I genuinely think 18 year old me would be in complete disbelief that this episode exists. So for some context for anyone who hasn't been here for 10 years, Kayla Itsines is the reason I started this Instagram account at all, I literally had “Kayla” in my username because my page was dedicated to doing her guide. In a weird way, everything that came after that was a complete snowball effect into what I do now, and what my life looks like, so getting to sit down with her felt very, very full circle.I really wanted this conversation to go deeper than just the "Bikini Body Guide" era and how quickly it grew. We get into success, what it means to be thrust into it so young, what it does to the people around you, and how you navigate big life moments in the public eye. We also speak about pregnancy loss and pregnancy after loss in a way neither of us have really shared online before, as well as her decision to fully reacquire Sweat after selling it for $400 million in 2021. This is honestly one of my favourite episodes we've ever recorded and I feel so grateful to Kayla for not only rearranging a flight to make it happen, but also being so open and honest with me. In this two-part conversation, we return to Sarah Guigue's fertility journey with honesty, vulnerability, and deep intention. When we first recorded in November 2025, Sarah was still pregnant. She made the brave choice to speak in the middle of it, not after the ending was known, because she wanted to capture the raw intensity of pregnancy after loss. The fear. The hope. The constant calculations. The way joy and terror lived side by side. Sarah shares how private she wanted to be during that pregnancy. How she almost didn't tell her immediate family. How she entered what she calls her "nesting" period, pulling inward, limiting public appearances, and protecting herself from questions and commentary that felt too heavy to carry. Not because she wasn't grateful, but because she was surviving. She speaks powerfully about the strength it took to try again. About her deep belief that G-d co-creates life with us, and that we are meant to be vessels, even when the risk feels unbearable. That faith didn't erase fear, but it gave her the courage to move forward anyway. In the second half of this episode, recorded after the birth of her baby, Sarah reflects on how her emotions have shifted. What stayed with her. What surprised her. And how pregnancy after loss doesn't simply end at delivery, even when the outcome is joyful. This episode is for anyone who has lived in the in-between. Anyone who protected their heart by staying quiet. Anyone who kept going not because they were fearless, but because something deeper carried them forward. Trigger warning: This episode includes discussion of a current pregnancy. Please take care while listening.SummaryIn this episode of The Worst Girl Gang Ever, we chat with Becca about pregnancy, miscarriage, and the emotional fallout that so often follows but rarely gets spoken about properly. Becca shares her experience of early pregnancy, the confusion and shock of miscarriage, and how deeply it impacted her mental health - alongside the constant background hum of anxiety that can come with pregnancy after loss. She also talks about running the London Marathon for TWGGE (yes, an actual marathon), and how training became both a physical challenge and an emotional outlet during a time when everything else felt uncertain. Becca reflects on the language used in medical settings, the miscommunication that can leave people feeling dismissed or unheard, and why self-advocacy is so crucial when navigating healthcare after baby loss.Together, we unpack the cultural taboos that still surround miscarriage and baby loss, why silence helps no one, and how finding the right support - whether through community, shared stories, or simply being believed - can make all the difference. This episode is about breaking the rules of polite conversation, pushing for better care, and reminding anyone walking this path that they are not alone. At the time of release, we're so glad to share that Becca brought her baby home safely. We are The Worst Girl Gang Ever Foundation. In this episode, Aimee sits down with Amanda Bryk, a new IWSTHAB board member, to talk honestly about miscarriage, anxiety, and the complicated reality of building a family after loss. Amanda shares her first miscarriage and the shock of learning there was no heartbeat at an early ultrasound, navigating that moment without her husband Darren present due to residency, and the emotional weight of making decisions no one prepares you for. As her losses continued, Amanda opens up about how anxiety followed her into subsequent pregnancies and how grief doesn't disappear just because you go on to have living children. Together, Aimee and Amanda talk about balancing careers, relocations, and family planning, the absence of miscarriage leave in the workplace, and the pressure to share deeply personal information just to get through the day. Amanda reflects on circumstantial infertility, social media support after loss, invasive questions that often come from ignorance, and the unexpected comfort of finding others who truly understand. This conversation also explores partnership. Amanda shares how she and Darren navigated different expectations around family size, guilt, responsibility, and how they kept showing up for one another through uncertainty, COVID, moves, and traumatic pregnancies. If you've experienced miscarriage, pregnancy loss, fertility anxiety, or the emotional whiplash of holding gratitude and grief at the same time, this episode is for you. You're not alone, and you're not doing it wrong. More about Amanda Bryk, JD: Amanda Bryk is a non-practicing attorney who worked in the financial markets practice of an AM100 law firm for 5 years. In Part 2 of 2 of Rachel Polans' TFMR story, we move into what happened after her baby's rare ‘de novo' genetic mutation diagnosis. The D&E procedure in Brooklyn, the physical reality of being postpartum without a baby. Rachel talks about what it was like being in a general surgery pre-op area with people there for all kinds of procedures, not a space designed for pregnancy loss.Rachel shares about the haunting due date, seeing other people who were pregnant at the same time have their babies, and struggling with the medical record that says "elective termination" when that's not what this was at all.Rachel also opens up about how being a genetic counselor shaped her grief differently - she never even knew the term TFMR existed until after her loss, even though she had counseled families through this exact experience. If you're postpartum without your baby, if you're struggling with how the medical system names (or doesn't name) what happened to you, if you work in healthcare and nobody prepared you for living through this yourself, or if you're trying to find your people and don't know what to search for: I hope Rachel's honesty about finding the TFMR community and now navigating pregnancy after loss will help you feel less alone.Thank you, Rachel, for sharing your baby's story with us

“I couldn't have my child bearing years end with a dead baby” with Taliya Corbett This is a messy, complicated truth of what it means to carry both heartbreak and hope. After the devastating stillbirth of her daughter, Ora, all Taliya could think was—“The only thing that will make me feel okay again is another baby.” But the road to pregnancy wasn't simple. This episode is for anyone who's been told that a new baby will "fix it"—and then finds themselves drowning in guilt when it doesn't feel that way at all. Because love after loss is not always immediate. And healing isn't always linear. And sometimes you need some medicine to help with the anxiety too More about Taliya Corbett: Homeschooling mom of five and one angel always in her heart. Today, Ali is talking to the "Vanderpump Rules" and "The Valley" GOAT: Kristen Doute. Kristen shares her entire family building story, starting with back in the day, when she and co-star Scheana Shay talked about freezing their eggs (although Kristen didn't do it then) to today, when she is happily engaged and expecting her first baby, a daughter, in June. Kristen talks about the sex education (or lack thereof) she got growing up in Michigan; how, when she met Luke, she was about to be 40 "and not playing around," and how she really wanted a family and stability. She talks about how she and Luke started to "not, not try" for a baby; getting pregnant naturally; and then, a devastating pregnancy loss (in her case, a "blighted ovum"). Kristen also talks about the unsexiness of sex on demand; going to see a fertility specialist, and how she felt triggered by the word, "infertile." She also talks about IUI; becoming pregnant after their loss; a bleeding scare at 12 or 13 weeks gestation; and how she and Luke are thriving today, waiting for the arrival of their baby girl -- and the second season of their hit Bravo reality show, "The Valley."Follow Kristen on IG: @kristendouteTOPICS COVERED IN THIS EPISODE: Infertility; TTC; sex education; chemical pregnancy; egg freezing; blighted ovum; miscarriage; IUI; hormones; pregnancy after loss; pregnancy hematoma; threatened miscarriage; guiltEPISODE SPONSORS: WORK OF ARTAli's Children's Book about IVF and Assisted Reproductive Technologyhttps://www.infertileafgroup.com/booksDo not miss Ali's children's book about IVF! Returning after sharing her recurrent pregnancy loss journey with us in episode 83, Xenia shares pregnancy after loss and the emotional and physical complications of that pregnancy. The Miscarriage Doula is an online service and resource for people who are navigating pregnancy loss. Learn more at themiscarriagedoula.co -- Since we last spoke with her, she worked on processing her recurrent pregnancy loss experience and took a break from trying to conceive. She also named the two babies and purchased tangible artwork to hang in her home. Other life events that have happened; moving, trouble with her job, in the UK the government now issues certificates for losses before 20 weeks (they previously didn't). In the Summer, she learned that she was pregnant again and was visiting her family in Eastern Europe where she had access to early pregnancy care. She had to go on a diabetic diet early in the first trimester, and watched her thyroid, as well as adding in a blood thinner due to a blood clotting concern. Around 11 weeks, she woke up covered in blood which was triggering so she called an ambulance to take her to the emergency room. A male OB immediately says that it's a miscarriage but an ultrasound (and other care in the hospital) confirms that the baby has a heartbeat but they see a large bleed. She's then admitted to the hospital for care. In the hospital, she learned that she had a low-lying placenta which was causing the bleeding and the hope was the placenta would move up as she progressed in her pregnancy. She had to stay at her parent's house (hours and hours of flights away) for many weeks without her husband. The rest of pregnancy was mostly smooth sailing and her baby (a boy!) was breech. Her birth was a planned/scheduled cesarean and her son is 8 months old at the time of recording. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/arden-cartrette/support

Together, they shed light on the disparities within the U.S. healthcare system and the critical gaps in care that may have saved Owen's life if Ana's concerns had been taken seriously. You'll learn evidence-based techniques for monitoring your baby's well-being at home, how to effectively communicate concerns to your care team, and ways to get involved in the movement to end preventable stillbirth in the U.S. Guest Bio: Following a “textbook” perfect pregnancy, Ana and her husband were blindsided by their son, Owen Nathaniel's, unexpected stillbirth. A subsequent, high-risk Pregnancy After Loss with 17 weeks of bedrest eventually blessed them with a healthy, living sibling for their elder daughter thanks to her own personal advocacy. Yet her family's struggles through stillbirth and two subsequent miscarriages before the birth of her second son, resulted in deep emotional birth trauma. This is a profoundly important episode for any new parent navigating sleep challenges with their baby. Helen is a mother of three and trauma-informed midwife who shares her experience of baby loss and PTSD. She acknowledges that her trauma has coloured her postpartum experience with her third baby and while the initial months were quite textbook when it came to sleep, it was the 4-month stage (a developmental ‘progression' that is often reflected in unsettled sleep) when her challenges began. She talks at length about her own mental health journey alongside her baby's persistent wakings and her choice to stay at an early parenting unit for sleep support.
