“For we speak as messengers approved by God to be entrusted with the Good News. Our purpose is to please God, not people. He alone examines the motives of our hearts.” (1 Thessalonians 2:4 NLT) As believers, we have the sacred trust of the gospel message. Jesus has given us our command: “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned” (Mark 16:15–16 NLT). That’s another worthwhile cost of following Christ: the responsibility of sharing His Good News with others. Every believer is called to do it. Every Christian is tasked with getting the gospel message out. In his letter to Timothy, the apostle Paul mentions “the glorious Good News entrusted to me by our blessed God” (1 Timothy 1:11 NLT). Emphasizing the sacred trust of the gospel again in 1 Thessalonians 2:4, he wrote, “For we speak as messengers approved by God to be entrusted with the Good News. Our purpose is to please God, not people. He alone examines the motives of our hearts” (NLT). Here’s what that means. As Christians, we all have the same gospel. And we each must ask ourselves the question, “How am I getting the gospel out?” It doesn’t matter how other people are getting the gospel out. That’s their responsibility. What matters is how we’re doing it. That’s our call as followers of Jesus, and it’s one we can’t ignore. Too much depends on our obedience. We need to think about our family, friends, coworkers, neighbors, and others in our sphere of influence and ask, “Am I getting the gospel out to these people in a way that’s clear, concise, and impactful?” Jesus sees exactly how diligent we are in carrying out our sacred responsibility. In the last chapter of the New Testament, He says, “Look, I am coming soon, bringing my reward with me to repay all people according to their deeds” (Revelation 22:12 NLT). That reward will be directly connected to how faithful we are in this life. Often, we place far too much stock in this life alone. We act as though everything that’s going to happen happens here. Of course, a lot of significant things do happen in this life. The most important decision we will ever make happens in this life: the decision about what we do with Jesus Christ. But we mustn’t let the things in this life distract us from our responsibility regarding the next life. Paul framed the urgency of our mission perfectly when he wrote, “But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, ‘How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!’” (Romans 10:14–15 NLT). Our faithfulness here will result in rewards there—in Heaven, and when Heaven comes to earth, when we go home. Reflection question: What does faithfulness to the gospel message look like in your life? From heaven, Jesus calls HIS ministers to work in the church: Ephesians 4:8;11-12 When HE (Jesus) ascended up on high, HE led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men... And HE gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: When a minister is called by Jesus from heaven, for the NT church, God teaches that minister by HIS Spirit, by the Holy Spirit. I John 2:27-28 But the anointing which ye have received of HIM abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in HIM. And now, little children, abide in HIM; that, when HE shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before HIM at HIS coming. Since I have been on internet, blog & podcasts, I have received multiple emails from men around the world who say they are pastors and they want me to be their "mentor". But ministers are called by Jesus to be ministers and taught by Jesus what to do and what to say. If a minister needs a human to supervise him, that man might not be called by God for the ministry. Galatians 1:10-12 Paul says: For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of (by) me is not after man. For I neither received it of (from) man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. I find many ministers do not know what ministry office they are called to do: apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor or teacher. These men are not likely called by Jesus to be ministers but they somehow try to put themselves into the ministry. Jude describes it as follows: Jude: vv. 17-19 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; How that they told you there should be mockers (copiers) in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. Peter also warned us: II Peter 2:1-3 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not. Many ministers today are not called by God nor taught by the Holy Spirit of God. They just put themselves into the ministry by going to a Bible College or by copying other men who do ministry work. And Jesus said this concerning the end times. Matthew 24:4-5 Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. ***** Ministry of apostle: works with church doctrine, causing individuals to set their doctrines by New Testament Bible. (Acts 15) Ministry of prophet: brings correction and instruction to the church to help individuals to get free from traps and to help them to stay free. (Hosea 12:13)

As leaders, we can demonstrate our confidence in God not based on our personal perfection, but in our response to God and how He works in our lives. Being approved by God through the things we have gone through and our response, that is integrity. When you cut through something that is solid wood, all of the layers are wood. It's the same thing through and through. Integrity is there. Integrity is consistency.

People are easily deceived into believing lies. Today, Pastor Johnny says Paul is relaying that the gospel is simple. The gospel is that Jesus died on the cross for you and me. When you believe that truth, you are saved. God wants you to have a relationship with Him, trust in His redeeming power today!
