2020 brought us a lot of unusual things to say the least. Most of the events were bad, that’s fair to say but some interesting opportunities did arise out of the madness of the previous year. One interesting opportunity was getting to experience lower crowds during typically busy times of the year. New Years Eve and Day are always probably the two busiest days of the year but this year, as our friend Jay talks about in his trip report, these days this year were incredibly delightful. For me there are two main things I look forward to on a Walt Disney World vacation. The first is of course being back in the theme parks. The second is getting to stay at a Disney resort. As I get older the latter of the two is something I look forward to more and more. In many aspects the Disney resort might be my favorite part favorite part of the vacation. We’ve talked alot about the reopened theme parks recently but since the resort stay is such a big part of any Walt Disney World vacation I think it’s time to share some opinions on what it’s like to stay at a Disney resort in this new world we live in. When Walt Disney had the idea to create Disneyland the main premise was to create a place where the whole family could have fun. Not a place filled with just attractions for kids. Or a place filled with crazy rides that the young ones couldn’t participate in. But a place that every member of the family could go on and enjoy. Over the years, yes they’ve added quite a bit of attractions that have a height requirement but there are still plenty of options for the entire family to enjoy. It’s weird because with each new attraction that gets announced, especially in the last few years, the majority of them will have a height requirement. So we get super excited about the thrill rides. For many kids the first time they are tall enough to ride Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, or Expedition Everest or Flight of Passage is always a big deal. But there are still so many great options that anyone and everyone can enjoy regardless of their height. And that’s what we are discussing here today. We’ve got our Power Rankings of the best non-height requirement attractions at Walt Disney World. Learn More About This Episode By Visiting The Show Notes Page Here
So when this whole pandemic started we kind of stopped talking about the news here on the WDW Opinion podcast. Mainly because things were constantly changing but also because for a while we knew we just weren’t going to get a whole lot of news coming our way. Today we’re going to try to talk about all of it but rather than just regurgitate the info, we also want to share our opinions on it, hence the name of the show, but also we want to talk to you about how all this info might affect your future Walt Disney World vacations.
