W/C 10th November 2025The morning after the night record, and I am not sure that it was anger I was feeling or a sense of frustration, we don't get many cracks at this which is why they have to count. We are way past the point of thinking that we are going to evolve into the place we need to be, and in too many ways we are clinging to something that is just way past its sell by date. Of course there are reasons, and there are far too many interested parties that have the ability to influence and drip-feed a narrative. That doesn't mean they are right.Because a change in direction is way overdue, we are going to experience some bumps and it will be costly. We are all going to be in it together. But if we don't we are risking something far worse for the generations that follow. It's time to be brave, and talk about where we truly are.Stay safe.Hope the High Road - Jason Isbell and the 400 UnitRobert HarrisTherapy For Me (or TFM as I now refer to it) is a bit of an audio curiosity. W/C 3rd November 2025I want to shout out to all those of you that regularly comment on TFM, comments that I always read but because I read them whilst I am dashing around hardly ever respond to. Actually that is worthy of an apology, so let's start by apologising for not responding to most of the comments I get, but confirming that I do read them all.So this goes out to Christine (invariably the first to listen & comment), Linda (always includes a Allen family insight), Brian (fast becoming a top five responder), Melissa and Kerry (both often a week behind the rest of the pack), Simon (always some Blades based reassurance), Susie (most dedicated newbie), Rita, Michael, Paul & Adam (insights from across the pond) and of course Shane (keeper of the records).I will of course apologise to all those regulars I have missed next week, as names come flooding back to me over the course of the day.And if you would like to comment, then head over to Patreon and check out the episodes there. W/C 27th October 2025A chance for a good ol' bit of hair rock this walk as I believe I am welcoming Mr Big to the TFM artist roster for the first time. They became well known because of the ballad To Be With You which went to the top of the UK charts in 1991, but the essence of the band was hard rock. This song appears on the first album, and is a great example of where they were at.If you want another MB recommendation, then check out Green Tinted Sixties Mind which has the most amazing intro guitar riff.Stay safe.Take a Walk - Mr Big Christian Payne AKA DocumentallyTherapy For Me (or TFM as I now refer to it) is a bit of an audio curiosity. No ifs, buts or maybes. No excuses. No shoulda coulda woulda. Scott Robertson needs to come home from the Northern tour undefeated. 4 zip. Grand Slam in tow. Am I expecting too much? Hell no. This is Razor's mid-term exam. After being awarded a 4 year contract by NZR, an oddity in itself, the faith must be repaid. Repaid to the NZR but most importantly to the fans. Granted, World Cup victory is the ultimate measure of any international rugby team's worth, a multitude of 4-year cycle result sins can be erased with success in one tournament, but NZ rugby fans won't wait that long to taste Razors pudding. The proof of his tenure's success is how tasty the spoonful is at the end of this tour. Soured by only one defeat will leave us all asking questions of the chef. This is a mini–World Cup. The last pool game, then a quarter, a semi and the final. Not that the Welsh will be in the WC final but hey. Short of the locks, this team is the best that the AB's can muster. Their edge has been keenly sharpened on the whetstone of a pulsating and competitive Rugby Championship. They've had a couple of weeks off to breathe and reset, a swag of cavalry has returned and now we wait to see if Robertson has unlocked the door to international coaching success. He's had a couple of years. He's trialled many a player, many a game plan. He's had his share of failures, the much maligned fourth quarter impotence for example, his inability to retain coaching staff, and he oversaw arguably the worst 40 minutes of All Black rugby in recent memory, the horror show in Wellington against the Springboks. So he's been given rope, plenty of rope, what's he going to do with it? Tie himself in knots, fashion a noose, who knows. I do know though, that 4 nil is a necessity for this side and this coach, and no correspondence will be entered into. Scott Robertson needs to come home from the Northern tour undefeated. By defeating Bangladesh Women 2-1 it consigned the Tigers to the WC qualifiers alongside the West Indies, Pakistan, Scotland, Ireland and Thailand. Today on Scottsdale Vibes, we're shining a light on women who are making real change in our community. I'm joined by Kira Peters and Holly Amend from The Women's Collective to talk about their mission to elevate women leaders - and their upcoming Night Run: Sunset 5K for Charity that helps make it all happen. But First , The Scottsdale housing market is always changing, and no one keeps a closer eye on it than local realtor Shawn Shackelton. She's here to share what's happening in the market right now, which neighborhoods are heating up, and how new developments are impacting property values across Scottsdale. In 2018, five women came together with a vision: to help more women rise into executive leadership roles. That vision has grown into The Women's Collective - a dynamic, all-volunteer nonprofit built on connection, mentorship, and empowerment. Through their programs and fundraising, The WC has awarded nearly $100,000 in grants to local organizations that help women advance in leadership and achieve their goals. And now, they're inviting the community to lace up their running shoes and join them for The Night Run: Sunset 5K for Charity, happening November 8th along the Arizona Canal in Scottsdale. W/C 20th October 2025I picked the episode title before I sat down to watch the football. After a really difficult start to the season, a lot of which was self inflicted, over the last week it looked like the Blades had perhaps turned a corner. Back to back wins, and we had moved out of the bottom three. So when we went 2-0 up in the first twenty minutes last night, in a bid for reassurance I made the mistake of checking a stat about our opponents Preston. Big mistake. It turns out that by looking back to check the last time they had managed to score three goals in a game, the act itself pretty much guarantees that will be the outcome. As so it came to pass.Stay safe.Crashing Down - Del AmitriTherapy For Me (or TFM as I now refer to it) is a bit of an audio curiosity. Think Dutch is only for Amsterdam? We open the map with David Durham to show how far Dutch actually travels—across the Netherlands, Flanders in Belgium, Aruba and Sint Maarten, and Suriname—and why a few phrases can turn strangers into allies. We start with the essentials you'll say every day: dag for hello and goodbye, formal and informal thank‑yous, and the subtle shift from u to jij that earns instant respect. Then we build your toolkit for trains, airports, hotels, and restaurants so you can ask clearly, pay gracefully, and leave on a warm note.We get practical fast. You'll learn how to ask Waar is… for the WC, het station, de bushalte, and het restaurant, how to order koffie met melk and thee like a local, and how to request de rekening alstublieft without fumbling. We cover apologies and honesty with Het spijt me and Ik spreek geen Nederlands, plus the simple I don't understand: Ik versta het niet. Numbers one to ten click into place, and you'll know when to use tot ziens versus a friendly doei. Along the way, David breaks down de vs het articles, sheds light on Flemish and Afrikaans connections, and shares cultural cues—like always greeting staff on entry and exit—that open doors. For language nerds and nervous first‑timers alike, we tuck in an eye‑opening detour on English history that explains why Dutch often feels familiar to our ears. This mix of clarity, culture, and ready‑to‑use phrases is designed for real travel: short lines, quick wins, and better moments with people you meet. If your next trip includes bikes, canals, or stroopwafels, this guide will help you move with confidence and kindness.Loved the lesson? This episode is an ode to the organisational skills of the ICC and the dedication of the BCCI to make the Women's World Cup the biggest ever by throwing money at it.Rain started as a means of jeopardy in a WC has simply ruined it.Might add the lack of marquee venues and faraway venues has ensured the interest doesn't pique but decrease. So, this entire episode is a collection of Rain Sounds from PIXABAY. Enjoy.

W/C 13th October 2025I very rarely do this, but I have picked a song I don't know just because the title works for the episode.Anyway this is Gavin James, and I have to admit I actually quite like the song. It sounds very familiar, quite a bit Newton Faulkner-y. Anyway he's an Irish chap and has been on the go since 2015. He's opened for Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran and he has also produced an album called Winter Songs which I am definitely going to seek out (after all you know how I feel about winter albums).Stay safe.Tired - Gavin JamesTherapy For Me (or TFM as I now refer to it) is a bit of an audio curiosity. It started out as a mechanism for me to clear my head, with the hope that by saying stuff out loud it would act as a little bit of self-help. It's remains loose in style, fluid in terms of content and raw - it's a one take, press record and see what happens, affair. If you want to keep in touch with TFM and the other stuff I do then please follow me on Facebook, Insta, Twitter or Patreon. Thanks for getting this far.

W/C 6th October 2025I am going to pop out for a final run before the Manchester Half tomorrow. I hadn't planned on running today but my legs were a bit stiff yesterday so I am going to throw in a gentle 5-6 miler just to keep everything loose. It's probably all in my head, because I am ready, In fact I have been ready for a couple of months. At the beginning it was about whether I could cover the distance, which progressed to whether I could do it under two hours - but as I have answered both of these questions as part of my prep so tomorrow becomes about the enjoyment of the day. It's fitting that this event should fall on this weekend, because one of the initial prompts for TFM was the fact I was sat at home, with an injury, unable to get out for a run. The importance of running in my life was evident then, and thankfully that hasn't changed.Stay safe.P.S thanks to Shane & Christine (they both know why...)Here and Now - Del AmitriRob Brydon's Honky Tonk Road TripTherapy For Me (or TFM as I now refer to it) is a bit of an audio curiosity. W/C 29th September 2025As I suspected I had used this particular track for a TFM episode title, but as you will hear it is just too prescient not to go with for this week. The track itself is from 1992, and an album called Sleepwalking which I used to own but has somehow got lost in the journey to this point. I did try to get hold of it again, but it is quite difficult to late being out of print and seemingly in demand - I am guessing there is some confusion about licensing as it is also unavailable on most streaming services.Anyway I think it's a cracker, and a reminder of the kind of tune that Magnum could turn out, and the vocals I remember.Stay safe.Stormy Weather - MagnumTherapy For Me (or TFM as I now refer to it) is a bit of an audio curiosity. 0:00 - Last night, the injured, depleted JV Niners beat the Rams on the road in OT! Another Thursday Night Thriller. It got Brett thinking...has there been a Broncos "signature win" in the Sean Payton era? If they beat the Eagles on Sunday, that's will be a bonafide signature win.16:14 - RGIII said it best: "Stats are like a bikini. They show you a lot, but they don't show you everything." Brett has some stats about the Broncos defense and Eagles offense that may be fraudulent. 34:55 - MLB Wild Card round is in the books! The playoffs are set for real now. It was an exciting slate of baseball games! This new WC format is awesome.

John's website: www.harveyandlee.net Article: Westbrook and Croy by John Armstrong This new article focusses for the most part on Westbrook and Croy Article: The Murder of J.D. Tippit by John Armstrong Nearly everything that HARVEY Oswald and LEE Oswald did on 11/22/63 was pre-planned Bill Shelley was Oswald's supervisor at the Book Depository In 1963 Capt. Westbrook was in charge of the Personnel Dept. for the Dallas police Westbrook had nothing to do with Capt. Will Fritz's homicide and robbery division Yet following the shooting of President Kennedy Westbrook was everywhere He was the first police officer to arrive at the Texas Theater HARVEY Oswald rode to the Book Depository with Wesley Frazier Frazier's sister, Linnie Mae Randle, told the WC that Oswald was wearing a grey jacket with big sleeves CE 163 (the jacket) Westbrook's whereabouts from the time he was last seen at the police station (circa 12:35 pm) to his arrival at the book depository are unknown Westbrook told the WC that he walked one mile to the Texas Book Depository Building--a 22 minute walk Reserve officer Sgt. Croy told the WC that when President Kennedy was shot, at 12:30 PM, he was “sitting in his car at the city hallâ€â€”police headquarters According to Croy, he and his estranged wife had gone to lunch together at Austin's Barbecue John Armstrong believes that Croy met with Capt. Westbrook and rode in Westbrook’s dark blue, unmarked police car, driving to the Book Depository HARVEY Oswald boarded the Marsalis bus and then decided to get off the bus (around 12:44 PM) Two police officers boarded the bus and searched passengers for weapons, around 12:47 to 12:50 PM Why would police board a bus on Elm St. that was headed toward the Book Depository? This was not discussed nor investigated by the Warren Commission nor by the FBI nor the Dallas Police Police car 207 Police officer at the Tippit scene before the ambulance arrived The "discovery" of Oswald's jacket Westbrook was the in charge of personnel dept. Yet he did not remember the name of a single police officer with whom he came in contact that afternoon The second wallet found at the Tippit scene The second wallet was not entered into evidence The only items from this wallet that survived were the two identification cards with the name “Hidell†Two identification cards obtained from the second wallet showed Oswald and Hidell were the same person FBI agent James Hosty published his book Assignment Oswald in March 1996 For the first time, JFK researchers learnt about the second wallet which Hosty described in his book Researchers were desperate to interview Westbrook after learning about the second wallet But Westbrook died of cancer only a few weeks before the book was released !!! Following the shooting of HARVEY Oswald by Jack Ruby, Dallas Police Chief Jesse Curry assembled a special squad of detectives to investigate the murder of Oswald The senior police officer in charge of this "special squad" was none other than Capt. Westbrook Westbrook went on to work with the CIA Westbrook relocated to South Vietnam where he was a CIA-sponsored advisor to the Saigon Police Dept

On this week's Gegenpressing podcast, Manu and Stefan sit down to discuss Germany's two World Cup qualifiers against Slovakia and Northern Ireland. They breakdown the defeat in Bratislava and the victory over Michael O'Neill's side, debating whether or not Julian Nagelsmann is doing enough to blood new stars for the national team, rather than relying on the same, old faces. They then discuss Stefan's big article on Transfermarkt at the weekend, which broke down how much money the Premier League had spent on Bundesliga players in the summer transfer window and his discussions with Bundesliga executives about the quantity and quality of players that left the league for England.
