The digital world's most alarming vulnerabilities take center stage as we dive into how AI is compromising our justice systems and personal privacy. A senior Australian lawyer shocked the court by submitting AI-generated fake legal citations in a murder trial, with both defense and prosecution failing to verify their accuracy—revealing how our cognitive shortcuts create dangerous blindspots when working with artificial intelligence.Privacy breaches continue their relentless march as hundreds of thousands of conversations with Elon Musk's Grok AI chatbot were exposed through Google search results. These breaches, containing sensitive information from drug manufacturing instructions to medical advice, highlight our growing acceptance of data vulnerabilities as the new normal. The question looms: have we become so desensitized to privacy failures that we no longer demand accountability?Meanwhile, a major ransomware attack on kidney dialysis firm DaVita compromised nearly 2.7 million patients' personal and health information, including social security numbers and even images of personal checks. Most troubling was the months-long delay in disclosure, leaving affected individuals vulnerable without their knowledge. On a lighter note, we say goodbye to a technological relic as AOL's dial-up internet service finally powers down after running since 1989, and Nathan shares his ingenious Disney parks hack—booking rides that commonly break down to score unlimited Lightning Lane passes for both Disneyland and California Adventure in a single day.Join us as we examine these technological turning points while enjoying Remus Single Barrel Straight Bourbon Whiskey. Is it time to consider a pay-for-privacy model, or is guaranteed digital security simply another empty promise? This week, Jeff and his pals Julia and Tina talk about 70th birthday week at Disneyland - and what an eventful week it was! Jeff was on property Monday through Friday and has a plethora of reports and reviews, and Tina and Julia were at the resort much of the week as well, so we have a lot to talk about. Jeff's family utilized Lightning Lane Premier Pass for their first full day in the parks, and Jeff reviews the experience, the value, and the important questions to answer before you consider this pricey option. We all were able to watch "Walt Disney - A Magical Life," and we break down the controversy surrounding this brand new show which features an Audio-Animatronic Walt Disney, and offer our own reviews of the attraction. We all also tried the latest version of the World of Color dessert party, and we review the dessert experience as well as the latest World of Color show, "Happiness." All this - and more! I'd love to hear from you! To contact Jeff, email comments@mousetalgia.com.
Send us a textDiving into a multi-generational Disney World adventure, Aaron shares his experience guiding five first-timers through the magic and mayhem of a five-day park excursion. From the moment their flight time changed, throwing off carefully crafted plans, to navigating the complexities of the Skyliner system while teaching others, this episode captures both the carefully orchestrated dance and beautiful chaos that is a family Disney trip. The group's journey through all four parks reveals surprising favorites (Animal Kingdom unanimously won their hearts) and unexpected challenges, particularly the Florida weather that brought daily rainstorms and energy-sapping humidity. Aaron's insider knowledge helped the family navigate everything from booking Extended Evening Hours at Epcot (was it worth the $175 per person?) to making the most of Lightning Lane access across the parks.Food emerges as a highlight throughout their adventure, with Satu'li Canteen in Animal Kingdom earning the unofficial title of "best quick-service restaurant in Disney" for its breakfast offerings. The group's culinary exploration extended to Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue's all-you-can-eat comfort food, croque glace ice cream sandwiches in France, and Chef Art Smith's famous fried chicken at Disney Springs.Beyond ride strategies and dining recommendations, this episode paints a vivid picture of the real Disney experience—complete with transportation dilemmas, getting soaked on Splash Mountain, tormenting each other while flying the Millennium Falcon, and DJ's unexpected star turn in the Hoop-Dee-Doo show. Whether you're planning your first Disney trip or your fortieth, you'll find valuable insights on pacing yourself, managing expectations, and creating memories that last far beyond the park gates. Here's who we are and what is in store for you
Not just a podcast for foodies, but if you're plant based, our guest Melissa has you covered. Find out what the best vegan options at Disney World are, and how Universal compares. Plus a Lightning Lane hack that could get you on even more of your favourite attractions, and the best way to get from MCO to the parks. This week, a new collaboration between Disney and Coke comes to Galaxy's Edge, international merchandise on DisneyStore.com, dining reservations are getting much easier, Oogie Boogie Bash ticket updates, a very special Pacific Northwest Mouse Meet offer, we finish our conversation with Jymn Magon, and more! Please support the show if you can by going to https://www.dlweekly.net/support/. Check out all of our current partners and exclusive discounts at https://www.dlweekly.net/promos. News: The Pacific Northwest Mouse Meet is quickly approaching and we have some details and a special offer for listeners! The 2025 Pacific Northwest Mouse Meet will feature Disney legends Bob Weis, Tim Delaney, and John Musker. Attendees can look forward to themed photo ops celebrating Jungle Cruise, Indiana Jones Adventure, and Pirates of the Caribbean. The event will also offer meals inspired by Bengal BBQ and Skipper's Canteen. There will be expanded Disneyana vendors, cosplay with a parade and prizes, interactive games, pin trading, and trivia. This year marks the event's 15th anniversary, with special surprises planned throughout the weekend. Listeners can get 15% off tickets with promo code DLWEEKLY through July 12—or while tickets last. – https://pnwmousemeet.com/pnw_mouse_meets/2025/ Dining reservations at Disneyland and Walt Disney World are getting better! A new, enhanced availability calendar allows guests to view all available reservations for a location. Guests can also search a date range to see all available reservations at all locations, and guests can sort based on preference, like specific time frames, and nearby locations. – https://disneyparksblog.com/disney-experiences/disney-app-updates-make-booking-dining-reservations-easier/ As of July 1st, a popular attraction will no longer offer Lightning Lane. Pirates of the Caribbean is dropping support for the line reservation system, which should improve standby wait times, and the sprawl caused by the longer, slower moving standby line throughout New Orleans Square. – https://www.micechat.com/418015-disneyland-news-pirates-unplugged-leotas-legacy-bubble-bonanza/ Weeklyteers who want to attend this year's Oogie Boogie Bash still have a chance! Many of the party dates are still available as of the recording of this podcast. Weeklyteers in our Discord chat reported the process to get tickets this year was much easier than in the past. – https://www.micechat.com/418015-disneyland-news-pirates-unplugged-leotas-legacy-bubble-bonanza/ Last week, we spoke about Kim Irvine retiring from Disney. During her retirement party it was revealed that Kim and her mother, Leota Toombs, would be getting a window on Main Street. Getting a window on Main Street is one of the highest honors at Disneyland. The most recent new window on Main Street was for the Make-A-Wish foundation back in 2023. – https://www.micechat.com/418015-disneyland-news-pirates-unplugged-leotas-legacy-bubble-bonanza/ A couple of attractions have returned this week. Pixie Hollow, which has been behind construction walls for a long time has finally reopened with pixie meet and greets. The area is largely unchanged from the previous version, just freshened up. Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room also reopened this week, with the courtyard opening before the attraction. The tiki gods have all been refreshed, with Tangaroa being completely replaced with higher limbs. Inside, the attraction feels brighter, with new LED lightning, but some of the elements of the attraction are still not animated. – https://www.micechat.com/418015-disneyland-news-pirates-unplugged-leotas-legacy-bubble-bonanza/ A new collaboration is coming to Star Wars Galaxy's Edge. Disney has partnered with Coca-Cola to offer 30 specialty cans and bottles of Coke products for purchase, with 3 being only available at Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Star Wars fans can collect their favorite icons, with shows and scenes from the movies, and TV. Fans can then scan cans, bottles, or street advertisements to unlock immersive AR experiences. You can also record a message of hope, inspiration, or encouragement, like a transmission that can be shared as a hologram-style video with your community. – https://disneyparksblog.com/disney-experiences/new-coca-cola-collaboration-celebrates-star-wars-fans/ If you would like your very own tiki bird at home, the Garner Holt Foundation has an option for you. They have launched a Kickstarter campaign to provide animatronic songbird mini kits so Disney fans can make them at home. You can customize the bird, and program it to talk or sing. – https://www.micechat.com/417829-garner-holt-diy-animatronic-bird-kit/ Disney merchandise from Japan and China is unlike anything we have in the domestic parks. DisneyStore.com now has some of the merchandise from those locations online to purchase. Urupocha-chan plush from Japan, and plush releases from China and Japan are available now. There are a lot of other categories of merchandise coming from China and Japan as well. Check out the link in our show notes to see it all! – https://disneyparksblog.com/products/disney-store-japan-plush-and-keychains-coming-to-disneystore-com/ SnackChat: Finish drinks and cold brew reviews Discussion Topic: Jymn Magon – www.jymnmagon.com https://imdb.com/name/nm0536440

Hello and welcome to the Enchanted Ears Podcast, where we discuss anything and everything Disney. This week Disney dropped some updates on the new Cars and Muppets attractions coming to Disney World. How much would you pay to be able to skip every line at Magic Kingdom? $200? $300? $400? Well, Disney's newest Lightning Lane offering (that's like 3 now right?) the Premier Pass offers just that. For around $400, you can get one time access to every major attraction in the Magic Kingdom. But with 19 attractions included, is it even possible to experience them all or is the Premier Pass just another useless Disney upsell. In order to find out, we purchased the Premier Pass during our recent trip to see what you could realistically accomplish in a day and the results surprised even us. This week, Stitch has landed seemingly everywhere, a PhotoPass option has returned, music changes to the esplanade, construction continues around the resort, The Little Man of Disneyland goes on the road, we visit Producer James to play some games, and more! Please support the show if you can by going to https://www.dlweekly.net/support/. Check out all of our current partners and exclusive discounts at https://www.dlweekly.net/promos. News: With the new Lilo & Stitch movie debuting to record numbers, there is a bit more Stitch around than usual. A new Stitch sipper is available at the Galactic Grill for $25.99, which comes with a fountain drink of choice. New Magic Shots featuring Stitch photobombing you at the Main Entrance, and near Sleeping Beauty Castle. In Disney California Adventure, you can be photobombed on Buena Vista Street, the Cloud Wall on the Pixar Pier bridge, and near the waterfall by Grizzly Peak. Finally, there is a chalk mural by artist Pei Jun Tang in Downtown Disney. – https://www.micechat.com/416185-disneyland-update-parades-parties-patriotism-as-summer-starts/ Stitch isn't the only character at Disneyland that is new. Phineas and Pherb are meeting and greeting in the Hollywood Backlot. Agent P joins them on Saturdays only. This is part of the new season premiere on Disney+ and Disney Channel June 5th. – https://www.micechat.com/416185-disneyland-update-parades-parties-patriotism-as-summer-starts/ Last year a new PhotoPass experience premiered at the resort. PhotoPass Excursions are back again! The excursions are 8-15 minute private photo shoots with PhotoPass photographers in Adventureland, Frontierland, Main Street, and Fantasyland. Magic Key Holders with free PhotoPass, guests with Lightning Lane, or with the daily PhotoPass are able to take part. – https://www.micechat.com/416185-disneyland-update-parades-parties-patriotism-as-summer-starts/ Last week, we reported on the music box-style music in the esplanade to go along with the sculpture. This week, the slower music box music has been replaced with a mix of classic Disneyland music, and vocal tracks from the Disneyland 70th celebration. The music box music isn't completely gone though – it plays each night at 10pm as a post-fireworks “kiss goodnight.” – https://www.micechat.com/416185-disneyland-update-parades-parties-patriotism-as-summer-starts/ Even with the Disneyland 70th in nearly full swing, there are still some construction projects happening around the resort. Matterhorn Mountain is getting some pretty extensive track and rock work completed, the Enchanted Tiki Room, along with the Tiki Juice Bar are both behind walls for refurbishment. Mendocino Terrace in Disney California Adventure is still being worked on, while outside in Downtown Disney, Earl of Sandwich is coming along quickly now, and the old Tortilla Jo's is all but leveled. – https://www.micechat.com/416185-disneyland-update-parades-parties-patriotism-as-summer-starts/ The Little Man of Disneyland, Patrick Begorra, is setting off to another land in the park. Patrick is being celebrated at Club 33 with his own menu. He is going on a “Royal Adventure” to New Orleans Square where the menu features cocktails representing the five original lands. The Watchlight, and the Strawberry Streetcar for Main Street, Flights of Enchantment for Fantasyland, Amber Waves of Tea for Frontierland, Neverending Tomorrow for Tomorrowland, and Uncharted Nature for Adventureland. There are also some food options for each of the lands as part of the 70th celebration. All the details are linked in the show notes. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2025/05/23/secret-menu-alert-disney-fans-are-gonna-love-this-exclusive-new-addition/#more-1036451 For Memorial Day in the United States, Disneyland had a few ways to honor the people who gave their lives in service to the country. Tables have been setup around the resort for fallen soldiers, with an empty place setting, reminding guests of the soldiers who did not make it home. The Flag Retreat ceremony in Town Square was larger then usual to honor the day. The Navy's 32nd Street Brass Band performed at Disney California Adventure on the Hollywood Pictures Backlot stage last week to round out the holiday. – https://www.micechat.com/416185-disneyland-update-parades-parties-patriotism-as-summer-starts/ SnackChat: 13 banana bites (new treats added for Savannah Banana Day) – https://disneyparksblog.com/dlr/disney-eats-13-banana-bites-to-celebrate-savannah-bananas-at-disneyland/ Discussion Topic: Games with Producer James

We're back to answer an awesome variety of questions straight from our Facebook page and community group! From practical planning tips to some really fun hypotheticals, this episode is packed with listener-driven content that blends helpful advice with plenty of playful Disney banter. We kick things off by talking about how we personally keep the magic alive in the parks—even after countless visits—and which EPCOT festival stands out as our favorite and why. Jason asked where to find the best quick service and sit-down breakfasts, while Jennifer wanted to know if Lightning Lane is even necessary during the slower days in January. We also take on a fun round of favorites, sharing our go-to snacks and rides in both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, and even admit which Disney characters we crushed on as kids. Longtime listener Anthony asked how the podcast came to be, and what Jeremy does for his brother—something we've mentioned before but never really dug into. Then there's a great question about park hopping and how to make the most of a quick 3- or 4-day trip—perfect for anyone who can't take a full week off. Olivia sent in a deep Disney thought, wondering if all the plates and utensils in Beauty and the Beast were once people… and what happened to them after the curse was lifted? We also dive into nostalgia, talk about our experiences with cast members at Disney vs. Universal, share which rides we wish included PhotoPass, and even get to dream up a ride of our own. And of course, there's a fun magical twist: if each of us got three genie wishes—what would we wish for? With a mix of heart, humor, and helpful tips, this episode is a celebration of you—the Main Street Magic community—and the questions that keep the magic going.MEI-Travel – Expertise. News: An iconic part of Disneyland history – and Disney in general will be getting refurbished soon. Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room closed this week to perform routine maintenance on the lighting, sound, and show. The mighty tree of Tangaroa will be recreated from a high resolution digital scan. The current Tangaroa is no longer able to be repaired, having been there since the attraction opening in 1963. The attraction will reopen later this summer. – https://www.laughingplace.com/disney-parks/tangaroa-tree-be-rebuilt-during-upcoming-refurbishment-walt-disneys-enchanted-tiki-room-disneyland/ https://www.micechat.com/146135-rolly-crump-impostor-syndrome-part-2/ Tour dates are open for the new guided tour coming to Disneyland for the 70th anniversary. A Story of Celebration: 70th Anniversary Guided Tour is a 2-hour guided walking tour, which includes a ride aboard the Mark Twain, Disneyland Railroad, a Lightning Lane for a select attraction, reserved viewing for Paint the Night, which includes popcorn, and a tour keepsake. The price is $120 per guest. Reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance and are highly recommended. WALL-E was in the lobby of the Pixar Place Hotel roaming around and greeting guests. He also opened up his storage compartment to share the plant, potted in the boot, just like in the movie! – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2025/04/24/dear-disney-we-are-begging-for-this-rare-character-meet-and-greet-to-become-permanent/ As we reported on previously, some permits have been filed with the Anaheim Planning and Building Department in relation to Porto's coming to Downtown Disney. We talked about removing the two ticket booths from the esplanade, but did not mention the permit to tear down the existing building – currently home to Earl of Sandwich. No timeline on the permits, but this is forward progress. – https://www.micechat.com/413960-disneyland-news-portos-permits-construction-walls-star-wars/ Once again, Disneyland Cast Members were invited to create upcycled art projects to be shown off to guests for Earth Month. This time, the creations, ranging from a Haunted Mansion created from cardboard pizza boxes, to Maleficent in dragon form made from plastic cutlery. The display is under the Silly Symphony Swings for guests to enjoy. – https://www.micechat.com/413960-disneyland-news-portos-permits-construction-walls-star-wars/ This week, the Disney Parks Blog recognized a cast member who brings joy to countless (or not so countless) guests. Antonio has been working at the Disneyland Resort for 18 years, and has received over 735 cast compliments from guests. Antonio works at Pixar Pier attractions and before Disneyland, worked for nearly 10 years in hospitality in Dubai and Qatar. Antonio's rise to fame is in part due to his exuberant energy and fun dance moves for guests! – https://disneyparksblog.com/dlr/dancing-disneyland-resort-cast-member-inspires-happiness/ Last week, we talked about recycling your food scraps at Disneyland. Since then, little droids have appeared on top of food scraps containers to remind guests that only food scraps should be deposited in the bin they are standing on. – https://www.micechat.com/413960-disneyland-news-portos-permits-construction-walls-star-wars/ A new way to checkout at Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta has arrived. A kiosk for guest self-checkout has been installed. The system scans the items on the tray, adds it up, and asks for payment. Currently, Magic Key discounts must involve a cast member, and payment can only be made with credit or debit card. – https://www.micechat.com/413960-disneyland-news-portos-permits-construction-walls-star-wars/ Weeklyteers who may be in the parks starting May 9th should know that it is Grad Nite season at the resort again, and park hours may be impacted. This year, there is some new, more generic graduation merchandise available for purchase. – https://www.micechat.com/413960-disneyland-news-portos-permits-construction-walls-star-wars/ SnackChat: New food items coming to the resort – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2025/04/24/disney-just-announced-23-new-treats-are-coming-next-week/#more-1028273 Discussion Topic: Michael Holland host of From Out of the Past Podcast https://www.instagram.com/fromoutofthepastpodcast https://linktr.ee/hollandimaginarium https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZK7GRiUhhB8 https://www.youtube.com/@AlextheHistorian

This week, Len Testa and Jim Hill dig into one of the strangest goofs in Disney history—how the restaurant inside Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom was originally named after the wrong king, and why it took over two decades (and a flood of guest complaints) to finally correct it. Also in this episode: The King Stefan Banquet Hall Backstory – Why Imagineering picked the wrong king in the first place—and how nobody caught it before opening day. Dave Smith and John Hench's Awkward Phone Call – The archivist and the Imagineer have a polite, slightly painful conversation about medieval royalty. The 25th Anniversary Castle Cake Fallout – Why complaints about the Pepto-Bismol pink castle pushed Disney to rethink the restaurant's name. How Cinderella's Royal Table Was Finally Born – And how it became one of the most popular (and profitable) restaurants in all of Walt Disney World. Listener Questions and More – Updates on Disney and Universal surveys, Lightning Lane changes, and Epic Universe tips. It's a story of castles, kings, and the longest game of "whoops" in Disney Parks history. Pride Nite – in our opinion one of the best after hours events – tickets will go on sale April 16th for Magic Key Holders, and April 17th for general admission. This year, Pride Nite itself takes place on June 16th and 18th. – https://mickeyblog.com/2025/04/10/disneyland-after-dark-pride-nite-tickets-go-on-sale-soon/ Weeklyteers who aren't a fan of a headband style create your own headwear now have an alternative! Guests can now create their own HAT instead! The hat is black with the D resort logo on the front, also in black. All the existing plushes that you can add to the headbands can be added to the hat as well. The hat itself is $14.99 and can be purchased at the Mad Hatter on Main Street, or at World of Disney in Downtown Disney. – https://mickeyblog.com/2025/04/13/get-a-new-create-your-own-hat-at-the-disneyland-resort/ One of our favorite Imagineers will be featured in an upcoming documentary about their life and legacy. “Bob Gurr: Living by Design” will premiere at the Alex Theatre in Glendale on April 26th to a red carpet arrival with celebrity guests, and a Q&A after with Bob himself! Doors open at 5:30pm and the film begins at 7pm. The event is scheduled to last 2 hours and 40 minutes, including the intermission and Q&A. Visit the link in the show notes to get tickets! – https://www.micechat.com/413124-bob-gurr-disney-legend-movie-premiere/ A small thing at Disneyland that we have been following is the sign at the Jolly Holiday on Main Street. When the location reopened recently from its refurbishment, there was a temporary sign covering the popcorn lights underneath. The temporary sign has been removed, and the decorative elements have returned, but the popcorn lights are still problematic. – https://www.micechat.com/413111-disneyland-news-crowds-construction-bob-gurr-star-wars-nite/ For the past 66 years, the Ernest S Marsh locomotive has taken guests around Walt Disney's Magic Kingdom. What you may not know is that it is much older than that! For 100 years the locomotive has been in operation and Disneyland has commemorated this with green 100 year celebration flags on the front of the locomotive. – https://www.micechat.com/413111-disneyland-news-crowds-construction-bob-gurr-star-wars-nite/ There are some small things happening around the resort that we wanted to mention. “it's a small world's” return has been delayed until May 9th. A new permit for Porto's includes the removal of two of the ticket booths in the esplanade to make room for the expanded location. Also, there was some testing on Lightning Lane removal from Pirates this week.
