Self-Composer/Producer/Audio Engineer, Eddie Bower stops by Uncontained to talk about some exciting projects that he is working on including co-writing the score to the new Dragon Ball Z Light of Hope. We also talk about the road he took to get to where he is now. Eddie Bower (BMI) began his music industry career in 1999 as a Traffic Manager for radio station WABB-FM in Mobile, Alabama. After 3 years; he was let go and left to ponder if his career was over before it started. While living in a hotel room with his dad, he harnessed his musical skills and produced a local hip-hop act that opened for Ludacris in 2003. Moving back to L.A. shortly thereafter, he quickly discovered that he was a “small fish in a BIG pond!” Knowing that he needed more, he decided to attend Musicians Institute (http://www.mi.edu) in ’05. After graduating from MI’s Audio Engineering program in 2006, he was hired as Chief Engineer for multi-platinum producer George "G-One" Archie (R. Kelly, DJ Quik, Raphael Saadiq) and has worked with such artists as WC, Tank, Darius McCrary, Yukmouth, and Greg Phillinganes (Michael Jackson) as well as the 2007 HBO documentary Bastards of the Party (directed by Antoine Fuqua). He was hired shortly after at MI as a Studio Session Supervisor before becoming a full-time Audio Engineering Instructor in 2010, awarded with Audio Engineering Instructor Of The Year. Now entering his 10th year, he has taught a variety of audio engineering classes, Instructor Certified in ProTools, has written and developed MI’s Reason 9 curriculum, & is currently developing a MIDI orchestration class. Always looking for “more” opportunities; Eddie is as hungry as ever. A seasoned professional with a work ethic to match, it’s only a matter of time. All music in this episode courtesy of Eddie Bower https://www.facebook.com/edward.towner.9@eddiebowermusic(Instagram)@eddiebowermusic (Youtube)@eddiebowermusic (Twiter)https://www.facebook.com/RobotUnderDog/#EddieBower #EddieBowerMusic #Composer #GhettoComposer #AudioEngineer #Producer #Compton #DragonBallZ #DeadPool #MusicInstute #Uncontained #UncontainedPod #Podcast #PodcastLover #LiveUncontained See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
