Episode 70 - August 6, 2021 Having not produced a podcast episode in quite some time I thought I would catch you up with what is going on and also a few new
I discuss our tendency to not fully appreciate nor understand God's Holiness. In contrast we minimize our sin. Is the God of the Old Testament, the same God of the New Testament? I cover this idea and how some preachers, although well-meaning, bring out a different God. Others apologize for God thinking we are helping him out by covering up His so-called "bad points". The last portion is a sample of street preaching.
Episode 68 - February 20, 2021 In this episode I share about my long absence from posting shows and share about the future
Video taping once again I had Robert Payne as my co-host, we revisited my short video on preaching during a riot, talked about what is the future of evangelism and what will it look like in a post Covid-19 world. Robert shares a short gospel message and toward the end I play the audio portion of preaching during a riot.
We see this divine setup by the Lord to arrange the meeting of the Apostle Peter and the Roman Centurion Cornelius in order for the Gospel to go to the Gentiles. Cornelius is a man who fears God and practices faith although does not know of the way of salvation through Jesus Christ. Peter is shown in a vision that God can cleanse what is common or unclean.
Something new and different this time with a live video broadcast on Facebook. I extracted the audio from the live video and placed it here. Discussion includes; latest outreach to people in line at the Hobby Lobby store, gospel sign on the highways, future evangelism during the pandemic, the gospel explained by answering who is Jesus and why do we need Him? No longer going to beat the dead horse of why
Peter’s Ministry in Lydda & Joppa In this short passage that ends chapter nine we see Peter traveling to several of the coast cities of Israel ministering primarily to the saints. However the healings and the raising of the dead cause a lot of people to believe and turn to the Lord.
Taken from Acts 4:18-22 we see the apostles engage in civil disobedience, something that is pertinent in light of today’s pandemic and shelter at home orders by the government. We ask, and try to answer, when is it appropriate to disobey the governing authorities and what does that look like? A reminder that we have to be willing to take the consequences that come with it. Also toward the end of this half-hour episode we take the top 5 FAQ regarding the police and the street preacher.
Saul Preaches Christ - Escapes Damascus, Saul immediately preaches Christ in the synagogues of Damascus. Upon discovering a death threat against Saul the disciples lower him over the wall in a basket and he goes to Jerusalem. Barnabus verifies Saul’s meeting with the Lord and convinces the disciples he is in fact one of them now. Then Saul preaches there that Jesus is the
Saul’s Damascus Road Conversion - We examine the infamous road to Damascus conversion of Saul of Tarsus, later known as the Apostle Paul. In this detailed account we see how the Lord orchestrated the events using people in His plan for salvation. Paul dramatically converted along with blindness, abstinence from food and drink, healing, baptism, and being with disciples. Although you and I may not experience what Paul did, we will have our lives interrupted by God at his precise moment in our lives on His timetable. Thus concluding God is
That is the text we are working from on this show to simply point out that there is nothing wrong with the sower or the seed in the story. It is men’s hearts that are the problem. The application warns against pragmatism. However before the teaching I give a discourse on what is happening with the ministry, the recent pandemic, and sharing a brief Gospel message. At the end of the program we have time for one question;
Philip & the Ethiopian Eunuch - Perhaps one of the most common passages to teach on personal witness and evangelism. Philip leaves a revival in Samaria to find himself going down a lonely road in the desert. This is where he divinely encounters the Ethiopian eunuch. We see a good example of one-on-one witnessing during their dialogue. The eunuch believes and is baptized by Philip before the two are miraculously separated by the Lord. The eunuch returns to his own country while Philip is found in another city. Then going from there preaching in all the cities until he comes to Cesarea.
Simon the Sorcerer - Multitudes of both men and women believed and were baptized. Then we come to one of the more controversial passages in the book of Acts. We see the profession of faith by Simon the Sorcerer, only later to discover the improper motivation for coming to the Lord. It says Simon believed and was baptized. He then followed Philip. Peter & John come to solidify the salvations by praying for them to receive the Holy Spirit. Simon’s heart is revealed thus being rebuked by Peter and brings into question if his faith was genuine.
Christ is Preached in Samaria - Stephen is buried by devout men. On the heels of severe persecution led by Saul, the disciples were scattered everywhere preaching the Word. Philip preaching the Gospel into Samaria, with signs and wonders following, bringing great joy to the city. The multitudes heeded the message seeing the healing of many who had illnesses.
In 1 Samuel 7:15-17 we see that Samuel went on a circuit to different cities judging Israel before returning to home in Ramah. We also will be looking at the same aspect in Jesus, Philip, and Paul. This half-hour episode will focus on being a itinerant evangelist in somewhat of a “how to” session. My discourse will include biblical examples and my own testimony.
