New for 2026 will be Disneyland After Dark 70 Years of Favorites, which Disney describes as “weaving together the best of Disneyland happenings, including nods to favorite musical moments, shows, and characters.” Returning nites include Sweetheart's Nite, Disney Channel Nite, Star Wars Nite, and Pride Nite. Sweetheart's Nite will take place on 9 nights from late January to February 17th, with a new “Celebrate Love Cavalcade” and “Once Upon a Dream – A Musical Journey Through the Disney Songbook” featuring live singers and Disney royalty that ends with a ball underneath the stars. 70 Years of Favorites will take place on March 3rd and 5th, and feature swing dancing at Royal Theatre in Fantasyland, a Videopolis Dance Party at Tomorrowland Terrace, line dancing at The Golden Horseshoe, sentimental photo opportunities, and characters from days gone by. Part of the heart and soul of what originated at Disney-MGM Studios in 1989 was The Magic of Disney Animation. For over a little more than 16 years, it was a place where guests could go to understand and for a time, even watch animation being created. To know the Florida animation studios and The Magic of Disney Animation attraction is to know the story of the last three decades of Disney animation in general. Disney animation is the greatest driver of what makes Disney, Disney. And now with the closure of Star Wars Launch Bay, it is being resurrected. Many guests complain how little of the original Disney-MGM Studios exist today, and yet, Imagineering answered to this by choosing to resurrect The Magic of Disney Animation. Guten Tag, Void! We enter Germany and the dark twisted forests that they are VERY well known for (see almost all fairytales). We get threated by a chameleon, smashed in the face with a frying pan, and tied up in long long long long long long long long blond hair. Apparently in Germany brunettes aren't magical! With their history, I call problematic. But on our adventure, we go with Flynn Rider, the Adonis of all the women at Disney Animation, Maximus the Javer of horses, while running from Ron Pearlman and Gothel, the gaslighting queen. Erin sees a lantern festival and thinks Vampire Diaries, Brennan admits to being a bad person, and the Snuggly Duckling is the pub we most want to visit. In the end, both hosts agree that the hair being unable to grow again is the most unfair and unnecessary detail to Rapunzel's story.
