Tough topic today: Church discipline, judging, and excommunication. Should Christians judge? Should Christians ever expel people from the church? In today's chapter, the apostle Paul will tell us one of the few times a Christian should judge.

Are you spiritual but not religious? Do you like Jesus but have problems with people who claim to follow him? This message is for you.
Why should anyone believe the Bible? Is it accurate history? Or filled with errors and mythology?
If God is loving, why is there so much suffering and evil in the world? We're diving into that question in the first week of this new series.
Today we read about a great conversation between the deacon Philip and a Ethiopian official in the queen's court. Philip engages this man with a friendly question, and this has a discussion with him about a Bible passage, that leads to a discussion about Jesus, that ultimately leads to the Ethiopian official getting saved, and sharing the gospel with an entire people group. What did Philip do in that conversation that we can learn from?

Join me as I help shed some light on the very controversial question on why we as Christian's are not bound by the Law anymore! --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/nate-willcutt/support
We are now beginning a very controversial portion of the Sermon on the Mount. It is not controversial due to whether or not the Lord Jesus is sufficiently clear. No. The text presently before us is controversial due to the nature of the host of theological systems of thought we often bring to the text of God's Word. What was Jesus' attitude toward the Law of God? Does God do away with the Law He gave in the Old Testament? In what way is the Law of God fulfilled? Aren't Christians under grace? How are believers under the New Covenant supposed to relate to God's Law under the New Covenant? We hope to faithfully answer these questions and many more as we unpack this vitally important section of God's Word. My hope, as a pastor, is that God would use this study to transform us as a body and allow us to be used by Him to proclaim the excellencies of His Gospel and His Law. Soli Deo Gloria! Today, we continue our discussion of biblical justice vs social justice. Social justice. Biblical justice. Aren't they essentially the same thing? After all, don't we all want what is right to be done to the least of these. Aren't Christians the very first to pick up the banner of justice and help the downtrodden, the abused, the marginalized? Isn't social justice the very core of biblical justice? What if I were to tell you that by the end of this two part series, you'll be able to answer these questions and more. Joining me in this discussion is Dr. Cal Beisner of the Cornwall Alliance. The Cornwall Alliance is a network of theologians, scientists, economists, and other scholars and leaders work together to promote, primarily through education, three things simultaneously: Biblical earth stewardship, or “godly dominion”, economic development for the world’s poor; and the proclamation and defense of the gospel of Jesus Christ. "...the Gospel I preached, which you received, in which you stand and by which you are being saved." 1 Cor 15: 1-2 Aren't Christians strange? Their Gospel is the only story in which the Hero dies to rescue the villain! But oh!--what Good News that is for us! May we never forget it! May we never let go of it; which, sadly, is what was happening at Corinth. It's happening today as well! This morning Paul tries to prevent that from happening.... Message by Pastor Rod Schorr, Calvary Chapel Old Towne, Orange, CA From his series: First Corinthians: To the Saints in Sin City.

Darren Quinnell continues our evening series "Answering today's culture" but addressing the questions: "Aren't Christians just intolerant, judgemental and hypocritical!?"
Some parts of the bible make sex sound amazing and joyful, other parts give warnings and set boundaries. Why? What's wrong with a little lust - what's wrong with looking as long as you don't touch ? Isn't sex the spice of life ? Aren't Christians overly uptight about Sex anyway ? By way of "The Church Lady", Burkas, and Cosmopolitan Magazine, we take an honest look at the last of the Deadly Sins, the one no one wants to talk about: Lust. New scientific research is revealing that pornography use works like a drug on the brain- actually changing the brain physically, and setting us up for miserable, lonely, unfulfilling sex lives. If you struggle in this area, there is hope for you - things you can do to make a real change. And best of all, we worship the God of second chances, the God who created sex to be rich, sensual, delicious and the celebration feast of true love.
Whether it's pedophile priests, money loving TV evangelists or simply the "christian" at work who everyone knows is the laziest member of the team, few things get our backs up more than religious hypocrisy. So what does Jesus have to say on the subject? His answer might just blow your socks off! www.everyday.org.uk/sermons/jesus-couch/arent-christians-just-bunch-intolerant-hypocrites
Can Christians be too certain about their beliefs? Are Christians prone to overstate their convictions in the name of being faithful? Aren't Christians supposed to be resilient to doubt?
