Walking through fertility struggles or pregnancy loss? You’re not alone. What The Fertility is a podcast where professionals share their insights into fertility support, real women share their personal fertility journey, and your hosts talk all things fertility.
Amanda Bristow and Catherine Baker
The What The Fertility podcast is an engaging and informative show hosted by Cat and Amanda. Their diversity in stories and experiences, combined with their engaging hosting style, make this podcast a must-listen. Each week, they share educational and informative episodes that provide insight into the world of fertility and pregnancy. I have recommended this podcast to many people because of its valuable content and relatable stories.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is the diversity in stories and experiences shared by the guests. Cat and Amanda do an excellent job of bringing on a wide range of guests who share their unique journeys with fertility and pregnancy. This diversity allows listeners to feel represented and find relatable experiences, making them feel less alone in their own journeys.
Another great aspect of this podcast is how informative it is. The hosts and guests provide valuable knowledge about various topics related to fertility, pregnancy, IVF, and more. Whether you're just starting your journey or have already been through it, there's always something new to learn from each episode.
Furthermore, the hosts' ability to create a safe space for open conversations about sensitive topics is commendable. They tackle difficult subjects with joy, healing, and understanding in their voices. This creates a comforting atmosphere for listeners who may be going through similar challenges.
However, one possible improvement for this podcast would be to include more diverse perspectives. While the guests bring varied experiences, it would be interesting to hear from different professionals in the field or individuals from different cultural backgrounds. This could provide even more depth and insight into the topic of fertility.
In conclusion, The What The Fertility podcast is a wonderful resource for anyone going through fertility challenges or seeking information about pregnancy. With engaging hosts, diverse stories, informative content, and a supportive community feel, this podcast provides valuable insight that can resonate with listeners. I highly recommend giving it a listen!

Jessica and her husband started trying four years ago for a baby. After six months of trying without success, she sought care from her OBGYN. Originally she was diagnosed with PCOS, which she took a self resolution approach by controlling her diet and incorporating low intensity exercise. After another six months of negative pregnancy tests, Jessica moved forward with deeper testing. Her OB suggested they start with medicated cycles. At this point, she also suggested her husband take a semen analysis. Upon receiving the test results, Jessica and her husband realized they would be facing double the diagnosis. The results showed that her husband had low sperm count and poor morphology.Tune in to follow their journey through a urological surgery and multiple rounds of IVF.

Maddie spent the last three years struggling with infertility. Over those years, she was diagnosed with PCOS, prolactinoma, and endometriosis. They completed six medicated cycles and multiple IUIs. Finally their RE sat Maddie down and told her enough is enough, she would either need to move on to IVF (which was not something her and her husband were comfortable moving forward with) or it was time to hang up the towel. Maddie was distraught and advocated for just one more IUI since her insurance covered this one final procedure.
