This scenario will feature cosmic horror, but also racism and classism. Listener discretion is advised. At the height of the Great Depression in California, three men are drawn into the area of Bryson Springs. One, a temporary resident of the Hooverville, trying to lay low, despite his conspicuousness. One, from the city, coming to help one of his own. One, a land owner, troubled by recent events.Regardless, they are drawn in to the murder of a Chinese man in the Hooverville under mysterious circumstances. These circumstances will bring the three and the rest of the town into danger, and it will take their all, and maybe a bit of help from a familiar gun, to survive the fear and panic and worse things...Fear and Panic is a game in early access, by Lyme. It's a horror game that utilizes fear as a means to help tell the story and drive characters. It is available at Lyme's itch.io page.Bryson Springs is a systemless scenario written by Caleb Stokes. It is available as a stand alone purchase as a pdf at DriveThruRPG, or as a part of the Great Depression horror collection No Security, at DriveThruRPG in print, or at Hebanon Games itcho.io in pdf.Ethan - GMBen - Shun Zhu aka Sammy, Chinese Community Organizer from the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association from San FranciscoDan - Teddie Wirth, Landowner from Bryson SpringsGreg - Maverick Donaghue aka Miles Douglas, Hitman from Cleveland

When they pull a knife, you just pull out your iPod and tell 'em to listen to this.* Cthulhu on Parade! is back with two whole new episodes! This time, we're playing Hebanon Games' The Red Tower scenario, and although the first session is tragically lost to time, the collected sequels (thus far) are presented here in their entirety (except where edited by guest editor Goggleman64 aka "Will M") and filmed in glorious technicolor. It's 1930s Chicago, shortly after the fall of Al Capone. Plucky FBI investigator Harper Winslow has gallantly stumbled into a nightmare world of power struggles and rampant mob activity, aided in his quest for justice by hardboiled local law enforcer Barry Zbigniew, a man wholly dedicated to his particular brand of peacekeeping who plays by the rules and gets results. With this (wise)crack(ing) team assembled, the investigation proceeds... Also Agent Winslow is in contact with a newspaper that has a missing star reporter (Will told me to write that because he missed it when he recorded the introduction) Will M as Keeper of Arcane Lore Stephen as Barry Zbigniew, police officer with a strong interest in self-preservation. Will B as Agent Harper Winslow, dedicated to following leads and solving crimes. *Never do this. The Red Tower PDF is free and available here: http://hebanongames.com/no-security-the-red-tower/

1967 Brazil: RYAN WHITEHEAD, hot off the success of his first novel (Man Jesus with the Golden Arm) has become a revered author in the growing American counter-culture. Described as “the next Hunter Thompson rising from the swamps of Southern Gothic,” the author has his pick of book deals and assignments. Seeking to cash-in on his long-awaited success, Whitehead signs a contract with Blammo! magazine for a cover piece. The determining factor in his decision? Free tickets to Brazil and a per diem for alcohol. The piece is meant to cover construction of the Transamazon Highway. After the coup of ’64, the military government promised the people they’d cut a highway through the untamed jungle that ran the length of the entire river. Rumor has it that the encampment of the workers, nicknamed “Little Altamira,” is a lawless border town of drugs, sex, and every other vice imaginable. The town limps behind the steamrollers, rebuilding itself every day so it can party all through the night. Blammo! is eager for a piece over this lawless bordertown in Whitehead’s inimitable style. At the insistence of the author, accompanying is ALBERT CAPCHKA, Ryan’s life-long friend, lawyer, and drug dealer. Making sure the boys actually do some writing at the end of all their partying is GABRIELLA LARENTINO, a Portuguese immigrant, editor for the magazine’s feminist coverage, and all-around professional stickler. Together, they head down the river to intercept Little Altamira as it cuts its way across the jungle. Then things go terribly wrong, of course.   This was one of the Skype sessions run by Hebanon Games and RPPR’s own Caleb Stokes, for his successfully funded Kickstarter “No Security: Horror Scenarios in the Great Depression.” Be sure to check out Hebanon Games ASAP!
