(This podcast was previously recorded and published on December 23, 2020)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   Revelation16:1-2 And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.   2 And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome (smelly) and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.   Many doctrines in churches today are doctrines of men and not doctrines of God.  As churches follow the doctrines of men, the people of those churches take on the mark of the beast, worshiping something that is not God.  Upon these people comes the wrath of God.   Plagues of blood to follow:   Revelation 16:3-4  And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea.   4 And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood.   And the angels in heaven rejoiced saying:   5-6  And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus.  For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and Thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.   7 And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are THY judgments.   But the men of this world who have taken on the mark of the beast curse God over these plagues and they repent not of their works.   The fourth angel of the 7 angels, brings a plague that affects men greatly.   *****   Revelation 16   8-9  And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.  And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give HIM glory.   10-11  And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,  And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.   12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.  And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.  For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.   15 (Jesus says) Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.   We will not be ashamed in the day of the Lord when we follow the instructions given by the New Testament Bible, for by these we correct our way on this earth and come into agreement with God and HIS Word, Jesus.   But those in churches who agree with antichrist and follow his doctrines will be ashamed when Jesus returns for His righteous.   Correct yourselves now by the New Testament Bible and follow the doctrines of the Bible and turn from the antichrist doctrines being taught by man, and agree with God, while there is still time.   Revelation 16   17-21  And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.   18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.   19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of HIS wrath.   20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.   21  And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.    

(This podcast was previously recorded and published on December 25, 2020)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   The word, "Rapture", is used in many churches to describe the church being removed from this present earth and taken into heaven.   The first time I ever heard this word, "Rapture" used at church, I was very shocked.   I checked New Testament Bible and found this word, "Rapture", is not in the Bible.  It is a word that was made up by man.   I never use this word to describe the church being taken into heaven.   The following scriptures wonderfully tell us what will happen:   I Thessalonians 4:13-17 ... The dead in Christ rise first.   13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep (dead), that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.   14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with HIM.   15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent (precede) them which are asleep (dead).   16 For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:   17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.   ("In the air" is very important for it shows us Jesus' kingdom will not be on the present earth.  After we are removed from this earth, God will destroy this heaven and earth by fire.  We will be in our new spiritual bodies and will be taken to the New Heaven and the New Earth wherein dwelleth righteousness.)   I Corinthians 15:48-52  ... We are changed into new spiritual bodies.   48  As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.   49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.   (On this earth we have the physical form resembling our parents.  In heaven we will have the form of God and Jesus which is a spiritual form.)   50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.   51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep (die), but we shall all be changed,   52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.   ***** An artist depicted the rising of the church but this artist showed individuals rising out of their autos in their present physical bodies.  This will not happen.  First those on the earth at the time Jesus returns will be changed into the spiritual bodies.  This physical body does not rise for it is corruptible, subject to physical disease and pain and emotions which are hurtful.  In heaven, there will be no pain, nor sorrow, nor death ... thus in heaven there will be no physical type body as we know the body today.   ***   Revelation 21:1-5  ...  We are taken to the new heaven and the new earth.   1  And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.   2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.   3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and HE will dwell with them, and they shall be HIS people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.   4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.   5 And HE that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.   ***   II Peter 3:10-14  ... This earth is destroyed by God.   10  But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.   11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,   12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?   13 Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.   14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.  

(This podcast was previously recorded and published on December 21, 2020)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...    It is important to read New Testament Bible and to keep scriptures of what God says before us so we will not drift away from God's laws with the thinking of humans and be turned over by God to a reprobate mind.   Romans 1:28  And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;   II Corinthians 13:5  Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?   The only thing important is:  What does God say?   By the New Testament Bible, we set our thinking to match God's view.   ***   Consider this:   I Corinthians 7:39   The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.   In churches, people are often told, "We don't go by the law in the New Testament church."    We don't go by the law of Moses concerning sacrifice of animals for sins, but we still go by the New Testament laws of God as the New Testament church.   Romans 7:1-3  Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?  For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.  So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.   I Corinthians 7:10-11  And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:  But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.   Matthew 5:32  But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.   (If a husband divorces a faithful wife and she remarries, she will commit adultery but her husband who divorced her will be the cause of her adultery.  And the man who marries this divorced woman commits adultery.)   Mark 10   2 And the Pharisees came to HIM (to Jesus), and asked HIM, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting HIM.   3 And HE answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you?   4 And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away.   5 And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.   6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.   7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;   8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.   9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.   10 And in the house HIS disciples asked HIM again of the same matter.   11 And HE saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.   12 And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.   At the marriage ceremony, most couples vow that marriage is "till death do them part."  That is certainly what God teaches.   ***   In the Bible, the apostle Paul shows us how the two become one flesh.   I Corinthians 6:15-16  Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.  What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith HE, shall be one flesh.   (Even if a man has sex with a prostitute, the two become one flesh.)   How do you separate one flesh?   You can't explain it away by divorce papers from a civil court.   Therefore God says:  Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.  (I Corinthians 6:18)   Sexual sins are different from all other sins.   ***   Concerning homosexuals and lesbians:   Romans 1:25-27   Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.   26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:   27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

(This podcast was previously recorded and published on December 19, 2020)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   If we confess in our hearts that Jesus is Lord, then Jesus, The Word, rules over us and we obey the scriptures and see the Word as Lord.   Romans 10:9-11  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on HIM (The Word) shall not be ashamed.   Jesus said many would come saying He is the Christ and they would deceive many.   These are those who confess with their mouth but do not believe the Word in their hearts.  They believe something other than the scripture of the New Testament Bible and therefore they do something other than the instruction given by scripture.   Matthew 24:4-5  And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.   They say Jesus is Lord and they say they are Christians, but they do not believe all the scriptures, such as:   * The man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.  Matthew 5:32   * If a woman leaves her husband let her remain "unmarried" or be reconciled with her husband.  I Corinthians 7:10-11   * Homosexuals and lesbians have been turned over by God to do "vile affections."  Romans 1:26-27   Some will believe some scripture but not all of these scriptures because of their personal preferences.   One person might believe homosexuals are wrong but might believe it is permissible for a man to marry a divorced woman.   We who are of God are rebuilt by God to believe all the scriptures not just some scripture.   Thereby we have the Spirit of Truth in us and are led by the Spirit of Truth.   Flesh cannot understand things of God with the natural mind.  Only when the Spirit of Truth, the Holy Spirit, lives in us can we understand things of God.   I Corinthians 2:14   But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.   John said there were already many antichrist in the church in his day.  (I John 2:18)   Paul said to the elders at Ephesus that he knew there were men among them who were just waiting for him to depart so they could bring "perverse" things into the church.  (Acts 20:30)   After Jesus was taken into heaven, antichrist could set up various denominations and teach what he wanted to teach in the churches, things opposite to the doctrines of Christ in the Bible.   II Thessalonians 2:4  Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.The falling away from scripture was sitting there among those elders in the church at Ephesus as the apostle Paul warned, recorded for us in Acts 20.   And the falling away from the doctrines of the scriptures has been taking place in church groups for 2000 years before the eyes of those who can see.   And today the churches have grown closer and closer to this world through the changing of doctrines from the instruction of the New Testament Bible in order to draw men to themselves just as Paul said in Acts 20.   28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which HE hath purchased with His own blood.   29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.   30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.   Thus setting up their own denominations, dividing the church of Jesus Christ.   But the falling away began from the time Jesus was resurrected and the true doctrine was given to the men of God which became the New Testament for us where all scripture is inspired by God.  (II Timothy 3:16)  

(This podcast was previously recorded and published on November 15, 2020)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   What do we do? as we continue to live on this present earth.   I go by these instructions which Paul gave to Timothy in the New Testament Bible:   I Timothy 4   13 Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.   14 Neglect not the gift that is in thee  ... (the spiritual gift which God has given us for the church)   15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.   16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.   *****   * to reading:   The New Testament Bible is filled with letters which the apostle Paul wrote to the church.   I've been re-reading these epistles in a single setting.  Such as reading the entire letter to the Romans.   Then I read the next day the entire first letter to the Corinthians ... then the second letter to the Corinthians ... then the following days, reading the letters: Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, etc.   I also focus on some of the meditation scriptures which I have accumulated for these build me up in the faith in God and help me to stay focused.   I read our blog daily:  Jesus Ministries Exhortations    In my bathroom, I keep one of the ministry books that we have published on Amazon.  (see Joan Boney)   These books are filled with scripture.  I use paperback book for bathroom.  You can start anywhere in any one of the books and be edified in things of God with many scriptures.  I find re-reading these books helpful to me.   Often as I am reading, God will catch my attention on a subject for me to write that subject.  For example, when I began reading I Corinthians 1:1-2  Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother, 2 Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:  God got my attention on how we are all called to be saints.   I thought of how the Catholic church appoints certain dead men and women as "saints" and how they teach their people that these dead "saints" have certain powers to help them, which is abominable doctrine for they teach their people to trust in corpses rather than to trust in the living God.   I was stirred up by the Holy Spirit to write an exhortation to the church concerning the subject of "saints" according to the Bible meaning.   ***   * to exhortation:   To exhort means to urge earnestly by advice and warning.  We are to exhort one another in the faith in God and the Word of God.  For the days are certainly evil and many evil concepts are spoken by humans on TV and in person.   I Timothy 4:7-8   But refuse profane (secular sayings) and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.  8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.   A Catholic woman often visited me at my previous home in Texas.  She spoke many "profane" sayings which were not in the Bible.  I would just look at her and tell her I lived by the Bible and what she just said was not in the Bible.  This is the way I "rejected" her profane sayings.   When you do this, they will usually depart from you and choose not to keep company with you any more.   ***   *  to doctrine:   Doctrine is critical for us.  Doctrine are the rules of God from the New Testament church.  We live by doctrines, such as:   * The man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery. (Matthew 5:32)   * Flee fornication:  Every sin that a man doeth is without the body but he who committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.  (I Corinthians 6)   * And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.  (I Corinthians 7:10-11)   *  For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.   And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;  (Romans 1:26-28)   * Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. (I Corinthians 6:9-10)   * For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,  But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?  (Hebrews 10:26-29)   * For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put Him to an open shame.  (Hebrews 6:4-6)   * For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.  For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.  But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.  (II Peter 2:20-22)   It is critical for us to keep reading these doctrines of Christ for this world and the churches today teach something very different from the New Testament Bible.   ***   So I have set myself daily to do that which Paul said to do:  "Give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine."   I believe doing this gives me a better opportunity to endure to the end of my time on this earth.   Jesus says:   Matthew 24:12-13   And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.  

(This podcast was previously recorded and published on November 10, 2020)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   In the New Testament Bible in Romans 1:26, God calls homosexual and lesbian acts "vile affections." In the Old Testament, when a king of the children of Israel removed the Sodomites from the city, that king was said to be a king who did right in the sight of God. (I Kings 22:43-46)   God sent 2 angels to Sodom to destroy the city and all the people except for Lot and his wife and two daughters.   When homosexuals came from every quarter of Sodom to have sex with the two angels, Lot said to the men of Sodom,   "I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly."  (Genesis 19:7)   The homosexual acts of the men of Sodom were known to be wicked.   And these men of Sodom did not try to hide their homosexual preferences, but they were openly known to be homosexuals, and their wickedness reached God, and God sent the angels to destroy these men and to destroy Sodom and all the people in Sodom.   The angel explained to Lot:   Genesis 19:12-13   And the men (the angels) said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place:   13 For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the LORD; and the LORD hath sent us to destroy it.   When the sins become open before all, then the cry "of them" as they flaunt their sin waxes great before God and God deals with their open sins.   Isaiah 3:9   The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves.   The time of judgment is upon this world.   The Catholic pope announced to the world on October 21, 2020, that same sex marriages would be approved in Catholic church when they were performed in civil ceremonies.   The Catholic pope condemns himself and his followers to eternal hell by his approval of sins against God.   And such also is the case of protestant preachers who approve sins of the Bible in their church groups.   II Thessalonians 2:10-12  And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.  And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:  That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.   *****   Revelation 22   Jesus says:   11 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.   13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.   14 Blessed are they that do HIS commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.   15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.   ***   Romans 1   22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,   23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.   24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:   25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.   26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:   27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.   28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;   ***   They would not repent ... or could not repent:   II Peter 3   8  But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.   9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.   10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.   Revelation 2:21  And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.   Revelation 9:20  And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:   Revelation 16:9   And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give Him glory.   Revelation 16:11  And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds. ***   Deuteronomy 23:17  There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel.  

(This podcast was previously recorded and published on November 11, 2020)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   A woman in our church group was divorced and went to a pastor to see if she could remarry after divorce.    The pastor told her:  "My sister divorced and remarried.  I don't see anything wrong with that."   A few years ago, the Catholic pope made a televised statement that he didn't see anything wrong about homosexuals.   Neither of these men read the Bible.   So this divorced woman remarried.   A few years later this woman was born again and began reading the Bible.  When I met her and she told me this story, she was really angry at that pastor who told her she could remarry.  By the scriptures she saw she committed adultery when she remarried.   The vast majority of churches today present a freedom to sin by telling the divorced woman she can remarry after divorce.  They ignore what the Bible says and set up another doctrine.  They present to their church groups "another Jesus", another word.   There are several scriptures on this subject of divorce/remarriage and they all agree:   *****   I Corinthians 7:39 The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.   ***   Romans 7:1-3   1 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?   2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.   3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.   This scripture is "inspired by God", as are all scriptures.   Paul wrote this to the New Testament Church as a "law of God" for the women.   Yet churches today explained this scripture away by saying we are not under the law in the church today.   This foolishness in handling scripture is despicable and damning to the church.  There are many "laws of God" in the New Testament Bible including this law in Romans 7.  If you eliminate this concerning the woman being under the law (rule) of her husband, you have to remove most of the New Testament Bible and even some of the Old Testament for God said:  Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.  (Gen. 3:19)   We are not under the Old Testament laws of God concerning sacrifice for sins for Jesus is our sacrifice for sins but that is not the same subject as remarriage after divorce.   Romans 7:1-3 is a valid rule for women in the New Testament church.  And when we consider the following scriptures on this subject, notice they agree with Romans 7.   ***   Paul said the following is the commandment for the Lord in the New Testament Church:   I Corinthians 7:10-11   And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.   ***   Mark 10:6-9  Jesus says:  But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.   11 And HE saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.   12 And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.   ***    Here is one of the most misused scriptures of all twisted teachings in today's church.   Matthew 5:32  Jesus says, in speaking to the men of the church:  But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.   * If a man divorces a "faithful wife", and that faithful wife remarries, she will commit adultery but her husband will be the cause of her adultery.   * The man who marries the divorced woman commits adultery.   But churches are twisting this scripture and teaching the following:  "If a husband is committing fornication, the wife can divorce that husband and remarry."   This is not correct:  The scripture says if the wife is faithful and her husband divorces her and she remarries she will commit adultery. But her husband will be the cause of her adultery upon her remarriage after divorce.  And the man who marries the divorced woman commits adultery.   ***   If the divorced woman remarries she commits adultery according to the Bible.   Matthew 19   3 The Pharisees also came unto HIM (to Jesus), tempting HIM, and saying unto HIM, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?   4 And HE (Jesus) answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,   5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?   6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.   Paul explains that at the time of sexual intercourse, the two become one flesh:  Even if a man has sex with a prostitute they become "one flesh".   I Corinthians 6:15-16  Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid. What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith HE, shall be one flesh.   ***   Matthew 19:7-9  They say unto HIM, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away?   8 HE (Jesus) saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.   9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.   If the wife is unfaithful, the husband can divorce that unfaithful wife and remarry.   But the same is not true for the wife with an unfaithful husband because Paul said in I Corinthians 7:10-11, this is the commandment of the Lord for the woman in the New Testament church.  And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:  But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.   ***   So if you are a divorced woman, according to Bible, you are to remain unmarried or return to your husband.   If the woman's husband is dead, she is free to remarry but only in the Lord.   I Corinthians 7:39  The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.   ***   These scriptures are "freedom from sin" to those who follow these instructions.   A woman called me once wanting to discuss with me her mother's second marriage.   God said to me:  "Just focus on the scriptures and what they say."  

(This podcast was previously recorded and published on November 1, 2020)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   As we wait for the return of Jesus where HE take us off this earth and takes us to the new heaven and the new earth, the apostle Peter says to us the following concerning how we are to live as we wait for Jesus.   II Peter 3:13-14   Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.  Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.   We cannot be involved in the schemes of this present world.  We can't give approval to political parties where much evil is being done and where Bible is flaunted in hypocritical ways before our faces. We can't protest in the streets.  Our kingdom is not of this world.  We are just waiting on this earth for Jesus to return and remove us from this earth and take us to the new heaven and new earth where righteousness dwells.  This present earth will never be righteous regardless of what we might try to do.   Righteousness is in the new heaven and the new earth which God has prepared for HIS people.   Romans 12:2  Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.   Pray for those in authority, but don't entangle yourself with them.   I Timothy 2:1-3   I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;  For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.  For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;   And Paul says:   II Timothy 2:3-4   Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.  No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please HIM who hath chosen him to be a soldier.   As those chosen by God, follow God and serve God, doing the Word of God according to the New Testament Bible.  

(This podcast was previously recorded and published on October 4, 2020)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   Focus on what the New Testament Bible says concerning the matter at hand.  We renew our minds to the Bible rather than considering that which people say about the subject.    The Bible is truth from God.   Concerning sexual intercourse:  At the time of sexual intercourse the two become one flesh.   Paul warns the men of his time:  I Corinthians 6 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.  16  What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith HE, shall be one flesh.  17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.   18  Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.   19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?   20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.   Notice that Paul says sexual sins are unlike all other sins.  Verse 18:  Sexual sins are sins against your own body.   In I Corinthians 6, the apostle Paul also warns about other sins:  And Paul says they that do such sins will not inherit the kingdom of God.    9  Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? (Mt. 5:32)   * The husband who divorced the faithful wife will be the cause of her adultery if she remarries.  (Mt. 5:32)   * The man who divorces a faithful wife and marries another woman commits adultery.  (Mt. 19:9)   *  The man who marries the divorced woman commits adultery.  (Mt. 5:32 & Mt. 19:9)   Mark 10  6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.  7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;  8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. 9  What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.   11-12   And HE (Jesus) saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.  And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.   Several years ago, a woman contacted me wanting to talk to me about her mother's second marriage.  God said to me:  "Don't focus on the circumstances of the second marriage.  Just focus on that which the Bible says."   ***   Concerning homosexuals & lesbians:   Romans 1   18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;   19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.   20 For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:   21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified Him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.   22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,   23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.   24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:   25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.   26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:   27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.   28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;   When they say they were just born that way, here is what the Spirit of God says:   Mark 10:6  But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.   ***   Concerning money:   I Timothy 6   5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.   6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.   7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.   8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.   9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.   10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.   11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.   12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.   17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;   18 That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;   19 Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.   ***   Walk in the Spirit:   Romans 8:   1  There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.   The flesh will desire to do the works of the flesh which are:  Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.  (Galatians 5:19-21)   Galatians 5:16  This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.   The Spirit of God lives in us and HE will reminds us of ways to go when we are tempted.  If we walk in the Spirit, we follow what HE says.  If we turn from HIS instructions and follow the desire of our own flesh, we place ourselves in danger of being turned over to a reprobate mind by God.   We crucify our flesh by walking in the way of the Spirit.  Our flesh will suffer when it does not get its way but our soul is spared when we choose to go in the way of the Spirit.   Romans 8   5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.   6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.   11  But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, HE that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by HIS Spirit that dwelleth in you.   12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.   13  For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify (stop) the deeds of the body, ye shall live.   14  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.   As we read the New Testament Bible, we know the will of God vs. the will of the flesh.   Also we are greatly helped by the Holy Spirit who reminds us of everything that is the will of God.  (I Corinthians 2)   ***   At the judgment seat of Christ:   II Corinthians 5:10  For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.   We will be judged by the WORD of God at the judgment seat of Christ, whether or not our actions on this earth agree with that WORD.   The sins we commit before we are born again are paid for by the blood of Jesus.   But to continue willfully in sins after the knowledge of the truth is to crucify Jesus a second time which cannot be done.   Hebrews 10   24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:   25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.   26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,   27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.   28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:   29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?   II Peter 2   20  For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.   21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.   22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.   So we exhort one another:  urge earnestly with advice and warning   It is an extremely bad situation after we have received the knowledge of the truth to turn from that truth and return to our previous way of life of sins of the flesh.   So we pray when tempted and we keep scriptures before us to help us to overcome.   Jesus says:   Revelation 3:5  He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.   Matthew 24:12-13  Jesus says, concerning the last days:  And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.   But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.   Mark 8:36   For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?  

(This podcast was previously recorded and published on October 23, 2020)    Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   In the last days, God will cause the powers of heaven to be shaken and the earth shall move "out of her place" in the solar system.   Several years ago, God gave me a dream about this:  The earth slipped and moved on its axis.  People were terrified.  The governments of men were meeting with the scientists and religious leaders to see what could be done about this.  A TV newsman was telling the story and he was so frightened he just stopped in the middle of his report and got up and walked out of the studio.  He knew this was going to affect him too.   The Old Testament prophet, Isaiah, told of this in the following scripture:   Isaiah 13:13  God says:  Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of HIS fierce anger.   Since the beginning of creation, God has kept the earth in place in the solar system as we know it to be.  By HIS Word God created the heaven and the earth.  And this creation was perfect for sustaining life.   In the end of this world, it will all be changed by God and man will find there is nothing he can do to stop this from happening, though he will try to stop it.   Jesus described it as follows:   Matthew 24:29-31   Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:   30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.   31 And HE shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.   Everything we can see with our natural eye will either be removed from this present earth or destroyed.   And every human will then appear to be judged by the Word of God and will receive for that which he has done in his lifetime whether good or bad.  (II Cor. 5:10)   Since we will be judged by The Word, we want to conform our lives to The Word, doing that which we see to do by the instruction given in the New Testament Bible.   So the apostle Paul tells us the following:   Romans 12:2  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.   *****   We must conform our own minds to the Word of God, being in agreement with the Holy Bible for it is by the Word we will be judged.   So we conform our thinking to that which God says about the subject.   - Divorce/remarriage - Homosexual/lesbians - Various types of sins of the flesh:  adultery, fornication, idolatry, superstitions of men, hate, variance, emulations, and other works of the flesh, for the apostle Paul tells us:  "They which do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God."  (Galatians 5:21)   We must agree with God and change our way of thinking and change our way of living while we are on this present earth, considering the New Testament Bible in all things as the rule for the way to live while we are alive on this earth.  

(This podcast was previously recorded and published on October 15, 2020)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   Jesus, the Word, is the way to God.  There is no other way or plan of man or doctrine other than that doctrine of Jesus Christ.   Your church doctrine is often different from the Word of the New Testament Bible.    Your church doctrine might be based on the tradition of men.  It will not take you to God.    You can't go to God through Buddha or through Mohammad.  It is only by Jesus, THE WORD, we come to God.   When we believe on The Word given to us by God and act on that word, are we followers of God.   Church attendance and good works will not take us to God the Father.    Only by Jesus, The Word, can we come to God.  

Acts 7:57 Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord, 58 And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet, whose name was Saul. 59 And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. 60 And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.So the killing of Stephen brought forth a man later named Paul who wrote a large part of our New Testament Bible. (This podcast was previously recorded and published on October 1, 2020)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   Before the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus, HE told us some things to expect to see upon this earth before the second coming of Jesus and the great tribulation and the end of this world.   Jesus said:    Matthew 24:6-8   And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.   7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.   8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.   Wars, rumors of wars, famines, pestilences and earthquakes ... which we have seen for centuries.   Two other things which must happen before Jesus returns:   II Thessalonians 2:3-4   Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day (of the Lord) shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.   In 1982, God said to me:  The falling away are not people leaving the churches.  The falling away are the churches leaving the scriptures.  (This we have seen for many generations as various denominations are set up by men and doctrines other than those in New Testament Bible become a part of their church groups.)   Matthew 24:14  Jesus says:   And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.   (Hasn't Internet been a very big factor in fulfilling this with both blogs and podcasts?)   I believe we have seen all these things happen.   No one knows exactly when Jesus will returns and the great tribulation will come, but we are told to "be ready".   Most of the people of this world are oblivious to these things that are approaching, but we, the church, know these things are coming and many of us think they are coming soon, perhaps in our own lifetimes.   *****   Luke 21    Jesus says:   25  And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;   26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.    27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.   28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.   33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but MY words shall not pass away.   34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting (over indulgence), and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.   35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.   36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.   ***   I believe the surest thing to watch for are the signs in the sky:   When the sun goes dark in the day we can know the great tribulation is upon us!     ***   So far as the people of this world, Jesus explains:   Luke 17   26  And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.   27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.   28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;   29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.   30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.  

(This podcast was previously recorded and published on October 7, 2020)    Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   It sounds insane and impossible to take no thought for our lives.  Yet that is what Jesus said to do.  Jesus said, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."  (Matthew 6:33)   We, who belong to God, seek the kingdom of God by praying, asking God to show us what to do.  We also read the New Testament Bible and ask God for wisdom concerning that which we read.  And we learn to follow the Spirit of God who shows us the will of God and the way to go in all matters that pertain to this present life.   Matthew 11:28-30   Jesus says:  Come unto ME (The Word), all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  Take MY yoke upon you, and learn of ME (The Word); for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your soul.  For MY yoke is easy and MY burden is light.   Yoking yourself to the word of God changes everything.   *****   Matthew 6  Jesus says:   19  Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:   20  But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:   (Meditate on scripture and do Word of God and let scripture be your delight and it will be your treasure.)   21  For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.   24  No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.   25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?   26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?   27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?   28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:   29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.   30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall HE not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?   31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?   32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.   33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.   34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.  

(This podcast was previously recorded and published on October 4, 2020)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   Focus on what the New Testament Bible says concerning the matter at hand.  We renew our minds to the Bible rather than considering that which people say about the subject.     The Bible is truth from God.    Concerning sexual intercourse:  At the time of sexual intercourse the two become one flesh.   Paul warns the men of his time:  I Corinthians 6   Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.  16  What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith HE, shall be one flesh.  17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.   18  Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.   19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?   20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.   Notice that Paul says sexual sins are unlike all other sins.  Verse 18:  Sexual sins are sins against your own body.   In I Corinthians 6, the apostle Paul also warns about other sins:  And Paul says they that do such sins will not inherit the kingdom of God.    9  Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God?  Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate (homosexuals), nor abusers of themselves with mankind,  10  Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.   Christians are baptized unto the death of Christ that they might walk in newness of life serving God.  (Romans 6)   God gives each of us HIS own spirit to show us what to do on this present earth.  (John 14:26 & John 16:13)   And we have the New Testament Bible to confirm to us rules of God and the will of God.   II Timothy 3:16-17   All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:  That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.   So we renew our minds to the scriptures, seeing the will of God for us.  We establish our way by scripture, building our house on that which God says as we walk on this present earth.   Here are more things shared in this Podcast which enable us to renew our mind of that which God says.   *****   Divorce/remarriage:   I Corinthians 7:10-11   And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:  But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.   Romans 7:1-3   Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?  For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.  3  So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.   Matthew 5:32   But I say unto you (says Jesus), That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.   Matthew 19:9   And I  (Jesus) say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.   * If a faithful wife is divorced by her husband, she will commit adultery if she remarries. (Mt. 5:32)   * The husband who divorced the faithful wife will be the cause of her adultery if she remarries.  (Mt. 5:32)   * The man who divorces a faithful wife and marries another woman commits adultery.  (Mt. 19:9)   * The man who marries the divorced woman commits adultery.  (Mt. 5:32 & Mt. 19:9)   Mark 10   6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.  7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;  8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. 9  What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.   11-12   And HE (Jesus) saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.  And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.   Several years ago, a woman contacted me wanting to talk to me about her mother's second marriage.  God said to me:  "Don't focus on the circumstances of the second marriage.  Just focus on that which the Bible says."   ***   Concerning homosexuals & lesbians:   Romans 1   18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;   19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.   20 For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:   21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified Him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.   22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,   23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.   24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:   25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.   26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:   27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.   28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;   When they say they were just born that way, here is what the Spirit of God says:   Mark 10:6  But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.    ***   Concerning money:   I Timothy 6   5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.   6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.   7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.   8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.   9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.   10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.   11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.   12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.   17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;   18 That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;   19 Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.   ***   Walk in the Spirit:   Romans 8   1  There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.   The flesh will desire to do the works of the flesh which are:  Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.  (Galatians 5:19-21)   Galatians 5:16   This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.   The Spirit of God lives in us and HE will reminds us of ways to go when we are tempted.  If we walk in the Spirit, we follow what HE says.  If we turn from HIS instructions and follow the desire of our own flesh, we place ourselves in danger of being turned over to a reprobate mind by God.   We crucify our flesh by walking in the way of the Spirit.  Our flesh will suffer when it does not get its way but our soul is spared when we choose to go in the way of the Spirit.   Romans 8   5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.   6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.   11  But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, HE that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by HIS Spirit that dwelleth in you.   12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.   13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify (stop) the deeds of the body, ye shall live.   14  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.   As we read the New Testament Bible, we know the will of God vs. the will of the flesh.   Also we are greatly helped by the Holy Spirit who reminds us of everything that is the will of God.  (I Corinthians 2)   ***   At the judgment seat of Christ:   II Corinthians 5:10  For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.   We will be judged by the WORD of God at the judgment seat of Christ, whether or not our actions on this earth agree with that WORD.   The sins we commit before we are born again are paid for by the blood of Jesus.   But to continue willfully in sins after the knowledge of the truth is to crucify Jesus a second time which cannot be done.   Hebrews 10   24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:   25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.   26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,   27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.   28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:   29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?   II Peter 2   20  For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.   21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.   22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.   So we exhort one another:  urge earnestly with advice and warning   It is an extremely bad situation after we have received the knowledge of the truth to turn from that truth and return to our previous way of life of sins of the flesh.   So we pray when tempted and we keep scriptures before us to help us to overcome.   Jesus says:   Revelation 3:5  He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.   Matthew 24:12-13  Jesus says, concerning the last days:  And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.   But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.   Mark 8:36   For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

Dr. Del Rosario currently teaches apologetics, philosophy, ethics, and Bible as a Professor of Bible and Theology at MBI. Before coming to Moody, he taught Apologetics classes at Jessup University in California. He has a passion for helping Christians find clear answers to tough questions about Christianity and explaining their faith with courage and compassion. Then we had Dr. Mary Hendrickson join us to discuss how our personalities can affect the way we read the Bible. Dr. Hendrickson is an Assistant Professor of Human Services and Pre-Counseling at MBI. She serves in the Counseling Psychology and Educational Ministries department. We then discussed the importance of “girding up the loins” of our minds, meaning having a sober mind and being alert for whatever comes. (This podcast was previously recorded and published on June 6, 2020)    Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...    Iniquity is abounding today.  That is a main sign of the coming of Jesus and the coming of the wrath of God.  And because of the abounding iniquity, the love of many will wax cold.  He that endures will be saved.  Mt. 24:12-13   What are you doing to endure? ***** Matthew 24  Jesus says:   12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.   13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.   21  For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.   22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.    ***   Do you recognize the iniquity that is in our churches today and in the world?   Or are you just trying to see good in everyone?  If that is the case you will destroy yourself.  So you must awaken and "fight" to hold on as the evil around us increases.   *** The tribulation that is coming is even worse than that flood that destroyed this world in the days of Noah.   Genesis 6   5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.    6 And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved Him at His heart.   7 And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth;   Why is the coming tribulation sent by God even worse than the flood that destroyed the people in the days of Noah?  Read Revelation 8-16 to see the woes and plagues that God is sending before God destroys this present heaven and earth.   *** The coming "great tribulation".   I Thessalonians 5   1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.   2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.   3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.   (In many parts of the world homosexuals live in a type of peace and safety never before seen and the various countries forbid the speaking against them through what Bible says in Romans 1:26-27, and they even marry one another in ceremonies as do men and women.)   Romans 1:26-27   26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:   27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.   Before God destroyed Sodom, homosexuals were in every part of the city of Sodom and they gathered to have sex with the angels who came to destroy Sodom.  (Genesis 19)   *** I Thessalonians 5   4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.   5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.   6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.   7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.   8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.   9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,   Jesus Christ, the Word, saves us from that wrath of God that is coming upon this earth, if we live in the Word and hold onto the Word; otherwise we will go down also with this world.   ***   But the sins shown in the New Testament Bible are rarely mentioned in the churches today.   When was the last time you heard your preacher speak against specific sins?   Yet Paul said:   I Corinthians 6   9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate (homosexuals), nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.   Revelation 22   14 Blessed are they that do HIS commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.    15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.   *** Jesus says:   Luke 21   33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but MY words shall not pass away.   34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.   35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.   36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.   *** So how are we to escape that which is clearly upon this world and the worldly church groups?   "Watch and pray" ...   Allow yourselves to awaken to that which is going on today.  Pray, asking God what you should do to escape that iniquity when you see that iniquity.     No one knows the exact time of the end but we do know how we must be living at the time it starts to come:  Peter tells us.   II Peter 3   10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.   11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,   12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?   13 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.   14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.  ***    I John 2:18    Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.   ***    Genesis 19:4-5  But before they (the angels sent by God to bring Lot out of Sodom and to destroy Sodom) lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:   5 And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them (have sex with them).  ***   2 Thessalonians 2:3   Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day (of the Lord) shall not come, except there come a falling away first, (churches falling away from scripture) and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition (antichrist);  

(This podcast was previously recorded and published on May 26, 2020)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...    For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.  (Mt. 12)   When our words line up with New Testament Bible by the Spirit of God, we will be justified.   We must renew our minds to the Word of God and speak those things which warn and edify the church.   *****   II Corinthians 5   9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of Him.   10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.   11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; ***   Proverbs 4:23   Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.   ***   Matthew 12  Jesus says:   33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.   34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.   35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.   36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.   37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.   *** James 1:26   If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.   ***   Ephesians 4:29     Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.   ***   1 Timothy 2:1-2  Paul said ...  I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;   2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.   ***    We will not all die:    I Thessalonians 4:15-17  For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent (precede) them which are asleep (are dead).   16 For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:   17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.     I Corinthians 15:51-52  Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep (die), but we shall all be changed,   52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.   ***    2 Timothy 4:14-15   Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works:   15 Of whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words.

Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.   First, do we go the extra mile in dealing with people? Even when they treat us unfairly, do we treat them with good?   Concerning the doctrine, do we live by the doctrines set forth for us by God in the New Testament?   Paul says if we pay attention to ourselves and the doctrine, "In doing this, we will save ourselves and those that hear us."  (I Timothy 4:16)   *****   * Take heed to yourselves:   Treat other people in a godly way as shown by the Spirit of God.   When we had the house in Texas, our realtor became upset with us, or with the property, and no longer wanted to deal with us.  She sent us a letter saying, "I think the time has comes for us to part ways."   I responded,  "Ok ... thank you."   That same day, I found another realtor who would represent the property and within two days the house was back on the market.  And the house sold in two days after going back on the market.   After the closing, and the money was in the bank for the house, I sent checks of $500 to both the previous realtor and her partner for their work they had done in showing the house.  It wasn't much, but I thought they deserved something, for I knew these previous realtors had several open houses where they displayed the house.   After we sent the gratuities to the previous realtors, we received an email from one of the partners saying how she thought she had learned a lot from us and would be a better realtor in the future.   Regardless, their encounter with us should show God to them by the way we dealt with issues.   For example:  One of their agents, a Catholic, went over to the property and buried a "idol" of some kind in our flower bed in back of the house, for this woman thought this "idol" would allow her to pray over the house and make the house sell.  As soon as we found out this had been done, we said that this is witchcraft and we required that this "idol" be removed from the property.   Make it a point to share God's way and to deal in a way that is right in the sight of God in all things.   ***   * Take heed ... to the doctrines of Christ:   Many doctrines of Christ set forth for the church in the New Testament Bible are set aside in the churches today.  But we need to keep those doctrines in our own minds and function in this life according to those doctrines.   Some of the Bible doctrines which have been changed from the NT Bible today in the church are as follows:   * Divorce & remarriage after divorce:   Mark 10   And HE (Jesus) arose from thence, and cometh into the coasts of Judaea by the farther side of Jordan: and the people resort unto Him again; and, as HE was wont, HE taught them again.   2 And the Pharisees came to Him, and asked Him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting Him.    3  And HE answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you?    4  And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away.    5  And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.    6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.    7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;    8  And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.    9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.   10 And in the house his disciples asked him again of the same matter.    11 And HE saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.   12 And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.   ***   Jesus said:   Matthew 5:32   But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.   - If a man divorces a faithful wife, and that faithful wife remarries, she will commit adultery upon remarriage after divorce.  But the husband who divorced the faithful wife will be the cause of her adultery.   - The man who marries the divorced woman commits adultery.   ***   I Corinthians 7   10 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:   11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.   *****   * Homosexuals & lesbians:   Romans 1   26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:   27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.   ***   I Corinthians 6   9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate (homosexuals), nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.   But if a person sees his sin and repents and turns from that sin and refuses to do that sin again, then he is forgiven and can be in the church and saved if he continues in God's ways.   11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.   John 8, Jesus says to the woman taken in adultery:  "Go, and sin no more."  She could not continue in adultery.   *****   * Dealing with "brothers" (and sisters) in Christ who commit sins of fornication, covetousness, idolatry, railing, drunkenness, or extortion:   I Corinthians 5:11   But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolator, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.   We have to put such away from ourselves. Paul  did not say to pray for them or counsel them.  If they are called "a brother" they know better and they know these are sins.  Just put such a one away from the church.  Or if you are in a church where these are accepted, you have to depart from them.   ***   Hebrews 10   26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,   27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.   28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:   29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?   30 For we know HIM that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto ME, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge His people.   (God will judge them but we have to put such a "brother" away from us.)   31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.   ***   Hebrews 6   4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, 5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,   6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put Him to an open shame.   ***   II Peter 2   20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.   21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.   22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.   ***   I Corinthians 5   It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.   2 And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.   3 For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed,   4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,   5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.   (I believe we deliver such a one to Satan when we refuse to associate with such a "brother".   *****   * Doctrine concerning the way we are to gather as the church when we meet:   I Corinthians 14   26 How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.   27 If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret.   28 But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.   29 Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.   30 If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace.   31 For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted.   32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.   33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.   34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law.   35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.   39 Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.   40 Let all things be done decently and in order.   *****   *  Ministers of the New Testament church given to the church after Jesus arose:   Ephesians 4   8 Wherefore HE saith, When HE ascended up on high, HE led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.    11 And HE gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;   12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:    13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:    14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;   No minister in the New Testament Bible is called "Reverend."   Holy and reverend is God's name.   *****   * Concerning fornication:   I Corinthians 6    15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.   16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith HE, shall be one flesh.   (At the time of sexual intercourse, the two become one flesh.)   17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.   18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.   ***   I Corinthians 7    Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.   2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.   3 Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.    4 The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.   *****   * Concerning and elder/bishop in the church.   I Timothy 3   This is a true saying, if a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.    2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;    3 Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;    4 One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;    5 (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)   6 Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.    7 Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.    8 Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre;    9 Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.    10 And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless.   11 Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things.    12 Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.    13 For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.   ***   Titus 1  (Paul  to Titus)   5 For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee:   6 If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly.   7 For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;   (We see Paul using the words elder & bishop interchangably.)    8 But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate;    9 Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.   10 For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision:  *****   Matthew 24:12-13  And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many (for the Word of God) shall wax cold.    13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. *****  We must view these doctrines from the Bible for churches today have changed these rules for the New Testament church.    I would not gather with a church group where these rules have been changed away from scriptures.  

(This podcast was previously recorded and published on May 20, 2020)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...    We are living in the time Paul spoke of in II Thessalonians 2:3-4 where Paul said this had to happen before Jesus returns.   A falling away would first happen.  Churches would fall away from scripture to set up other doctrines.   Because of the removal of scripture, antichrist moved into the church groups.  The scripture was the only thing holding antichrist back.   We are witnessing the apostasy in the churches now as Paul said we would do in the last days before Jesus' return. *****   II Thessalonians 2  (KJV)   3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day (of the Lord) shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;   (Churches would fall away from scripture and set up opposite doctrines:  The removal of portions of scripture allows antichrist to surface in the church groups.)   4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.   Here is one scripture that has been discarded in the churches today:   I Corinthians 7:10-11  And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.   ***   Serious penalty on these churches that remove scripture or add religious things to their church services which are not prescribed for the gathering of the church in the New Testament Bible.   II Thessalonians 2   10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.   11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:   12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness   (NASB)   The falling away is called "the apostasy" in the NASB.  II Thessalonians 2:3-4   apostasy: The abandonment or renunciation of a religious belief.  Many doctrines of the New Testament have been discarded in today's churches.   See:   * Romans 1:24-27  / Concerning homosexuals and lesbians   * Titus 1 / Requirements for elders in the churches  (elders are also called bishops)   * I Timothy 4 / Doctrines of devils and seducing spirits would be set up in the end time churches forbidding their ministers to marry and commanding the people to abstain from meats   * Matthew 5:32; Mark 10; I Corinthians 7:10-11 / When remarriage after divorce is adultery   * I Corinthians 14:16 / The gathering of the churches today has been changed from this instruction of the New Testament Bible   * John 14:26; John 16:13; I Corinthians 12; Romans 12 / Many churches today deny the entire body of scripture concerning the working of the Holy Spirit in the church and the gifts of the Holy Spirit.   Their ministers call themselves "Reverend" (in the Bible only God is referred to as Reverend, Psalm 111:9).  And they dress themselves in garments thought to be religious which are not set forth for ministers to wear in New Testament Bible.   Things are added to their meetings which are not in New Testament Bible such as:  wooden and stone crosses and graven images, pictures of men in long robes which represent spiritual symbols not in New Testament Bible; lighting of candles in religious context not in New Testament Bible.   It is before our eyes today and each of us have New Testament Bibles and therefore we will be held accountable for those things added to the churches and those doctrines which are removed today.   This is the end time apostasy in the churches today.   *****   Ephesians 4:8, 11-12   Wherefore HE (Jesus) saith, When HE ascended up on high, HE led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.   11 And HE gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;  12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

we continue in our celebration of the resurrection of Jesus again this weekend. One of the hymns we will be singing this weekend is a German hymn from the 1700's written by Johann Moller.  This hymn weaves in many New Testament Bible passages and does a beautiful job of showing us what the resurrection of Jesus actually means for us. As we saw two weeks ago, this hymn also begins and ends each verse with the emphatic declaration: "I am content!"  The death and resurrection of Jesus is able to give us greater contentment than the knowledge that He cares for our physical needs. He cares even more about our spiritual needs. To guarantee this Jesus "fulfilled the law of God for me" (v.1). In addition to His perfect life, Jesus also paid our sin debt through His own death on Calvary's cross. Then He rose from the dead, bringing death into subjection to Him and releasing believers from its power.  Jesus is my Lord and is a good and gracious leader and ruler who desires and accomplishing "my soul's release" (v.3), and promises to bring us to Heaven. He is also the Light of the World, which offers sinners "sweet comfort, hope and peace" (v.4). Finally we return to the topic of death. Through His own death, Jesus has sactified death and the grave of His saints, and in the resurrection from the dead will destroy the power of death over His redeemed children. In the resurrection from death "we shall always be with the Lord" (1 Thessalonians 4:17). Yes, "I am content!" The resurrection of Jesus gives the greatest hope and peace!    Join us in our study of this hymn and as we join to sing this hymn in our worship this weekend. Christ's resurrection gives us the greatest contentment of all!

This weekend we continue in our celebration of the resurrection of Jesus in the Season of Easter. One of the hymns we will be singing this weekend is a German hymn from the 1700's written by Christian Gellert.  This hymn weaves in many New Testament Bible passages and does a beautiful job of showing us what the resurrection of Jesus actually means for us. Each verse begins with the emphatic declaration: "Jesus Lives!" and ends with the statement: "This shall be my confidence!" What does the resurrection of Jesus mean? "Death no longer can appal [horrify] me" (verse 1). Because Jesus lives, we will live also. It means "I shall go where He is gone" (v.2). Jesus has finished His work and ascended into heaven. And He will return and bring us there as well. It also means "For me He died" (verse 3) so I will live for Jesus, just as the Apostle Paul says in 2 Corinthians 5:15: “and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again." It means "God will be a sure Defense" (verse 4), and "neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:39). Finally, it means "Now is death but the gate of life immortal" (verse 5). Jesus has defeated death and now it is simply the door which leads us to the presence of our Savior in eternity. Yes, "Jesus lives! This shall be my confidence!" The resurrection of Jesus is not myth. It is not just some historical event. It has significant meaning for us today, and for eternity.    Join us as celebrate the rich meaning of Christ's resurrection from the dead and as join our hearts and lips to give Him praise and glory for that victory over death!
