Summary This conversation centers on the revelation that Christ is already present within us, and His coming is not just a future event but an ongoing dawning in the hearts of believers. The family describe how awareness of His presence grows progressively, like the rising sun, bringing transformation and deeper understanding. Rather than waiting for fulfillment through an outward event, believers are called to embrace the process of His life being formed within them now. God's timing unfolds according to His purpose, often hidden, but always moving toward the manifestation of a people who reflect Him. This work begins within—through a creative, transformative judgment that shapes believers into His workmanship. As hearts remain open and focused on Him, His kingdom continues to emerge, revealing that everything needed already resides within. The call is simple: recognize His presence, stay open, and allow Him to fully manifest His life through you. Show Notes Christ in you is the hope of glory—a present and growing reality, not just a future expectationThe meaning of hope as “truths yet to be delivered” unfolding within usHis coming described as adawning revelation, like the rising sun in the heartGrowing awareness thatGod has already come and is manifesting Himself within His peopleThe “Tribulation” as a period of God pouring out His presence on all who will receive HimGod's timing is deliberate and often hidden, unfolding according to His purposeIncreased awareness of the spiritual realm and His daily presenceJudgment beginning in the house of the Lord as acreative, transformative workBecoming His workmanship and the worshipers He desiresThe importance of returning focus to God and walking out thefirst commandmentLetting go of the need for outward fulfillment and embracing theprocess of transformationThe mind as a limitation versus the Spirit's unlimited realityCreating an atmosphere for His presence through opennessRealizing that we are theArk of the Covenant, containing His Word and powerThe kingdom dawning rapidly within us—change happening now, not later Key Quotes “Christ in you is the hope of glory.”“The definition of hope is truths yet to be delivered.”“It's that dawning… that revelation that starts dawning on your heart, and it grows.”“I believe that proves He's already here.”“He comes in us and reveals Himself to us in such a great measure.”“God does have a timing.”“The judgment that begins in the house of the Lord is creative. His presence is already within, growing and revealing itself as hearts open to Him. Instead of striving for a future moment of fulfillment, believers are invited to embrace the ongoing process of transformation, trusting God's timing and allowing His life to fully emerge. In this message, Pastor Seth unpacks a powerful and often misunderstood truth: you can connect with God through creation—but creation was never meant to replace the Creator. Starting in John 20, where Mary encounters the resurrected Jesus and mistakes Him for a gardener, we see something profound—the first picture of resurrection is found in a garden. This moment reveals that God has always used creation not just as a backdrop, but as a way to reveal Himself and speak to His people. We break down three core purposes of creation: Creation testifies of God, glorifies God, and connects us to God. From the precision of the universe to the worship of the heavens, everything in creation points back to Him—not to itself. At the same time, we confront a growing cultural distortion. In a world where people are turning to astrology, crystals, and “the universe” for guidance, Scripture is clear: when creation leads back to you, it becomes idolatry—but when it leads you to God, it becomes worship. This message brings both clarity and invitation. If you've felt spiritually dry, it may not be distance—it may be that you haven't discovered how you were designed to connect with God. You'll walk away with practical ways to encounter Him in everyday moments—whether you're on a trail, in your backyard, or simply paying attention. Because God is not silent in creation… the question is: are you listening?

Six thousand years of biblical history. Ten weeks. One story. In this first message of the Story of God series from Save the Cowboy Ministry, we open Genesis 1–7 and discover that Jesus doesn't just show up in the New Testament — He's on the very first page, walking and talking with man from the moment of creation. Four thousand years before the cross, God established a pattern that runs through every chapter of human history. Once you see it, you'll never read the Bible the same way again. Man Rebels…Rebels Destroyed…Righteous Saved…Start Over. Three threads run through every week of this series: Jesus walking and talking with man from Genesis forward — not symbols, but literal presence The sacrifice thread that begins in Eden and ends at the cross The Big Pattern of rebellion and rescue playing out in your life right now In this episode: Why Jesus was present at creation — before Bethlehem, before the cross What the knowledge of good and evil was really about — and why it still applies today Why the first death in human history was an animal, not a man, and what that means How God closing the door of Noah's ark tells us everything about how He still works The Big Pattern in full — from Eden to the flood and what it means for you Scripture References: Genesis 1–7 | Genesis 7:16 | Genesis 8:21 | John 1:1–3 This week's reading: Genesis 1–7 This is Week 1 of a 10-week series. This message explores how we can connect with God through creation, recognizing that everything He made points back to Him. Rooted in John 1, it reveals that Jesus is the source of all creation and the true light of the world. As we slow down, pay attention, and engage with what God has made, we can encounter His presence, hear His voice, and grow spiritually—while keeping our focus on the Creator, not the created.
Synopsis: Van Til said that culture is religion externalized. The religion of the city of man is contrasted with the city of God by their cultural endeavors. While the city of man sings songs defiantly taunting God and His creation, the city of God proclaims the name of the Lord. Sermon Text: Genesis 4:17-26
This message calls us to behold the greatness of God revealed in creation, urging us to be still amid life's chaos and find confidence, meaning, and love in the Creator who powerfully formed the universe and personally fashioned us, ultimately displaying His love through Christ.

Sermon on Genesis 1:1--2:4a. This is the first sermon in our fall sermon series called Blessings of God.As we kick off the fall, we'll look at the foundational stories of Israel through the lens of gratitude and blessing. With each step of the journey taken by God's people, they encounter another blessing God offers them. Some are obvious; others are disguised by circumstance. Through this series, we'll begin to see the blessings God gives us today. In this sermon, we explore how as God's image bearers, we are stewards of God's creation, called to love God's world and one another.
The creation story in the Bible is filled with God's proclamations of good. He created and it was good! Learning to embrace God's proclamation that you are good and made in his image is healthy and necessary for all of us.

When we open our Bibles to Genesis, most of us—especially as Westerners, bring a question to the text: "How was the world made?" We want mechanics, timelines, and blueprints. However, that is not what the original audience was asking. They were not modern scientists—they were ancient worshipers, living in a world full of temples, gods, and cosmic drama. Genesis 1 was written into that world—a world filled with creation myths from Egypt, Babylon, and Canaan. Today, I want to walk us through the creation account in Genesis 1 and 2 through Ancient Near Eastern eyes, so we can hear what they heard, feel what they felt, and worship the way they would have.
Scripture: Genesis 1:1-2:3 Key Takeaways: “Today as I read Genesis 1–2 my thoughts go to high school biology and physics. How does the biblical depiction of creation relate to the big bang theory and evolution? No doubt, Genesis 1–2 has bearing on our evaluation of these modern scientific accounts of cosmic and human origins. But a moment's thought will jar us into remembering that this comparison would not have occurred to ancient authors and readers. It is certain that the biblical account of creation was not written to counter Charles Darwin or Stephen Hawking, but it was written in the light of rival descriptions of creation...Since God's people were constantly tempted to worship the deities of other nations, we shouldn't be surprised that the biblical accounts of creation were shaped in such a way as to provide a clear distinction from those of other nations.” – Tremper Longman III, How to Read Genesis + Creation is God bringing cosmos out of chaos + Creation is framing and filling + Creation is God revealing himself Romans 1:20 - Declares the glory of God Psalm 19:1-2 - Displays the wisdom of God + Creation is God's good gift to us + God brings about the new creation like he brought about the first creation 2 Corinthians 4:4-6

As we tell the Story of God in our next teaching series, we thought it'd be fun to spend time on the podcast diving into some of the recurring themes and tracing how they're mentioned throughout the Bible so that we can understand that God's story didn't just happen... it's still happening in our lives. In this first week, Hunter and Garrick talk about John Grisham, Genesis 1:1-2:3, and how being creative is more than just a vocational call.
"Creation ex nihlilo (creation out of nothing) or "Ex nihilo nihil fit" (from nothing comes from nothing)? The notion of a creator God is fundamental to Western religions. But is it true? The opening of Genesis in the Hebrew Bible, studied so long and hard by the Kabbalists suggests so, and the Big Bang theory gave reason for many to believe the cosmological argument for God (everything that began to exist has a cause). But the newest scientific data suggests something preceded the Big Bang. And in our secular age, many prefer to follow the science, rightly so.Planet Earth, the sun, our galaxy, and the universe itself, like all of us, is headed for the graveyard. But cycles of nature appear everywhere. Could this also be true of the universe itself? Does the universe resurrect? This episode explores the question in detail. Support the show
