Have you ever felt torn when you see another church leader fall publicly?Part of you wants to defend the Church, but another part of you knows we can't just sweep sin under the rug. We are seeing headlines everywhere about "Cover-Up Culture," and honestly, it's "trendy", in some instances it may be true, and in some, it may be love seeking to cover. But it leaves us with a really hard question: Is it ever okay to judge? And how do we JUDGE RIGHTLY without being JUDGEMENTAL?We've been taught "Judge not," but does that mean we stay silent when leadership turns toxic? In this episode, my friend Leigh Sloan (Pastor & Author) joins me to have a raw, honest conversation about the difference between being judgmental and exercising righteous judgment. We are peeling back the layers on how to spot the difference between a "mistake" and a "pattern," and how to guard your own heart from bitterness when the leaders you looked up to let you down.Grab your coffee, friend. We need to talk about this. ☕️In this episode, we discuss:Cover-Up Culture: what's the difference between love that covers, and unhealthy cover-upsDiscernment vs. Suspicion: How to know if you are sensing the Holy Spirit or just being critical. The "Lumpy Carpet": What happens when we try to ignore the mess in the church.Restoration: Is it possible for fallen leaders to come back? (And what that might actually look like).Resources Mentioned:Connect with Leigh Sloan: bravenation.onlineCheck out Leigh's content: She is a powerful voice for courage in the Kingdom—go give her some love!✨ HEARING GOD'S VOICE CHALLENGE:Do you want to know clearly when God is speaking to you? In this Q&A-style episode, Coach JK takes four real posts from Threads and expands on the short comment-section answers that rarely leave room for meaningful context. Topics include:- Caffeine and sleep (and what might actually be keeping you up), - How to think through trying a CrossFit gym without relying on stereotypes- The nuance behind the “don't eat before lifting” debate. He also shares a candid perspective for coaches about the kind of audience your content attracts. If you appreciate practical fitness conversations with context and honesty, this episode delivers.-----Instagram: @coachJKmcleodEmail: JK@jkmcleod.com
stop assuming and judging wrongly
This homily addresses the subtle but destructive habit of being judgmental and shows how Christ offers a way to freedom. It explores why we fall into this vice, how it harms our spiritual life, and practical steps to cultivate mercy, humility, and a heart that sees others as God sees them.
Uncritical observation is a way of being with yourself kindly. It's a practice of observing what arises without judgment, and in the process, allowing more grace, space, and peace to enter your inner world.

Are you good enough? Are others good enough? What is good enough? Who decides that? Are you constantly seeking to be the best, in everything you do? Having the highest standards, for yourself and others? Exhausted very much? Pushing people away? Judging yourself and others? Always seeking better? Quality is great. I absolutely LOVE quality. But can it still be good enough with some flaws? Can we still be good enough while we practice? Or when we just want to do something, without really being the best or any good at all? Can we accept that practicing means being shit at things? Listen into an episode about the inner critic, our judgemental minds and how it reflects into our perception of life. Our relationship dynamics and our ability to let people into who we are. Wanna let down your guard and show people who you truly are? You have def come to the right place. This podcast is full of it. For a yoga teacher it's important to be non-judgmental. If you want be successful, it's important to be non-judgmental. Yoga is about being Non-judgemental and discovering that Joy is our Nature.
For bible says he that has no sin let him cast the first stone. Bible also makes us understand that MERCY as it's written triumphs over judgement. Hallelujah Many atimes people tend to see things in their perspective, many see others as sinners while deeming themselves righteous. Remember the story in Luke 18:10 -14 Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other men—extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess. And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.” What is “Being Judgmental”? Being a judgemental person essentially means thinking, speaking, or behaving in a manner that reflects criticizing others, condemning others and their point of view. When we are judgmental we are critically nitpicking and finding fault with another person, group of people, idea, or situation.
Rev. Jesse Mwai challenges us to reflect on the dangers of judgement, urging us to choose kindness, seek clarity, and trust God's plans for others rather than condemning them. #citamchurchonline #ChurchEveryday Get in touch with us: http://www.citam.org/ churchonline@citam.org (+254) 784 277 277 (+254) 728 221 221

Non-judgement allows us to be more attuned to the present moment, instead of worrying about the future or ruminating on the past. When we remove the value-based judgments of our thoughts and remember that they are just thoughts, not facts – we remove their power.

In this episode, Chad and Robert discuss how people outside the church often see it as judgmental or hypocritical, but in the Bible, Jesus was seen as loving, kind, and strong. They dive into finding the balance between standing up for truth and showing grace, encouraging us to represent Jesus well by giving people what they need, not what they deserve, and loving and helping others with humility and wisdom.Subscribe to receive our latest videos!Website: https://www.sunvalleycc.com/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sunvalleycc/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sunvalleycc/Tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@sunvalleyccTo support Sun Valley and help us continue to reach people all around the world click here: https://www.sunvalleycc.com/givingGod loves you no matter who you are, what you've done, or what's been done to you. OUTWEIGH: Comments like “Eat a burger!!” (when someone thinks a person needs to gain weight) or “Are you really going to eat that burger?”(when someone thinks a person needs to lose weight) are not okay. However, these comments happen (sometimes to often), and how we respond is up to us. Licensed therapist, Kat Defatta, joins Amy for this episode and she encourages curiosity over judgment when comments like this come up. Healthy conflict for the win! Have you been limiting yourself?ICYMI, we had a DM sent in from a listener a few weeks ago as she was triggered by Georgie which we unpacked on the poddy. We had the most amazing response from her which we go through in this ep. We also chat about how important it is to be able to hold duality & what it ACTUALLY means when we find ourselves judging other people's priorities and decisions (if you say you don't do that you are lying to yourself
On this week's episode, Jared and Jordana start with a discussion about how every family has a “lazy one” and why they need a travel agent. The first emailer asks how to trust your gut on whether or not you like someone. She lists several reasons she doesn't think they're a match, but is she being too judgmental? The Awkward Sexual Encounter involves an unusual accessory. Later, a listener asks if she should be concerned that her boyfriend never had a “hoe phase.” Do men even think about dating phases like that or is he trying to warm her up for a breakup? J&J advise her on how to address it with him which leads to a conversation about “relationship talk” and emotional maturity. Finally, Jordana is joined by Zoey Deutch to chat about her new movie “Not Okay” and play around of Red Flag or Deal Breaker about lying on your profile, seeing ghosts, and ordering off the kids' menu.
