Two of our coolest guests ever join the show for this very special TV-centric episode, call it TV SHOWS I LOVE THAT NO ONE TALKS ABOUT. We're talking about QUARRY, the fantastic Cinemax series, with the creators of the show, Michael Fuller and Graham Gordy. A unique fusion of post-Vietnam social commentary, pulpy thriller, and psychological drama, this show is one of a kind. Logan Marshall Green is hypnotic in the lead, with Jodi Balfour, Damon Herriman, and Peter Mullan absolutely owning their diverse, fascinating supporting roles. One of my favorite TV series of all time. If you haven't seen the show, listen to the first half of the episode, where we review the pilot. Then watch the show and come back for the back half, where we discuss the entire series. QUARRY is available to watch on Amazon or iTunes (and check out our show Twitter or FB pages for a link to the pilot for free on YouTube). --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/dan-benamor/support

Big news! Shat on TV is covering "True Detective" Season 3 on HBO! After a breathtaking Season 1 and lackluster Season 2, "True Detective" is coming back strong, and we're all huge fans. Find out what why we're excited, and hear what The King Bee discovered during his sneak preview of the first two episodes. Mahershala Ali will play the lead role of detective Wayne Hays, while Stephen Dorff will play his partner detective Roland West. The season marks show creator Nic Pizzolatto's directorial debut. Jeremy Saulnier and Daniel Sackheim will share in director duties. Pizzolatto also serves as the showrunner and sole writer of the season, with the exception of the fourth and sixth episode, which he co-wrote with David Milch and Graham Gordy.
