(This podcast was previously published on March 28, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   From heaven, Jesus calls HIS ministers to work in the church:   Ephesians 4:8;11-12  When HE (Jesus) ascended up on high, HE led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men... And HE gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;  For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:   When a minister is called by Jesus from heaven, for the NT church, God teaches that minister by HIS Spirit, by the Holy Spirit.   I John 2:27-28   But the anointing which ye have received of HIM abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in HIM.  And now, little children, abide in HIM; that, when HE shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before HIM at HIS coming.   Since I have been on internet, blog & podcasts, I have received multiple emails from men around the world who say they are pastors and they want me to be their "mentor".   But ministers are called by Jesus to be ministers and taught by Jesus what to do and what to say.   If a minister needs a human to supervise him, that man might not be called by God for the ministry.   Galatians 1:10-12  Paul says:   For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of (by) me is not after man. For I neither received it of (from) man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.   I find many ministers do not know what ministry office they are called to do: apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor or teacher.   These men are not likely called by Jesus to be ministers but they somehow try to put themselves into the ministry.   Jude describes it as follows:   Jude: vv. 17-19 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;  How that they told you there should be mockers (copiers) in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.  These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.   Peter also warned us:   II Peter 2:1-3 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.  And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.  And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.   Many ministers today are not called by God nor taught by the Holy Spirit of God.  They just put themselves into the ministry by going to a Bible College or by copying other men who do ministry work.   And Jesus said this concerning the end times.   Matthew 24:4-5  Take heed that no man deceive you.  For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.   *****   Ministry of apostle:  works with church doctrine, causing individuals to set their doctrines by New Testament Bible.  (Acts 15)   Ministry of prophet:  brings correction and instruction to the church to help individuals to get free from traps and to help them to stay free.  (Hosea 12:13)

(This podcast was previously published on March 25, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   The Bible teaches us so much about God's plan concerning men and women and the way God created men and women.  The world tries to make everything the same, same opportunities, even same roles.   It is difficult to enter into our assignment from God and to understand the way God created us unless we view some scriptures on this subject.   God ordained the following:   Genesis 2:7-8   And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.   8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there HE put the man whom HE had formed.   18  And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.   21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and HE (God) took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;   22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made HE a woman, and brought her unto the man.   ***   God created the woman to be an helper to the man.   Some women will not marry.  Some women will be assigned other roles by God.   But most women will marry and when they do marry, God has created them especially for that man to be his help meet.   ***   Eve was deceived by Satan and after the transgression, God put the following assignment on the man and the woman and there was a difference in the role of the man and the woman.   For the man:   Genesis 3   17-19 And unto Adam HE (God) said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;  Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;  In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.   For the woman:   Genesis 3   16 Unto the woman HE (God) said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.   (Already we see that God has created the woman for the man so she would be a help meet to the man.)   ***   So we go forth perfectly created and joined by God.   But men and women change the creation in their own wisdom and things fall apart.   As long as we accept our assignments, God blesses us in that to which HE has assigned to us.   And as long as we do what God wants us to do we are blessed and we bless others by our lives, whether we marry or whether we are single.   God said to Isaac:  Genesis 26:3 Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee;   *****   Mark 10   Jesus says:   6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.   7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;   8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.   9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.   ***   Divorce was created because of the hardness of the heart:   Mark 10   2 And the Pharisees came to HIM (to Jesus) , and asked HIM, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting HIM.   3 And HE answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you?   4 And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away.   5 And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.   ***   Matthew 5:32   Jesus said:   But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.   * Woman who remarries after divorce commits adultery.   * Man who divorces a faithful wife will be the cause of her adultery if she remarries.   * Man who marries divorced woman commits adultery.   ***   Deborah, a married woman who judged Israel.   Judges 4   4 And Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, she judged Israel at that time.   5 And she dwelt under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in mount Ephraim: and the children of Israel came up to her for judgment.   6 And she sent and called Barak the son of Abinoam out of Kedeshnaphtali, and said unto him, Hath not the LORD God of Israel commanded, saying, Go and draw toward mount Tabor, and take with thee ten thousand men of the children of Naphtali and of the children of Zebulun?   7 And I will draw unto thee to the river Kishon Sisera, the captain of Jabin's army, with his chariots and his multitude; and I will deliver him into thine hand.   8 And Barak said unto her, If thou wilt go with me, then I will go: but if thou wilt not go with me, then I will not go.   9 And she said, I will surely go with thee:   (So there are times God uses a woman for multiple purposes.)   ***   Women often want to fulfill themselves.   My mother wanted to be a teacher.  My dad did not want my mother to work outside the home.  So my mother did not try to get a job outside the home.  My dad wanted my mother to stay at home and take care of me and the house.   Pam Padgett's younger sister had 4 children.  This sister wanted to be fulfilled and she wanted to work in a day care center.  She convinced her parents to buy the day care center for her.  Her husband was against her working outside the home and he wanted her to stay at home and take care of their children.  But she got the day care center.  She and her husband ended up in divorce.   Today so much is upside down and opposite to that set forth in Bible.   Things are getting worse and they grow farther away from Bible.   ***   Some women will not marry and they will have other assignments from God.   I Corinthians 7     26 I suppose therefore that this is good for the present distress, I say, that it is good for a man so to be.   27  Art thou bound unto a wife? seek not to be loosed. Art thou loosed from a wife? seek not a wife.   28 But and if thou marry, thou hast not sinned; and if a virgin marry, she hath not sinned. Nevertheless such shall have trouble in the flesh: but I spare you.   29 But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none;   30 And they that weep, as though they wept not; and they that rejoice, as though they rejoiced not; and they that buy, as though they possessed not;   31 And they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world passeth away.   32 But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord:   33 But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife.   34 There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.   35 And this I speak for your own profit; not that I may cast a snare upon you, but for that which is comely, and that ye may attend upon the Lord without distraction.   36 But if any man think that he behaveth himself uncomely toward his virgin, if she pass the flower of her age, and need so require, let him do what he will, he sinneth not: let them marry.   37 Nevertheless he that standeth stedfast in his heart, having no necessity, but hath power over his own will, and hath so decreed in his heart that he will keep his virgin, doeth well.   38 So then he that giveth in marriage doeth well; but he that giveth not in marriage doeth better.   ***   Most people will marry and here are very important instructions concerning those who marry.   I Corinthians 7   10-11 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:  But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.   12 But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away.   13 And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.   14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.   15 But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.   16 For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife?   39 The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.   40 But she is happier if she so abide, after my judgment: and I think also that I have the Spirit of God.   ***   When we choose to follow that which is ordained by God for us by following the Spirit in that which is set forth in the New Testament Bible, we greatly bless ourselves and others.   It is good to focus on these scriptures concerning marriage, divorce, remarriage and remaining single.

(This podcast was previously published on March 16, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...    Matthew 7:13-14  Jesus says: Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:   14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.   After I was born again, I asked my best friend, a Baptist:  "And what do we do now?"   She replied:  "Nothing."   I found that to be puzzling.   Revelation 22:14-15   Blessed are they that do HIS commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.   15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.   At church groups, over and over, I would hear people say:  "It is all covered by the blood of Jesus."   It seemed to me that they preached a license to sin.   Revelation 3:5   Jesus says:  He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before MY Father, and before HIS angels.   We overcome the temptation by turning to God after we are born again.   To the woman taken in adultery, Jesus said:  "Go, and sin no more."   Hebrews 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,   II Peter 2:21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.   There are many things taught in church groups which make the individuals feel comfortable but are contrary to the scriptures in the New Testament Bible.   II Timothy 3:16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:  That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.   Jesus says:  I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by ME (by The Word).  John 14:6   We are saved by the blood of Jesus, but after that, we do the commandments of God in the New Testament Bible.  Only by doing "the Word" can we enter into things of God and come to God.

(This podcast was previously published on March 11, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   Romans 12:1-2   I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.   2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.   This world speaks and approves one thing while God speaks exactly the opposite by HIS Word.   By the New Testament Bible, we know that which God approves.   Consider this:  What does the Bible say?   And when we think something, ask yourself:  Where is that in the Bible?   II Timothy 3:16-17  All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:  That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.   As a new Christian, my friend, also a new Christian, and I tried to find in the Bible where it says all men are created equal.   We couldn't find that in the Bible.   So we went to a professor at Dallas Theological Seminary and asked, "Where is it in the Bible where it says all men are created equal?"   He replied, "That's not in the Bible."   We were very shocked!   *****   Sayings of this world:   "You'll never get out of this world alive."   * I Corinthians 15:51-52   Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep (die), but we shall all be changed,  In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.   ***   "Nothing last forever."   * Matthew 24:35  Jesus says:  Heaven and earth shall pass away, but MY words shall not pass away.   ***   Catholic pope said:  " I see no problem with homosexuals."   Bible says:  Romans 1:26-28   For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:   27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.   28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;   ***   I Corinthians 6:9-10   Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God?  Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate  (homosexuals), nor abusers of themselves with mankind,   10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.   ***   Pastor said, "I see no problem with a divorced woman remarrying.  My sister is divorced and remarried."   Bible says:   Matthew 5:32  Jesus says:  But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.   - Man who divorces a faithful wife, will be the cause of that faithful wife's adultery if she remarries.   - Man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.   I Corinthians 7:10-11  And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:  But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.   Romans 7:3   So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.   ***   Proverbs 14:12   There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.   ***   After I was born again, all these problems started.  My best friend said, "Joanie, you shouldn't be having all these problems now that you are a Christian."   II Timothy 3:12   Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.   II Peter 4:12-14   Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:  But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when HIS glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.  If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part HE is evil spoken of, but on your part HE is glorified.   ***   After I was born again, I asked my friend, a Baptist, "What do we do now?"    She replied, "Nothing."   What the Bible says:  Revelation 22:14  Blessed are they that do HIS commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.   ***   Doctrine of "once saved always saved."   Revelation 3:5  Jesus says:  He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before MY Father, and before his angels.   ***   After she was born again, Pam Padgett began trying to find in the Bible doctrines which she had been taught in the Catholic church.   She kept thinking, "I'm sure this must be in the Bible because they taught it in the Catholic church!"   But she found doctrines which she had learned in the Catholic church that were not in the Bible.

(This podcast was previously published on February 17, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   Unless the truth is revealed to us by God, we know nothing.   For centuries people in church groups have "speculated" about antichrist.  But only when God shows us something do we have truth that does not fail.   God began speaking to me about antichrist in 1982.  God used specific scriptures to teach me by HIS Holy Spirit.   II Thessalonians 2:3-4  Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;   4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.   God said to me:   "The falling away are not people leaving the church groups.  The falling away are the churches leaving specific scriptures ... and when that happens, antichrist moves into that church group."   * Antichrist is a spirit that operates inside the church group through ministers and congregations ...  so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.   In the NASB, we see the following:   6-8  And you know what restrains him now, so that he will be revealed in his time. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is removed. 8 Then that lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will eliminate with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming;   (God had called the word "restraint" to my mind in approximately 2017.  I found this scripture in II Thessalonians 2:6  NASB.)   I said to God:  "What restrains him?"   The Holy Spirit said to me:  "The scriptures restrain antichrist and when portion of scriptures are removed, the door opens for antichrist to come into the church group."   I saw immediately:  Jesus is "The Word".  When Jesus, The Word, the holy scriptures are removed in part from the church group, the restraint holding antichrist back is removed and antichrist moves into that church group.   Antichrist tried to move into the churches during the day of the apostle John, but when that church held fast to doctrines of Christ, antichrist left that church group.   I John 2:18-19   Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.   (Not just one antichrist but many antichrists.)   19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.   The terrible fate for those persons in churches who cast aside portions of scripture:   II Thessalonians 2:10-12   And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.   11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:   12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.   *****   Antichrist was already sitting among the elders in the church at Ephesus when Paul warned them as follows:   Acts 20   17 And from Miletus he (Paul) sent to Ephesus, and called the elders of the church.   18 And when they were come to him, he said unto them, Ye know, from the first day that I came into Asia, after what manner I have been with you at all seasons,   19 Serving the Lord with all humility of mind, and with many tears, and temptations, which befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews:   20 And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house,   21 Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.   22 And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there:   23 Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me.   24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.   25 And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.   26 Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men.   27 For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.   28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which HE hath purchased with HIS own blood.   29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.   30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.   The following scripture also shows how concerned Paul was about false doctrines moving into the churches:   (Paul says to Timothy)   I Timothy 1:3   As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,   I Timothy 6:3   If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;   II Timothy 3:16  All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:   Romans 16:17  Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.   They had no New Testament Bibles at the time Paul spoke to the church of Romans but Paul had personally taught them the doctrine of Christ and Paul is warning them to follow that doctrine which they had been taught by him and to avoid the people who went in an opposite way ... opposite to the doctrine of Christ is antichrist.   II Timothy 4:3   For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;   Titus 1:9  (Concerning those appointed as elders in the church)  Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.   (Antichrist was just waiting to rise up speaking perverse doctrines in those churches of Paul's day and he warned them to continue in the "sound doctrine" which he, Paul, had taught them.)   I Timothy 4:16  (Paul speaking to Timothy)    Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.   (Paul had taught them the doctrines of Christ which appear for us later in the New Testament Bible.)   II Timothy 4:2   Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.   Paul speaking to the church:   I Corinthians 4:17  For this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church.   (No New Testament Bibles at that time.)   Paul speaks concerning what they were to do when they gathered as the church:   I Corinthians 14:26  How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.   I Timothy 4:6  If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.   (Timothy learned doctrine from Paul.)   II Timothy 2:2  And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.   And the Holy Spirit teaches each of us and that doctrine will be in agreement with the doctrine which Paul learned from the Holy Spirit of God and taught to the church.   I John 2:27  But the anointing which ye have received of HIM abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in HIM.   ***   And Paul said to the church of the Galatians:   Galatians 1   6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from Him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:   7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.   (We see antichrist was already working among this church group to bring them another doctrine.)   8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.   9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.   10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.   11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.   12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

(This podcast was previously published on February 14, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   My best friend, after I was born again, was a woman who had been raised Baptist.  She married a man whose wife had died.  He was looking for a woman to date at their church group, with the intention of possible marriage.  He picked out two women to date.  And he chose Donna.   At first Donna didn't tell Hal that she was divorced.  Hal fell in love with Donna.   At some point before they married, Donna told Hal she was divorced.  Hal married Donna anyway.   After I met them, I asked Hal, "If you had known Donna was divorced, would you have dated her?"    Hal thought about this and then replied, "No ... I don't believe I would have."   In the days that Hal was a young man, the churches were still teaching that the man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery, as Jesus says in the Bible.   Matthew 5:32  But I (Jesus) say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.   I've been a born again Christian since 1975 and I've never heard Matthew 5:32 taught at any church that I have attended.   Both the Catholic and Protestant churches taught against divorce and remarriage, in most cases, in the 1940's, but this doctrine was changed in many of these churches in the future generations.   Edward, king of England, renounced the throne of England in order to marry a divorced woman in 1936.  The people in the church of England were being taught against marrying a divorced woman.  They would not permit a divorced woman to be queen of England at that time.  Now they have eliminated that scripture in their doctrine in England.   Once a man who identified himself as a pastor came to me to talk about his divorce and his desire to remarry.   I asked him if his wife, whom he divorced, was unfaithful.  He said no.  I told pastor the only scriptural reason for a man to divorce his wife was if she was unfaithful.  If the faithful wife remarries after her husband divorces her, she will commit adultery and the husband who divorced the faithful wife will be the "cause" of her adultery, and the man who marries the divorced woman commits adultery.  (according to Matthew 5:32)   A few weeks later, this pastor called me and asked me if there had been any change in doctrine concerning divorce and remarriage.   I said to this pastor, "So far as I know, the Bible has not been rewritten."   In the Bible, God's rules differ for men and for women.   In this Podcast, I will share these scriptures showing these differences.   The only thing that matters about this is what God says.   *****   Matthew 5:32  Jesus says:  But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.   * A faithful wife who is divorced commits adultery if she remarries while her husband lives.   * The husband who divorced a faithful wife will be the cause of her adultery if she remarries.   * The man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.   ***   I Corinthians 7:10-11  And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:  But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.   I Corinthians 7:39  The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.   ***   Mark 10   2 And the Pharisees came to HIM (to Jesus), and asked HIM, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting HIM.   3 And HE answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you?   4 And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away.   5 And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.   6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.   7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;   8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.   9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.   10 And in the house HIS disciples asked HIM again of the same matter.   11 And HE saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.   12 And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.   *** Romans 7   1 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?   2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.   3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.   (We do not go by the Law of Moses in the New Testament church, where animals were sacrificed for sins, but we do go by the laws of God as presented in the New Testament Bible.)   ***   I Corinthians 6  (at the time of sexual intercourse, the two become one flesh)   15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.   16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith HE, shall be one flesh.   17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.   18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.   (Even if you have sex with a prostitute, the two become one flesh.

(This podcast was previously published on January 31, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   To attribute the works of God and the Holy Spirit to being works of the devil would be blasphemy against the Holy Ghost.   Jesus said:  Matthew 12:31-32  All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.   And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.   As a new Christian in 1975, I went to the church my best friend and her husband attended.  The pastors of that church group were professors at Dallas Theological Seminary.   When I began attending this church, Believer's Chapel, the head pastor was teaching a seminar on the subject, "Tongues are of the devil."   One day, I was reading the Bible and saw the following:   The apostle Paul said, Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.   (1 Corinthians 14:39)   But at Believer's Chapel the pastor was teaching tongues to be of the devil.   The church I was attending at that time was teaching something exactly opposite to that which I was reading in the Bible!   I never went back to that church group.   I believe this pastor was committing blasphemy against the Holy Ghost.   A Baptist woman told me this story:  She went into her neighborhood grocery and saw a young man and she said to the grocer, "Who is that?"  He told her the name of the young man.  She said, "I'm going to marry him."  They did marry and they were married approximately 60-years until Jerry died.   I thought this was such a wonderful story and I said to my friend, "OH, that was a word of knowledge from God!"   My friend seemed frightened while I rejoiced.   I suspect she had been taught at her church group against the spiritual gifts of God.  (I Corinthians 12, Romans 12, I Peter 4:11)   Some churches teach against the gifts of the Holy Spirit.   On this podcast, I will give examples of some of the great works done in the church by the Holy Spirit and some of the blasphemy against God and the Holy Spirit as presented in the Bible.   *****   The gifts of the Holy Spirit:   I Corinthians 12   1 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.   2 Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.   3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.   4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.   5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.   6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.   7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.   8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;   9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;   10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:   11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as HE (God) will. ***   Romans 12   5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.   6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;   7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;   8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.   ***   I Peter 4:11   If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.   ***   At the end of the great tribulation, we read this:   Revelation 16:21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.   (I suspect this form of blasphemy was cursing God.)   ***   After the crucifixion and resurrection, Jesus set up the New Testament church from heaven by HIS Spirit.   We are born again by the Holy Spirit of God convincing us of our sin.   In 1975 the Holy Spirit spoke to me by bringing the following thought to my mind:  "Joan, you know those mistakes you've been making all these years?  Those weren't mistakes.  Those were sins."   I was born again with that Word!   ***   My neighbor told me he had hated his stepmother all his life.  One day he went out on his porch and all of a sudden all that hatred was gone.  It was a miracle!  He no longer hated her.  He said "something" told him all this hatred he had carried against her was no good.  (Holy Spirit)   ***   Jesus said:   John 14:16   But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.   John 16:13  Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear, that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.   ***   And the Holy Spirit searches the heart of God to reveal to us the will of God in the specific issues of this life.   I Corinthians 2:9-14   But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love HIM.   10 But God hath revealed them unto us by HIS Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.   11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.   12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.   13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.   14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.   ***   Jesus, from heaven, sets HIS ministers into the New Testament church:   Ephesians 4:11-12   After Jesus arose into heaven, HE (Jesus) gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;  For the perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:   Acts 26  Paul tells king Agrippa what happened to him on the road to Damascus:   I heard a voice (from heaven) speaking to me in the Hebrew tongue. 15 I am Jesus whom thou persecutest. 16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;   Jesus speaks today to those ministers whom HE has called by HIS Holy Spirit and instructs us by HIS Spirit.   ***   Jesus speaks directly to us today from heaven by HIS Spirit:   Hebrews 1:1-2  God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,  Hath in these last days spoken unto us by HIS Son, whom HE hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also HE made the worlds;   In the Old Testament the people of God were not given the Holy Spirit of God and they had to go to a prophet of God to find out what God wanted them to do.   But in the New Testament church, all believers are given the Holy Spirit of God and that Spirit of God lives in each believer to show him the will of God by bringing scripture, thoughts, ideas to the mind of the believer.  (I Corinthians 3:16; I Corinthians 6:19; II Corinthians 13:5)   ***   We are born again by the Holy Spirit of Jesus when HE (Jesus) speaks to us from heaven:   John 3:3, 5-6  Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.   4 Nicodemus saith unto HIM, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?   5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.   6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.   Acts 1:8  Jesus said:   But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto ME both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.   ***   In 1975, the Holy Spirit spoke to me by bringing the following to my mind:  "Joan, you know all those mistakes you've been making all these years?  Those weren't mistakes.  Those were sins."   I was very shocked!   I thought I was a Christian.  I had gone forward at Church of Christ and had been baptized in water.  But at that time I didn't know of my sins.  I just didn't want to go to hell.   I was 37 when the Holy Spirit revealed sin to me and I certainly was in agreement, and I was born again by agreeing with the Holy Spirit and I was instantly changed.   II Corinthians 5:17   Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.   My mother was born again when I read Deuteronomy 18:9-13 aloud to her.  She had always love horoscopes and we had gone to town monthly where my mother bought the latest horoscope magazine which she read to me daily when I was a child.   After I read Deuteronomy 18 to her, she was very quiet for a few minutes, then she said:  "Well ... I guess we'd better not do that any more."   She was born again instantly as she turned from evil and agreed with the Word of God.   (The Holy Spirit was there to convince her of her sin.)   The apostle Paul was born again as Jesus spoke to HIM from heaven.   Acts 9   1  And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,   2 And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.   3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:   4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou ME?   5 And HE said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.   6 And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.   The Holy Spirit speaks to us to reveal Jesus to us and we are born again by that Word delivered to us by Jesus's spirit. ***   Jesus sets HIS ministers into HIS church today as HE calls from heaven by HIS Holy Spirit to those ministers who are called as apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers:   Acts 26, Paul speaks to king Agrippa:   20 Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Thou art permitted to speak for thyself.   Then Paul stretched forth the hand, and answered for himself:   2  I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews:   3 Especially because I know thee to be expert in all customs and questions which are among the Jews: wherefore I beseech thee to hear me patiently.   4 My manner of life from my youth, which was at the first among mine own nation at Jerusalem, know all the Jews;   5 Which knew me from the beginning, if they would testify, that after the most straitest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee.   6 And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of God unto our fathers:   7 Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come. For which hope's sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews.   8 Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that God should raise the dead?   9 I verily thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.   10 Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of the saints did I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I gave my voice against them.   11 And I punished them oft in every synagogue, and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even unto strange cities.   12 Whereupon as I went to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests,   13 At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me.   14 And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou ME? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.   15 And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And HE said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.   16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;   17 Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,   18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in ME.   19  Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:    ***   Ephesians 4:11-13 And HE (Jesus) gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;  For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:  Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:   ***   The New Testament Bible is given by Jesus from heaven by the Holy Spirit after the crucifixion and resurrection:   And the New Testament Bible was given to the church from heaven as apostles were inspired by God to speak and write the books of the New Testament.   II Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:   The early church had no New Testament Bible.  The apostles wrote on "parchments" and sent these letters to the churches in various cities and countries, and these epistles are in the New Testament Bible as the instructions from God came to them and they sent these "epistles" (letters) to be circulated among the various churches in their areas.   Colossians 4:16  And when this epistle is read among you, cause that it be read also in the church of the Laodiceans; and that ye likewise read the epistle from Laodicea.   So they passed these epistles, which we know today in the New Testament Bible, from church to church.   These writings were inspired by God by HIS Spirit just as God inspires us today to write the blog and to record the words presented on Podcasts.   ***   To deny the Spirit of God when HE speaks is death.   Jude   3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.   4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.   5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.   17  But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;   18 How that they told you there should be mockers (copiers/imitators) in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.   19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.

and that ye likewise read the epistle from Laodicea.   So they passed these epistles, which we know today in the New Testament Bible, from church to church.   These writings were inspired by God just as God inspires us today to write the blog and to record the words presented on Podcasts.   Man does not appoint himself as a minister to the church.   All ministers (apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers) are called by Jesus from heaven and are lead by the Spirit of God in that which they speak to the church.   *****   In my life, the call of God came to me as God chose to transport me into heaven in the night as I was sleeping.   (This happened twice on two different nights as I slept)   I was "transported" into heaven in approximately 1975.   I was with God and Christ and the Holy Spirit.  (I saw no physical images.  It was a spiritual experience)  At that time I was "merged" into the body of Jesus, made one with the Word of God as God and the Holy Spirit witnessed.   The second time this happened was about two days after the first.   I didn't know what this meant.  I thought it happened to all persons who were born again.  Later I came to realize it did not happen to every member of the body of Christ.   I believe it was at this time, I was set into the ministry in the two offices appointed by Jesus:  apostle & prophet   For the next 4 years God taught me spiritual things from the Bible by HIS Spirit.   I was born again in 1975.  God put me on radio to exhort the church starting in January, 1980.    In between these years of 1975 and January, 1980, God was teaching me from the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, by HIS Spirit.   On the night of January 10, 1980, I was asleep in the night.  A very loud trumpet like voice spoke 3 words in my ear:  "Hartford, Seattle, KWJS"   KWJS was a radio station.   God told me to call the station manager.  I sent audition tape and was broadcasting exhortation to the church within 5 days.   By the end of the next year, I was on radio from "Hartford" to "Seattle".   Ministers are called by Jesus from heaven and set in the church today to do the work of the ministry.   Jesus communicates with me directly by the following:  thoughts brought by HIS Spirit, dreams, scriptures,   I Corinthians 12:4-6  Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.   And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.  And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.   God calls HIS ministers and teaches them in various ways, but there is always a "call of God" on the life of that minister who is appointed by Jesus for the NT church.   But some ministers put themselves into the ministry by going to Bible college without having the call of God and these are "false teachers."   II Peter 2   1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.   2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.   3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.   ***   Jude   3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.   4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.   They deny Jesus Christ by denying certain scriptures and by setting up another Jesus, another doctrine in the churches.   12-13  These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;   13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.   16  These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.   17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;   18 How that they told you there should be mockers (imitators/copiers) in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.   19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. ***   Jesus says:   Matthew 24   4 Take heed that no man deceive you.   5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

(This podcast was previously published on January 28, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   At no place in the Bible does God mention the sin of child abuse.  Why?  I believe this is because all humans know this is evil.  I believe the Holy Spirit put it in all humans that child abuse is a great evil.  Thus if we resist the Holy Spirit it would be an unpardonable sin, a sin against the Holy Spirit.  I believe this is what we see in child abuse in the Catholic church, an unpardonable sin among those men they call "priests".   Matthew 12:31  Jesus says:  Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.   One thing I do know, we must judge the church (not the world).  I Corinthians 5:11   The people in the churches often want to judge the world but the apostle Paul explains this to us in I Corinthians 5 that we must judge the church.   11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.  For what have I to do to judge them also that are without (without the church)? do not ye judge them that are within? (You are to judge within, within the church) But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.   Are there different levels of sin?  Yes.  Look at the following scriptures:   I Corinthians 6:18   Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.   Matthew 23:14  Jesus says  Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.   How can any group calling itself a church try to cover up child abuse?   And why is child abuse so rampant in the Catholic church?   They set up a rule forbidding their "priests" to marry, but that rule is opposite from the rules concerning ministers as spoken by the apostle Paul in the Bible.  By doing this the Catholics set up a natural haven for perverts.   If our foundation is anything but the Bible, we set ourselves up for a great fall.   *****   Matthew 7  Jesus says:   24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:   25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.   26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:   27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.   ***   The example we have in the New Testament Bible is the following:  The apostle Peter was married and had children.   Matthew 8:14-15   And when Jesus was come into Peter's house, HE saw his (Peter's) wife's mother laid, and sick of a fever.  And HE (Jesus) touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them.   So we know the apostle Peter had a wife.   Peter also had multiple children for in the Bible Peter tells us he is an elder (also called bishop).   Here is a requirement for an elder (bishop) in the church.   Titus 1:6-9   If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly.  For a bishop (elder) must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;  But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate;  Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.   Whoever set up the Catholic church, said their ministers could not marry.   By doing this they violated the Holy Scriptures of the New Testament for the church and by doing this set up a type of haven for perverts among their ministers.   For many decades Catholic priests have abused children and other Catholic hierarchy have covered up for these child abusers in their church, often transferring these abominable child abusers to another city and another Catholic church.   And there is no such thing as a "priest" as a minister in the New Testament church.  Jesus set up ministers as follows:   Ephesians 4:11-12   And HE (Jesus) gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;  For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:   If you change any part of the New Testament Bible, you bring upon yourselves damnation.

(This podcast was previously published on January 13, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   As the children of Israel were rebellious against the Word of God, the New Testament church today rebels against specific scriptures which conflicts with that which they have learned at their churches.   But God today sends HIS prophets to the church ministers and individuals, though they often harden their hearts today to that word of God that is carried to them and continue in their own preferences.   Ezekiel 2:3-8   And HE (God) said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that hath rebelled against ME: they and their fathers have transgressed against ME, even unto this very day.   4 For they are impudent children and stiffhearted. I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD.   5 And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them.   6 And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.   7 And thou shalt speak MY words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious.   8 But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee.   *****   After Jesus ascends into heaven, HE sets up the New Testament church.   Ephesians 4   8 ... When HE ascended up on high, HE led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.   11-12   And HE gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;   12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:   ***   God taught me the following concerning the work of apostle and prophet to which I am called and set in the New Testament church today.   * apostle:  God took me to Acts 15 to show me the basic work of an apostle.   A question concerning "doctrine" arose in the church.  "Do the Gentile believers have to be circumcised?"  The elders and apostles met at Jerusalem to discuss this matter and to make a ruling for the other churches to follow.   Peter spoke.  Paul spoke.  James heard what they said and then he pronounced the ruling concerning the Gentiles.   They wrote this ruling and sent it to the other churches in writing.  (There was no NT Bible in those days of the early church.)   Today we have the New Testament Bible which the early church did not have.   Basically what God showed me is this:  apostles are ordained by God in dealing with church doctrines.   Churches today fall away from New Testament Bible rulings and we try to turn individuals back to what the Bible says.    ***   * prophet:  In the New Testament Bible we have these examples of the work of a New Testament prophet.   Agabus: Acts 11:27-30   And in these days came prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch.   28 And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the Spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the world: which came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar.   29 Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judaea:   30 Which also they did, and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.   ***   Acts 21:7-11  And when we had finished our course from Tyre, we came to Ptolemais, and saluted the brethren, and abode with them one day.  8 And the next day we that were of Paul's company departed, and came unto Caesarea: and we entered into the house of Philip the evangelist, which was one of the seven; and abode with him. 9 And the same man had four daughters, virgins, which did prophesy.   10 And as we tarried there many days, there came down from Judaea a certain prophet, named Agabus.  11 And when he was come unto us, he took Paul's girdle, and bound his own hands and feet, and said, Thus saith the Holy Ghost, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.   ***   Other New Testament prophets cited in the New Testament Bible:   Acts 13:1   Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.   Acts 15:31   And Judas and Silas, being prophets also themselves, exhorted the brethren with many words, and confirmed them.   I Corinthians 12:28  And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.   I Corinthians 14:29  (Paul says concerning the gathering of the New Testament Church)   Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.   ***   Throughout the Bible, we see many examples of God using prophets to carry messages of correction and instruction to the church.  Prophets of God are not sent to the world but to the church.   Ezekiel 3:4-7 And HE (God) said unto me, Son of man, go, get thee unto the house of Israel, and speak with MY words unto them.   5 For thou art not sent to a people of a strange speech and of an hard language, but to the house of Israel;   6 Not to many people of a strange speech and of an hard language, whose words thou canst not understand. Surely, had I sent thee to them, they would have hearkened unto thee.   7 But the house of Israel will not hearken unto thee; for they will not hearken unto ME: for all the house of Israel are impudent and hardhearted.   ***   Matthew 23   Jesus says:   37  O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!   38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.   39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see ME henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.   ***   Matthew 23:29-35   Jesus says:   29  Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,   30 And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.   31 Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.   32 Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.   33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?   34 Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:   35 That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.

(This podcast was previously published on January 2, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   Paul told the elders at Ephesus that he knew that "after his departing", many of the elders among themselves would arise "speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them." (Acts 20:30)   The apostle John told the church group there were already "many antichrist" who had come among their church group.   I John 2:18-19   Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.  They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.   Some of them went out and started other church groups, and preached "another doctrine".   Hereby all these denominations began.  And many other denominations came later through the centuries, between the early church set up by Jesus from heaven at the time Jesus was taken into heaven, until now in the time where we live.   But we have only one doctrine and that is the doctrine of the New Testament Bible by the Holy Spirit of God.   And we have one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God.   But there are many church denominations and many diverse doctrines in these groups.   How do we know the truth?   We read the New Testament Bible and when we are of God, HE opens our eyes to see the truth and the doctrines of Christ.   II Timothy 3:16-17    All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:  That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.   When we see a church teaching something opposite to the doctrine of Christ which we read the in Bible we leave that church group, knowing it is "antichrist" opposite to the doctrine of Christ, the Word.   *****   Shortly after I was born again in 1975, I attended a church group with my best friend and her husband.  The pastors were professors from Dallas Theological Seminary.   The pastor was teaching "tongues" were of the devil.   But one day I was reading I Corinthians 14 and saw the following scripture in the Bible:   I Corinthians 14:39   Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.   That church I had been attending was teaching something exactly opposite from that which Paul said in the New Testament Holy Bible.   I chose Bible and never went back again to that church group.   ***   In looking for a church to attend, I went to a small non-denomination church group.   Pastor was teaching.   That night he took us to John 8 where the woman who was taken in adultery was brought before Jesus.  Pastor said when the woman was brought before Jesus she was naked from the waist up.   I was very shocked!  I'd never seen that before in John 8.  I grabbed my Bible and began reading John 8.  That which pastor said was not in John 8.  I looked about the room to see if others were reading Bible.  I didn't see anyone reading the Bible.  I saw men sitting with very big grins on their faces.  I knew they were picturing this naked woman.   The next day, I called the pastor.  I told him I had been in his service the night before when he spoke of John 8 and he said that woman taken in adultery was naked from waist up.  I told him I could not find that in the Bible.  I asked him where it was in Bible.   Pastor was very silent.   Then pastor said, "I can't remember where it is in the Bible."   I told pastor that it was very important to me to know where it was in the Bible and I asked him to please look it up and tell his secretary where it says that and have her call me and tell me.   Pastor became very silent.  And then pastor became very angry and shouted into phone:  "All right!  It's not in the Bible.  Where do you go to church?"   I was hunting a church to attend, but I couldn't go to a church where pastor taught things not in the Bible as he was doing.   2 Corinthians 2:17   For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.   ***   Then I went to another non-denominational church.   Pastor was teaching concerning Abraham and Sarah.   Pastor said:  "Sarah and Hagar were 1/2 sisters."   I'd never read that before (or even heard anyone say that before).   I went home and read my Bible.   I could find no scripture which stated that Sarah and Hagar were 1/2 sisters.   So I called and spoke to the pastor, asking him where that is in the Bible.   Pastor said:  "I can't recall where it is in the Bible."   I asked pastor to please look it up and tell his secretary and have her call me and tell me where it is in the Bible.   Amazingly this pastor said exactly the same thing as that previous pastor.   He became angry and shouted into phone:  "All right ... it's not in the Bible."   Neither pastor showed any shame at all for teaching things at church which were not in the Bible.   ***   Approximately 15 years later, in 2017, God explained what was happening in churches when pastors taught things not in Bible, and they did not repent from doing this and were not ashamed of the way they mishandled the Word of God.   "These pastors are antichrist."   These pastors teach things not in Bible and their congregations accept things not in Bible, this is the falling away, anarchy which had to come into the churches before Jesus could return.   Then I understood.   2 Thessalonians 2:3-4   Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day (of the Lord) shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;   4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.   God said to me:  "The falling away are not people leaving the church group.  The falling away are the church groups falling away from the scriptures."   And God said to me the word "restraint".   I knew this was in a scripture and I found it in the following:   2 Thessalonians 2, NASB   6 And you know what restrains him now, so that he will be revealed in his time. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is removed. 8 Then that lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will eliminate with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming;   I said to God, "What is the restraint?  Who restrains antichrist?"   Immediately God opened my eyes to see.   The restraint was Jesus, The Word of God, the Holy Scriptures.   As soon as the scriptures were removed at the church group, antichrist came into that church group speaking doctrines that are opposite to the New Testament Bible and adding to the Bible.   Now I understood why those pastors who had perverted the Bible did not feel shame nor repent.  They were antichrist.   Since this time, I have encountered many antichrist in those many men who write emails to me from all over the world and say they are pastors.  I have seen many antichrists who attend churches.   Antichrist is not one man as many churches have taught in the past.   Antichrist is a spirit in many men and women in religious groups.   Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.  (2 Thessalonians 2:4)

(This podcast was previously recorded and published on December 23, 2020)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   Revelation16:1-2 And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.   2 And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome (smelly) and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.   Many doctrines in churches today are doctrines of men and not doctrines of God.  As churches follow the doctrines of men, the people of those churches take on the mark of the beast, worshiping something that is not God.  Upon these people comes the wrath of God.   Plagues of blood to follow:   Revelation 16:3-4  And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea.   4 And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood.   And the angels in heaven rejoiced saying:   5-6  And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus.  For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and Thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.   7 And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are THY judgments.   But the men of this world who have taken on the mark of the beast curse God over these plagues and they repent not of their works.   The fourth angel of the 7 angels, brings a plague that affects men greatly.   *****   Revelation 16   8-9  And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.  And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give HIM glory.   10-11  And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,  And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.   12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.  And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.  For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.   15 (Jesus says) Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.   We will not be ashamed in the day of the Lord when we follow the instructions given by the New Testament Bible, for by these we correct our way on this earth and come into agreement with God and HIS Word, Jesus.   But those in churches who agree with antichrist and follow his doctrines will be ashamed when Jesus returns for His righteous.   Correct yourselves now by the New Testament Bible and follow the doctrines of the Bible and turn from the antichrist doctrines being taught by man, and agree with God, while there is still time.   Revelation 16   17-21  And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.   18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.   19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of HIS wrath.   20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.   21  And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

(This podcast was previously recorded and published on December 25, 2020)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   The word, "Rapture", is used in many churches to describe the church being removed from this present earth and taken into heaven.   The first time I ever heard this word, "Rapture" used at church, I was very shocked.   I checked New Testament Bible and found this word, "Rapture", is not in the Bible.  It is a word that was made up by man.   I never use this word to describe the church being taken into heaven.   The following scriptures wonderfully tell us what will happen:   I Thessalonians 4:13-17 ... The dead in Christ rise first.   13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep (dead), that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.   14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with HIM.   15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent (precede) them which are asleep (dead).   16 For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:   17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.   ("In the air" is very important for it shows us Jesus' kingdom will not be on the present earth.  After we are removed from this earth, God will destroy this heaven and earth by fire.  We will be in our new spiritual bodies and will be taken to the New Heaven and the New Earth wherein dwelleth righteousness.)   I Corinthians 15:48-52  ... We are changed into new spiritual bodies.   48  As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.   49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.   (On this earth we have the physical form resembling our parents.  In heaven we will have the form of God and Jesus which is a spiritual form.)   50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.   51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep (die), but we shall all be changed,   52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.   ***** An artist depicted the rising of the church but this artist showed individuals rising out of their autos in their present physical bodies.  This will not happen.  First those on the earth at the time Jesus returns will be changed into the spiritual bodies.  This physical body does not rise for it is corruptible, subject to physical disease and pain and emotions which are hurtful.  In heaven, there will be no pain, nor sorrow, nor death ... thus in heaven there will be no physical type body as we know the body today.   ***   Revelation 21:1-5  ...  We are taken to the new heaven and the new earth.   1  And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.   2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.   3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and HE will dwell with them, and they shall be HIS people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.   4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.   5 And HE that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.   ***   II Peter 3:10-14  ... This earth is destroyed by God.   10  But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.   11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,   12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?   13 Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.   14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.

(This podcast was previously recorded and published on December 21, 2020)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...    It is important to read New Testament Bible and to keep scriptures of what God says before us so we will not drift away from God's laws with the thinking of humans and be turned over by God to a reprobate mind.   Romans 1:28  And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;   II Corinthians 13:5  Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?   The only thing important is:  What does God say?   By the New Testament Bible, we set our thinking to match God's view.   ***   Consider this:   I Corinthians 7:39   The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.   In churches, people are often told, "We don't go by the law in the New Testament church."    We don't go by the law of Moses concerning sacrifice of animals for sins, but we still go by the New Testament laws of God as the New Testament church.   Romans 7:1-3  Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?  For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.  So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.   I Corinthians 7:10-11  And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:  But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.   Matthew 5:32  But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.   (If a husband divorces a faithful wife and she remarries, she will commit adultery but her husband who divorced her will be the cause of her adultery.  And the man who marries this divorced woman commits adultery.)   Mark 10   2 And the Pharisees came to HIM (to Jesus), and asked HIM, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting HIM.   3 And HE answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you?   4 And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away.   5 And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.   6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.   7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;   8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.   9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.   10 And in the house HIS disciples asked HIM again of the same matter.   11 And HE saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.   12 And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.   At the marriage ceremony, most couples vow that marriage is "till death do them part."  That is certainly what God teaches.   ***   In the Bible, the apostle Paul shows us how the two become one flesh.   I Corinthians 6:15-16  Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.  What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith HE, shall be one flesh.   (Even if a man has sex with a prostitute, the two become one flesh.)   How do you separate one flesh?   You can't explain it away by divorce papers from a civil court.   Therefore God says:  Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.  (I Corinthians 6:18)   Sexual sins are different from all other sins.   ***   Concerning homosexuals and lesbians:   Romans 1:25-27   Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.   26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:   27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

(This podcast was previously recorded and published on December 19, 2020)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   If we confess in our hearts that Jesus is Lord, then Jesus, The Word, rules over us and we obey the scriptures and see the Word as Lord.   Romans 10:9-11  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on HIM (The Word) shall not be ashamed.   Jesus said many would come saying He is the Christ and they would deceive many.   These are those who confess with their mouth but do not believe the Word in their hearts.  They believe something other than the scripture of the New Testament Bible and therefore they do something other than the instruction given by scripture.   Matthew 24:4-5  And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.   They say Jesus is Lord and they say they are Christians, but they do not believe all the scriptures, such as:   * The man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.  Matthew 5:32   * If a woman leaves her husband let her remain "unmarried" or be reconciled with her husband.  I Corinthians 7:10-11   * Homosexuals and lesbians have been turned over by God to do "vile affections."  Romans 1:26-27   Some will believe some scripture but not all of these scriptures because of their personal preferences.   One person might believe homosexuals are wrong but might believe it is permissible for a man to marry a divorced woman.   We who are of God are rebuilt by God to believe all the scriptures not just some scripture.   Thereby we have the Spirit of Truth in us and are led by the Spirit of Truth.   Flesh cannot understand things of God with the natural mind.  Only when the Spirit of Truth, the Holy Spirit, lives in us can we understand things of God.   I Corinthians 2:14   But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.   John said there were already many antichrist in the church in his day.  (I John 2:18)   Paul said to the elders at Ephesus that he knew there were men among them who were just waiting for him to depart so they could bring "perverse" things into the church.  (Acts 20:30)   After Jesus was taken into heaven, antichrist could set up various denominations and teach what he wanted to teach in the churches, things opposite to the doctrines of Christ in the Bible.   II Thessalonians 2:4  Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.The falling away from scripture was sitting there among those elders in the church at Ephesus as the apostle Paul warned, recorded for us in Acts 20.   And the falling away from the doctrines of the scriptures has been taking place in church groups for 2000 years before the eyes of those who can see.   And today the churches have grown closer and closer to this world through the changing of doctrines from the instruction of the New Testament Bible in order to draw men to themselves just as Paul said in Acts 20.   28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which HE hath purchased with His own blood.   29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.   30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.   Thus setting up their own denominations, dividing the church of Jesus Christ.   But the falling away began from the time Jesus was resurrected and the true doctrine was given to the men of God which became the New Testament for us where all scripture is inspired by God.  (II Timothy 3:16)

(This podcast was previously recorded and published on November 15, 2020)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   What do we do? as we continue to live on this present earth.   I go by these instructions which Paul gave to Timothy in the New Testament Bible:   I Timothy 4   13 Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.   14 Neglect not the gift that is in thee  ... (the spiritual gift which God has given us for the church)   15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.   16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.   *****   * to reading:   The New Testament Bible is filled with letters which the apostle Paul wrote to the church.   I've been re-reading these epistles in a single setting.  Such as reading the entire letter to the Romans.   Then I read the next day the entire first letter to the Corinthians ... then the second letter to the Corinthians ... then the following days, reading the letters: Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, etc.   I also focus on some of the meditation scriptures which I have accumulated for these build me up in the faith in God and help me to stay focused.   I read our blog daily:  Jesus Ministries Exhortations    In my bathroom, I keep one of the ministry books that we have published on Amazon.  (see Joan Boney)   These books are filled with scripture.  I use paperback book for bathroom.  You can start anywhere in any one of the books and be edified in things of God with many scriptures.  I find re-reading these books helpful to me.   Often as I am reading, God will catch my attention on a subject for me to write that subject.  For example, when I began reading I Corinthians 1:1-2  Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother, 2 Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:  God got my attention on how we are all called to be saints.   I thought of how the Catholic church appoints certain dead men and women as "saints" and how they teach their people that these dead "saints" have certain powers to help them, which is abominable doctrine for they teach their people to trust in corpses rather than to trust in the living God.   I was stirred up by the Holy Spirit to write an exhortation to the church concerning the subject of "saints" according to the Bible meaning.   ***   * to exhortation:   To exhort means to urge earnestly by advice and warning.  We are to exhort one another in the faith in God and the Word of God.  For the days are certainly evil and many evil concepts are spoken by humans on TV and in person.   I Timothy 4:7-8   But refuse profane (secular sayings) and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.  8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.   A Catholic woman often visited me at my previous home in Texas.  She spoke many "profane" sayings which were not in the Bible.  I would just look at her and tell her I lived by the Bible and what she just said was not in the Bible.  This is the way I "rejected" her profane sayings.   When you do this, they will usually depart from you and choose not to keep company with you any more.   ***   *  to doctrine:   Doctrine is critical for us.  Doctrine are the rules of God from the New Testament church.  We live by doctrines, such as:   * The man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery. (Matthew 5:32)   * Flee fornication:  Every sin that a man doeth is without the body but he who committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.  (I Corinthians 6)   * And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.  (I Corinthians 7:10-11)   *  For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.   And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;  (Romans 1:26-28)   * Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. (I Corinthians 6:9-10)   * For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,  But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?  (Hebrews 10:26-29)   * For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put Him to an open shame.  (Hebrews 6:4-6)   * For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.  For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.  But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.  (II Peter 2:20-22)   It is critical for us to keep reading these doctrines of Christ for this world and the churches today teach something very different from the New Testament Bible.   ***   So I have set myself daily to do that which Paul said to do:  "Give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine."   I believe doing this gives me a better opportunity to endure to the end of my time on this earth.   Jesus says:   Matthew 24:12-13   And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

(This podcast was previously recorded and published on November 10, 2020)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   In the New Testament Bible in Romans 1:26, God calls homosexual and lesbian acts "vile affections." In the Old Testament, when a king of the children of Israel removed the Sodomites from the city, that king was said to be a king who did right in the sight of God. (I Kings 22:43-46)   God sent 2 angels to Sodom to destroy the city and all the people except for Lot and his wife and two daughters.   When homosexuals came from every quarter of Sodom to have sex with the two angels, Lot said to the men of Sodom,   "I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly."  (Genesis 19:7)   The homosexual acts of the men of Sodom were known to be wicked.   And these men of Sodom did not try to hide their homosexual preferences, but they were openly known to be homosexuals, and their wickedness reached God, and God sent the angels to destroy these men and to destroy Sodom and all the people in Sodom.   The angel explained to Lot:   Genesis 19:12-13   And the men (the angels) said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place:   13 For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the LORD; and the LORD hath sent us to destroy it.   When the sins become open before all, then the cry "of them" as they flaunt their sin waxes great before God and God deals with their open sins.   Isaiah 3:9   The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves.   The time of judgment is upon this world.   The Catholic pope announced to the world on October 21, 2020, that same sex marriages would be approved in Catholic church when they were performed in civil ceremonies.   The Catholic pope condemns himself and his followers to eternal hell by his approval of sins against God.   And such also is the case of protestant preachers who approve sins of the Bible in their church groups.   II Thessalonians 2:10-12  And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.  And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:  That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.   *****   Revelation 22   Jesus says:   11 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.   13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.   14 Blessed are they that do HIS commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.   15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.   ***   Romans 1   22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,   23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.   24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:   25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.   26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:   27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.   28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;   ***   They would not repent ... or could not repent:   II Peter 3   8  But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.   9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.   10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.   Revelation 2:21  And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.   Revelation 9:20  And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:   Revelation 16:9   And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give Him glory.   Revelation 16:11  And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds. ***   Deuteronomy 23:17  There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel.

(This podcast was previously recorded and published on November 11, 2020)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   A woman in our church group was divorced and went to a pastor to see if she could remarry after divorce.    The pastor told her:  "My sister divorced and remarried.  I don't see anything wrong with that."   A few years ago, the Catholic pope made a televised statement that he didn't see anything wrong about homosexuals.   Neither of these men read the Bible.   So this divorced woman remarried.   A few years later this woman was born again and began reading the Bible.  When I met her and she told me this story, she was really angry at that pastor who told her she could remarry.  By the scriptures she saw she committed adultery when she remarried.   The vast majority of churches today present a freedom to sin by telling the divorced woman she can remarry after divorce.  They ignore what the Bible says and set up another doctrine.  They present to their church groups "another Jesus", another word.   There are several scriptures on this subject of divorce/remarriage and they all agree:   *****   I Corinthians 7:39 The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.   ***   Romans 7:1-3   1 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?   2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.   3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.   This scripture is "inspired by God", as are all scriptures.   Paul wrote this to the New Testament Church as a "law of God" for the women.   Yet churches today explained this scripture away by saying we are not under the law in the church today.   This foolishness in handling scripture is despicable and damning to the church.  There are many "laws of God" in the New Testament Bible including this law in Romans 7.  If you eliminate this concerning the woman being under the law (rule) of her husband, you have to remove most of the New Testament Bible and even some of the Old Testament for God said:  Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.  (Gen. 3:19)   We are not under the Old Testament laws of God concerning sacrifice for sins for Jesus is our sacrifice for sins but that is not the same subject as remarriage after divorce.   Romans 7:1-3 is a valid rule for women in the New Testament church.  And when we consider the following scriptures on this subject, notice they agree with Romans 7.   ***   Paul said the following is the commandment for the Lord in the New Testament Church:   I Corinthians 7:10-11   And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.   ***   Mark 10:6-9  Jesus says:  But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.   11 And HE saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.   12 And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.   ***    Here is one of the most misused scriptures of all twisted teachings in today's church.   Matthew 5:32  Jesus says, in speaking to the men of the church:  But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.   * If a man divorces a "faithful wife", and that faithful wife remarries, she will commit adultery but her husband will be the cause of her adultery.   * The man who marries the divorced woman commits adultery.   But churches are twisting this scripture and teaching the following:  "If a husband is committing fornication, the wife can divorce that husband and remarry."   This is not correct:  The scripture says if the wife is faithful and her husband divorces her and she remarries she will commit adultery. But her husband will be the cause of her adultery upon her remarriage after divorce.  And the man who marries the divorced woman commits adultery.   ***   If the divorced woman remarries she commits adultery according to the Bible.   Matthew 19   3 The Pharisees also came unto HIM (to Jesus), tempting HIM, and saying unto HIM, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?   4 And HE (Jesus) answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,   5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?   6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.   Paul explains that at the time of sexual intercourse, the two become one flesh:  Even if a man has sex with a prostitute they become "one flesh".   I Corinthians 6:15-16  Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid. What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith HE, shall be one flesh.   ***   Matthew 19:7-9  They say unto HIM, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away?   8 HE (Jesus) saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.   9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.   If the wife is unfaithful, the husband can divorce that unfaithful wife and remarry.   But the same is not true for the wife with an unfaithful husband because Paul said in I Corinthians 7:10-11, this is the commandment of the Lord for the woman in the New Testament church.  And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:  But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.   ***   So if you are a divorced woman, according to Bible, you are to remain unmarried or return to your husband.   If the woman's husband is dead, she is free to remarry but only in the Lord.   I Corinthians 7:39  The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.   ***   These scriptures are "freedom from sin" to those who follow these instructions.   A woman called me once wanting to discuss with me her mother's second marriage.   God said to me:  "Just focus on the scriptures and what they say."

For the past 14 years, Dr. Mabus served as a Navy Chaplain, sharing the gospel and caring for people in the context of military life. He also has professional interests in spiritual formation and discipleship, reformation practices in pastoral care and discipleship, suicide prevention and intervention, and leadership advisement and coaching. Then, we were joined by Kelli Worrall to discuss the significance of communication in the Bible. Kelli is a Professor of Communications at MBI and the Field Chair for the Music and Media Arts Division. She is also the author of “20 Things We’d Tell Our Twentysomethings Selves.”Then we had Dr. Mikel Del Rosario join us to discuss the legitimacy of the New Testament Bible manuscripts, despite the differences in their wording. Dr. Del Rosario currently teaches apologetics, philosophy, ethics, and Bible as a Professor of Bible and Theology at MBI. Before coming to Moody, he taught Apologetics classes at Jessup University in California. He has a passion for helping Christians find clear answers to tough questions about Christianity and explaining their faith with courage and compassion. we continue in our celebration of the resurrection of Jesus again this weekend. One of the hymns we will be singing this weekend is a German hymn from the 1700's written by Johann Moller.  This hymn weaves in many New Testament Bible passages and does a beautiful job of showing us what the resurrection of Jesus actually means for us. As we saw two weeks ago, this hymn also begins and ends each verse with the emphatic declaration: "I am content!"  The death and resurrection of Jesus is able to give us greater contentment than the knowledge that He cares for our physical needs. He cares even more about our spiritual needs. To guarantee this Jesus "fulfilled the law of God for me" (v.1). In addition to His perfect life, Jesus also paid our sin debt through His own death on Calvary's cross. Then He rose from the dead, bringing death into subjection to Him and releasing believers from its power.  Jesus is my Lord and is a good and gracious leader and ruler who desires and accomplishing "my soul's release" (v.3), and promises to bring us to Heaven. He is also the Light of the World, which offers sinners "sweet comfort, hope and peace" (v.4). Finally we return to the topic of death. Through His own death, Jesus has sactified death and the grave of His saints, and in the resurrection from the dead will destroy the power of death over His redeemed children. In the resurrection from death "we shall always be with the Lord" (1 Thessalonians 4:17). Yes, "I am content!" The resurrection of Jesus gives the greatest hope and peace!    Join us in our study of this hymn and as we join to sing this hymn in our worship this weekend. Christ's resurrection gives us the greatest contentment of all!

Hymn 201 - Jesus Lives! The Victory's Won!

This weekend we continue in our celebration of the resurrection of Jesus in the Season of Easter. One of the hymns we will be singing this weekend is a German hymn from the 1700's written by Christian Gellert.  This hymn weaves in many New Testament Bible passages and does a beautiful job of showing us what the resurrection of Jesus actually means for us. Each verse begins with the emphatic declaration: "Jesus Lives!" and ends with the statement: "This shall be my confidence!" What does the resurrection of Jesus mean? "Death no longer can appal [horrify] me" (verse 1). Because Jesus lives, we will live also. It means "I shall go where He is gone" (v.2). Jesus has finished His work and ascended into heaven. And He will return and bring us there as well. It also means "For me He died" (verse 3) so I will live for Jesus, just as the Apostle Paul says in 2 Corinthians 5:15: “and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again." It means "God will be a sure Defense" (verse 4), and "neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:39). Finally, it means "Now is death but the gate of life immortal" (verse 5). Jesus has defeated death and now it is simply the door which leads us to the presence of our Savior in eternity. Yes, "Jesus lives! This shall be my confidence!" The resurrection of Jesus is not myth. It is not just some historical event. It has significant meaning for us today, and for eternity.    Join us as celebrate the rich meaning of Christ's resurrection from the dead and as join our hearts and lips to give Him praise and glory for that victory over death!
