In this highlight cut from episodes 350 and 351, hosts El Uno and TraB the Wonder dive into deep cultural truths, starting with the unspoken reality of male loneliness, the necessity of digging yourself out of your own holes, and why Father's Day is one of the few times men get recognized for holding it down. They contrast the modern aspirations of traveling the world with older generations whose lives revolved strictly around factory work and raising massive families , before getting into a heavy discussion on how capitalism, power, and changing demographics drive societal control.Pivoting to hip-hop, the hosts break down the definitive end of the Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef. They analyze how Kendrick dropping "Meet the Grahams" and "Not Like Us" completely stepped on Drake's "Family Matters". The duo celebrates the profound cultural impact of Kendrick unifying rival gang sets in Inglewood on Juneteenth without a single incident , before wrapping up the episode by roasting people who complain about Chipotle portions when they could just be supporting their local neighborhood taqueria.Download Rock Da Crowd TV on apple, android, and roku devices to watch new episodes of The Straight Dope Show00:00 - The Cold Reality of Manhood03:58 - Family Lineage vs. Personal Dreams10:52 - Demographics, Power, and Control18:12 - The Rap Battlefield Fallout24:22 - Juneteenth Unity at The Forum32:44 - The Taqueria Solution
Chuck Todd opens with the latest from the Iran war's increasingly costly stalemate, arguing Trump doesn't actually want a deal — he wants the ability to declare an accomplishment without ever looking like he capitulated, the same trick he ran with NAFTA and the JCPOA where he ripped up agreements only to sign nearly identical ones under new names. June, Chuck warns, is when the energy shock will start showing up in domestic prices, every day Hormuz stays closed exponentially increases the damage, consumers may begin behaving irrationally and hoarding, and a single bad natural disaster on top of all this could trigger a genuine crisis. But the heart of the episode is Chuck’s meditation on a single phrase: character is destiny in politics. It's not whether character flaws exist — everyone has them — but when those flaws become public and start affecting the people you were elected to serve. Trump's character problems were on display long before he ever became president, but his defenders now include the exact same Rubios and Grahams who used to blast him as morally unfit. And the most uncomfortable part of Chuck argument for the Democratic base: the same progressives who mocked Trump supporters for excusing his behavior are now using essentially identical defenses for Maine's Graham Platner — who has been accused of sexting in 2023, behavior that isn't youthful indiscretion and isn't going away. Chuck argues political parties used to function as imperfect but real vetting organizations, that once voters become emotionally invested in a candidate they will defend literally anything, that running for office sometimes becomes a substitute for therapy rather than a vehicle for service, and that democracy itself depends on elected officials being able to separate their personal motivations from their public obligations — something Biden failed at when his family obligations led to those preemptive pardons. He notes the Bidens were genuinely beloved before the election but Biden's ambition did real harm to his party, his family, and his own legacy. Todd points to Pope Leo as a potential moral leader Americans seem desperate for at exactly the moment when neither party seems remotely interested in finding the best possible actors. He observes that Platner vs. Collins is starting to feel like a rerun of Trump vs. Clinton in 2016 — two candidates voters genuinely don't want to choose between — and closes with quick hits on Jill Biden's forthcoming memoir, the California gubernatorial primary (where Xavier Becerra and Tom Steyer could finish in the top two), and the increasingly strange Los Angeles mayoral race in which Karen Bass appears to be deliberately ignoring Spencer Pratt because she would much rather face him in a general election than the genuinely formidable Nithya Raman. Then, Colorado Springs Mayor Yemi Mobolade — the independent who won a culturally conservative city by running as a true centrist who refuses to be boxed into either party — joins the Chuck Toddcast to make the case that quality-of-life governance still beats partisanship when voters are actually given the chance to choose it. Mobolade, who adapted his governing principles from Abraham Lincoln, argues that there's a genuine and growing appetite for leadership that isn't red or blue — but warns that working for unity is incredibly hard and tiring work that few politicians want to do anymore. He walks through Colorado Springs' fight to retain Space Command after Trump and Biden moved the headquarters back and forth between Colorado Springs and Huntsville, Alabama, and explains why he ultimately chose not to sue over the relocation (the decision was within the president's purview, and burning that bridge would have cost the city more than it gained). Mobolade describes hiring his own mayoral opponent Wayne Williams after the campaign — a move he calls part of his "radical collaboration" approach — and argues that mayors don't have the luxury of partisan posturing because their job is fundamentally about producing deliverables for actual residents who want safer streets, better services, and a higher quality of life. The conversation moves into the practical challenges facing every American mayor in 2026, with data centers emerging as the political pain point in nearly every community across the country. Mobolade describes calling an emergency meeting to develop a data center strategy for Colorado Springs, walks through the balanced-but-responsible-growth framework his team has settled on, and explains the tradeoffs honestly: residents are worried about quality-of-life impacts, but the tax revenue from data centers is exactly what cities need to fund essential services. Larger data centers in his city are now forced to pay impact fees to offset their costs, some are being placed on military bases for security purposes, and Mobolade is candid with residents that they cannot have the services they demand without the revenue base to pay for them. The conversation turns to Colorado Springs' housing shortage — the city has been named one of the best places for young people, but only if young people can actually afford to live there — and Mobolade discusses his work with HUD to expand supply, his belief that the country needs genuine innovation in finding cheaper ways to build, and his frustration with a Colorado political landscape that he says no longer has room for center-left and center-right voices the way it used to. His closing argument is the one that ties the whole episode together: the country needs more independent leadership, not because partisanship is bad in theory, but because the current version of it is incapable of delivering the basics that voters actually care about. Finally, Chuck hops into the ToddCast Time Machine to revisit two stories that occurred on the same day… the Tiananmen square massacre, and Poland’s first post-soviet elections. In a culture that constantly redefines truth, how do you build a marriage that actually stands firm? Dr. Kim sits down with Aaron and Amy Graham to talk about choosing faith over culture and why most marriages don't fall apart overnight—they slowly drift as outside voices shape what we believe about love, identity, and purpose. The Grahams challenge couples to examine those influences, guard their identity, and remember that marriage was designed for more than just their own happiness. This conversation is a powerful reminder that your spouse isn't meant to meet every need—and that intimacy with God is the foundation for a thriving marriage. Episode highlights: Drifting is a slow process. If we are to live a life that goes against culture, we must know truth and live by it. Marriage has a greater mission than just your happiness. Quotes from this Episode: The Grahams: If the church doesn't disciple people, the world gladly will. What does it look like to stand firm in a marriage? It's to not give the devil a foothold. Sometimes we don't realize how we have subtly imported a secular worldview into every area of our life. The enemy doesn't want to just tempt us to sin. He wants to reshape our identity and distort our worship. God has designed us for intimacy and that starts in our marriage relationship. We have to go into our marriage understanding that our spouse isn't going to solve all of our loneliness. We have to have relationship with God. The secular lie is that we determine what truth is: my feelings, my version of the truth. Marriage sometimes can become an idol for people when they don't have a bigger mission than just marriage. Because your marriage can become self centered- what the main mission- it's not just your happiness. Dr. Kim: So much of our faith is knowing that this God who created everything loves us conditionally in a culture where nobody loves us unconditionally- sometimes that's hard to get a hold of. Selfishness is something we have to be aware of our whole marriage because we can fall into that trap. God is never going to do anything in you that is not good for your marriage. Time to talk about it: Are there ideas we need to deconstruct in our marriage? What voices are we allowing to speak into our marriage? Do they align with the Truth? What disciplines do we need to implement to show that our marriage is a priority and to honor the union that God has brought together? Mentioned in This Episode: Connect with Aaron and Amy Graham. The Hip Hop Daily (or similar "Beef War Report" coverage) chronicling the 2024 Kendrick Lamar and Drake feud provides an exhaustive deep dive into a rivalry that transitioned from a decade of "cold war" sneak-disses to an unprecedented lyrical scorched-earth campaign. The episode meticulously traces the escalation starting with Kendrick's explosive verse on "Like That," where he rejected J. Cole's "Big Three" narrative in favor of "Big Me," effectively baiting Drake into a direct confrontation. Listeners are guided through the rapid-fire release cycle of April and May 2024, analyzing the strategic psychological warfare used in tracks like Drake's "Push Ups" and the controversial AI-assisted "Taylor Made Freestyle," contrasted against Kendrick's scathing multi-part response including "Euphoria," "6:16 in LA," and the haunting "Meet the Grahams." The report highlights the climax of the beef with the record-breaking success of "Not Like Us," which transformed serious personal allegations into a global club anthem, effectively shifting the cultural zeitgeist. By examining the fallout—ranging from Drake's legal maneuvers to Kendrick's triumphant Super Bowl LIX announcement—the episode frames the conflict not just as a battle for rap supremacy, but as a definitive historical marker that redefined the "Big Three" era and solidified Kendrick Lamar's position as a cultural heavyweight.

I have been looking forward to that episode. He got cold feet. Too bad. On the other hand, I tend to avoid active politicians. Because they're rarely as candid as I'd like a guest to be. Oh well.A fan of last week's pod who lives near Atlanta writes, “The longtime Dishheads on the Mableton cul-de-sac definitely approve of your interview with homegrown talent Zaid Jilani”:I agree with his description of Mableton as a bit like the United Nations; I see that diversity in our grocery stores and local restaurants. He mentioned how he was often the only Pakistani and thus perceived as a nonthreatening minority. It makes me wonder how much the diversity mix affects how people perceive immigration? If a large group from one country arrives, does that seem more like an invasion? If a similar number arrives but from a wide range of locations, does that seem more like the normal American melting pot? After 30 years of living in Mableton, this may partly explain why I am not bothered by immigration in the way that you are, Andrew. I expect to see and hear all sorts of people wherever I go in my neighborhood. Today the teller at the bank spoke accented English. There are regular clerks at my grocery store who are immigrants. Our new HVAC was installed by immigrants. As an Atlanta suburb, there are many people descended from African slaves. European ancestry is merely one possibility off the long colorful menu around here.I think pace and numbers matter. A slower pace and fewer — with no massive homogenous populations arriving at once. And a new emphasis on Americanization over “multiculturalism”.From a listener who wants to “Make Democrats Great Again”:Great conversation with Zaid Jilani last week. I am very concerned that hardly any Democrats are being at all introspective, trying to figure out where they went wrong and how to become a party that can actually win elections — maybe even hearts and minds. They are only defined as anti-Trump, and their only hope is for Trump to go down in flames — which he very well might, but all they aspire to is winning as the least-worst party. The policy directions for reclaiming sanity and moderate voters are obvious (to me, at least). Here are my top three issues:1. AffordabilityThe longest lever to affect affordability is housing. Democrats have been complete failures in this regard, with strongholds like California and NYC being the least affordable places. When they talk about “affordable housing,” they only mean housing that is forced below market rate for the few poor people lucky enough to get it. They offer no solutions for the middle class or young people. The solution is obvious: build more. Plough through the various restrictions that are preventing housing from being built. There is no reason housing can't be cheap, except for NIMBY politics. Scott Weiner in California has been doing great work on this.Health care is the second-longest affordability lever. Obamacare made some progress, but not nearly enough, especially in terms of keeping costs down. But I'm not sure we're ready for another push on this; I say focus on housing.2. ImmigrationObviously there should be some immigration, and obviously we have structured our economy such that many jobs are only done by immigrants. But the Democrats' policy of simply not enforcing immigration law is untenable, especially for a group asking to be put in charge of law enforcement. We need those migrant workers, so find a way for them be here legally. Not through amnesty, but through some sort of bureaucratic process: have the employers fill out a form; have the prospective worker fill out a form in some office in Mexico; have someone process the form; and give them a green card. This is simple stuff! And yes, it would be helpful to admit that open borders, sanctuary cities, and subverting the law were not good ideas.3. CultureEnd wokeness. America is not a country consumed by white supremacy, and the people who voted for Trump are not racists. There are hardly any racists! And drop the other insanities, like the trans stuff. The message needs to be, “We are the Democrats and we want to help anybody from any state who needs help.” Hard to convince struggling white people in the South that you're going to help them when you seem to despise them. Love your brother, for crying out loud. And naturally, today's woke Democrats would be much more accepting of this message if it came from a racial minority candidate.Another wanted to hear more:I wish you had asked Zaid about Josh Shapiro. Also, when Zaid talked about affordability, he never mentioned housing — which is why there are so many ex-Californians in his home state of Georgia and elsewhere. “Build Baby Build” should be the slogan of the Democratic Party, rather than gaslighting Americans into believing housing prices will come down because we are getting rid of immigrants (Vance). Here's a dissent:About 20:30 into your interview with Zaid Jilani, he said that the root of all the Abrahamic faiths is that the meek have rights. You replied that this applied more to Christianity and Islam than to Judaism. I say this neither rhetorically nor to admonish you, but how much do you know about Judaism? Your comment is completely mistaken. Just what do you think Judaism says about the meek?Another has examples:In Genesis, you find that all humans were created b'tzelem Elohim (in the image of God). Moreover, Jewish texts consistently frame care for the poor as a legal obligation and moral imperative, not mere charity. Every Jewish child learns that promoting economic justice is mandated. It is called tzedakah. This religious mandate has manifested itself in the real world. Jews have been disproportionately represented in social justice movements aimed at promoting human equality. It wasn't an accident that two of three civil rights movement activists murdered in Neshoba County, Mississippi by the Ku Klux Klan were Jewish.Points taken. Big generalizations in a chat can be dumb. My quarrel may be semantic: the meek is not merely the weak. It's about the quiet people, those easily trampled upon. Like many of Jesus' innovations, it takes a Jewish idea further.Another listener on the Zaid pod:I wonder if you ever play the game of “which time would you like to go back to”? I do! And only half-jokingly, I often say 1994 in DC. Something about, for example, Christopher Hitchens on CSPAN in a dreary suit jacket discussing such *trivial* aspects of politics in a serious way. How perfect! When I listened to your episode with Zaid Jilani about how the left can win, it seemed dated to about this period in the early ‘90s.Ah yes, the Nineties. They were heady times and I think we all kinda realized it at the time. The economy was booming, crime was plummeting, Annie Leibovitz took my picture, and we had the luxury of an impeachment over a b*****b. Good times. On another episode, a listener says I have a “rose-colored view of President Obama”:In your conversation with Jason Willick, you said that Obama was a stickler for proper procedure and doing things the right way. I might instance, on the other side:* Evading the constitutional requirements on treaties in pursuit of the Iran deal (an evasion that the Republicans were stupid enough to go along with)* Encouraging the regulatory gambit of “sue and settle”* The “Dear Colleague” letter* “I've got a pen and a phone”Points taken. Especially the DACA move. But compared to Biden and Trump? Much better. One more listener email:I've been following you for years, but more recently I became a subscriber, and it's a decision I don't regret! I usually listen to the Dishcast over the weekend, and I always find it extremely stimulating, but there is also something relaxing about the length and scope of your conversations.I want to respond to something you said in your Claire Berlinski episode on the subject of Ukraine. Although I appreciate your position in defence of international law, you implied that Russia's claim to Ukrainian land is somehow “historically legitimate.” This is not only problematic from a logical standpoint (does Sweden have a historically legitimate claim to Finland and Norway, or does the UK have a claim to the Republic of Ireland, the US, and all its former colonies?), but also not based on historical reality.Unfortunately, this is not the first time your comments on Ukraine seem come through the prism of a Russian lens. I am sure it's not intentional; perhaps that's not a subject you have invested much time in, which is legitimate. However, I find it a bit surprising that, as we approach the fifth year of Russia's full-scale invasion, you still don't seem to have had the curiosity to explore this and invite any specialist on Ukraine. If Timothy Snyder is too political these days, I would recommend Serhii Plokhy — possibly the most eminent historian of Ukraine — or Yaroslav Hrytsak. They would each be a very interesting conversation. The Dishcast has featured many guests with expertise on the Ukraine war, including Anne Applebaum (twice), John Mearsheimer, Samuel Ramani (twice), Edward Luttwak, Fiona Hill (twice), Robert Wright, Robert Kaplan, Fareed Zakaria, Douglas Murray, Edward Luce, and Niall Ferguson.A reader responds to last week's column, “The President Of The 0.00001 Percent”:Like you, I'm not against people getting rich. A lot of good is done by a few people who have enough money to seed research and the arts, and pursue things that ordinary worker bees would never have the margin of time or resources to pursue. Good so far.But all strong forces need regulation and/or protective barriers, whether it's the weather, sex, patriotism, or capitalism. What's going on now is obscene. Progressive taxation is a social good: it doesn't stop anyone from getting richer and richer; it doesn't remove the positive motivators for success; it just means that the farther they get, the higher their proportionate contribution to the system that lets them get there. There are various ways to tweak the dials, but there is nothing philosophically wrong with tweaking them in a way the sets some outer limit. Let it be very high, but let it not be infinite. Here's a familiar dissent:You were right to torch the nihilism of the .00001 class. You were right to call out moral evasions. But when you referred to “the IDF's massacre of children in Gaza,” you collapsed a morally and legally distinct reality into a slogan. Words matter. “Massacre” implies intent. It suggests that the deliberate killing of children is policy rather than tragic consequence. That is a serious charge, and it deserves serious evidence. The governing reality in Gaza is not that Israel woke up one morning and decided to target children.
Graham shares gripping stories from the field - including a ten-foot Boone and Crockett brown bear hunt in Alaska - while highlighting how integrated shooting systems have dramatically increased success rates for guides and clients alike. The conversation explores the importance of shooter confidence, the advantages of suppressed rifles, and the "buy once, cry once" philosophy when investing in high-end gear.

A Legacy of Hope: The Sunshine State Good News Tour Join Pastor Jack King as he talks with Steve Rhodes, Vice President of Church Ministry for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. Steve shares exciting details about the upcoming "Sunshine State Good News Tour," led by Will Graham, the grandson of the renowned Billy Graham. This conversation explores the continuation of a powerful family legacy and the vital importance of sharing the gospel today. Main Points from the Discussion: -- The tour is called the "Sunshine State Good News Tour" and will make four stops across Florida, beginning in Tallahassee. -- The message is the same as Billy Graham's: a clear, unswerving focus on the gospel of Jesus Christ and the hope it offers. -- The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Franklin Graham's Samaritan's Purse ministry work together to bring help and hope "in the name of Jesus." -- The tour events are designed to be family-friendly festivals with great music, and all are encouraged to bring their own chairs or blankets. -- The true mission of these events is not just for the Grahams to preach but to equip and encourage local Christians to invite their lost friends, neighbors, and family members. -- Churches are reminded not to lose sight of their "true north"—the cross of Jesus Christ—by getting distracted by political or cultural issues. -- A lack of hunger for God and a desire to be in His presence is like an illness, and the solution is to humbly ask God to restore our passion and first love. ******* This is the radio program with the music removed. I sat down with Rob Woodall to talk all things peak bagging. After completing all the Munros, Corbetts and Grahams, Rob progressed to more obscure categories such as HuMPs (hundred metres of prominence) and TuMPs (thirty and upwards metres of prominence), via some long distance hill running rounds (The UK Big Three, the Rigby Round, and his Cuillin Round to name a few). Rob also devised the Trans Cuillin but never got to complete it - James Gibson doing this in 2023.From an early age Rob was interested in maps, and as one list led to another in 2016 he became the first person to visit all 6190 British Trig points - a huge feat which required negotiation with not a few landowners, and even special arrangements to visit trigs within military facilities. We chatted about his recent trips to Norway and Turkey, where he has been ascending P1000 mountains (mountains with a prominence of 1000m or more). In 2014 he became the first person to complete all 1556 Marilyns, UK peaks of P150m (150 metres prominence). The final crux of this endeavor were the 6 summits on the remote archipegalo of St Kilda, two of which - Stac an Armin and Stac Lee - are stacks rising vertically out of the Atlantic and requiring not only calm sea conditions and an approach between October and March to avoid gannet restrictions, but also careful landing stretegies and roped climbing techniques. Rob has always been a collector - he describes initially 'completing' classic symphonies eg by Brahms, Mahler and Sibelius, then also collecting logs of birds, plants, and long distance hill running rounds, as well as his astromonical number of peaks worldwide in a whole range of categories from TuMPs and HuMPs, right up the Ultras - which have 1500m prominence. I also mention a list of P4000m Peaks - but this is a worldwide list not a South American list as I state. Further information on these categories and more can be found at www.peakbagger.com, where Rob is ranked #1 worldwide for his P-Index (a calculation designed to indicate the number and quality of prominent peaks the person has climbed). Rob has even been involved in some work to relocate 'lost' trigpoints, and to find previously uncategorised hills. Many thanks to Rob for giving us a glimpse into his world of prominence and relative peaks. If you want to buy me a cuppa to help support the podcast, thank you and please do at: https://ko-fi.com/finlaywild

In 2005, Lorraine McCall left her house to 'go for a walk' on her 40th birthday and didn't stop until she had walked up, and between, all 284 Munros in Scotland (2 Munros have since been downgraded, so there are now officially only 282!) This was a journey of 1,500 miles on foot. Ten years later, Lorraine tackled all 222 Corbetts to celebrate her 50th birthday, and most recently, Lorraine became the first woman to summit all 231 Grahams in a single push in 2024 (she's about to turn 60!) We think you will agree that Lorraine is Kenton's most under-stated, humble, unassuming guest so far. She has walked, cycled and kayaked thousands of miles across Scotland purely for the love of it. She shuns technology and her footprint on social media is tiny. In this episode we learn all about the classification of hills in Scotland and the challenges of getting up some of them, but mostly we come away with an appreciation for Lorraine who found her chosen adventures and embraced them wholeheartedly, overcoming the difficulties and continually finding joy in them. What's Lorraine reading? Music in the Dark by Sally Magnusson What's Lorraine listening to? Celtic Connections playlist

In 2000, 4-year-old Rilya Wilson was living with her sister and foster parents, Pamela Graham and Geralyn Graham, in the Miami, Florida area. During this time, Rilya was still under the care of The Florida Department of Children and Families. In April 2002, a new caseworker was assigned to oversee her care, but when they visited the home, her foster parents claimed that DCF had removed Rilya from their custody nearly two years prior. Unable to locate any record of this, Rilya was reported missing. However, it wasn't long before the truth about the Grahams and DCF came to light, exposing the many failures in Rilya's case. If you have any information about Rilya Wilson, contact the Florida Department of Law Enforcement at (850) 410-8161. For more information about the show, visit VoicesforJusticePodcast.com. The more I listen, the more it grows on me. Keep it up. Please.” August100 we will keep it up and we thank you for your wonderful review. Today's author wrote one of the best selling science fiction books of all time, Dune. Frank Herbert was born in Tacoma, Washington in 1920. His lied about his age to get the first of many newspaper jobs in 1939. Herbert loved photography, buying his first camera at the age of ten. In 1942, during World War II, he was a photographer in the U.S. Navy's Seabees. He served for six months but suffered a head injury and was given a medical discharge.Frank Herbert said he had been reading science fiction for about ten years, before he began writing sci-fi, and said some of his favorite authors were H. G. Wells, Robert A. Heinlein, Poul Anderson and Jack Vance. His first science fiction story Looking for Something, was published in the April 1952 issue of Startling Stories. He began researching Dune in 1959 and the novel was published six years later. But, did you know the world was first exposed to the Dune World in a December 1963 issue of Analog science fiction magazine. It was featured on the cover. That 1963 issue contained Part One of Thee Parts of Dune World.Dune was then rejected by almost twenty book publishers, and in his rejection letter one editor wrote, "I might be making the mistake of the decade, but…”Sterling Lanier of the Chilton Book Company, the company most often associated with automobile repair manuals, was exposed to Dune World in Analog and offered Herbert a $7,500 advance plus future royalties for the rights to publish Dune. Obviously Dune was a success, winning the Nebula Award for best novel in 1965 and sharing the Hugo Award in 1966 with Call Me Conrad by Roger Zelazny. However, Dune, was not an immediate bestseller, and following its publication he went back to writing for newspapers. He didn't become a full-time author until 1972.In addition to his numerous novels Herbert wrote about 30 short stories, six of them are in the public domain. Tom Horn first arrived in Wyoming in 1892. He had spent most of a decade chasing Apache down in Arizona before diving headfirst into a feud known as the Pleasant Valley War. Although Tom's actions during the feud remain unclear, he most likely fought on the side of the Tewksbury's against their avowed enemies, the Grahams. And despite wearing the badge of a Gila County Sheriff's deputy, Horn would participate in the lynching of at least three men. This was followed by a stint with the Pinkertons, a job that saw Tom working on the behest of the cattle barons up in Johnson County, Wyoming. Once again, Horn's involvement is somewhat shrouded in mystery, but he is suspected of assassinating at least two men on behalf of the large ranchers. Whether or not that's true is unknown, but Tom did help to put an end to the notorious Red Sash Gang. Next, Horn would drift south and find employment as a Range Detective at John Coble's Iron Mountain Ranch, doing pretty much the same work he had done in Johnson County: investigating stock theft and working as an enforcer for large spreads. The only difference was that Horn had lost all faith in the judicial system by this point. Rather than waste time arresting criminals only for the courts to set them free, Tom resolved to handle business his way, and it just so happened that his way entailed a whole helluva lot of killing. Also discussed: The Apache Kid, Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid, the Spanish American War, Matt Rash, Isom Dart, and Black Jack Ketchum.
