Strap in for a magical tour as we recount our Disney adventures, from a not-so-spooky night at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party to savoring Brazilian cheese bread at Skipper Canteen. We cover the latest Disney news, including the return of Winnie the Pooh at Epcot and the enchanting scale model of Disneyland at Walt Disney Presents. And oh, the Luminous Dining Package at Spice Road Table and Rose and Crown is worth a mention! The party doesn't end there; we take you on a virtual resort hopping adventure, narrating our exhilarating experiences at All Star Movies, Disney's Treehouse Villas, and more. We also introduce you to our friend Lance from Nomad Lounge and Abracadabra, share our insights from the Hoop De Doo Review, and paint a vivid picture of our day at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. Finally, express our shared love for Joffrees, and envision our plans for a VIP dining experience to skip the line for the next Fantasmic show. How can you make the Mickey while Podcast even better? We wrap up the episode with a discussion on how to support the show. So, buckle up, subscribe, like, follow, and ring the bell for a captivating Disney journey!
This week, Mollie Swendrowski shares the story of her ceremony at Italy Plaza in EPCOT, celebration at Ariel's at the Yacht & Beach Club, and dessert party at Terrace des Fleurs in EPCOT. Creating a memorable, unique experience for her guests was one of Mollie's top priorities, and today she talks about how she and Adam were able to do that on a strict budget. This includes cutting all floral decor at the ceremony and reception, making her own personal floral from the pages of Harry Potter books, and holding their first dances at the ceremony venue to eliminate the need for a musician or DJ at the celebration. Mollie also shares the details of their economical welcome party at Animal Kingdom's Nomad Lounge. Click here to see ALL the photos!
Disney World And Beyond with The Gold Key Adventurers Society
Beating The Heat at Disney World This week, the Gold Key Adventurers Society gathers to share some tips on how to beat the heat while visiting Walt Disney World in Florida during the peak summer season. To avoid the scorching heat, we suggest going to the parks early in the morning and late in the evening, taking breaks during the middle of the day, and spending time at the pool when it's hottest. For those staying overnight or longer, choosing to stay at a Walt Disney World resort hotel can enhance the overall experience by taking advantage of early entry and extended park hours, and hopping between parks to avoid the heat from the hottest ones, such as Animal Kingdom and Epcot. When it comes to seeking ways to escape the heat, we share with listeners the various indoor attractions that provide a good respite. The Magic Kingdom has indoor attractions like PhilharMagic and Enchanted Tales with Belle. In Epcot, indoor options like Living with the Land and The Three Caballeros boat ride are recommended. In Hollywood Studios, the light show at night is beautiful as is Toy Story Midway Mania. We also share our favorite cooling gear for staying comfortable and suggest using handheld fans, lightweight, rechargeable fans, and cooling neck gaiters. We also caution listeners against spending too much on overpriced cooling towels and suggest using a bandana or wet ball cap. Additionally, we share fun facts about the Disney parks, including some history and trivia. We also discuss some of our favorite pools and water attractions in Walt Disney World, including Stormalong Bay and the Big Blue Pool. We even suggest finding rest and respite at pool bars and sit-down meals on the hot days. We emphasize the importance of staying on-site to quickly return to the resort and avoiding traveling off-property during peak season. For those looking to relax and avoid the heat on Florida's hottest summer days, some tips include arranging for preferred parking or utilizing the Skyliner. We also recommend indulging in some treats like Dole Whip or a citrus swirl, and drinks from Trader Sam's, and the pool bars at Riviera and Nomad Lounge. We also discuss an upcoming Indiana Jones movie and share some alternative options for cooling down, taking a humorous note in the popular song and making a funny joke. We close the show with some recommendations for staying hydrated while visiting theme parks and for avoiding heat stroke and dehydration. We suggest bringing water bottles or simply asking for water at quick serve counters. We also discuss drinking electrolyte beverages like Powerade or smart water for salt replenishment. And we remind our listeners that it's important to stay cool and not party too hard during the hot Florida summers, and to take breaks when necessary. So go out there, follow these tips and have a great time at Walt Disney World! As always, a huge thank you to our sponsor, Key to the World Travel. It's Earth Day this week at Disney's Animal Kingdom. While that may not make any more sense than year long anniversaries at Disney that run 18 months, the good news is that there is time to check out all things conservation if you're near Walt Disney World. If not, then this video and/or podcast is perfect for you, as we explore a number of things associated with the messages of Earth Day to include a newly updated book for Disney, efforts to bring a love of nature to children's hospitals, baby mandrills, new 360 photos, sand sculptures and of course cupcakes. Every celebration at Disney's Animal Kingdom has cupcakes, and this one has three! You can't have a celebration at Disney's Animal Kingdom without cupcakes. Plus we check out and do a review of two trips made to Nomad Lounge. Lots to talk about this week, from Pandora to the new Festival of the Lion King as it returns next month. Join us!

In this bonus episode, we tell you why Nomad Lounge (at Tiffin's restaurant) is a must-do on your next visit to Animal Kingdom. Two words: bread service. And don't sleep on their churros. They stayed at Pop Century and the Cabins at Fort Wilderness Campground. Emily tells how taking a reserved 2 year old princess differs from last year’s enthusiastic Donald lover! Judy describes how to entertain an adult who is not Disney crazy like she is. img class="aligncenter wp-image-8122 size-full" src="http://mousechat.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/disney-world-top-lounges.jpg" alt="Top Disney World Lounges" width="480" height="406" /> Disney World's Best Lounges These are the Walt Disney World lounges that we love to visit. There are a bunch of new lounges now at Walt Disney World in the Disney Parks and also in the Disney World Resorts. If you are traveling to Walt Disney World as a group, a Disney convention, or maybe you just want a Disney World date night. These are our favorite lounges at Walt Disney World. These are the Disney World Lounges we Love! Our First Disney Lounge in no specific order is... The Nomad Lounge at Tiffin's in Disney's Animal Kingdom - This lounge is close to Pandora at Disney's Animal Kingdom and we rate this as the best lounge on Disney Property. The indoor lounge is beautiful and has great food selections and drink selections of course. There is also a wonderful outdoor seating area that wraps around the building and is private and overlooks the river. At night you can hear the sounds from Pandora from here. The lounge staff is helpful and laid back. You can get a table and talk, relax, and enjoy yourself. Our next Disney World Lounge is Tutto Gusto Wine cellar at EPCOT's Italy pavilion. This Disney World Lounge is in an Italian wine cellar and it's dark, quite and hidden. We walked in from a Summer day in Epcot and the lounge is cool and refreshing. Your staff is from Italy and will offer you wine and cheese selections to choose from. If you want a tucked away place to relax and get away from the heat or rain from your walk around World Showcase, Tutto Gusto is your lounge. There is a wine flight with 2 oz pours that lets you try several different wines. Also we enjoy the meat and cheese platters and have some favorite cheeses that we cover on our Disney podcast. Our next Disney Lounge is Mizner's Lounge at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. The lounge is almost hidden behind the band. The lounge is small and maybe seats 25 people. This lounge is not really a place for a conversation with the band so close. If you are looking for a Disney Resort Lounge this one fits perfectly. You can also order off the Citrico's Appetizer and dessert menu. Free at Walt Disney World Get our list of things you can do for free at Walt Disney World.
