ALPHA HOUR EXHORTATION & PROPHETIC PRAYERS – EPISODE 689
There are many times the Bible informs us of conditional blessings. These are places in Scripture where God says, “If you will, then I will.” We need to pay attention to the conditional blessings listed in Scripture because there are quite a few of them.Main Points:1. Sometimes, as a father, I bless my children simply because I love them. I do things for them, I surprise them, and I'm generous with them for no reason at all but that it gives me joy. I'm confident God does this, too.2. We should also pay attention to the conditional blessings of God. Be watching for where the Word of God says, “If you will, then I will.”3. Meditate on this truth today: The obedient life is a blessed life.Today's Scripture Verses:Proverbs 16:20 - “Whoever gives heed to instruction prospers, and blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord.”Deuteronomy 28:1-2 - “If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God.”Psalm 1:1-3 - “Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers.”Quick Links:Donate to support this podcastLeave a review on Apple PodcastsGet a copy of The 5 Minute Discipleship JournalConnect on SocialJoin The 5 Minute Discipleship Facebook Group

When we say "bless you" to someone, what do we really mean? Oftentimes, we use the word "bless" very carelessly. However, we have the opportunity to bless God, bless others, and even things (like a worship service) if God approves of them and is involved in them.Donate: https://store.intouch.org/donate/generalSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

There are a number of attributes of God that we routinely praise him for. He shows his people kindness, grace, and mercy; yet he does not neglect justice and righteousness. In all of this, he is always faithful and true. One of the greatest attributes God has, though, is his consistency. He never changes. He is not full of grace on Tuesday and justice on Friday. Yet, even with all his consistency, we still stand quite surprised by his choices and actions, and this is no less true with the sons of Jacob. Today we get to hear about the unexpected blessing of God; not just for Israel, but likewise for us. 1. The priority of God’s blessing is unexpected 2. The people of God’s blessing is unexpected 3. The pinnacle of God’s blessing is unexpected

God desires to bless His people; others cannot prevent His blessings but only we can halt His blessings in our lives.
The sermon centers on the indispensable role of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer, emphasizing that true Christian living is not defined by human effort or moral performance, but by surrender to the empowering presence of the Holy Ghost. Drawing from Scripture—particularly Luke 1:35, Acts 10:38, and Ephesians 4:30—it affirms that the Holy Spirit is the source of spiritual empowerment, character transformation, spiritual gifts, divine guidance, intimate fellowship with God, bold witness, and lasting joy and peace. The preacher calls believers to move beyond a superficial faith, urging them to yield fully to the Spirit's control, reject self-reliance, and embrace a life where God's power is visibly manifested in personal transformation, relational healing, and supernatural breakthroughs. The message is both convicting and hopeful, challenging Christians to stop relying on their own strength and instead access the boundless power of God through the indwelling Spirit, while also extending an urgent invitation to the unconverted to place their faith in Christ for eternal salvation.

Ephesians 1:3, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ." While the world hungers after fleeting vanities, the believer possesses imperishable riches—secured in Heaven, reserved by God, and flowing freely through the sufferings and death of Jesus: from pardon of sin--to peace with God; from salvation by grace--to a priceless eternal inheritance. In Christ, we are blessed with: election before the foundation of the world, redemption through His sin-atoning blood, adoption into the family of God, justification by grace, sanctification by the Spirit, and the hope of eternal glory. These blessings are not wages earned, but gifts bestowed: flowing from the sovereign love of the Father in eternity past, accomplished by the Son on the cruel cross, and applied by the Spirit in regeneration and sanctification.Temporal blessings may come and go—health may fail, wealth may vanish, relationships may change—but the spiritual blessings given in Christ are unshakable and everlasting. Even our trials are transformed into mercies, in the hands of our wise and loving God, who uses them to refine our faith and draw us nearer to Himself.Let our gratitude rise—not chiefly for the gifts—but for the Giver Himself. Let us live as those who are truly blessed: seeking first His kingdom, treasuring His promises, and rejoicing in His unsearchable riches."Praise the Lord, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise His holy name. Praise the Lord, O my soul, and do not forget any of His benefits!" Psalm 103:1–2
